I am at a loss for words, and not in the good way. I am not someone who loves to bash food places because the business is hard, and it has bad days but I really hope this place has some redeeming dishes. The rice was apparently fried rice but tasted more like white rice colored brown and flavored with hate. I think the chicken and broccoli was boiled and thrown in a bowl with some kind of soy type broth? My partners sesame chicken was more likened to glazed cardboard than anything I recognize as food. My kid liked his meal. Im still a little shocked as I write this because for my partner and I to dislike something, you really have to go out of your way to make it bad. That is all.

Placed order online and went to pick up and they first tried to charge me for someone elses order, I told them I placed an order online and paid online. They said they had it ready and gave me a bag, drove home 20 miles to find out it was the wrong order. Called the store and the person told me they had my order returned and was at the store, I told them work in Burleson but live in Cleburne and wasnt driving back, I asked for a refund and she said referred me to door dash, which is 20 minutes that I will not get back. Please pay attention, stop flirting with the staff of the Exxon and learn something about customer service

The food was amazing! it was made fresh to order and the portions were more than agreeable for the price. Everything was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. When you go, make sure you ask for Tony. He was patient as I combed through the menu, made sure I made sure the order was correct and checked back with me to ensure that the food met my standards. Awesome little unexpected gem. will definitely be getting my Chinese food fix from here again soon!

Facility is in a gas station. I know. Very strange but it has the best fried rice imaginable. They call it chris fried rice. You can make it mild or extra hot and it is absolutely fabulous. Definitely recommend this place for people who are fried rice lovers like myself.

We had our food delivered, and everything we got was fantastic! We got the Kung Pao Chicken, the Chicken Broccoli, the chicken Lo Mein, and a couple of spring rolls. We got all our entrees at medium spice, which was perfect! The chicken was tender, the veggies cooked perfectly; still with some crunch. Everything is seasoned well. Would definitely recommend, and we ll eat here again!

Rice house express, has the best fried rice Ive ever had, the Chris fried rice has beef, pork,chiken in the fried rice. You can get it spicy or low spice. It is the best. Tonight I tried the jalapeño chiken, and just like literally everything they sell it was amazing. The pic is of the jalapeño chiken. Also the manager Tony is a very personable funny guy. He and his employee Bella were super nice their attitudes make you want to come back. Parking: Its a large gas station parking lot. Honestly, The Chris Fried rice is amazing and adding the spices only makes it better. Itll have you driving out of your way just to get some and btw they arent stingy with the ingredients either. My new favorite fried rice spot after years of searching Post-Pacific. UPDATE: June 2024 A shadow of its former self. The first thing you smell when opening the bag is burned oil. It resonates throughout all the fried dishes it seems. What used to taste fresh and amazing has now become overcooked with meats burnt (short of shrimp) without almost no comparison to my previous post. The seasonings and full flavors are gone and even the rice taste overcooked and burnt. Oh how I long for years past because the current venue isnt even on the same planet as the old. The food was by far the worst food I have ever tasted the got my order wrong 2 times the first time I ordered orange chicken and it had absolutely 0 flavor the manager Toni is rude and a big liar the second time I orders I ordered beef and and they sent chicken I repeated beef twice and he still sent chicken then he was very rude about getting my order wrong and told me he heard chicken anyway since I can t get my money back I guess I will give it to my dog not even sure it he will eat this trash

Ordered dinner for my family, and wasnt very pleased. The Orange chicken didnt look like Orange chicken, more like barbecue sauce covered chicken. That is all my son eats from a Chinese place, and he didnt like the flavor, it was also overcooked, way too hard to chew. My husbands jalapeño chicken was ok, because of the fact the chicken was overcooked, I ordered sweet and sour chicken for my girls, and we didnt get the sauce for it, it was too far out of our way to go back for it, and the spring rolls are super small, panda has the same tasting rolls except pandas is bigger and just about the same price. I ordered the special, and it wasnt bad, but the spam makes it too salty...if youve never had hawaiin bros, they have a Seaweed covered spam slice that sits on a bed of rice, and that is delicious, and not salty either, I just dont like seaweed so i take it off. The reason I pointed them out, was the spam they use isnt salty, the spam at this place is definitely salty. Mind you I spent about $80+ and it wasnt alot of food, and it wasnt great either.

UPDATE!!! 11/26/23 New Ownership, and SURPRISE!!!!!!...The place has GONE TO S#!T!! Person(s) taking orders are RUDE and argumentative on the phone. Customer service experience at the counter is disappointing. Food quality is poor. Orders place with new staff have all 3 been WRONG and/or been MISSING ITEMS. Portions are smaller, prices are higher than any other Chinese take out in town. Absolutely NOTHING good to say about the place now. What a disappointment! Another good take out place down the toilet! BEST CHINESE FOOD IN TOWN - HANDS DOWN!!!!! The guys there are GREAT and are always quick with a smile and to help you with your order. The sweet and sour sauce is lacking in flavor and consistency. The lomein was too salty like too much soy sauce was used, and the cream cheese wontons are just that, cream cheese, no crab meat, making them lacking in flavor and consistancy as well. Worst experience ever I have delivered food for other customers. Always had a long wait but the owner explained to me they make everything from scratch fresh and it was worth the long weights. so I decided even though it s 25 minutes away to try it for the first time. Unfortunately picked up my order ,brought it home $64. And 20 minutes drive there then 20 mins home for the wrong order . My son called to complain and in the middle of explaining the problem he was put on hold for 20 minutes while I was driving back thinking I was going to pick up the right order this time. It was very upsetting to be on hold that long after being cut off in the middle of our complaint to not get it resolved. Would ve been happy to exchange the messed up order for the right one but after my son was cut off in the middle of the conversation and put on hold for 20 minutes he knew by the time I got there and would have to wait another 25 minutes for them to prepare a new order so just wanted to refund. Manager told him he would take care of it. I got there ,was told the owner would be back in five minutes he could only do fund so I waited for about 10 minutes only to be told he wasn t coming back. Asked why we told he could get a refund when he couldn t and why he cut us off then put on hold 20 mins,he said he busy with other customers . I guess they were more important than the unhappy one on phone. Finally, I was told the owner wouldn t be back in and I finally got my refund after two hours driving time and was cut off when trying to exchange the order for the right one instead was put on hold for 20 minutes. The manager kept telling me different stories, but finally gave me back my money. That food could never be good enough to overcome the worst customer service I ve ever had especially from a manager. Very disappointed , was given the wrong order, was treated very rudely and two hours of driving time ,30 minutes of waiting time for an owner that never came just to end up getting a refund I had to fight for.. the service was way too bad to ever even want to try. The food won t be back.

Typically have really good service here. Maybe miss a litte sauce or egg rolls. But this last time, AWFUL. I was missing my 2 egg drop soups, was sent white uncooked rice when I asked for fried rice. Called up to let them know, guy on the phone hung up on my wife TWICE. First time said he was going to speak with the manager and just flat out hung up. The second time I asked for a solution and he said I could drive up there myself tomorrow And that they had a lot of new people. Me and my spouse want to Rice House Express for the first time today 6/27/23. The Chris Fried Rice was so delicious, we got it medium it had a little spice to it. We ordered ours with the minimum spice and it was still very flavorful. During our recent visit to Burleson in advance of our move there we stopped at Tiger Mart for some fresh food. Being unfamiliar, I asked one of the Rice House Express employees a question about the produce and he was friendly and immediately came to help. I later learned he did not work for Tiger Mart (their staff was also friendly and helpful) and I was so impressed that he was willing to help instead of letting me know he wasnt a store employee. Rice House Express is a little gem hidden in Tiger Mart in Burleson and you want to go find it! Its that good!

I was expecting normal gas station food but was blown away by quality better than most restaurants. The guy who took our order even gave us a great recommendation for first-time customers since we would have otherwise gotten food too spicy for us.

Goodness gracious that beef brocolli is amazing! Cooked to perfection. I had got my order to-go, took a few bites, by the time i got home the food was still damn good. excellent. Not sawgy at all! Out of all the places here, Rice House Express in Burleson is the most flavorful food with the mo bang fo yo buck!

The Chris fried rice is quite tasty, The Spring Rolls and egg rolls are fantastic, and The cream cheese wontons are highly addictive. We have been eating Rice house for a while now and they have yet to disappoint. The food is always delicious and the staff is always pleasant and welcoming.

This was our first time eating here. The food was so good. Decent portions for the price. My husband and I were full about half way through our meal. I recommend the Chris fried rice and pork roll. Our new favorite Chinese spot. We will definitely be back. Only complaint is that I wish there was more seating and that there was a sign outside the gas station to let patrons know that its located inside the gas station.

We have had the Chris fried rice. Sweet and sour chicken, chicken lo mein, orange chicken, and chicken fried rice. They did mess up our order once. We ordered chicken lo mein but got chicken fried rice. It was delicious, just not what we ordered. We have enjoyed everything we have eaten there. It is the only Chinese food we eat.

Its hard to find (look for Tiger Express gas station, its in there) but worth it. I had the house special lo mein with medium heat. They pack it in the take out container so you get a good portion. The heat was just right, and it went well with a cold beer. Enjoy.
