Had great lunch today, no waiting and food came out fast. Really delicious gumbo (rivals homemade!) Also tried the grilled shrimp salad. The shrimp were good size and generous portion. Grilled just till tender with excellent flavor. And not expensive for what was presented.

We have been eating seafood at Sea Ranch for the better part of a decade and have never been disappointed. The crawfish have always been fresh, tasty, and the size has been really good. We have eaten cooked and bought live to cook ourselves. The other seafood, cracklings, and Boudain are always a crowd pleaser. The wait so sff have always been friendly and prompt with our orders.

Sea ranch is a great family restaurant!! Great food, but the fish was not cooked long enough. I was really disappointed. I cant afford to go out to eat, and my beautiful aunt offered to take me out for lunch. I threw the fish away without telling any one, for fear of embarrassing my sweet little aunt. I have always been satisfied, until 40.00, now.

My family was looking for crawfish, and I heard about Sea Ranch Cafe. We pulled up, and you could tell from the outside that this is one of those places all the locals visit regularly. When we walked in, we were greeted by a nice young lady at the counter who was helpful for us ordering there for the first time. Then we chose a table and filled our drinks. Our food was delivered to our table fairly quickly. Everything was perfect. The inside decor made me feel like I was eating at a seafood restaurant right on the beach. When we finished, there were no signs saying to do so, but we noticed everyone clearing off their own table. We followed suit and dumped our trash and stacked the trays.

I was craving a good homemade burger from a local place, so I stopped for lunch one day and was pleasantly surprised. The burgers here taste just like the burgers we used to have from a little local store from where Im originally from. It was edible. Plus, it was already paid for! Just the facts: they do have a good shrimp batter, but the shrimp itself was too greasy. Maybe strain your fried shrimp for a little longer, or put them on a pile of paper towels to soak up some extra grease. Got the sweet potato fries, which still had a relatively okay taste, despite the fact that they were overcooked, black along the edges and dry. I did not even try the hush puppies, to be honest.. because they looked overcooked and super greasy as well. Nice, friendly staff though.

The menu says gumbo... farthest thing from gumbo Ive ever had. I ordered shrimp gumbo. It was seriously the small frozen shrimps floating in broth. Not one vegetable in the gumbo. It was extremely disappointing. They then gave me chicken and shrimp to try. Again no flavor with not one vegetable inside it. it was just a watery broth with 2 meats. They ended up giving me some fish and shrimp and the breading was soggy. No flavor. very disappointing experience.

Clean comfortable tables. The food was very good. Service with a smile. The secret sauce was wonderful. The shrimp poboy was delicious. Great fried catfish . The french fries and onion rings were very good as well. Oysters fried right with just the right amount of seasoning.Even the salad was above par . They really load your plate with food here. Terrible food. This isnt what I thought it would be. Its bland microwavable dishes. The staff seems to forget a lot on how you would like your meal to be. Ive eaten here 3 times to be fare before I gave this review I understand there is always off days but 3 times Ive been let down. This is southeast Texas we dont have to fry everything or order it from a food vendor. It lacks creativity with dishes it offers fried food or under seared fish watery green beans and self serve drink station lazy smh. Needs a facelift and re launch of menus. And it wouldnt hurt to clean out the ketchup bottles they were rancid and high viniger.
