WWe ate outside because the weather was nice, but all the tables were dirty and the chairs were rusty. My Wagyu ribeye was tough. Overall, I expected better. Ive never been here, but I had heard about it, so thank you for an overpriced meal, friend. I believe our bill was a little over $500 with the tip.

We chose this place for a few special occasions. They did not disappoint . Randy was our waiter and helped pick the right cut of steak and dessert. The alcohol is reasonable in price and has good variety of options. The plates are pretty big compared to other places. The restaurant is clean and has a nice ambiance to it. We had the wagyu cowboy ribeye. It was amazing. The fried shrimp is great. The risotto is legendary. The pork belly bites are amazing and will start your night the right way. We will be back soon.

Edit: Just as amazing this year as last year! Had some salmon, some lamb Wellington, a delicious Tomahawk, all the trimmings and a fun dessert plate! All of it was outstanding: the service, the chefs, taste and delivery. The baker and their desserts ended the night spectacularly! We missed the beef Wellington, but we re definitely going to try again next year to celebrate 21 years Bravo! to the whole team at Killen s! Three of us went to celebrate our 19th anniversary as partners, and treated ourselves to some beef Wellington, and a bunch of other treats. Even before we got our entree, staff came to our table to tell us they did not prepare the Wellington to their standards, and that there would be a delay while they prepared another round. They literally let us snack on one of the failures (which was still wonderful) while we waited. Servers, managers, chefs were all top-notch, and the food and drink were amazing. My *only* criticism was the proximity of the bar to the dining area. We could have done without the energetic goings-on at the bar, but it was a small nit-pick. In any case, we re celebrating 20 years at the end of the month, and this is where we ll be going!

What an amazing experience! We had not been to this restaurant in many (many) years and quite frankly dined as it seemed to be one of the only options near our location! What a surprise!! The food, happy hour selection, service and food were above par ! Emily and Zach and the team were so accommodating ensuring our experience was perfect. Example, I keep sugar to a minimum and Emily went out of her way to substitute sugar liquors in my cocktail!! We had items off both the happy hour and full menu and not a bite disappointed us!!!

My wife and I have gone to eat here several times in the past and our experience was excellent. This last time, Friday (5/17/24), it was absolutely horrible. We ordered steaks, potatoes, au gratin and brussels sprouts, all pretty standard steakhouse dishes. Both of our steaks were extremely salty to the point where I couldn t even finish them and something made both me and my wife violently sick that night, the following day, and the next day (today). I think it was the brussels sprouts. Either way the service was ok, food has gone downhill, and the environment overall average. If you re looking to go out for a nice dinner there s much better places to spend your money at. If you do choose Killins, I pray you don t get as sick as we did.

I have always been one to hype up and recommend killens do to many great experiences here. As of yesterday had it been my first visit, I most likely wouldnt return. First complaint was that the appetizer was not only unappetizing as far as taste, but it was missing a whole portion of the platter. Secondly there was little knats flying all up in my girlfriend and my face ( I most have killed like 8 of them). And lastly whatever steak they switched to for the regular prime was super tough. Aside from that the sides and service was great.

Killen Steakhouse: --- I recently dined at Killen Steakhouse and had an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance was inviting, with a warm and sophisticated atmosphere that set the stage for a memorable meal. The food surpassed my expectations; each dish was expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. However, what truly stood out was the impeccable service provided by Emmett, our waiter. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was nothing short of perfection. I highly recommend Killen Steakhouse to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience with great food and exceptional service.

We went to Happy Hour to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. The drinks and food were very reasonable (for a nice steakhouse- you arent getting anything cheap but its worth paying for quality). We had the best pork belly and nachos weve ever had. Pork belly melts in your mouth! We also love their Cesar salad and French onion soup. The server was new but did a great job- very attentive. We sat and enjoyed drinks and appetizers for 2 hours and never felt rushed. Weve done a sit down, full steak dinner before and it was good but we highly recommend the Happy Hour for a little more variety and bang for your buck!

Im not sure how this place manages to stay in business in Houston with steaks like that. Overcooked disgusting flavorless pan-fried $70 steaks. Im glad I didnt go with Wagyu. Imagine a fine dining experience with food worse than at Dennys. We had such a wonderful day today, and this place ruined it. I couldnt even finish a half of mine, and didnt take the leftovers home for my dog, because my dog deserves better. Its really mind boggling how they compete with so many amazing places in Houston where you can get a perfect smoked steak for $30.

Great experience. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak, the potion was large but I was not impressed. It was a very middle-of-the-road effort. At this price point, I expected more. My wifes meal was very good, and the desserts we took to go were good as well. The selection of whiskeys and bourbons was great. The service was really good. We made reservations and we were in and seated without issue. The complementary valet parking was a plus. Aside from my disappointment the overall experience was good.

Plus a wide variety dry/wet aged steaks including wagyu. Al la carte sides. Perfectly reflects Pearland! Premier service and professionally staffed kitchen. Clean and organized - reflects in all aspects of this steak house. Must also see killens burgers and legendary bbq spots too! What, mexican food too?!?! Yes - go there! Parking: Huge parking lot we got there early before valet was set up - earliest resu at 4 pm. Shared mine and friends meals they had the Griilled Snapper, was delicious from the beginning to end, and I had the Chicken Francese, fine at first then began to get tough cutting through. I turned it over and the underside had been seriously scorched. Wonderful waiter, Emmitt took it back and got me another. The second was Excellent and tender from beginning to end. I stuck with 4 stars (really 3½ stars) because the artichoke heart and mushrooms were too vinegar and that spread to the cream sauce and pasta. It was also like that with the first plate. Their water has that excess chlorine taste; need lemons or limes. My pet peeve with most restaurants is that the salad is never enough to get you to the entrée no matter how fast the chef is cooking; an wedge of iceberg with the rest of the salad built on top would give more sustenance and still not use anymore dressing than already given. Parking: Fine but get there early. It gets packed. Wheelchair accessibility: Would like a few more spaces. Has an older crowd.

The mixed drinks from the bar area were fabulous. Our server there was personality plus -- clever and fun to interact with. Then we moved to our reserved seats. It was miserably cold throughout the evening -- not only for the women but also the men. Anyone lucky enough to have worn a winter coat wore it the entire evening, The salad was excellent. My fish filet with lump crabmeat and butter sauce wasnt flavorful and as someone used to very fresh fish, I was not impressed by the texture. My husbands beef file (not mignon) while small, was flavorful. We dont usually like carrot cake, but this was exactly what a carrot cake should be. Moist with a cream cheese icing that was more fluffy than the more typically thick in texture served in most restaurants. The creamed corn was delicious and the garlic mashed potatoes were good, but the green beans were mediocre. Honestly, the meat locker temperature, which we were told was typical, made this an altogether unacceptable experience.

Unfortunately this will be our last visit to Killens steakhouse and frankly they have lost a customer for all of his restaurants. We were treated poorly and food standards were lowered just for us by the staff in retaliation in my opinion. We ve been to Killen s 4 times..this time especially, was really nothing to write home about. Wagyu ribeye was underwhelming. Shrimp cocktail was 5 or 6 jumbo shrimp, can t recall exactly, but they had kind of a yucky film on them and came with barely enough cocktail sauce. French Onion soup needed salt, yet this is one of those restaurants where salt/pepper is up to the chef s discretion, as there was none on the table. Service was okay, but not at all what I d expect for the price point. Our server seemed inexperienced, she didn t even know that Gin/tonic is served with lime. She didn t forget, she just didn t know. There was about a 25 minute lapse between our apps/salads being cleared, and our entrees being served. We were never offered or served any bread. I think maybe you get better servers/service in the dining room, seems like the service in the bar is not as good. The whole restaurant was lit up too bright..dimmed lighting would have made for better ambience. Also, I thought they had a dress code, but apparently not. Maybe the hostess isn t assertive enough to enforce it, who knows..maybe they just can t be too choosy. People dress like slobs anymore.. which again, I don t expect at that price point. Women in crop tops with rolls on display and acid washed jeans, etc. These are the same ppl that wear their pajamas to fly. The whole experience was pretty much a mediocre, pricey disappointment.

Enjoyed a perfect evening at Killen s Steak house with the family. Emmett waited on us. We d most certainly recommend him, and ask for him again in the future. He was personable, knowledgeable about the menu, and made sure we had a great experience dining there. During our meal the timing was good, the table stayed clean, plates were cleared and water was full at all times. The staff make sure the customer experience was above and beyond. The food was exceptional with a menu featuring both wet and dry aged steaks cooked to perfection, & amazing sides. I d highly recommend the potato side with the fried egg on top! The thinly sliced potatoes, perfectly seasoned and crisp in its pan with bacon and onion was a delicious addition to our meal. The sprouts were excellent too, as well as the bone marrow shepherds pie appetizer and shrimp cocktail. They were all good choices. I m convinced one really can t go wrong here. The wine (had the Merlot) was great. I would also highly recommend having a cocktail here. The drink menu is extensive and there were several cocktails I would have loved to try. For this time, an espresso martini was in order. Killen s twist on it (with cream and condensed milk Vietnamese style) was preferable to the traditional version most other restaurants make. Definitely get dessert here. The chocolate cheesecake was amazing and big enough to share. On the menu there really was something for everyone. Overall, every dish was perfectly cooked, the food and drinks were absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was lovely-an upscale place without being stuffy or snobbish. It s pretty at Christmas and would be a wonderful choice for a holiday gathering. While, the restaurant isn t small, it still manages to give the customers, a cozy, individualized feel with top notch service. If it were a test, they d get a 100%.

I had the pleasure of having a meal at Killens Steakhouse while I was in the area to celebrate a friends birthday. Our group of 6 was seated promptly and were immediately greeted by our waiter who proceeded to go over all of the specials with us. Throughout the evening our drinks were constantly kept full and at no point did we go without great service. The food itself was outstanding. Between the six of us we had several different appetizers and entrees, each with a different side. It was all prepared perfectly and had a great taste to it. Though the restaurant is expensive, the experience was worth the price and should definitely be considered if you are looking to have a celebratory dinner.

Stepping into Killens Steakhouse is like entering a world where impeccable service and culinary excellence are the standard. Lets talk about the main event: the NY Strip Wagyu flight. This wasnt just dinner; it was a masterclass in steak perfection. Each bite of the Wagyu was a melt-in-your-mouth experience, rich with flavor that can only be described as a symphony for the senses. The mashed potatoes on the side? Creamy, dreamy, and the perfect wingman to the steaks show-stopping performance. My wife and I shared this feast, and let me tell you, it was a delicious endeavor that left no room for anything else. The phrase Im stuffed doesnt quite cover it we were practically ready to roll out of there! And the cheesecake, oh, the cheesecake! It was a slice of heaven, so good that it could make a grown man weep with joy. It was the ideal finale to an already stunning meal. Now, a high five to our server, who was absolutely on point. Attentive without being intrusive, he navigated our dining experience with the grace of a seasoned pro, always there when we needed him and ensuring our evening was nothing short of exceptional. Hats off to Killens Steakhouse for an unforgettable dining adventure.

If youre looking for a great night out or an elegant evening dinner, this is definitely the place to choose. They have a complimentary valet (at least during the week). The food and service are great! The only reason I gave the atmosphere a 4-star review is because the dining room has an intimate, soft dinner vibe, but once the dining room filled about half of the tables, it got loud. It was difficult to talk to across the table loud. So I gave it a 4-star because I didnt feel the vibe matched the experience/expectations. Outside of that, our server was knowledgeable, food met expectations, and we enjoyed our dinner.

We had reservations for my husbands birthday, and the service was great, the drinks were great. The food was just okay. I thought the restaurant was comparable to Mastros or Steak 48, but I was wrong. The steak was bland, the snapper was bland and drowned in some creamed sauce, a bit too much. The crab cake appetizer was amazing but the food was not worthy of 300 dollars tab.

Let me start by saying that the service and atmosphere here is very good, but that s not what brings you back. The food is what makes you want to come back, and unfortunately, for me, I will not be returning anytime soon. I ordered a dry aged steak, asked for medium, but it was a little over cooked and quite chewy. Flavor was not flattering at all. My wife ordered their regular wet aged filet mignon, medium, and I thought it was decent. The appetizers we ordered were bacon wrapped scallops and they were overcooked and chewy, a bit dry. We also ordered the pork belly and this was also very chewy and nothing special. Lastly, we ordered their crème brûlée bread pudding, and there was nothing crème brûlée or pudding about it. It was basically just a raisin bread with a little sauce on it. I will say the old fashioned and carajillo I drank were quite delicious, but that s not bringing me back. Overall, we spent $300 for dinner for two and it was nowhere near worth it.

Dont waste your money. I dont mind going to expensive restaurants if the food is good, but this was garbage. How could all 5 people at our table not like their food? They even ran out of bread. We waited 20 minutes for a table and the place was empty. Go to Pappas Steak House for the best steaks and service.

The wagyu ribeye steak was still very good although it was over cooked and i ordered medium rare+ but it came out medium+, Another in our party steak was overcooked as well. The crab cakes were best we ever had. Now I have to post. and reason I only gave low star rating is because I got food poisoning a few hours after we left and it had to be the lobster bisque which was the only thing I ate no one else did in our group of 5 and we were all sharing food. I will be back again and re-review this year.

Amazing service and superb food. I had pork belly as an appetizer, a strawberry goat cheese and spinach salad and then a special - the gumbo. I was not a fan of the mussels in the gumbo, but it was still five star delicious. We ended the meal with the butter toffee brownie that had edible gold on top! (Who does that!? ). I look forward to my next opportunity to dine at Killens Steakhouse.

We have been visiting this steakhouse for 6+ years. We visited for the first time in a long time this past weekend, so I felt compelled to update my last review. The food was terrific and on par with past visits. The seared ahi tuna and filet were both on point. As far as the sides, we enjoyed the brussel sprouts and the au gratin potatoes. Bar service was good, and liquor pours were generous. The waiter service was unfortunately sub-par. In saying that, weve had some amazing waiters over the years, but not so much on this last visit. It took 10 minutes before we were even greeted! At least send someone to get us some drinks. We still tipped appropriately, but it needs to be documented that there should be zero times where this happens at a steakhouse like Killens. All in all, we will be back and still the best steakhouse option in Pearland. Kid-friendliness: They do accommodate children and families

Killens is touted as one of the best steakhouses in Texas. I would hate to disagree, but Ive had better (steaks). The crabcake starters were filled with Texas blue crab meat & were absolutely delish, & the fried asparagus was good, but I didnt care for the fried (red) tomatoes. The wedge salad was yummy with freshly made blue cheese dressing & maple bacon. For the main course, I had a petit filet (med rare), that came with family style sides of mashed potatoes, green beans, creamed corn topped with melted mozzarella & one other side. The filet was hot, and well-seared on the outside, and perfectly medium rare inside. However, it didnt really have a great flavor inside. Tasted like no seasoning was used at all, not even garlic butter which I was expecting. The only item I really enjoyed at dinner was the creamed corn. It was perfectly incredible. Then, there was carrot cake for dessert that was given to us to take home. Odd! Also, there was no bread with appetizers or salad, which I also thought was strange. Finally, I had valet parked, and had no change, so I wasnt going to tip the valet, but he kind of hit me up to tip him & wouldnt let go of my door till I did. Ridiculous. Overall, Im glad I went, & that someone else paid, as I wont be going back.

My wife and I went here for dinner on her birthday to try somewhere new. First the parking is plentiful with complimentary valet parking. The building doesnt look like much and is situated in an older part of Pearland exactly where you would NOT expect a fine restaurant to be. Upon entering the atmosphere is generally quiet but not as intimate as one might expect. Our server was informative, polite and friendly but at times felt rushed. He explained the difference between wet aged, dry aged and wagyu beef and allowed us time to look at the drink menu. Now if youre expecting traditional cocktails you wont find them here. Im sure you can order anything but all of the drinks included things we had never heard of. To be fair, were not huge drinkers, but I was a little overwhelmed trying to choose a drink. We ended up getting a bottle of wine instead because we knew for sure what that was. Our server suggested a dry aged strip steak appetizer to see if we would like the dry aged beef. This was amazing! I ended up ordering the wedge salad and the dry aged ribeye steak and my wife got some special Japanese Wagyu filet that was not on the menu. Our wedge salads were very good but not as good as weve had elsewhere. My ribeye was absolutely delicious. I ordered it medium rare and it was cooked to perfection with a nice slightly charred and crispy exterior and warm and juicy middle. My wifes filet was very tender but was overly salty and frankly not what we expected for a $100 piece of meat. We arent complainers so we didnt send it back (however we probably should have). We got the creme brulee and creme brulee cheesecake for dessert which were both excellent. I would definitely put Killens a step above other fine steakhouses in Houston but Im not sure it was worth the $500 bill at the end. Oh a side note, the bathrooms were out of this world.

We went there for dinner on a Saturday night and it was not busy. The food, we got a lemon drop martini which was very well made and delicious, and then started with the jumbo crab cake appetizer. Just perfect for the 2 of us. I was in love and could just eat that for lunch for the rest of my life. For the main entree I got the rosewood waygu filet mignon and my friend got the rosewood waygu ribeye steak - both cooked medium rare. Mine was very yummy but also extremely salty, so if youre not a fan of salt, do not order this steak. Luckily I am and I devoured it. My best friend loved her steak too, but I didnt try it. Our sides were the potatoes au gratin (I liked them but she said they were kinda plain bc she could taste the potatoes lol) and lobster Mac and cheese (I dont care for lobster but I actually really liked these). We didnt order desert bc our waiter disappeared for like 20-30 minutes at the end of our meal. Service - they try to upsell you on everything, dont be afraid to say no. I was kinda frustrated bc our waiter kept explaining things to us we already know and double questioning us (temp of steak, choice of drink, etc), and then he disappeared? You will get water filled by the guy filling it, who is covered in sweat and youll see him working and never sitting, carrying the water everywhere. Two hostesses gaze down upon the tables like overlords (or vultures) even when they have no tables to seat. Overall its a very odd dynamic. The restaurant - looks like a regular older restaurant, you wouldnt have guessed it to be the expensive place it is by peeking inside. Normal tables and chairs, flooring/carpet looks old and in need of a cleaning. And the decor/ambiance was probably all the rave in the 90s but idk if the owner knows that was 30+ years ago? The bathroom, however, was very clean and oddly enough smelled really really good (I dont think Ive ever said that in a review haha) but the picture in there is creepy/odd Kid-friendliness: Not really a place for kids, doubt there is even a kid menu

Celebrated my girlfriends birthday yesterday. I had the ($68) 16oz wet-aged ribeye cooked medium. I was surprised that although the steak had the expected blush, it was dry. I was also disappointed in the volume of the cappuccino which filled less than 1/3 of the cups. In addition even though we were celebrating a birthday, they still charged us for dessert, which is complimentary at most restaurants.

It is one of the best steakhouses in the Houston area. Be prepared to drop ~$100 to $150 per person if you do a full course non-wagyu meat meal with drinks with the ability to spend much more. But it is completely worth the price and trip to Pearland for a special occasion. Outside of the wagyu steaks, my personal favorite meal is the 8 oz wet aged filet, creme corn and the creme bruele for desert.

I have eaten here three times since December. The first visit we were guests and definitely 5 . The second time we took guests, and due to items on menu not in stock and drinks on menu without ingredients in stock, overall a 4 experience. The third time was down due to the hostess and waiter we had. My mother in law had recent knee replacement. I requested a table on bar floor with resrervation,as she was still struggling with a cane. When we checked in, she said there would be no tables used that evening on the bar floor. She seated us down the ramp and at the farthest table near the kitchen. When we left 60% plus of the bar level tables were full. Again, item on drink list not available, waiter said it was and came back to tell us no. Wife told waiter to bring her soup and salad at same time with the entrees. All of us received entrees and she received salad with no soup. When she asked about soup, he said he told her he would bring it after the salad. No liar, all four of us heard her request and instead of apologizing, covered yourself with a lie. Food was solid but service 1 between lie and making a 70yr old on a cane walk so far that sure seemed like a lie as well when we left.

Service was beyond knowledgeable and intimate with the offerings. We started with a couple of #appetizers consisting of veal tartare and crab cakes. Both were great, but the tartare was in particular amazing! Perfect consistency, freshness, and flavor. Almost as good as my memories of @anthonybourdain s at #leshalles in #nyc . I ordered the dry aged #ribeye which came at the request temp and was absolutely divine! The #lobstermacncheese and #brusselsprouts were also incredible. Brussel sprouts were charred perfectly and tossed with beautiful pieces of hearty bacon. The lobster mac was perfectly creamy and flavored with satisfying chunks of decadent lobster. Really couldnt ask for more and didnt. No roo. For dessert which is how it should be!

My experience and opinion is different to the common opinions of Brazoria county residents that have told me to eat here, but to say it straight forward - it s NOT good. There are much better fine dining food choices in Houston that are worth the price point. My partner and I came here with high hopes and the food did not meet our expectations. The New York strip had seasoning that overwhelmed (just didn t pair well at all) the tasted of the meat and was chewy for medium rare. I ordered the Chicken Frances and it was just OKAY- which I have higher expectations from a steakhouse. The Grilled Jumbo Aspargus was AWFUL.. selling soggy bland asparagus at a steakhouse, yet alone for $12 is despicable. My alcoholic beverage was great and our server was incredible. They have great service! The entrees served here do not match with the price point. The food is not good and you re better off driving further up to Houston for fine dining if you re coming from BC.

Overall good experience except the time it took for our drinks and food to arrive after ordering was incredibly long. Our drinks alone took 20 minutes to arrive and the steaks took over an hour so part of our party had to leave before getting their food to relieve the babysitter. We wish we would have known the kitchen would take that long and we would ve ordered first thing when we sat down. Steaks should not take that long to cook! Also the beet salad only had a few tiny slices of beets and a few leaves of arugula. The staff was nice but the service time was far too long. We arrived at 7 and ordered after getting drinks and didn t get our food until 9pm. This needs improvement or the staff needs to inform the patrons of the long prep time so they can plan accordingly. A typical restaurant is 20 mins to prepare food. We were disappointed to have to bring half the food out in a to go box for the people who left early for such an expensive meal.
