I had a great experience at Best Buy in San Marcos today. Coming from closer to Austin, it was easy to find and the parking lot was clean and spacious. There were a few customers in the store, but it was not crowded. I was greeted at the front door and the employee offered to get someone to meet me in the section of the store I was headed to. On the way to the department, I ran into an employee who was super helpful and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, I did not catch his name. He provided clear and concise information about options for the product I was looking for, easily answered all of my questions, and also rang up the purchase efficiently. It was a stress-free experience all the way around and I will definitely shop at this Best Buy location in the future.

Worst Best Buy ever. Made two appointments at geek squad for a repair. First appointment was turned away because I was 5 minutes late, and they took 20 minutes to even check me in. I was ok, my fault for being late. I rescheduled. Second time I came back arrived 5 minutes earlier. Took again 20 minutes to even check me in. Takes a look at my phone and tells me they have the part. Comes and tells me I will need to leave my phone over night. I m okay with it. He then comes back out and tells me he doesn t have the part. Person was already complaining that Apple repairs take too long. Don t work somewhere you don t want to do your job at. Horrible experience and such a waste of time:

Customer service must not be a requirement to be a General Manager here. I was told to purchase my desired laptop online so that I could pick it up at the store the same day. I ordered the laptop just to be told they don t even have it in store. Wasted about an hour here just to be treated with sassiness. Seems like the younger you are the less respect you are given at this location.

Paid for a brand new TV and found out I was sold an open box and broken one. Was told to bring it in to the original location. The store manager admitted that I was supposed to receive a brand new one but was sold a broken, open box and I had proof. They did not want to take it in at all to look at it or do anything, really useless and worst customer service I received. Luckily, I had a store manager at another location resolve my issue.

I went in there yesterday to purchase 2 sets of Apple Air Pods because they were on sale. I noticed there were not many associates working the store when I walked in, which was fine given that it was a Monday at 12PM. I found the Air Pods in the back locked behind a glass display, and I saw one associate already assisting another customer in that area. I decided to look around the store for 5 minutes to see if anything else interested me but nothing did. I went back to the Apple display and did not see any associates for approximately 10 minutes. I went to the front to see a long line at checkout with 3 associates manning the registers. I went back to the display and saw another customer at the printers needing assistance. I then saw an associate come out of the back with a handheld inventory device in hand. I asked her if she could assist me when she gets a chance. She responded, I will get to you as soon as I am finished with this other person, indicating towards the customer at the printers. When she said this, it seemed as if she was annoyed at the fact that she had to help customers, but I did not let it bother me. What did bother me was that she gave the customer the printer she was looking for 10 minutes later. Then she proceeded to ignore me while standing there in the same spot where she said she would come back to help. I waited another 10 minutes, and she did not come back from the back room. I finally went to the cash registers and waited in line to ask the associates up front for assistance. There was still a long line with customers waiting to check out, but I did not mind because I had already been in the store 30 minutes longer than I anticipated. The associate who helped me was able to get the 2 Air Pods from the locked cage behind him as soon as I told him what I needed. To end things off, I wasted about 30-40 minutes waiting on someone to help me, but they ignored me with an attitude. The place was not very busy, and the few employees that were there seemed to be overwhelmed with the few folks that were in the store.

It had been a while since I had been to Best Buy. I walked in and was not greeted by the staff at the entrance like I was used to when going there. I spent about 25 minutes there. They did not have what I needed. Options for other accessories I was looking for were out of stock. I was not spoken to by a staff member once. For January 3rd, 2024 at 3:15 pm. I found a good deal on a tv so I ordered one for curbside pickup. Said it was ready within 30 minutes of me placing an order, great! I headed over, parked in a spot and hit the I m at the store button for the curbside pickup and waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. After 45 minutes or so, I figured maybe they were a little busy even though the parking lot wasn t basically empty. No problem, I changed the order pickup from Curbside to In Store. Headed inside to grab my order, saw the store was pretty much empty. Okay, maybe they re understaffed which is understandable. I headed to the order pickup counter and waited in the order pick up line. There s two separate lines for Checkout and Order pickup, and there was one person in the Checkout line. The girl helped him first since he was there first, totally fine. Then another person came after and she helped them instead. Then more people came to check out and for some reason, the girl was checking them out instead of even though I was waiting in line first. So once again, I waited. And waited. And waited. After wasting another 30 minutes of my time, another employee, Magic finally came and helped me get my order. It would make sense to help those who came in order but I guess not. Thanks for wasting an hour and a half of my time.

Ricardo worked with my wife and I to purchase a new tv. He was exceptional, very knowledgable and helpful. We initially did purchase the tv from Best Buy but had much difficulty with the Best Buy Total Protection plan delivery which had nothing to do with the store or any of the employees at the store. After several attempts to have it delivered (off site delivery group). Ricardo was gracious enough to refund our money to purchase the tv elsewhere. It was a Christmas gift from my kids to get the new tv in time for the University of Texas bowl game. We really appreciate Ricardo going above and beyond with customer service to make sure our needs were met. Thank you Ricardo!! Thank you for your leadership in selection of employees at that store which is greatly appreciated. Our only hope is that the external support (Best Buy total protection, delivery department, etc) can improve their performance to the level of this store s customer service.

I am reviewing the Geek Squad service ; not the products or any other area of Best Buy. I believe Best Buy has the perfect marketing opportunity to service the millions of customers who have money to spend and who are in need of someone to take time to do one on one training with older customers (over 50) who buy Best Buy products, who are intelligent and able to learn Yearning to learn the steps to take to accomplish a task on their devices-laptops, ipads, phones, etc. All we are missing is a How To Manual - which doesnt come with the products. I have the complete geek elite customer service package. Yet here is my experiences the last 3 visits to Geek Squad in store appts. I am only allowed 20 mins for an appt. I am greeted by a young person who 90.% of the time could have come right out of central casting from a SNL skit. They don t make eye contact as they immediately TAKE your device and start logging in, asking you for the sign in info, as you stand there feeling like you are invisible. As you interrupt them to try to explain your problem or situation, you get a smirky look from them as if to say, Yes, I know you are clueless in what you even want or need so I will tell you what you need. In order to hurry up the process, you are not offered a seat, or a personal space in order to transact your business. You lean over the bar counter top and twist your body around as much as you can so you can see your screen which has been taken-over by the employee. Your geek will be wearing a headset that they speak to randomly and you often think they are addressing you when instead they are answering a question from a co-worker. God Bless the folks that have children who they can get instruction from at home one on one. I always take a notepad and tell the geek that I would like them to go step by step so I can write down the steps - goal being to be able to do these steps at home alone. I as them not to click on my computer and navigate with out first telling me the steps. Their reply: Oh, this isn t something you need to do. Well, times up and I am asked if there is anything else? I say no, I guess not. I have been treated coldly, impersonally and I leave feeling that I had the opportunity to receive proper instructions but my needs and the geeks agenda are 2 opposite things entirely. I would gladly pay (even though I already pay the yearly fee) an additional fee for one on one instruction, in a properly set up area with partitioned desk space where a one on one devoted geek would tend to my needs for a pre paid fee. There is a goldmine out there for this service just waiting for you to arrange it for your customers. We are stuck in a time zone between the written word pre technology area and the global take over by technology, for which we are in a twilight zone scenario of being thrust into an impossible to overcome nightmare. Please rethink, reimagine and rescue all the population of millions that are in need of education but have no where to obtain it. I must give credit to one of your male employees who helped me several times. It was so refreshing and so different and appreciated - he made eye contact thru-out; smiled; seemed to WANT to help me; and acted like it was his mission to provide me the service I asked for.

I purchased two items from the store and returned them. They did not give me my full refund for the item after only having it for 8 days and the items were not opened. I ve called customer service multiple times and have even went to the store. I was told that an audit would be done for the refund and a call would be made when it was done within 48 hours. I m still waiting after 3 weeks. I continue to try and call to speak with someone, and no one is able to help. The customer service department is even worse. I ve been hung up on multiple times. Complete unprofessional.

The greeters are nice, the checkout is hit or miss. I got an email that said in store delivery was delayed, I called customer care, they said it was in the store. The person attending was very short and refused to check if it was even on the rack let alone the back. When I came in the second time the service was much better but I literally drove 60 miles to pick up my laptop so that left a sour taste in my mouth. If porch piracy wasnt a big concern for me, I would just have it delivered to my house and avoid that person at the checkout.

Magic and Mackenzie were EXTREMELY kind and helpful while I was literally crying tears about losing the backup on my new iPhone today. I thought all of the pictures on my phone from the past 10 years were gone. I was very sweetly greeted by Magic who quickly pulled in Mackenzie to help. They did everything in their power to help and were so kind in the process and I am truly grateful. Everyone in the store truly treated me with so much respect as tears were rolling down my face. Had to ask for someone to help in computer part three separate times within a 35-40 minute period of standing right next to what I needed only to find out the item was priced incorrectly by a significant margin. When I brought the issue to someone s attention on my way out, excuses were made as to the receiving s stocking mistake and that everyone was busy on the floor for that entire time. They sure charge me a lot of money for a screen protector and they couldnt even put it on right and yet they gave me a refund and the receipt says that I got a refund but it never got put back onto my car because the transaction has been completed and finalized so I just wasted almost $70. They suggested that I go to the New Braunfels one but I have to work later today so thats not possible. If they didnt charge you much for a screen protector and if there would have did their job right I wouldnt have to worry about going to another town or not getting my money back.

Understaffed!! My most recent experience shopping for a Sonos speaker involved a few trips to ask questions. My first trip was great as far as customer service but when one employee admitted to not knowing enough about the speakers I was interested in she directed me to someone else. This gentleman proceeded to provide me with false information like that Sonos speakers come with a remote and any of their speakers will work together for a sound system setup. I knew this was inaccurate with my prior research but no biggie if he didnt know I would have rather he told me that. Staff was friendly On a second trip, I received no help at all. I can understand when a place is busy and the associate may take a while to get to me but getting brushed off in a rude manner doesnt make anyone feel appreciated. I was completely ready to wait for assistance but the way he acted I just left the store. I ended up just calling Sonos and they were able to answer all my questions and help me find the best speakers for my application. I would like to give the Best Buy employee the benefit of the doubt and maybe he is frustrated at being one of what seemed to be very few actually working. Staff moral was lacking My other experiences were great.. but thats when you can actually talk with someone.

Sold us an open box Apple Watch in excellent condition. Got home to open it and charge it and the charger was covered in coffee and the watch wouldn t turn on. Had to take it to the Apple Store to get it replaced.

Brst Buy used to be one of my favorite stores to shop at! Now you walk in, and you CAN NOT find anyone to help you out with products! If you do get someone more than likely, they dont know anything about the product youre interested in purchasing? Customer service in non existing at Best Buy and its unfortunate because they carry a lot of great products, just know one to assist you with them! Its truly unfortunate how best buy has gone downhill so fast and so bad!

Was a great Best Buy, but now they are out of stock on probably half of their inventory. Lots of empty spaces, items in the wrong location (with incorrect prices), display items for many products were broken. Its like they dont care or are going out of business.
