This is a good place to go for happy hour with your friends or coworkers, they have a large selection of brand and local beers. The apps are also kinda good. I ordered the Dallas Blonde because you can t go wrong with that with chips and queso, my coworker ordered the scorpion burger (no it s not scorpion meat) and he said it was pretty good. I asked for a fresh IPA (sometimes in this area craft beer kegs sit for too long) and our waiter fired back, we clean all of the lines every three weeks and rotate kegs weekly. Respect. We both had a Yellow Rose IPA - tasted amazing. The draft system looked very well built to support a very large craft beer menu. Love to see it. Aside from the friendly waiter and delicious beer, the food was on point as well. Ahi Tuna tacos were excellent. My wife really enjoyed the steak salad - which they were kind enough to modify slightly for her dietary needs. Well be back, likely sitting at the bar exploring the huge draft menu over some apps.

Beer selection was good and service was ok but seats were worn down or had tears. Food was also disappointing. Chicken tacos and brisket tacos were both very dry. They also added in a hidden surcharge to offset higher costs. The other restaurants in the Star are much better. We wouldn t recommend.

Poor experience at City Works. Non attentive service. Food took over an hour to come out and it came out cold and over cooked (likely because it sat under a lamp). Manager did comp three of our dishes and brought out some fresh food subsequently. They appear to be understaffed and food is nothing spectacular. They don t have a specialty which makes everything mediocre. One positive is excellent draft beer selection.

It was not like the other reviews described. Our service was meh . We started with appetizers; queso and chicken bites which we ordered with our entrees. The appetizers were taking so long that we had to ask the hostess, who had to ask another waiter who had to go to the back to check on the order. The waiter shared that the food will be out shortly. Finally, the appetizers showed up but nothing was said by our waitress about the lengthy wait. Next, a few mins after the food arrives. Pulled pork sandwich (super dry meat), 2 kids pizzas (kinda soggy-not a crisp crust for a thin crust pizza) and pretzel bites my parents ordered to snack on while we ate. While the waitress did an okay job filling our glasses, it gets weird when the check comes. I take the check to pay but we re still eating and conversing. The waitress visits our table more frequently and then at one point just stands there, quiet at the head of the table .if my dad wouldn t have made some joke, I think she would still be standing there. The funny thing is, we were there maybe an hour .I could understand if we were there for a long time but nope. I would have talked with the manager or shared my feedback with the hostess but there was literally no one at the hostess stand, some staff huddled together several feet behind it or way back huddled near the end of the bar. For a great dining experience, better service and higher quality food there are many other choices at The Star to choose from.

Regular Tuesday night trivia was Adam Sandler trivia tonight. Normally a bar will let people know if its going to be a niche night, but CityWorks didnt. Great experience at City Works at the Star! I am from Pittsburgh, where we have a City Works, and my experience there has never been as great as the one we had at the Star for my brother s welcome party for his wedding. Taylor was one of the servers and was absolutely fantastic!! She was very attentive and kind. She ensured that we always had a drink in hand. I don t think I saw her stop moving all night! We were in town for a conference, and had asked some friends for a restaurant recommendation. A couple has said we should try the City Works, and we are glad we did. Located right next to the Cowboys Ford Center, the sports grill atmosphere is on the luxury side of the spectrum, and the food is really great. There is a very nice variety of Beer selections, but we felt the shining star of the City Works was the service. Our server was JP, and he was outstanding, and the rest of the staff all seemed excellent as well. JP was friendly and professional, and obviously loved the place. He took very good care of us, and ensured we had a wonderful experience. He is a great ambassador for the brand. I will be recommending City Works myself if anyone tells me theyre coming to Frisco.

Just order a burger. Dont bother ordering fish. I got Ahi Tuna Entree. It was supposed to be rare. It was north of medium rare, more like medium. They killed all the juices, and it tasted dry. First time here, and we were not disappointed... G was an excellent server, parking was a breeze, atmosphere was great. Menu was small but very well made, we had the honey margaritas which were extremely tasty and for a starter the chorizo queso dip which was great. For mains my wife had the chicken ball and biscuit and I had the Chimi-Hendrix (picture included) and it was amazing. For dessert I had the Pecan Porter.. awesome. When you walk in, you are greeted by friendly staff and guided to a seat. There are lots of large TVs to watch your favorite sports. The bar is large, with so many beers on tap to choose from! The food here is absolutely amazing! We started with the queso dip and chips that were very good. I had the Ceasar salad to start with, and flavors burst in your mouth, but not overpowering. For the entree, I had the spicy shrimp tacos, and I can honestly say these are by far the best Ive ever had. My wife had the BBQ chicken flatbread pizza and loved the flavors and crunch. I can tell you if this place was near my home I would be coming here quite frequently!

I had an issue with a Door Dash delivery from City Works and without going into great detail surrounding the issue. I would really like to give praise to AJ Cedillo, the Assistant General Manager. I called and explained my experience and she not only corrected the issue she went above and beyond, refunding my order as well as the delivery fee from Door Dash. She then followed up by telling me when I return or call in an order in the future to ask for her and she would ensure I am well taken care of. Customer Service is not what it used to be and she reminded me that is not applicable to every business. I will be returning to City Works and she is the reason. run away- what a joke. horrible tasteless food and a stupid game show seriously blaring in your ears so i suggest you steer clear of this place. pizza for kids is NOT pizza by any means. this is not food. went with 4 ppl, we all got different things. each was its own variety of gross. absolutely non edible. the equal version would be eat out of a random trash can outside & throw $100+ out of your car while driving 85mph.

Great place. Beer out the wazoo. Smoked bbq, exotic tacos, duck nachos, glazed pork chops, all kinds of stuff !! I dig it. Bar staff awesome, host staff awesome, service great. Crab dip appetizer 17.95$, Smoked Fried Chicken 23.45$, The salmon dish 25.45$ and the snickerdoodle pie 9.95$ is what we ordered. All worth it. The food is above average and actually beats out places that specialize including some fine dining places. This place should be at least a 4.4/5 on google. Shoutout to Brett S for taking care of us with care, consideration and exceptional service which is rare. He went above and in mulitple ways with the #1 being finding food that is elevated from bar food experience. We go to fine dining places often and his level of service outdoes places where it s 50-75 per person. After this experience we will be back. The atmosphere of this place is shockingly good and perfect for dates any time of day. The middle round tables are the most valuable for dates. #Brettsavestheday

Anytime I see smoked wings on the menu I m ordering it. I wasn t expecting to be fooled. These wings had the aroma of smoke but didn t have the flavor of the smoke ( if that makes sense ) when the waiter brought them out the aroma was absolutely amazing and I couldn t wait to dig in when I did I realized that the wings were actually fried. Fries were great tho!

Went in as a work group of 6, for lunch and made pretty simple orders (wings, a sandwich, tacos), nothing crazy. Waitress was nice but it took almost 30 minutes to get our food which we immediately had to ask her for to go containers. No the place wasn t crowded like you would think for a lunch rush either. The 2nd part is I ordered the Cuban sandwich which the kitchen left or forgot to put the pickles and the condiment on the sandwich, so it was super dry. I m pretty sure the sandwich would have been good if finished being prepared. I ve heard mixed reviews about Cityworks food , i understand why now. Nice staff I don t think I ll go back though.

We made a reservation for our son s Graduation party and the process to request that was extremely easy and the Event Sales Manager quickly reached out and helped us get everything set up. The day of our reservation, the graduation ended earlier than we expected and - by almost an hour - and the staff worked to set up our table immediately even though we we were early. Our whole group loved the venue and the large variety of food and drink options (they have so many beer options!), and everyone loved their meals. Our server was super efficient and attentive even with the large size of our group (party of 11). I highly recommend City Works for your next party, date night, or even just a dinner out with friends.

Downtown Frisco is filled with trendy spendy places to grab delicious food, and the area adjacent to the Ford Center is particularly well suited. I recently visited with Oldest Daughter and Son-In-Law to enjoy a long evening repast, if only to also be able to enjoy some beer and watch the Stars take on the Avalanche. The latter did not turn out so well that night, but boy howdy everything else was great! As it turned out, it was the night before the ACM event, which meant a lot of pre-show buzz and hoopla going on across the street. Parking was a little tough this evening, but oh well it s the price you pay for being in a very cool district. We started off by ordering drinks, which I must say is mind-boggling, but in a good way. City Works claims to have the biggest craft beer selection in Frisco, and who was I to argue with dozens upon dozens of tap handles magnificently arrayed before us? Son-In-Law started a succession of locally-brewed IPAs, while Oldest Daughter went with a margarita. And just to make sure we didn t ruin the evening by drinking too much on an empty stomach, we order the Kung Pan Cauliflower, except that somehow we managed to sub chicken for the cauli. Thankfully this is the vegan in the group speaking we had also asked them to keep the ingredients separated so we could each scoop what we wanted. It was a delightful way to start the feast. And then we went on the the mains. Oldest Daughter ordered the Pesto Margerita Flatbread, an entree that had as much eye appeal I m sure as it had taste. Son-In-Law ordered the Brisket Tacos, while I went with the Impossible Burger and Fries. Service was swift, and the food piping hot, ready to be washed down with our chosen quaffs (I think we were already on to the second round at this point). At this point we were done with eating, stuffed to the gills, but with enough room for one more drink, which we most heartily would have raised to the Stars had they not fallen apart in the third period that night. Oh well, they advanced to the semi-finals, and as far as we re concerned, City Works won the championship with their amazing food, beverage selection, big screen TVs, and atmosphere. It was money well spent. Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options, so no need to fret if you need to amend your carnivorous habit!

I was at your restaurant last night when I was rudely interrupted by your staff twice while I was on a FaceTime call. I moved my self to the farthest corner of the restaurant from my table outside with friends for some privacy because the call was sensitive. There was multiple open tables through out the restaurant. The call was because my mother who was on her death bed wanted to speak and see one last time. I told the girl the first time to leave me alone and then you arrogant regional manager thought her presence would some how change mind! So I clearly show her the face time of my ill mother on the phone and she finally goes away. Today my mother passed! So now I have that as my last time I spoke to my mother as a memory. Great customer service!!!

Here for derby brunch. First off the lounge area furniture is dirty. Had to request a table cloth to cover the table. I purchase a VIP booth for 10 people. Server was last in our area 1 1/2 hours ago. Got our first round of drinks and appetizers and that s it. Would love to have had a meal but looks like I till be stopping at another restaurant on the way home: beyond disappointed!

Two weeks ago, we hosted a customer event for my company (Solution Architects Group) on the patio and it was nothing short of incredible! A huge shout-out to Colleen McFeely, who was phenomenal to work with. Colleen was not only accommodating by allowing us to check our AV setup days before the event, but she also provided invaluable suggestions for table arrangements and helped us (along with AJ) to create and name signature drinks that were a hit! The bar manager, AJ, truly stood out as one of the best bartenders Ive ever encountered. AJs personable approach made everyone feel welcome and added a special touch to our event we had a blast getting to know her! The serving team that night deserves a round of applause as well. They managed to be both attentive and friendly, handling our group of over 100 guests with ease. Their professionalism and warmth set the perfect tone for the evening and helped make our first big event a tremendous success. A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone involved! City works, a home away from home! I absolutely cant say enough about this place! The atmosphere, the food, the view and the staff makes living in texas worth wild! Andrew was my bartender tonight, with over the top service! While he was servicing a decent number of guests, there was not a moment I felt forgotten. Its details like makes the experience second to none. In addition, I absolutely love the rewards feature. The assistant general manager AJ was kind enough to point it out! My husband and I were seated by the hostess and given menus. After that, no one came to our table to even get drink orders. The place wasnt busy at all. We kept watching the employees walking around, thinking someone would come take our orders, but no one did. My husband is not an impatient person at all, so for him to say well give them 5 more minutes and then were leaving, was enough. When we started walking out, a waitress asked us if we were the ones sitting at that table, and I told her its too late. We were the same ones that had been sitting at that table with absolutely nothing every time you walked past us. Upon leaving, the Im so sorry you guys from another hostess or whatever her position was, was just not enough.

Hosted a company event in the upstairs patio and it was amazing ! Great views and service was excellent. I organized the event with Colleen and she was very helpful and responsive.
