Me & my wife were visiting for the first time and was looking forward to the pancakes since the establishment was named hot pancakes but the pancakes we got were not what we expected. We thought we were going to get freshly cooked pancakes but they were more so like the pancakes we get from McDonalds but just bigger. Also the grits were very runny and like the ones you will get from a hotel breakfast bar. Next our scrambled eggs were not from fresh eggs but carton eggs. The sausage was also like the ones you get from McDonalds plus the bacon was super thin as well as the ham. So with this being said, we were highly disappointed especially with them advertising food as fresh never frozen.

Dont let the Gas Station strip store corner location deter. Our #1 favorite no frills diner for Hot Breakfast in the area. Clean. Genuine and Friendly. Good Value. Breakfast until 3pm. Thank you Sarah for taking care of us. Breakfast was great. Service was fantastic and well be back again. The Google price says 1$-$10 and you can truly get a great breakfast for under $10. Make your own breakfast is three items for $6.50 and a drink for $1.50. And I cant say enough about the staff. I witnessed an interaction with a customer that warmed my heart. Good food, good people. You MUST stop her for breakfast if you are in the area . Parking: Its in the lot with the gas station. There is plenty around the edge of the lot.

Great place for breakfast. It isn t a luxury experience per se but for me the appeal is in the simplicity. The staff is friendly but not overbearing. They genuinely seem like warm, friendly people and the hospitality doesn t seem forced. Everything is a well packed in clutter of efficiency . The folk style mural (painting) of Dallas gives the restaurant a lot of vibe. It s a small town American Diner that lives in the city. The biscuits are the closest I ve had to true southern style biscuits since I left my hometown. At checkout I was glad to see that the credit card screen did not push me to tip. There were 2 options No Tip and Custom Tip . That is beautifully unusual at a full service restaurant in a time when even the worst fast food places push for 20%+ tips and make you carry your own food to the table. My only complaint was Tap for more

10/10 experience. Customer service: Our waitress was a sweet lady named Sarah. She was fantastic. Friendly, personable and attentive. She definitely added to the overall positive atmosphere of the diner. Food: everything was fresh and well seasoned. I had blueberry pancakes, sausage/egg/cheese croissant, and hot chocolate. My partner had turkey sausage and cheese croissant and a banana nut waffle. We both agreed our food ranged between an 8-9/10. The portions are more than enough and the food came out quickly. Atmosphere: Perfect dinner vibes. Everyone from the server to the cooks and the food runners to the cashiers were friendly and had a smile. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you for the great service!

Great food, great service, and even great prices!! We got the HOT PANCAKES PLATTER (HPP) WITH 2 PANCAKES $10.95 and the CHILI & CHEESE Omelet for $10.95. Everything was so good but especially the omelet!! The waitress was super nice and great at her job. There was a designated coffee guy who kept coming around and topping our coffee off and it was great. They even had sugar free syrup. Oh and did I mention the food came out blazing fast and piping hot??? I literally wanted to go back the very next day!! Plenty of parking and located right next to a gas station if you wanna fill up on some gas.

If youre looking for a new breakfast/brunch spot to check out, this is it. From the time you walk in to the time you leave, you will experience great satisfaction. The food, the prices, the service, is all top notch. The only drawback to this place is that its not open 24 hours. Ill try to remember to add photos during my next visit, this time my food just had no chance lol. I was starving and the stuffed french toast is one of my favorite things here. I visit this restaurant maybe 2-3 times a week, sometimes more. This place easily beats iHop, Dennys, and Waffle House. Im not endorsed, I have no percentage of ownership, nor does any of my family work here. This is just my feedback from my many experiences with this establishment. Dont wait, trust me you wont regret it!

Great value, hearty breakfast, fast and friendly service! We both got the Pick 3 breakfast plate for $6.50 + coffee for $1.50 = $8 total per person, what a steal! The eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns were good. The waffle was soggy and was the only thing I wouldnt order again. The server was friendly and the food came out quick. The coffee refill person came over multiple times to keep our coffees topped off. Great local spot for a quick breakfast at a great price!

I just love this little breakfast spot, and for several reasons. First, dont judge a book by its cover, as this is in a strip shopping center literally next door to a gas station. However, upon going in, it has a small town diner feel (not the kitchy 50s diner, but small restaurant with tables and a dine at counter) with such a friendly atmosphere. Even when busy, your food comes out super fast and hot, and the waitstaff are just so kind and welcoming. They know several regulars by name, as they address them as soon as they walk in the door. My husband and I have only been there 3 or 4 times but they still treat us just as kind - so there is no awkward outsider feeling to it. Just a great place for breakfast, try it out.

This place has the best textured, flavored pancakes I think I ve had outside home. Just had my second visit there and proved to myself that the first time was not a fluke haha. I will say, I ve never eaten my pancakes before my bfast today, I did. I hate breakfast diners with bitter coffee they can make or break your breakfast. Hot Pancakes coffee was also on point. Just a sprinkle of sugar, no cream necessary. YES! The staff is friendly and helpful. Vanessa anticipated a question on an item and was quick to advise. Our glass/cup was never empty. Extra points. Lol There are many things on the menu so your breakfast/lunch cravings are good to go. I think they close at 2 or 3 so plan accordingly. I wish I d taken a pic of the breakfast before I jumped in. It was very good. Going back next week to try their burger.

Hot Pancakes is great! This is my first time. Theyve got a wonderful build-your-own menu for people who are eating, for instance, keto. And the regular menu is great, too! I had the chicken biscuit plate. Its an open face giant biscuit half, topped with a fried chicken filet, cheese and gravy. Comes with a side of hash browns, and, of course, two big fluffy pancakes. Coffee was good and plentiful. We were a group of five. We received excellent service with a dose of snark. I will definitely come back! When I first came here, I was very impressed that it was very busy, but was half empty as we were sitting there. I was very impressed with the service at first. Drink orders came out right away. She was very patient with us in ordering since we never been there. However, as soon as the food was given, that s when the service stopped. We only had our coffee refilled twice and once the food was served, we didn t see our waitress except in passing. Our coffee cups were empty half of the time we were there. The most insulting was when my wife needed boxes. With this place you have to go to the register to pay for the check. Since we couldn t get our boxes, I went to the register to ask. As soon as I went to register, without saying a word, the cashier immediately started putting in our check in the register. After that the original cashier left as soon as she told me the total and had another server take over as I was trying to ask for the boxes. What made me mad was when they gave me the boxes and I had to leave the line, there were 2 others that were behind me. As soon as I was coming back to the register, at least one of the other customers gave me dirty looks for leaving the line. We will not be coming back especially when I saw two other servers standing around the register and was not willing to as least on us. Lastly, even though the food was great, and came out fast, what was really disappointing was that the menu said that substitutions were an extra charge. My wife replaced her hash browns with toast and was charged $1.50 for the substitution with we took as excessive.

We decided to try this place based on the reviews. I m not sure if we came on an off day but it was mediocre at best. Maybe we didn t order what other reviewers are raving about. We eat out quite often so I couldn t understand what the hype. My husband s food came out at least 10 min before mine. He was trying to eat slow to wait for me. It was not acknowledged by our sever that my food wasn t out yet or how long it was going to take.I asked for Decaf, they didn t have any ready so I waited a while before the server brought it. Once it came it had coffee grounds floating all over the top. Not sure how she didn t see it. I didn t want to wait for them to brew more so I opted for regular. The coffee was pretty good. Once my omelette came, it was way undercooked and falling apart. It didn t look appetizing at all. My husband s hash browns were mushy and didn t taste fresh. I liked my toasted English muffin. Service was friendly enough. Price is reasonable if you re ordering specials but not regular items. We definitely won t be back. We will stick to Cindi s, Judy s or First Watch

Came for the reviews and now I believe the hype. The service is great, fast and friendly. The food is delicious. I got the sausage link, scrambled eggs and banana nut pancakes. The hash browns were seasoned (unlike some other places) The decaf coffee actually tasted like there was no caffeine (which is why I asked for decaf) The entire place is more like a diner in a strip center next to a gas station. So it wasn t that big, maybe 15 ish tables. But it was very cozy and felt welcoming. Nothing cramped about it at all. Nice spot in Richardson to get some actually good tasting food that is worth the price. Plus the prices are VERY reasonable. This place is very comparable to the overrated breakfast/brunch places that are out there.

Decent breakfast place in Richardson with really affordable prices. I came in with my two children and was seated immediately but waited a while for menus and drinks. I decided on the pork chop breakfast combo and although it was a great price, the pork chop was very over cooked and dry and the hashbrowns were almost inedible because of how crunchy they were. Eggs and bacon were cooked to perfection and my son enjoyed his pancake and bacon kids combo but it came out almost 10 minutes before mine did which meant my son was done eating way before I even got started. I d probably come back but take it to go as this place is small and gets very crowded, even on weekday mornings! Parking also hard to find during morning hours.

It is an excellent place and the cashier lady who sent me and all the staff were very friendly and spoke Spanish and the food was very delicious. I was delighted. I hope to go soon, first of all God .

Fantastic food! This is not a fine dining establishment. This place has the feel of a hole in the wall cafe in a town the name of which you cannot recall. But you remember the diner very well. I ordered the patty melt (no onions & no 1000 island dressing) and my daughter ordered beef quesadillas. Received both as ordered they were delicious. The service is reminiscent of that small town cafe. Too few people doing too many things keeps them busy. They may not be quick to refill your glass but are immediately responsive to your requests. Temper your expectations. If you need superior service this is not the place for you. If you want a diner where informality is paired with fantastic food, you will not be disappointed. I plan on going again soon,

The food was amazing. They had a good breakfast deal. You could choose 3 items from a pretty long list for $6-$7. The atmosphere was great. There werent many places to sit so we tried to hurry and get out so the many people coming in had a place to eat

The service staff and food is awesome. I cant express how delicious my meal was I got the Philly cheese steak burger and fries and have mercy I almost hurt myself eating it was that good. The staff is friendly and helpful. They warn you if the table will be cold because its by the door. They offer your soda in a to-go cup. The best is, breakfast and lunch is served all day. The pricing is very affordable with generous portions.

What an amazing place and the staff is on point. My wife and I discovered this place a year ago and try to go every weekend, the good thing is that breakfast is till past noon on the weekends. Highly recommend if your looking for a good home cooked meal.
