The rooms were decent as far as cleanliness but the ventilation in the room was terrible. It felt muggy, damp, and had an unpleasant smell throughout the room, hotel, as well as our clothes. Now that I think about it, the smell was mold as I did notice mold on the ceiling hallway on the 3rd floor. Definitely wasn t my first choice as all the hotels were sold out from the Beryl storm. With all the 5 star reviews I expected rooms to be more updated, etc.

Stayed here after hurricane Beryl. Although there were some bumps in the stay (bathroom door didn t quite close, A/C units had to be removed from the rooms for cleaning, etc.) the staff has been more than helpful in assisting us to the best of their abilities. Especially Anup! He is one of the best front desk assistants I ve seen, always had a smile and an understanding attitude!

STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK The hotel is under remodeling and smells of MOLD - all my clothes had a nasty smell - see pictures - appliances are subpar - my fridge kept leaking water on all my food - freezer was good Ok with that said - Anuo and the other employees here are great - need a little more training on where things are at and how operations work but they are great - Management is scarce and when you ask an employee to get the manager they refuse and say they are scared - weird as hell but it s what was told to me - If you stay weekly they try to steal your money by changing the policy when you check out and change you to a daily rate - If you NEED to stay there to save a little money it will work - they did give me a decent rate but I got that from calling Choice rewards directly and from the front desk employees Rooms: Smell musty - like water entered the rooms - mold on hall ceiling tiles - low water pressure - beds are comfortable - nice size television and a decent kitchen set up Nearby activities: The mall is very close - super Walmart- and many other shopping areas very close to the hotel Safety: Property is lit up great - with cameras everywhere - Walkability: Can walk about anywhere to do anything - Food and drinks: Many restaurants in the area and within walking distance

I had to lower my review to 1 star. I needed to extend the room for one night but instead of extending at the current rate. They told me the rate went up almost $40 and that they had already put in the reservation. So I couldnt cancel it or they would charge me a fee. Thats all that when I checked online. The room was available for the same rate (actually less) it was currently at. When I asked why he didnt just tell me to rebook online, I was informed that management doesnt allow them to. At the very least, you cant trust them.

I stayed a month in this hotel on a business and the experience was great! Front desk staff were very cordial and promply responsive to needs. For the price it offers, this is nice place to stay if you are visiting Port Arthur. They try as much as possible to make your stay comfortable and memorable.

Just checked out of the #MainStayHotel, I must say that while my stay there for the last several months on business trips that it exceeded all my expectations! This is a great place to stay. We travel all over spending most of the year in hotels. None are perfect. These people always try to accommodate and we have odd requests especially when it comes to checking in. Great staff up front and housekeeping. I get 4 to 5 rooms at each visit. Its always to same. Quite, clean rooms. overall, Im very happy. Well keep coming back. Rooms: Clean and very comfortable. Very nice kitchen. Nearby activities: I dont know much about activities since I spend most of my time in the area working, sleeping and eating. I wouldnt stay anywhere that caused me a problem with any of the three. Safety: Very safe. Weve stay here many time. Never a worry. Walkability: Everything is close by. Easy, nice and safe walk. Food and drinks: Really good places to eat and drink close by. Noteworthy details: Just good people trying to make a living offering a good value. Its not a Hilton nor do they charge like a Hilton. You wont be disappointed.

10 minutes of the refinery. Clean rooms, Absolutely excellent customer service. If you re second guessing staying at the Main stay suites don t. This was probably one of my best experiences staying in a hotel, and I have never felt so accommodated before. I simply cannot rant enough about how good of an experience this was. Absolutely appreciative of the staff, and had a truly wonderful experience. I will definitely be staying here again. Rooms: The rooms was very nice and clean!

They made a mistake on my booking date and by the time they told me the hotel was already booked up. I was forced to find another room last minute. I had already unpacked my things after being there a week. I had to pack everything again, put it in my car, transport to a new hotel and car it up to another room at the last min. Because I am relocating from another state... it was A LOT.

We checked in, brought our luggage to the room, then left to go visit family. We returned around 10 pm, got into our night clothes, and pulled the covers back for bed only to see very dirty sheets. We then noticed how dirty the curtain was which is right beside the bed, and the dirtiness at the base of the ac which is also right beside the bed. We called and requested new sheets and were told we had to go down to get them because staff wouldn t bring them up, they said house keeping wasn t there right then. This hotel is very dated compared to others in the area. Definitely would not recommend and will not be staying here again. There are better stays in the same area around the same cost. Rooms: Dirty and very dated.

I really want to give no stars The staff working on June 17th around 3:00, knew we was checking in for a birthday party. When the guest started showing up and headed to the room. They staff called the room and started harassing us about everyone who showed up. Then when we asked for more towels for the shower, they decided we had our limit and told us no, even tho it was the first time asking.. but was giving out towels to the other guests. The best part is when you rent a room you get to use the pool, gym and laundry room. We were told we couldnt use the pool. Even though people were in it, we took a dip anyway, why BECAUSE WE PAID FOR THAT RIGHT. All in all we had problems for having a biracial family, there is no one who can make us feel differently. This was the worst experience my family and I have ever experienced with hotel management!

This hotel is really great! I loved how the room was so spacious it almost felt like a mini apartment! The room had a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, stove, microwave, and refrigerator, which saved us a ton on eating out. The beds were nice and soft and the shower was big. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Overall this was a great experience and we are sure to come back to this hotel next time were in the area.

They charged me 120.00 for leaving 1 week early. Im calling corporate on Monday because the front desk help was useless. my friend had his card charged for 1500.00 and had to go though the bs to get his money back. Dead cockrouchs in the room. never again. stay away from here. Heres the charge. This is fraud and I will report it if not refunded.

The front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There was also a housekeeper that would faithfully come by to see if I needed anything, she was the sweetest. The only thing I would mention is that breakfast wasnt always timely. Rooms: The rooms were fully equipped with everything that you need. It was really like a tiny apartment. The kitchen was stopped with all utensils and cookware. Walkability: This is a very convenient location because there are restaurants right in the area and several other hotels nearby. It is well lit for security purposes.

We had issues with the ac going out in the middle of the night. No one came fix the problem till the next day mid morning. The next night it went out again. So me and my kids slept in a hot room for 2 nights. They should have discounted my stay. Management wasnt coming in till second shift after check out Noone call me to address the situation. The pool is great but the workers and the front desk clerk very rude they have the housekeepers that dont understand no English I was put out because my refrigerator had broke and I lost my food and I asked them about replacing it and also I asked him about changing the sheets on my bed and they said I complain too much so I had to call corporate I wouldnt recommend nobody to stay there and as I was staying there pest control came for bed bugs and only sprayed one room I saw my son had a big cockroach on his face when he woke up in the morning and I reported that to the room so they assume that I complained too much about the room and there was a suite and it was room 102 I had been there for 3 days but never ever again in life will I ever return to that hotel and I dont recommend nobody else returning there

First room they gave us stank of ammonia. They gave us another room no problem. But how did the staff not notice? It was bad. Wifi does not work even by the front desk. The free breakfast was ok but there was an inch of water in the eggs. Didnt try them. Maintenance is badly needed. Our toilet seat was about to fall off so I screwed it back on.The baggage carts handles are about to fall off had to screw the handle back on to get our stuff to our room.fan does not work above the stove. Staff has been great though.

This was absolutely the worst experience at a hotel that Ive ever had. The service was awful. The woman at the front desk was rude, the room was literally the worst Ive seen. The smell when you walk into the room about knocks you down. The smell of mold and mildew immediately gave me a headache and caused breathing problems. The refrigerator and microwave were rusty and had hair in them We went down to the desk and asked for another room and explained the situation. The clerk instantly got an attitude and told us no. We went and found another room elsewhere and tried to check out. She said she would take 3 days worth of charges off but that we would be paying for that first night. We werent in there 5 whole minutes. We asked for the name of the manager and she refused to give us a name. She said that if we had a problem, that we can talk to her. We told her we tried to talk to her but we werent getting anywhere, so we wanted to speak to a manager. She informed us that the manager doesnt like to talk to people and would get mad. Then proceeded to tell us...if you think youre going to talk to the manager to get a refund, its not happening I do not recommend this place. Its definitely a health hazard.

This was a decent little hotel experience. The rooms were a little aged, but clean. The kitchen area was set for two people, which was all we needed for the one night we were there. I think my only complaint would be, we explicitly made sure that this place serve breakfast in the morning so we would not have to leave, and we were assured they do. However this morning when we went down for breakfast, we were told the breakfast girl called in sick. So hence no breakfast. There was yogurt and fruit available. I wish they would have at least put out a loaf of bread so I could have made some toast to go with the yogurt. The coffee was good and plentiful though so that was at least a plus.

Very tiny rooms. They complain about getting into the rooms when they provide no storage space for things. They dont even have a dresser for clothes! How is this possibly an extended stay hotel???

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I found hair in the shower, the floor had food on it, and I found a GIGANTIC cockroach behind the couch. I left immediately. Did not even finish my stay here. Never coming back!!!

I stayed here from 4/23-4/26. Immediately after checking in I discovered the elevators were broken and would be fir my entire stay! I was on the third floor! Had I known this upfront I wouldn t have stayed. The front desk personnel were rude and nonchalant about my issues. The suite was ok except for the fact that the second bed was literally sitting on top of the air conditioner. The pool and hot tub were both green and unusable. Housekeeping was subpar to say the least, and even barged in twice without knocking. The breakfast was just ok. The sausage was more soybean than pork and the coffee was weak. This by far was one of the worst experiences. Upon checkout the lady asked how was my stay and I responded terrible, to which she responded oh ok have a nice day! Welp needless to say I won t be returning here ever again.

This a Great Clean Hotel you feel welcome from the door, Ms. Alicia and her staff have done a awesome job accommodating myself and some other Hotard Drivers that are here working on a weekly basis, Great Breakfast and the Cozy Rooms are Awesome it s like you are at Home!!! We will be using Mainstay Suites for now on!! Thanks Again

although the pricing is good, my room had a fridge that was rusted out, why would I put food in there, im mean rust all around it, the cleanliness of the room needs work. I would stay there again because the rates are good and I like the set up, they served breakfast and the internet was good, but needs to take care of there rooms furniture.

After staying at at super 8 in Beaumont TX, this place blows them away, everything is super clean, staff is really nice and not having homeless people and wild people that party 24/7 out in the hall all night is a plus...I would recommend anyone to stay here

I travel with work for months at a time. This hotel was clean. Houskeeping really did an amazing job at cleaning my room. The hotel staff were super friendly. They offer real breakfast in the mornings. They have a grill poolside which was convenient because my boyfriend loves to grill. Any issue I had was quickly resolved. I had a King suite. It was like a small 1 br apartment and very spacious and comfortable. It also had pleanty of amenities of home. I bring some of my own appliances because I prefer to cook. I loved this hotel. I would absolutely stay again.

There for 3 weeks while husband was working. Everything was nice and clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Our a/c started leaking while there and they sent maintenance up right away to fix it. Overall, a very nice stay. Would definitely stay there again.
