This is one of our favorite spots! Beautiful dining experience and INCREDIBLE food! The lobster rolls are a must, but also love the salmon! The salmon has this buttery, citrusy sauce that is sooooo yummy. We also had the baked goat cheese (my personal fav), calamari, and crab fingers for appetizers. Charles waited on us and was so kind! We had a deaf friend eating with us and Charles was very accommodating. We never leave Urban Seafood disappointed, just full of delicious food and happy!

Always look at the daily specials. This includes fresh ingredients. Ask the servers what they recommend. Ask for best pairing for food with drink. Service here is top notch and they have great opinions. And...if you have the calories...the Baked Alaskan dessert is the best dessert I have ever had. Enjoy!!!

The food was great. The dining area is very nice. The service was terse and annoyed. When I sat down I asked about the lunch menu listed online. It seems the server made the assumption that this would be a low tip table. Their attitude changed, face turned tight and they said they wanted to drop off a check at another table. They did so and then went back to the kitchen for 6 minutes. They eventually came back, took my order, and then did the bare minimum while making her annoyance plain. Im sorry because the food was amazing.

The food was poorly prepared. Steaks not charred, but actually burnt, as well as over cooked. Lobster way over cooked and rubbery. Sauces on several dishes were either bland or off tasting. People with the same order getting very different versions of the same dish. Wait staff was great with our large party and was happy to help with returned dishes, but the replacements were still not worth the premium price tag. Maybe it was a bad day, but it was a poor enough experience that I dont see myself returning.

Atmosphere is stunning. That s the end of the positive. This place doesn t hold a candle to the east coast, but it smelled amazing. We left before ordering dinner because it was so bad. Our server was ok; but she had way too many tables. She assumed we wanted glasses of wine without offering the bottle. Fine; not a big deal. Ordered the tuna dip which needed to be seasoned, fine. Until I got a giant hard bite of tuna. It tasted like it was close to the bloodline. I asked to send it back and the owner? Manager? Came over and showed me you can mash the tuna up. I am blonde so maybe I look stupid. Oysters were fine. But when we ordered our second glass of Sauvignon blanc and one came warm we decided that we were done. We just got back from Boston, and we are from Michigan. We know good seafood and fish. This place was not it. Maybe it was a bad Saturday. Idk. But we have date night about once every month and this was a massive waste of that. And it s so dang loud we couldn t even hear each other.

We had restaurant week dinner at Urban Seafood and it was the best! I started with the lobster burrata salad which was a very generous portion of fresh lobster and fresh burrata mozzarella. Delicious! The grilled redfish and shrimp was fantastic crispy grilled on the outside and very tender inside. I had the warm chocolate chip chocolate pecan tart with a scoop of vanilla ice cream .OMG! Also tried the Leo cocktail which was delicious and made with fresh blood orange juice. It was packed and noisy but lots of fun. Kind of a New Orleans vibe. Definitely the go to place for seafood. Next time I am going to checkout their impressive grill and try the crab cakes

Another wonderful date night venue and this time in downtown Plano! The venue is fairly large with a main dining area as well as an oyster bar. I loved the view to the kitchen nice touch! My date had a glass of wine and I ordered the pineapple martini. We chose the grilled octopus appetizer and for entrées we shared the seafood pasta and the Branzino! The seafood pasta had plenty of seafood: shrimp, mussels, and clams with a nice tomato-based sauce. The Branzino was perfect! Our server was pleasant, attentive and expertly deboned and filleted the fish. This was a first for me. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant.

Tuna dip was pretty good. Soft shell crab good. Chicken for our non-seafood lover was excellent. My yellowtail was great and the honey brussel sprouts lightly charred and only slightly sweet. Loved it and couldnt finish our plates, but I sure took carrot cake home anyways Parking: Small parking lot in the back of the restaraunt, more lots and spots nearby though. It wasnt very full at lunch but Im sure dinner could need more planning ahead of time of where to park.

I dont think all types of people are welcomed here. At least not by this particular employee. Disgusting. I operate a local business in the area and a client wanted a food recommendation that she could walk too. I suggested urban seafood, the loster rolls specifically. My client walked in to the restaurant and was ask what do you want? My client explained she wanted to order food. She was taken back by the curtness of the hostess ( blonde, older looking woman with a ponytail) but sat at the bar to order. The place had 2 other customers. The Hostess who apparently was also the waitress took about 5 min before she took my clients order ( which was prompted by another worker at the seafood counter). The food order cost approx $95.00 ( 3 lobster rolls and a cocktail) I was informed of the service issue and went to the restaurant 2 days later to discuss the treatment my client received business owner to business owner. Frankly Ive enjoyed the food here in the past and wanted to make sure management was aware of the type of person greeting and serving their customers. I spoke with a woman who said she was the GM. She said she would watch the cameras to identify who we were talking about and call me with an update of what she saw and a resolution. Its been 2 weeks and no response. Service will be the deal breaker in most business. I will not recommend this business or any of the other Urban food restaurants to anyone else. People should feel welcomed and comfortable when spending hard earned money and management should follow through on what they say they will do. Piss poor service interaction.

This is an excellent restaurant. High quality food, expertly prepared. We became regulars here almost immediately after they opened. I recommend the specials menu. The only down side is that you have so many good choices to choose from. For prep, I like grilled + chimichurri because its clean and I can still taste the fish. For sides, I prefer the market veggies. This may be the best veggie side in North Texas. A great date night selection with lots of memorable moments is: - whole grilled fish (like Branzino) because the debone it tableside - for dessert, get the Baked Alaska and Carajillo dessert cocktails (ask them to make it tableside; if Abraham is there, ask if he will do it) It will be memorable and delicious.

Wanted to try the fried clams but dont care for fried calamari. Asked if I could substitute something else for the calamari on the order, the waiter said no problem. I can make it all fried clams if you like. Sure. When they served the food it was half clams, half calamari (which I had to discover). I told the waiter about it and was told I turned it in as all clams but they dont do it that way. I proceeded to pick out the calamari and eat the clams eating only half my meal. We were presented the bill and noticed had an additional up-charge for all clams. The manager came over and I explained the situation. He graciously took off the bad up-charge but was not very understanding. So no communication that they could not make what I ordered, an erroneous up-charge, and paying full price for something I could only eat half of. The others in my party felt the same way. Too many other good places to eat. I will not be back.

Specializing in seafood with an array of options, the restaurant offered a diverse menu. Opting for a white wine to complement our oysters, we indulged in a platter featuring four varieties, with the Canadian variety standing out for its briny sweetness. My choice of the seafood pot, or cioppino, simmered in a tomato broth, proved to be a delightful choice, especially when paired with crusty bread for dipping. While the chowder was satisfactory, I wished for a richer, more concentrated flavor. Seared scallops emerged as another standout option, showcasing the chefs skill. As for the crab cake, while prepared in a slightly healthier manner, I personally prefer a more intense flavor profile with a hint of char.

Went here for a happy hour and dinner. Had the $1 oysters plus baked goat cheese dip and tuna dip. Tried the blackened mahi mahi with the chimichurri sauce with baked potato. Enjoyed the $6 lemon drop martini, iced tea and espresso. The baked Alaska was also delightful with strawberry and chocolate ice cream on a bed of chocolate cake. I didnt take pics of the first 3 courses since I was hungry. Special shoutout to Jaquan, our server, who was professional, attentive and gave us great tips to male our first time a special event since we were celebrating a professional highlight. i will be back for brunch.

I have been here a handful of times at this point. The oysters are always delicious and fresh. Get them on happy hour and it feels illegal lol. Some of the food, I ll be honest isn t great. It lacks flavor. Such as the lobster roll, the lobster Mac and cheese to name a few. BUT the dishes that are good makes up for it! The crab stuffed shrimp, the scallops and salmon, the Brussels are always delicious! The tuna dip is also delicious(and on happy hr). I ll continue to come here and try more dishes! Niaz is a great server as is bartender Diego! Atmosphere is calm and vibey. Love the fresh oyster and fish displays and the new dry meat fridges! Update: tried the goat cheese and it could use more flavor. Crab cakes are awesome

We had a birthday party of 24 in the enclosed patio. Service was great and we were in and out at about 2 hrs and we even had to wait on some people to order. Food was great and fresh!!! The new England clam chowder was so delicious and thick. The 1/2 dozen oysters tasted really fresh. Highly recommend. Shari had the pasta special, baked Alaska, and the amazing white chocolate bread pudding! My absolute favorite though was the seafood bloody Mary! It was like a drink and an appetizer in 1!

This is a great place and I definitely recommend it! Good standard menu selection and also have different rotating specials. I tried the swordfish special which was very good. It was advertised with mango salsa but I didnt really think I got much of it. Thats why I gave it 4 starts and also since they dont take reservations (you can sign up online for a spot on the wait list ahead of time so thats better than nothing). Also have a very nice drink selection.

Patience Tested, Palate Delighted: A Mixed Bag at Urban Seafood Company Our Friday evening (7pm) visit to Urban Seafood Company was a tale of two halves. On one hand, the food was undeniably fantastic. Each bite, from the creamy clam chowder to the perfectly blackened fish, was a testament to culinary skill and fresh ingredients. The octopus starter, though small, was a flavor explosion, and the unexpected lobster mac and cheese twist (more Alfredo than cheesy goodness) was a personal revelation for me. However, the service left much to be desired. Despite checking in online for our table, we still faced a frustrating 55-minute wait. To add insult to injury, upon arrival, we were told our table wasnt quite ready and were left waiting for an additional 30 minutes. This initial experience cast a shadow over the evening, leaving us feeling flustered and less than impressed. Thankfully, the delicious food managed to salvage the night. The old-fashioned cocktails were expertly crafted, the starters were divine, and the main courses were cooked to perfection. The blackened red fish was perfectly seasoned and cooked, and the shrimp pasta special was bursting with fresh seafood flavor. Even the unexpected mac and cheese surprise (which, admittedly, wasnt quite mac and cheese as I know it) was a delightful creamy treat. Ambiance-wise, Urban Seafood Company gets a solid 4/5 rating. The restaurant boasts different sections, offering a variety of vibes. However, a minor downside was the lack of available tables for two. We ended up sharing a long table with two other couples, which slightly affected the intimacy we were hoping for. In conclusion, Urban Seafood Company presented a mixed bag. The food was undoubtedly excellent, however, the lengthy wait times and disorganized service significantly detracted from the overall experience. The ambiance was great, but the lack of smaller tables could be an issue for couples seeking a more intimate setting. If youre willing to gamble on potentially long waits and prioritize delicious food above all else, Urban Seafood Company might be worth a try. However, for those seeking a smooth and efficient dining experience with guaranteed intimacy, you might want to manage your expectations.

I am originally from Metro Detroit area and I have been living in South Bend, IN for the last 20 years. I came to town for a bridal shower this past January and had dinner with an in town friend. We didn t know where to go but we chose Urban Seafood Company. BEST CHOICE EVER! I have been to so many restaurants and never tasted food so delicious. I have been talking about the food ever since! I had the crab cake and lobster roll. I was NOT disappointed. I am glad to have dined there and I wish I got a take out. I enjoyed my experience. Thank you!

We have been there many times nice atmosphere and exceptional service. The unfortunate thing on our last visit the Octopus was chewy and the Lobster tails were extremely small. The wedge salad was excellent. If someone would have ordered just the lobster tails for their dinner they would have still been hungry extremely small maybe 3 bites

I recommend the lobster brandy sauce! The crackers with butter are addictive. For dessert we split a Baked Alaska. Super fun and delicious! Our waitress was knowledgeable on the menu, friendly, available but not hovering - perfect. Rhe atmosphere is elegent but comfy. We enjoyed our evening and cannot wait to go back!

I usually have a great experience but today it was by far the worst. The service was extremely slow at 12pm. Plenty of servers but no one being of service. Our food was luke warm, I was very upset because I brought a friend for the first time and wanted him to have a better experience. All the servers did a lot of standing around, we waited some time to be seated because one of the servers was ringing up a customer: made eye contact with several servers and everyone just seemed aloof.

The location was in a great spot, and the atmosphere was great. Parking was also not an issue. I ordered the Lobster Roll and it was extremely greasy. The bottom of the bread was soaked in butter. They also bought a small container of more butter, which is overkill at this point. The Lobster Mac had 0 flavor. We tried to add some pepper and salt, but it did it no justice. The pasta was al dente and needed to be cooked down longer. It was happy hour, so we ordered the Smoked Tuna, which wasnt half bad, but not worth coming back for. We also got desert, the Chocolate Truffle Cheescake. It wasnt fresh of course, but there was no flavor of truffle at all. With the decor and location, this place can be better if they show more love in their foods flavor and cooking.
