My wife and I love this place. Another one of our go to date night spots. The staff treats you like an old friend. They are very talented when it comes to making drinks. We love it being outdoors even when its cold out its so nice. They have fires or heaters for cold nights.

Deafening music. Impossible to enjoy your time here. EDIT: in response to the owners response from below, there was nothing wrong with the music itself. The musicians were wonderful! Unfortunately the sound crew ruined the good music by operating the sound system incorrectly, making it impossible to have conversations and enjoy the music and ambiance! If they think louder is better, they dont know what theyre doing!

Gruene Grove never disappoints, the atmosphere is laid back and relaxing especially on a Sunday night, being local has made that even more enjoyable! We absolutely love the speak easy concept down stairs, but always love visiting the front bar for our old fashions! Staff is always prompt and efficient with service!

We really enjoyed this outdoor venue , shade provided by pecan trees,Wine barrels to set ur drinks on for standing areas, A few tables & chairs- seems you can bring ur own chairs, few picnic tables, fans, fire pits,outdoor stage, gr8 Live music, dancing area in front of the stage, 2 outdoor bars- no wait staff-fast service, great cocktails,beer & wine, Diverse friendly crowd-of all ages,dog friendly , No wheelchair access, Didnt get to go to Goodwins Speakeasy-hidden below by the side of the Gruene Grove bar, didnt try Rheas ice cream or The Wurst in Gruene food truck,but Ill check it out next time! If you re looking for a relaxing place to listen to live music, this is the place. It is an outdoor venue so be prepared for the weather. When it is cooler out, they have fires going so it s not a problem. They don t serve food but there is a food truck that has items available. I havent tried that yet so can t review the food. The bar is well stocked, but they do not have table service so you do need to go to the bar for drinks. A great spot in Gruene TX.

Husband, myself and our daughter discovered this adorable venue this past Sunday and cannot say enough great things about it. They had live music (The Prairie Rattlers) playing, the coolest little rockabilly band. There are multiple bars scattered around the Grove and the one we had a tab at had amazing service. The lovely staff would see me in line, remembered my tables drinks and had em ready in seconds everytime I went up there. I started with a bloody mary which was SO FRIGGIN GREAT! My daughter had lemonade which was awesome too! Their food truck that is onsite is great as well, pretzel bun with the brat was great! Highly Recommend.

We went here for some drinks after we ate at another restaurant. The back patio area is very open, with plenty of tables along with some firepits. There was a band playing, lots of familys there, and even some dogs came out! The service was great, we never had to wait long for drinks. You can also go to where they sell Ive cream, which we did get. It was a pleasant cool down in the extremely hot weather. The location is perfect if youre in Gruene, its centrally located right next to Gruene Hall. Parking: Theres a huge lot where everyone parks, there must be over 1,000 spots. Theres also street parking, but its more limited. Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids and even dogs. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, the entire city is wheelchair accessible.

Tried out the Gurene Grove today for lunch. What a great little place. Loved the lit fire pits, live music, two places to get drinks, and a little place for food. We decided to have the German brat and Italian sausage on pretzel buns. The Italian was good, but the German braut was fantastic! The braut with the mustard and kraut was something to come back for! Would have loved for the buns to be warm. It would have added to the taste but was still good. This is a good place to stop while exploring Gurene.

We love bringing our pup out places and enjoy coming to the grove for good music, drinks, and to meet new friends. I was especially impressed with one of the bartenders (I m so sorry for forgetting your name) who primarily works in the back bar. He once saw that our dog, Fischer, was getting hot and panting that he went and got an air conditioning unit that usually is placed behind the bar counter towards Fischer. We tipped him extra for taking care of our pup and will tell everyone about our experience. much love from the McLaughlin family

Wonderful little spot with a great atmosphere and vibe. Very kid and dog friendly! A bratwurst wagon, old tyme ice cream parlor, and a Speak easy located in the basement!!! This place packs a punch and you wont soon forget it. Toss so bags out back, very short wait time for drinks and this is the spot. What a wonderful relaxing place for live music in the wonderful town of Gruene. We went here to listen to a Jazz band a couple of months ago and it was so much fun! So happy to find this hidden gem of a place. The stage is surrounded by small tables. Its very casual and you can order drinks. They also have a gourmet ice cream shop around the corner so we treated ourselves to some of the most delicious ice cream with the most unusual but most amazing flavors. Would love to go back again to hear more bands and walk around this quaint but amazing town of Gruene.

My wife and I just had the most amazing service from Lauren B. She was waiting the bar as well as about six other customers. Talk about someone who anticipated every one of our needs.
