Absolutely a great place. From the moment I opened the door I felt like I was home from college. What a wonderful staff and all I could do was smile. And feel like I belonged. The food was absolutely wonderful. Fresh everything. I seem to find myself stopping in a few times a week just to have a meal and talk about stuff like an old friend would invite you to lunch. I hope they stay around for a long time.

I decided to stop at spring valley station to get a drink from 711 and Im glad I did. There was Im assuming an owner passing out free food. I dont know the name of the dish I got but it was excellent. I will definitely be stopping by this place to try so other stuff. Its definitely worth it to go check out their food 5 star all the way

To be honest, I was underwhelmed by the food EXCEPT for the falafel. The falafel here is hands down the best Ive had. While the hummus had an excellent, smooth texture, the flavor was lacking for me. The shish kabob was dry and chewy, and again, lacking in flavor. On a more positive note, the customer service was great. Everyone was friendly and helpful explaining the different menu items offered.

My girlfriend and I have eaten here a couple of times. We were skeptical about the atmosphere at first. But the sweet old man greeted us with a smile! They have some pretty good food to make up for the atmosphere. I recommend more of their sandwiches, wraps, and burgers. The meat is properly seasoned and cooked to perfection. I wouldnt recommend the kabab platter. Which comes with lentil soup. Because you can tell it came from a can. And the platter itself didnt come with a copious amount of food. And the pita was from a package. Its not worth the amount of money you would be paying for it. But I would still recommend this place for their sandwiches and the service.

I cant believe that this restaurant has been in existence for 24 years and I didnt know about it. Its a family owned restaurant, a hole in the wall with excellent home cooked Mediterranean food with real ingredients. A lot of vegetarian and vegan options too. The owners are real, nice, and authentic. The atmosphere is not why you would come here but the great food. The price is just right. I ate like a king under $20 and my meal included soup, Turkish coffee, and bottled water (they only have bottled water). Anyway, its an easy 5 star rated place. Vegetarian options: Its Mediterranean food therefore a lot of vegetables including salads, hummus, falafel, etc.

Family-owned Restaurant thats been at the same location since 1998. The falafels are bigger than the balls you can just buy in the store, but theyre also tastier. The chicken is all natural, cage free / free range & organic and organic fed. Its also really tasty! A tiny bit spicy, but totally manageable. The Philly Cheese Steak was good, but not great. The cheese was not plentiful,l and not melted. That being said, it was custom made to my specifications with lite onions and no bell peppers, and it was still tasty, but not delicious. Overall, I would say Ive found a good neighborhood cafe that I can visit again when I want Mediterranean foods. As an Atheist, I still very much appreciate Halal foods and everything here is Halal, as confirmed by the owners. Personally, Halal foods just taste better. There were a few people along with the owners sitting in the back smoking hooka. As a smoker myself, I dont mind at all, but some might find that off-putting. Theres also a TV that didnt have anything playing until right before we left, amd then it was just commercials; likely live TV. All said & done, Ill be back. It was a very tasty meal and a happy experience with very friendly owners/staff and reasonable prices.

We were looking for a halal Mediterranean restaurant with good reviews and chose here for two reasons. Grand Cafe had so much good reviews and prices were reasonable. The first impression was okay for me. The owner is very welcoming and thoughtful. They have some personnel only corner in the restaurant, like they are doing their own things at the side of the place. I dont know I think they could put some curtains or folding screen to make it more private. Anyways we got the menu ordered our foods. It was kinda fast ,we didnt wait that long which was great as we were really hungry but unfortunately they brought my hot food in a plastic plates with plastic utensils. That was very disappointing for me as its very unhealthy. My hot soup had a plastic spoon in it. I dont use anything plastic with hot beverages or dishes. I wish at least they would use paper plates if they dont want to wash dishes. Other than that the food was good, prices were reasonable if you compare to other restaurants. But plastic plates, forks, spoons are not acceptable for me.

Absolutely appalled by the thief owner. Not only does he advertise a daily lunch special, once you pay for it he does not honor it and instead charges you more money for less food. I was extremely shocked. This was my third and final time ordering from here as the old man working here (owner) has stolen money from me each time. Atleast 3 to five dollars worth of food. False advertises a lunch special to reel customers in, takes their money, and then does not honor the lunch special and completely rips you off but not including the major meal items. I ve tried to look past the run down kitchen and the dirty shape of the dining area, but it seems to me he s ripping the customers he does have off in order to offset for the ones he s lost. I hope this business gets shut down, cheating your customers out of food that you advertise to bring them to your establishment and then stealing from them is immoral and disgusting. The owner should be ashamed.

They really give a touch of a great home cooked meal and make you feel like family was cooking for you. I extremely recommend the chicken, falafel, and hummus. Will definitely come again!

The vegetables were fresh. The tabouli was very well done with a balanced flavor. The hummus was silky and smooth. The pita bread was not to my liking. It was very thin and chewy. The inside of the falafel was wet and seemed like it was undercooked.
