I recently visited Mexican Bar Company with a large party of 25 guests, and I couldn t be more pleased with the experience. The service was excellent from start to finish. Our servers were attentive, friendly, and made sure our large group had everything we needed throughout the evening. I the mole enchiladas, they were delicious and the hot guava is my favorite cocktail! The manager personally checked in on us several times to make sure we were taken care of, which made our visit feel even more special. Highly recommend this place for both small and large gatherings! Will be back for their Latin Night and brunch with my friends! Kid-friendliness: They have kids menus with crayons.

Mexican Bar Company easily earns a 5-star review! Their street tacos are simply amazing packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. The house-made chips and salsa are fresh and addictive, setting the tone for an incredible meal. The rice and beans that come with it are top-notch and full of taste. Their chicken quesadillas are another standout, with juicy, tender chicken and just the right amount of cheese. The staff is super cool, friendly, and made sure everything was just right. Nice place, the food was excellent. This is not a authentic Mexican place, is a very delicious gourmet food! The salsa verde and the chicharrones (pork skin) are delicious! The bar service was exceptional! Amazing music! The valley parking guy went beyond this world! Outstanding customer service! My only problem was that they allow people extremely intoxicated to keep drinking and dance without shoes and spilling wine all over the dance floor and no one care.No dress code ! Too bad for such a nice place.

Came here for my birthday Saturday night. The host said it would be an hour wait. That was fine I said it s my birthday today and I m here with my family to celebrate. There are five of us here with one on her way. He said he couldn t promise me a table but would try. He mentioned the empty tables in the bar area were being removed to make space for dancing. I used to frequent Gloria s in Addison so I already knew what to expect. Unknowingly a lady that was standing behind him overheard our convo. She walked over to me and asked if we would like to sit at a table she had reserved. That she had some empty seats enough for my group. I asked are you sure? No problem she said. She was very sweet and kind to offer. Turns out someone at that table was also celebrating their birthday. Right away the host came over and he looked annoyed. He said the table was already taken. I explained what the lady said. He said She s a nobody. I said she told us she was the promoter and that we could sit here. This time he threw his hands up in the air, looked even more irritated, raised his voice and said She s nothing! She s just a promoter! I m the owner! He asked me my name and stomped off. The lady came back, smiled at us, and gave us the thumbs up. We gave her the thumbs up back and thanked her again. She really made us feel special as it was a special occasion. My niece, the 6th person in my group, arrived 5 minutes after 10p. My son met her at the front and even though we had the table she was still charged $10 entry. That host, a different guy, was rude too! Said she had to go to the back of the line. The person behind my niece told him no she was already in front. Idk what s up with the men there. But him and the dizque owner are the reason I didn t give it 5 stars. Owner or not the guy was very unprofessional. Turned a joyous occasion into an uncomfortable situation. But thanks to the promoter and the waitress for making the rest of our night worth staying! We ended up having a really good time. And it s because of them two ladies I even gave it 3 stars.

I was at Mexican bar last night in Plano. Great place for energy and dancing. The music was great, lively crowd. There was one thing that really turned me off about this place was the bartender that refused to serve me ice water. He said go find a server I dont serve water. After spending big money in this place, and asking for a simple glass of water to be treated, this way was absolutely unacceptable. If this is Mexican Bar management accepting behavior, I will never go back to this place. this is the most ridiculous thing.. It took me 10 minutes to finally get my water because I had to go back to my table, hunt down my waitress to get water when simply he could give it to me, and get $1 tip.

Ridiculous service and awful experience. They refuse to give you a glass of water and charge a ridiculous amount for a small bottle. The bartenders ignore you for more than 10 minutes, even if you wave to them, they pass you repeatedly without even glancing at you. And to top it off, after all that terrible service, they add their own tip at the end. The most unpleasant and disappointing experience. Never again.

I ve been wanting to check this place out for a while and decided to go solo last weekend. I ordered queso birria tacos. Words can t described just how fresh and flavorable they were! They also serve with you chips, pork rhines, salsa and hot sauce complimentary when you arrive. I haven t seen the pork rhines/hot sauce combo at a resturant before but it was so good. Idk if they make it inhouse but everything I ate tasted fresh and home made. The service was fantastic. My waitress was attentive and super nice. One of the managers or supervisors also stopped by my table to check on me which I appreciated. Also, their playlist is top tier! Highly recommend

Stopped in to try something new on a Saturday afternoon where Jonas provided excellent service and made us strong drinks...thank you! This is really an upscale taco bar that turns into a nightclub with DJs and dancing from 10 - 3 am. They are a bit overpriced due to location and guessing primary Polo Club / Willow Bend shoppers audience. Its positioned as authentic Mexican food restaurant, NOT Tex-Mex, so no fajitas, burritos, or chimis, although there are plenty of tacos, tequilas, and some more expensive dishes if youre so inclined. Again, its not Tex-Mex but worth a visit if you want to dance in evening or have some extra cash laying around: 5 drinks + 2 apps + tacos entree + salad entree = $155 & $190 after tip to a very good waiter and manager. Sadly, we did not enjoy this place and will not go back. I agree with several other reviews about the food being just ok . My boyfriend is a chef so we have high expectations when we go out. This place failed to meet our expectations big time. The portions were small for the price of the entrees. The queso and salsa were all pretty terrible. Tasted like it all came out of a jar. My boyfriend and I spent $135 on an appetizer, We each had a dish and two drinks. My Baja tacos were lukewarm and falling apart. I don t know what my boyfriend got but he said it wasn t great. So, I mean $135 isn t unreasonable for everything we ordered. We just wish we had enjoyed the food. Drinks were decent but over priced and not super strong. My $15.50 Paloma s tasted more like grapefruit than tequila. We were still hungry when we left so we came home and ate something else. I will say our server was nice and pleasant to talk to. I ve had much better Mexican food At Torchy s Tacos.

The waitperson approached our table within 3 to 4 minutes and took a drink order, which was delivered within another 3 to 4 minutes. in the meantime, another server came to take our food order which was delivered promptly as well. All items were cooked to perfection. The flavors were wonderful, the atmosphere was great. I was there for a business dinner and the noise level was low so that we could discuss what we needed to discuss. There were friendly faces all around and the environment was warm and friendly. My Milpa salad was not fresh (greens semi-wilted) and the chicken was rubbery and not good. The staff is great, they are always very friendly and they are usually fast with the orders. The margaritas are really good and the desserts like the churros are good as well (they have a little bit more sugar than they should) but they are pretty good. The food in general good as well although to me the tacos are a little bit expensive to what they serve, it seems they try to serve gourmet tacos rather than authentic Mexican tacos (just 3 tacos, not enough meat, they focus more on the presentation rather than on the taste).

I was looking for somewhere fun to take my wife dancing for our anniversary. I waited til the day prior to plan a date, so I didnt have enough time to really think it through. This place came up in my search, and it was exactly what i had hoped for. Upscale and classy for a romantic date, but just enough to also enjoy a casual dinner with friends/family. Pulling up can be just a tad confusing as you park in the mall parking lot because it is a bit hidden. Didnt realize they had valet until we parked and walked over from the mall lot. Aside from that, walking through the lot all dressed up had us wondering if we might have overdressed... We didnt. We went to the Saturday night event with the dance lesson. We arrived early to have dinner before the fun and watched the place transform from a dining area to an open dance floor. The server was great and helped us figure out what to order since we couldnt figure out what we wanted. They started us out with the complimentary chips and salsa, plus chicharron. No complaints there. Our first item was the Brussel sprouts dish, which was great but actually kind of sweet. We used some of the chips salsa to level it out, and it worked out great. My wife and I decided to share a plate, so we decided on the al pastor street tacos. Finished off the meal with 3leches cake and coffee. Then we hit the dance floor to sweat it all out. Everything was as i had hoped it would be, except for the tacos. Considering the price, i was expecting to be wowed, but it was quite disappointing. The tacos were street size, and the meat wasnt bad, but thats it. No cilantro, onions, or lime served with it. The tortilla is just as important as the meat, and this is where it really fell flat, in my opinion. Bland store bought white corn tortillas. Not even the thin ones. I was really hoping for handmade tortillas, or at the very least, yellow corn tortillas. $17 for 3 tacos with no sides, sets an expectation of which it fell far from. This was my first visit and we really had a great time. Ill definitely return to try other menu items, but the main attraction for me is the music and dancing.

Wanted to give this place a try but didn t even have the chance to. We were a walk in (party of 3) did not have a reservation but allegedly they could not seat us, even when approximately 50% of all tables were free. Hostess claimed all free tables were reserved and they could not sit us. Didn t even offer to put us on a waiting list or nothing, just literally a straight NO. I understand we didnt have a reservation and Fridays are busier than usual, but when the place is not busy it doesn t make sense. It was the first time I tried the food at this place. The chips were good and so was the green sauce. The dishes seemed a little expensive to me, but I had to try them. So I decided to order the Al Pastor tacos. To be brutally honest, when the tacos arrived I was completely offended. The presentation was highly poor. The photo can say it all. It is a lack of respect. The taste wasnt right either. The tortillas tasted undercooked. Overall the food quality was extremely dissapointed. I have been here twice now for brunch. The first time, the food was AMAZING!!! We came back for a second time recently for brunch and the food was very different. We ordered the camaron ceviche and it was WAY TOO sweet. Maybe too much pineapple? We also ordered the carnitas hash. It was kind of soggy and not crispy. Went on a date night. First, had to wait about 4 mins to be seated even though it didnt seem busy, 2nd no server showed up for like 10mins, then George came and asked if we had been attended, to which we said no. After that small ordeal he took out drink orders with a nice recommendation of cocktails. got the pinadito (pictured), definitely a great cocktail, would highly recommend to everyone. Meal was 2 barbacoa tacos and the polla a las brasas. (Both pictured) Firstly, the pollo a las brasas, if youre truly hungry order the full or of sharing but if just for an individual order the half plate. Maybe not the best seasoned/flavored chicken but acceptable. Dessert was a tres leche cake provided by George, thanks. I personally, not a big fan of tres leches but it was good. We stopped by this spot for happy hour. It reminded me of college with beat the clock ever hour the menu prices go up for happy hour from 3 to 6. But only on the high tops and bar area. When you sit down you get chips, chicharrones (pork rinds), and two salsas that were both delicious. The Milagro Pinadito Margarita was amazing and tasted like we were on vacation. We also got the barbacoa and carnitas tacos. I preferred the carnitas over the barbacoa. But the carnitas did have peanuts or something that was a bit odd. The vibe was good and staff was friendly. Unfortunately the patio is not dog friendly so we had to put the pup up and have a quick 30 min happy hour. Vegetarian options: They had mushroom tacos on happy hour!

We came back later to Salsa Saturday a group of around 12 people from Omni hotel. for some of us it was our first time there so we didnt know we were not supposed to stand by the bar, since there are no signs that prohibit or direct you to the right order places. And of course there was a corpulent employee who doesnt know how to treat guest, he told us in a rude and with bad manners to move away. Every thing was perfect, but some people can not see you happy. I believe the should be signs that tell you where to order and where you should not stand, or a nice employee telling you nicely where to order drinks at the bar!

Location So this restaurant is tucked away in Willow Bend shopping mall. Its pretty quiet around there lately, so finding a parking spot is a breeze. Service The folks working there are top-notch. Super friendly at the front desk and the waiter was on the ball, knew his stuff, and very friendly too. Food We kicked things off with some chips and dip before diving into the main course. I went for an avocado salad, and let me tell you, the portions are no joke! We ended up asking for boxes to take home the leftovers. Plus, the salad was packed with chicken really tasty. Restaurant Got there about 7:30 pm, and for a Saturday night, it was surprisingly quiet. But by the time we were leaving around 9, it started to get a little livelier. Theyve got a bar, but we hung out in the dining area. The place has a really cool décor, comfy seats, and a laid-back feel. Overall All in all, the food s fantastic, prices are fair, and it tastes amazing. The service is a big thumbs up. Definitely planning to go back.

Food was far overcooked so baddly, sent food back, same food came back from same pan whole food was cooked in . They did not make new batch. Service was beyond terrible. 45 min wait until we wave down to order our food. 1 hour for food to arrive. Place was far too loud. Because food took so long to arrive we waved waiter down for refill of awful stiff chips in tiny containers. Mexican food places in Texas are judged by chips and dip first before food. We are never coming back. This was bad.

Not coming back, ever . Overpriced pretentious food. Since when a Carnitas Tacos is SWEET? I get if you want to add peanut, ok I can deal with that, but it doesnt mean its sweet, because the menu doesnt read Peanut sauce or peanut jelly jam or anything suggesting its coated in sweet sauce. Personally I like my sweets as dessert, so yeah I dont like Chinese food that is sweet either. But we sat for 45 minutes with drinks only and if I dont want my hands at the stuff they walk Infront of the table like if they are modeling not looking at the tables. So I had to ask when will you come take our order? Oh are you ready sheet said? ... Really? How would you know if you dont stop and ask? Then muy friend food was over chicken and lukewarm they changed it for the same so he return it all. Mine was sweet the tortillas just bland on the raw side white no flavor at all, and the sweet dessert like pork on top. And prices are Ridiculous, 3 tiny little tacos with NO side at all 18 dollars? Did I say pretentious? Manager came asking if I wanted something else and most everything is similar, so I said no thanks. But he brought me beef tacos. I did eat 1 and was ok, I am not into potatos and beef tacos but was ok. Tortilla again was lame white and flavorless. Then the noise came... Well I get is a bar, food shows it ... But you cant talk of how loud it is all over. I get dance area, but all over? Horrible experience I wont cover back even if paid to do so.

I loved the service and attention that we received from our waiter, she was so sweet and kind and very personable. The food came out pretty fast, the food had a wonderful presentation. The food was cooked well, but lacked flavor. Our water cups stayed full, and offered refills for our sodas. I loved the obeisance, the music was great, I loved the decor it was lovely. I will go again for drinks I hear they are great. Im willing to give this place another chance, because I felt like they deserve it. Parking: You have to park in the parking garage on the first floor.

I had a group of four with two who needed special accommodations. Having never been to the restaurant I had several email conversations with Ivan. I cannot express enough how genuinely kind, understanding, and accommodating he was... even before we stepped into his restaurant. The menu is stellar. The food lovely and creative. Spicy. Delicious. The wait staff and hostess all professional and kind. My husband and I will return. And, on our return, we will partake in the fun of the restaurant, the drinks, and their nightlife. Thank you, Ivan, for making that special occasion for my family perfect. Vegetarian options: Go to the website and read the menu!! Dietary restrictions: My husband and I are on a three week purification. Were vegan for 10 days. The vegan options were exciting and delicious. (Im not vegan by nature and cant wait to return and try the barbacoa tacos.) The food has me forget I was being vegan.

Our new favorite place to dine. Someone turned us on to this place after another place we went to went downhill. We have now been here twice and couldnt not recommend this place any better. The place has amazing made from scratch food like you would get in a small place but has a big place atmosphere. The guac is great, and they always seem to have a special one on the menu featured. We had a mango one last time and it was really good. Also have had the enchiladas, the tacos also amazing. Our all time favorite is the mexican street corn on the cob. Its roasted, seasoned and after it comes out there are some sauces added that makes it amazing. Also the drinks are really good here, we like the sangria. Grabbed a to-go order for our child and brought it home for her. She said it was also amazing. The wait staff is very attentive. Went last night ( saturday night) during the xmas holidays and still had amazing service.

We went here because our friends got us a gift card. The food was awesome, we did the Mbc experience and our waitress worked with us on what to pick (it was so nice to not make a bunch of decisions). I don t think I ve ever been impressed by a more friendly and accommodating management and hosting crew. We had a social gather meeting here that was about 10-12 people and it blew up to 40+ in less than a day. The team at Mexican Bar Company was able to figure out a solution in less than 10 minutes. Our waitress was attentive, and the food was good as well but their management is beyond world class. Their Saturday Salsa night was fun for the first 1.5 hours but around 11:30 it become more clubby rather then salsa dancing. Which is okay, just not for us.

This place is pretty solid and a great value during their happy hour!!! Three of us ordered and shared some small plates and appetizers and total was like 60 for all of us. I really liked the shrimp tacos. They were really nice and seasoned! The ahi tuna tosdatidas were also pretty good, same with the ceviche. The queso was just OK. The vibes overall are really nice at the restaurant, service was great, it s def a chill and convenient place to grab a bite to eat before/after shopping.

This is anything but Mexican food. The rice is fried rice with carrots like panda express. We tried the tacos but there was nothing I wanted to eat again ever. Nasty rice, nasty beans, salsa looks like tomato soup and tacos so soggy the corn tortilla fell apart. If you want to waste 20 bucks on nasty food you wont eat this is the place, otherwise try somewhere else if you want to eat the food served.

I order a $85 take out for two people. To discover my drink was missing and there was no pico, sour cream, guacamole nothing to go with the quesadillas. My Brussel sprouts were over cooked. Take out service easy. But was not able to place it online. I had to call it in. I wpuld prefer to do it online and pick it up. But quick pick up. Location seems amazing and like a great hang out spot or date night. Food was ok. I was looking forward to my birria food. But it was quite salty. It ruined the experience for me. I was craving quesabirrias and couldnt really enjoy it. Even the consome to dip them was salty. But again I would still go again and hope for a better experience. Just sad that its pricey and wasnt as great as I hoped.

Came here for lunch and it did not disappoint. First we ordered quest with ground beef and they brought us chips and pork rinds. That was a treat and pork rinds with cheese is tastier than I realized. I got the naked avocado salad and I added seared tuna. It was so hearty and delicious. My husband got the governador tacos and he liked them but said that he would not get them again. Our service was good, we sat at the bar and it wasn t too busy. They have TVs and an outdoor patio area. We parked in the parking garage. The restaurant was clean. Restrooms were well kept. When we are in the area again we will be back. We are from okc and we stumbled upon the mexican bar. They have an amazing line of the best tequilas (fortaleza, siete leguas, tequila ocho, el tesoro) and authentic mexican food. I had the tampiquena( marinated steak)and the quesa birria which was amazing! This place has a great bar with great tvs to watch sports with an amazing atmosphere. Really strange vibe. The DJ looks like he s troubled or has mental issues. We were waiting to be sat, he interjected himself into our family s conversation. Then he proceeds to walk to where we were sitting (a few times) crossed his arms and stared us down lol .it was surreal. We felt uncomfortable, so we asked one of the servers if he was management since he took so much interest in our table she said no.. but he s just a bit over the top . Ookay. Maybe if he concentrated on providing a better music set and not creep out the patrons, the restaurant would have a more pleasant vibe. We were a large party and were willing to spend $$$. We ate quickly, only had one drink and left. As we walked out, he stood right next to the entrance and stared us down .again. Management should perform a wellness check on this dude.
