Nice place to visit, especially as a first timer. They offered a sampler of the 4 soups available, each delicious that prompted me particularly to order the cup of gumbo. Seafood tasted fresh and great. Crab cakes had plenty of crab in it to merit the price tag. Would definitely recommend the soups over everything.

The fish and chips are amazing, if its your first time here they could give you all of their soups in sample cups to taste. You get thick fries and so much beer battered fish for $16.95 and the dynamite shrimp is a must .

Anaya s Seafood, the name says it all. I searched for a true Seafood place and I found it. Starting with the Summer flight, it was awesome. The fish Specialties, we totally enjoyed Mahi Mahi and Blackened Barramundi, oh you can only dream of great tasting fish. To wrap the evening we had an outstanding Key Lime pie. When you treat yourself to a fabulous dinner ask for Sofia to guide you through a delightful night out. Enjoy!

Anayas did a great job with my Calamari and Cod for sure! It was nice for my first time and that little soup sampler was a very good touch. The homemade tartar was just the cherry on top as well. My server was attentive and the manager Bobby even came around twice to see how things were going. The only thing that was very surprising is the extra piece of fish I ordered cost almost half of the entire fish dinner. I spoke to Bobby about it and he said he would bring it up to the others. I would definitely go back but instead of an extra piece of fish I would probably just order a second dinner.

This was our 1st experience dining at Anaya s. This was a wonderful combination of impeccable service and a delicious fusion of fish & Mexican food. Able was our server & we recommend asking for him! We started with the calamari & shrimp plus a margarita (we had them add mulled jalapeño) which added some kick to our marg. We took home the shrimp Alfredo & flan for Dessert. Great experience with reasonable prices. We will be back.

Hurricane Katrina destroyed our home, support system, and way of life in Pascagoula on the Mississippi Gulf Coast today (29 August) in 2005. Each year afterwards, my wife and I have a South Mississippi/Cajun style meal in remembrance of our former home. Today we discovered Anayas Seafood in Plano. Its been in Plano more than two years yet we were unaware of it as it is virtually unnoticeable from Park Avenue. This is a gem of an eating establishment! We had shrimp poboys in keeping with our remembrance meal--my wifes shrimp were fried and mine were grilled. We really enjoyed these sandwiches. Shrimp were combined with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, red onions and remoulade sauce on a perfectly soft bun. My wifes salad and my coleslaw were both flavorful and much elevated from the usual fare. Were both working to cut carbs but not today! We happily splurged with a piece of their key lime pie--a wonderful, incredibly tasty, and perfect way to conclude todays meal. Anayas has a full-service bar, ample parking, and a cordial atmosphere. Their wait staff are all outgoing, friendly, and attentive. Well be back next week!

New to the area, so it was our first time here 8/24. Husband was craving Cajun/seafood and we did a google search. Place did not disappoint music was fun and lively, food was great. They gave us a mini soup sampler and let me tell you clam chowder was so good as well as the crab bisque! Currently pregnant so I couldn t try their drinks other than sweet tea but their drink menu looked so delicious they have a good brunch special and happy hour too. Will definitely come back!

I grew up on the east coast so I generally find Dallas Seafood to be fancy restaurants advertising fresh fish that infact was frozen and overall mediocre - but not this place. Outstanding food and service with a great atmosphere! Varied menu with daily specials. Food is always fresh and tasty. From chowder and gumbo, fresh salads, small plates, incredible seafood entrees and fried favorites and amazing desserts, everything on the menu is amazing! Love the jalapeno hush puppies, Mexican shrimp cocktail and variety of the best fish tacos anywhere...the grouper tacos are my favorite, a fresh combo of flavors though I skip the sauce on the street corn, thats a personal choice. Cocktails, beer, and wine are served with a smile as is everything. Clean inviting atmosphere and a great patio on the east side thats hidden from the late afternoon sun. Reservations are available and recommend during busy times though the wait is usually not too bad. Stop by, youll be glad you did! One of my favorites! Parking: Plenty of space to park. I had heard so many greats things. Those things were about lunch and dinner and the brunch I went for. Coffee is important with brunch and theirs was not good. Kept have to ask for more creamer even though I told them how much I needed. Ordered seafood omelette. Pretty good but was supposed to have a hollandaise sauce and that wasn t what was on it. More like a butter sauce. Paid extra for a toasted English muffin with extra butter. Barely toasted and came with zero butter. When I again asked for butter they brought out the pieces that were so hard they could not spread on the muffin. Useless. When asked for jam or jelly the only option was orange marmalade. I may try them again for lunch or dinner but not brunch.

We found this place by chance and decided to give it a try. Since it was out first time, the server brought us samples of their soups: poblano, gumbo, clam chowder, and crab bisque, all were very good. We tried the Mexican shrimp cocktail which the server prepared at the table, and for the entree we had the crab and shrimp stuffed flounder and the shrimp fettuccine. All were delicious. My only complaint is that there are additional menu items on the giant chalkboard against the wall that our server pointed out, but if you are sitting in the booths against that wall its hard to see the chalkboard. Maybe you can have a menu insert with some of the info, as Im sure it changes from time to time. Overall, a great first experience and we will be back to try more.

We visited on a Friday evening for the first time and loved everything about the restaurant. We loved the energy of the Friday evening crowd, complete with live music. One of the owners stopped by our table and gave us a soup sampler to try. My husband loved the poblano soup so much, he ordered a cup along with Firecracker Shrimp Tacos (which was not on the menu but written on the giant chalkboard on the wall.). I ordered the Southwest Fish Tacos served with a side of Mexican black beans & rice. Delicious and very, very fresh. We started our meal with margaritas (frozen & rocks) because they were just $6 during happy hour. To go with our drinks, we ordered crispy calamari to start. The calamari was wonderful sweet and hot. Our servers were delightful and fun. I would like to return for brunch which has non-seafood items. We visited because Anaya s Seafood was a featured donor at Taste of Plano 2024 benefitting the Hendrick Scholarship Foundation. The owner said he tries to give back to the local community as much as he can. Love that! Highly recommend for a great night out. Update: We visited for brunch on Mother s Day. The Super Mex, Chicken Bacon & Waffles, and Mexican Omelette were very good. All came with rosemary potatoes or hash brown casserole. It would have been fun to enjoy a featured watermelon margarita but it was a little too early in the day for us.

Been to both Plano and Addison locations. Go-to spot for excellent seafood. Best fried shrimp and blackened catfish Ive found and extremely reasonable prices compared to every other seafood place in town with comparable menu and service. Owners are on-site and involved, making sure quality is consistently good. Only slight knock would be that the menu choices of sides are a little ho-hum. By contract, very often the sides they specially prepare and pair with the blackboard menu items are outstanding and unusual. They make a cheese grits casserole type side dish that should be a daily menu option as well as the Cajun red beans and rice, which makes their standard black beans and rice pale in comparison. Good news is, they will gladly substitute a regular menu side for whats on the blackboard even if you dont want the blackboard entre. I and/or family eat at one of these two locations on average about 3 times a month. Love it every time!

I came here about two weeks ago. The ambiance is nice, the tables were clean. The server was kind and attentive. If it s your first time there they give you samples of the soup which the soup was good. The food however was not the greatest. I had the fried catfish, with spinach and cole slaw, my friend had the shrimp poe boy which she said was good. My fish was ok wasn t seasoned as much, the Cole slaw had zero flavor no creaminess to it at all and I asked for mashed potatoes instead. What I did enjoy was the grilled oysters. Those were actually very tasty and fresh. Overall think I would only come back here for the oysters.

Anayas was amazing! My girlfriend picked this place out and it was amazing. We pulled up and there was a pianist outside that was playing inside also. We were welcomed by a great smile at the front. Then we went to the bar and Chilango greeted us and was super friendly and knowledgeable about the specials and drinks. Chilango and Luis (with the epic mustache) were always checking on the whole bar and great to talk to. Leo was an epic manager that was helpful and nice. Told us about the soups (the Crab Bisque was the best I ever had) and he made a shrimp cocktail for another couple at the bar that looked great. They have amazing margaritas and a big list to choose from. The second one I had was the Anayas Signature Margarita (pictured). I had the Parmesan crusted barramundi and shrimp and omg, so much delicious flavor. The food, the people, the atmosphere, we will be back!!!

I might tell a joke, but I will never tell a lie; the food was bland as hell; I should have known it was going to be bland because the tea didnt even have sugar in it. I had gotten a catfish plate and some shrimp pasta. The catfish was fried in corn mill, and there was no seasoning on the catfish. I felt as if I had tasted everywhere the catfish has been it tasted weird. Then , for the pasta, the shrimp was halfway deveined, not all the way, and also, there was no type of seasoning in the pasta. Idk if they thought the cheese was enough seasoning or what, but I was highly disappointed I thought I was going to be going to Flavor Town because of the name but nope.

The Redfish pontchartrain was fantastic, Ill return just for that. My friend loved her tacos and blue point oysters. The calamari and hush puppies, eh, avg at best. and I thought the dynamite shrimp could have had a little more heat but it was still good. Drinks were on point and that may be because the bartenter was also our server.

It doesnt look like much from the outside, but once youre inside its a very casual ambiance with really good food. We had a party of 12 and the service was spot on, they had several people working our party. The food, again, was fantastic. Everyone enjoyed their entrées, and they all looked amazing as well. This is Anayas at Park/Preston 02/27/24. Got there about 7p and the place was packed, all tables, every bar chair. They had a guy setting his keyboard up for live music so I sat outside on the patio. Confirmed this venue is under different management than Arapaho/Tollway location. Ordered the Cedar Plank Salmon to go but ate it there. It was superb with generous servings of mashed garlic taters and broccoli. Superb. Had a great conversation with two ladies at an adjacent table. One from Ohio and a Buckeye fan. The ither attended Arkansas University but an LSU fan - Prior to a great 20 minute conversation them while they waited on an inside table I notice a sign that said Dirty Dough. Hmm. I investigated, purchased ($5) and ate a 4 inch diameter chocolate chip cookie stuffed with . . . edible chocolate chip cookie dough. Killer product!! Highly recommend both venues. Ill go back and sample Avayas Park/Preston soon. At this point highly recommend - and why it was packed.

Food is good, but wait time was double what they quoted (40 minutes). The issue is they take reservations for large parties and they also let tables sit uncleaned to sit waiting patrons. Hopefully, they fix the problems with their service.

First time here and tonight there were only 2 waiters, a manager splitting a hosting shift; who was mostly absent, and one busser doing waiter duties at best. No ne checked-in to see how the meal was progressing. The food was overly greasy and the bottle service was the highlight of the evening for half off, which we took home and went to another restaurant for take out. We will not be back!

They absolutely nail the dining experience evey time I come. Both the food and service are top notch! In an Era when mixed drinks start in the $18 range and go up, they dont go along with this principle. The food is also well priced with good portions. From the excellent soups to the decadent desserts, its a great spot for dates or families.

After just being made aware of this place and having driven by it for the last few years, I finally got a chance to go in. The happy hour and the drinks were great, and the service was just as good. I ordered the fish and chips, and my wife ordered the salmon. My fish was very good, but the chips were just OK. My wife absolutely loved the salmon. If my fries had been better, this place would have been 5 stars all day long. Im definitely going back and will order the fish and chips again.

Very casual but friendly atmosphere with TERRIFIC service & tasty food. We sat at the bar & received excellent service. Our server made good drinks & good food recommendations. I had the parm crusted fish & my spouse had the redfish special. The fish dinners were visually impressive, interesting & flavorful. We also enjoyed their gumbo- chock full of sausage & shrimp. It has the feel of a neighborhood go-to. We ll be back.

Amazing new seafood place in Frisco. Food and service were top notch. Love the all day happy hour on Saturday and Sunday. I ordered the tropical tuna tacos which were amazing and my husband ordered the fish and chips which were the best we ve had in a very long time. My sons enjoyed the options on the kids menu. We were all surprised with a free soup samplers and even my picky eaters tried and liked each of their soups. We can t wait to go back!

I cant say enough good things about this place. Everything we ordered was fresh and well prepared. I ordered a side of fried oysters and only mentioned that they were kinda small and they comped them on the bill. Mussels were fantastic. The bread pudding dessert is incredible. Half price wine Monday and Tuesday.

The Gulf oysters were poor. The Blackened Snapper and Shrimp had only two shrimps. The Seafood Trio fell short. The Grilled Shrimp seemed to have been processed through a dessicate. The Alabama Catfish was just any farmed fish. The Crabmeat Bisque had a chilli taste that we should have been given advance warning. The Shrimp Tacos were very basic. UPDATE Sep 2023: Time for another great seafood dining experience. The first time and last time we were here it was a Plan B choice. This time not doubt A-list all the way. Get there early to beat the crowd on weekday night. By time we left at 7pm the place was full. We got trout and flounder menu items. I liked her flounder meal better, more fish. FIRST REVIEW Nov 2022: For a Plan B restaurant it was very very good. Our 1st choice location nearby was closed due to plumbing problems. SHE who cashes my retirement check remembered this place from her hair dressers recommendation. It was a good one. We arrived before many customers showed up so we got a booth right away. We mentioned to our waiter this was our first visit so we got free their soup sampler serving. We placed our drink order to try one of their house specials which we got quickly. The wait staff was getting busy with more customers coming in especially the kitchen. So busy that we were provide free salads since our entree was taking too long in kitchen. We got two different entree so there was plenty to eat and took a lot home as leftovers. We left room for desert and ate it all. The staff while busy with many customers gave us a lot of time and attention. The hair dresser recommendation was spot on. See photos.

I came for brunch and was at first slightly skeptical of combining breakfast with seafood. However, I m a sucker for eggs Benedict and went for the option with salmon. I got the salmon on the side because of my skepticism. I ended up cutting up the salmon and putting it on myself because this is a great combo! Very impressive how well the flavors combined. Would recommend!

The food was not good. It wasn t terrible but I wanted to give them a second chance . So we went back last night and the food was not any worse but it sure wasn t better . The service was worse . I saw the server go to another table twice and never once came back to see how we were doing AND I asked for a glass of water and I never got it . Today I decided to go to another seafood restaurant to compare so I went to Nate s Seafood in Addison and ordered the exact same thing and there was almost twice as much food ! For about the same price!! So I ll never go to Ayana s again!!
