Summer months like August is not a good time to see this Prairie Creek Waterfall. So best time is in rainy time. We visit today 08-20-2024 Wednesday but waterfall is totally dried. Location is good walking trails is very nice but cant seen waterfall at all.

It cant be helped, but I suppose there is a drought going on, which means there were no falls. Some trash along the trail. Heavy smell of sewage (probably due to low, stagnant water). Did see lots of turtles! Trails had potential and are probably nicer when the water is flowing. Barely any parking, like 5 spots. Had to park along the street which was fine. Neighbors putting no parking signs up. Its a public street. Legally, you can park where you want, as long as you dont block a mailbox, fire hydrant, or driveway.

Its pretty for sure. Was a nice little park to check out. And it was cool to see the turtles and the bird when we went up to the bridge. Easy to get to as well so thats a plus for someone from out of town.

What an incredible find! This park is tucked away in a quiet Richardson neighborhood with a shady trail and the famous waterfall. Lots of benches border the trail and the falls that offer places to rest and enjoy the view. Parking is a little hard to come by, I suggest going during the week, but its very much worth the visit.

Friendly neighborhood creek with various sizes of fish, snakes, and other wildlife. Great waterfall with families, photographers, and outdoor enthusiasts stop to capture memories. Great inner city escape for all ages. Only suggestion is if you re with smaller kiddo s, I would stick mostly to the main paths. There was quite a bit of trash including feminine waste products. Wish I had time to take a garbage bag out there. Either way, up to you as a parent (= Almost got a picture of a medium sized snake darting into the water in less crowded areas. Endured many mosquito bites while trying to get the shot, but was unsuccessful. Well worth it and yes, already layered up with bug spray twice before that. They weren t too bad around the main walking trails only off the beaten path.

This place is everything they made it out to be and more the nature the waterfalls and trails are awesome it was my first time going and I plan on going back to picnic the fish & turtles had me for 15 minutes or so lol after that I was able to get the full experience it was crowded with people taking graduation pictures but I don t blame them I see exactly why they chose this place to take pictures it s absolutely stunning and amazing if you like & enjoy nature we went late in the day so the mosquitos were a pest but other than it was cool

Pretty cool place for photos. Road leading to it is under construction now at 11-22-23. Waterfall feature is incredibly slick so I wouldnt try walking out on it. Also please throw your trash away properly so we dont have to remove your garbage in order to take a beautiful photograph without litter in it.

Beautiful place with soothing sounds to calm your mind and body. Happening place as you will see people fishing, doing photoshoots, playing with their dogs and bonding with small kids. The place with a great view and surroundings full of life. Playground: Good for small games like frisbee plays, badminton etc. Toilets: I haven t seen any due to the construction works going around. Dog-friendliness: It s a dog friendly area and you ll find many people walking their dogs. Picnic area: Good place for a small family picnic and jolly time with kids and family. Just be cautious to not litter around.

Its a very nice and beautiful trail for a walk. Its hard to get photos of the waterfall with all the people around, but it is a hotspot for photoshoots. There arent many parking spots, but if you drive around the perimeter there are street parking areas to access the park.

It literally is what you see in the pictures other reviewers have posted. Parking was tricky because many of the homes have Karens who post no parking signs on the city maintained roads near the area. The trail is easy enough to bring kids along. When crossing the stream you will get your feet slightly wet. If you look at the water more upstream frori the waterfall, you will then notice the water quality. It has a flim on top of the water and is slow moving that trash and debris collect in varies areas along its banks. Good for picture taking with the falls and rocks but overall it has no WOW factor Toilets: No restrooms Picnic area: There are benches to sit on

Beautiful waterfall and walking trails. Its hard to believe we were in the middle of a populated area. Tall trees and a very easy trail with bridges. This is a spot for many people to take prom and graduation pictures. Limited parking. It can get quite busy at times. No restrooms, picnic tables, or playgrounds. Ok for dogs on leash.
