This is a fun experience for my 3 year old toddler and a suitable indoor playdate option for when it is 100 outside, but as an adult, there are several things that irk me. It is understaffed and many of the machines/activities are not working, so lines are longer than necessary (although it has never been ridiculously busy when Ive gone). Also, several activities that look fun for kids are extra paid activities, like skee ball and a gemstone/gold dig fixture. Highly recommend a membership since it pays for itself in 2 visits. On average, we spend about 2 hours there each time. They say no outside food (and sell their own), but our daughter has food allergies and they didnt give us any trouble.

The location in the mall is like a dungeon. There was no circulation and very hot. We probably didn t go on a good day but it was for a birthday party.- Long lines. Unfortunately 1 & 2 year olds don t know how to wait patiently for that long. (The lines for the activities. We didn t hardly have a wait at all to enter from the entrance)

They have added some new activities that my 5 and 3 year old loved. My HUGE issue is the $34.99 cost for parent/guardian and why I wont go back. I can understand a small charge but when adults arent doing any of the activities and only there to help kids, they shouldnt be charged a full price admission.

We absolutely love bringing our kids here, especially during the weekday when its quieter, and no school field trips. You can call ahead to see if theres any on the schedule for the day because it can get really crowded with longer wait times. Otherwise, the staff is friendly and they are always working to maintain a clean environment. WE LOVE IT!

This place had some cute activities for kids to participate in. However, the concessions were ridiculously priced. They also didn t clean the bathrooms which should be a priority considering the amount of children at this location. There were feces in the toilet, an overflowing trash can, and nasty finger swipes of who knows what all over the place. The nastiness caused us to leave sooner than we expected and chased us away indefinitely.

My youngest child is lvl 3 non verbal autistic. We decided to try Sensory Sunday. She had fun but what wasnt fun was the other parents judging us on how she behaved. Again, its supposed to be sensory Sunday but it really seemed like any other time you would have gone. Maybe on sensory Sunday inform the guest that its sensory Sunday and maybe a little education on what it means. I or my family shouldnt be getting disgusted looks from parents who dont quite understand. Thank you

I love this place, probably more than the kids, haha. Theres so much to do! You can make your own crayon, or take home some modeling clay. Every visit you can get a little creature that you can color on and take home, you can customize and melt crayons into different shapes or watch the crayons melt and spin into a design. Theres a huge playground area for bigger kids and a smaller area for toddlers. My kids would totally go just to go on that playground, they love it so much. You can sit and color with crayons or watercolors. I believe its only $40 to get a year pass. Highly recommend!!

$25 per person is expensive, but the annual pass is an absolutely amazing deal. The attractions are generally pretty simple but perfect for our 2 yr old daughter who has fun getting to go to a different play space with a lot of options to color and create. We go roughly once a month for 1-2 hours. Parents also get tokens so it means more stuff for the kids. Also, you get deals on Crayola stuff in the store which is a no brainer. You will end up buying crayons so watching for deals your kids will like is very convenient.

My wife, son and I have a yearly membership here. We love this place. Its a great place to kill an hour or so of time. The staff is always friendly. They rotate some of their exhibits every few months, so it keeps it fresh. We love the air clay that they give us. Also, it is located inside a mall. The mall has covered parking and you can easily walk right into the mall without worrying about the weather/elements. My only gripe is that the food is way overpriced. However, we will continue to be members and we will be back!

I would recommend coming in the afternoon after the camp and school groups have left for the day. Especially if you have younger children. They possibly won t have to deal with the 6 foot twelve year olds on the 5-12 year old playground. While the chaperones of the groups are sitting at the coloring table coloring pictures while the kids run wild.

Took my 4 year old for the first time and wasnt quite sure what to expect going in. Its mostly a huge big open space that is sectioned out with different activities which is not what I was picturing when hearing about Crayola Experience initially. Not that this is a bad thing, its actually good that its so open with free range because your kiddo can go back to their favorite activities and do them over and over (unless tokens are needed). You enter with a bag and a couple of tokens and a coupon. You need tokens to make a label for your personalized crayon and one for a packet of their play-doh. The coupon is used for a washable marker figurine. You get tokens and the coupon as an adult guest as well! Station activities that do not require tokens included are drip art, selfie station, print a coloring page with you in the picture, coloring pages with tons of crayons, a station to build clay art, painting station, make a crayon mold (ours was a race car), a chalk art area, playgrounds and more. There are two food stations that offer snack style food and drinks - the bigger one has quite a large table/chairs area. We found the place as a whole to be clean and user friendly. My son loved it, I would say he spent the longest amounts of time on the playground and chalk art areas. There are plenty of places for parents to sit and keep an eye on their kiddo, especially on a slower day like when we went. Overall a great way to spend a day inside out of the Texas heat!

This was unexpectedly one of the neatest attractions weve ever taken the kids to. There is so much to do in this place. We stayed for 4 hours and still didnt get to do every activity. We went on a Saturday and it wasnt crowded at all. We have a 3 yr old and 10 yr old and they both had so much fun. Even my husband and I had a great time. We paid $25 a ticked and was well worth it. The theater plays shows throughout the day. I guess there is a staffing shortage and some of the shows are recordings on a t.v. They did 2 live shows while we were there. They will announce if the shows are live. I would only go if they are live. I wouldnt waste my time watching it on a t.v. screen. I can do that at home. The live show was really neat and we enjoyed it a lot. I would suggest eating before you go. There were not a lot of options in the Cafe. The retail store was also really cool. My only suggestion for this place would be to service the machines a bit more regular. There were several machines that didnt work properly, however, they refunded our tokens without any issues. Again, we will be going again with my 3 year old in the next few years. So much fun.

NEVER BOOK A PARTY HERE We booked Crayola for our Daughter s birthday. As per the package there is supposed to a person dedicated for 1 hour for helping with cake/ food and pizza and give it to kids. the lady assigned to us kept disappearing and while we had guests we kept running out to call her back again and again . When she finally came to help, she didn t even know how to cut a cake. One of our guests cut it and asked her to distribute. Then she kept missing children. One child actually cried because she didn t get pizza as this server decided to walk out mid serving for something. After a while my guests started helping themselves . Eventually we called the manager and by then we realised they had missed one pizza so they went back to make it . It was an embarrassing experience as a host and I would never recommend this place for a party The facility is good so that was the saving grace but don t fix this as venue for anything.

We hosted our kid s birthday party in Crayola, Plano Tx. The facility is fabulous and the kids love it, but service here is poor (very poor). The service staff was not interested in working at all, we had to find her every-time we needed any help. we had to escalated to the front office manager (she was clueless too). They served less pizza than we ordered ( ordered 4 they served only 3), when we confronted - the whole team was sulking about to making the another one. Crayola is a good faculty, it will attract first time customers but I doubt it ll get repeat customers because of the poor service.

Lots of fun for little ones, enough to keep them creative and excited for two or three hours. A tad pricey. Especially the food. Unfortunately, it doesnt change much from month to month or even year to year really. They have the space to do so much more with different themes, events, live characters and the like. If you go the annual pass route, it gets a little repetitive. Really like the place, just trying to motivate the management to add a touch of veriety.

We really enjoyed our trip here! We came on a rainy day last week during our vacation when our outdoor plans were cancelled. Our two daughters, 7 & 5, absolutely LOVED everything. Naming their own crayon, getting and playing with their own magic clay, being part of and creating their own coloring pages, the silly face station, the melt a crayon down activities-make a shape and the crayon art, the scribble scrubbies station, the painting station with the giant picture dryer (I even tried this out, it s awesome), the virtual runway/car design, the crayon movie and the jungle gym! It was all so much fun! We spent 3.5 hours there and could have spent longer there if we hadn t been super hungry. The restaurant was closed during the day on Wednesday but their treat shop was open. More tokens to make extra crayons or buy more clay is are only $0.50/token which is really affordable! The only thing we didn t love is that we came at about 11am on a Wednesday morning and so did about 100 other kids on field trips. It was very very busy at the beginning of our visit. We waited in long lines for things or skipped some things depending on what the field trip kids were doing. When we left about 2:30pm, it was SO much quieter and much more enjoyable! We were able to do everything we hadn t done before when it was busy. Overall, we are so happy we made the choice to come. It made a lasting impression on our artsy daughters!

Both a positive and negative is that its dimly lit. Great for people with visual sensory issues, but also if youre trying to colour at their colouring stations, it can be a little hard to see what youre doing. Definitely recommend getting the annual pass, absolutely worth the price, and Ive made the money back just in the 20% off I get from gift shop purchases. Not to mention you get your moneys worth in 2 visits.

We so enjoyed our visit to Crayola Experience! Its been a long time since my last visit, and I was surprised at how much they had to offer. There are different stations where you can exchange tokens for a crayon where you can customize the name, and then theres a rolling station where you can wrap your crayon with the custom label. There is a vending machine where you can exchange tokens for modeling clay, and there are giant tables where you can color and create with your clay and tools. There is also a spot where you can take pictures and print your face on coloring sheets. The bathrooms were clean, the playgrounds were fun (and the toddler town playground was the perfect size for my 21 month old). There was SO MUCH to do. Also, pro tip- if you are a TEACHER you can bring your school ID and drivers license and get a free annual pass! If you have littles I think this could be a fun family outing for you.

Great experience for the kids. The place needs a bit of touch up and fixes though. Seems dated with out of order activities and limited service. (Live theater show was basically a recorded show on TV)

Went for a pre-K field trip. Kids had a blast. You sort of have to figure out how things work on your own. Just a heads up there s a crayon label application station to the left of the label printer. Otherwise it was fun for the kids. We stayed 3 hrs could have easily stayed 4-5. Good experience for the cost

Great family experience!! Several different stations to stop at and experience so plan enough time to stop at all of them. Also there are play areas for the kids to wear themselves out. Buy tickets in advance this will save you time!!!!

Amazing experience. We did the Spring Break rounds and hit up all of the kid places on a very busy, crowded time, which in hindsight wasnt the best decision. However of all of the places we went, this was the best experience. We took advantage of the discount for arriving 2 hours prior to close, and wished wed had more time. It was busy but there was so much to do. There were so many ways for your kid to sit and be creative or run around in the playground. The bathroom also wasnt as dirty as the other places we visited during Break. The movie could have been better, it had a neat set up but then played a video on a small TV. In the interest of time we moved on without watching it all.

We went this weekend with kids ages 2-11. Definitely plan to spend a few hours as there is a lot to do. We loved all of the different experiences set up. We went on a Sunday afternoon and never had to wait for more than a few minutes in line. The kids all asked to come back!

Over all was good. Not great. If you want to go make sure you give enough time for when you are there. The snack area says they sell pizza but they told me that if the kitchen is closed then they don t. It should not be listed on the board if you are not able to sell at anytime.

Really cool place plagued by understaffing. Wait 20 minutes in line for the Snack Shack. Get to counter. Order hot dog (which is listed on the menu for 4.99). Get told they don t serve hot dogs there, I need to go to the Crayola Cafe. Another 15 minute wait. I never saw a single station staffed with more than 1 person, including the entry with a line of 40+ people to get in. Every employee looked miserable to be there. And I get it, jobs like this - on your feet all day, screaming kids - it s gotta be stressful. But Crayola or whoever runs this needs to figure it out. The stations are fun. My kid had a blast, but there s a lot of wasted potential with the lack of proper staffing. If you come on a non weekend or school break day, I bet you ll have an entirely different experience.

Definitely a great experience for the kids took my daughter this week for spring break & it was pretty full but so many activities that is was ok . The like for food & drinks was pretty long . The cashier brook wasn t any help about the drink sizes and did ask if I need anything els just was looking at me as I should know the menu. She just kept saying is that it ? Then I took to long to take my receipt out of her hand so she shoved it into mine. I understand everyone has a bad day but this was very inappropriate of her to do . Other than that the place is wonderful!

The food concessions need a re-work. Id usually do not post low reviews, but this time, it merits 1 star. Snack Shack popcorn is $10.99 with long lines and allows $0.99 refills, but you have to get in line for 20 minutes again, right after you spent 25 min on the same line to get your food items in the first place.
