First time visit in over a year. Big mistake! Ordered a cup of tortilla soup that came out so cold it was inedible . We ordered The Grande and it too, was lukewarm. Not once were we asked if there was a problem, even after observing the lack of consumption of the meal! Very disappointing and we do not plan to return.

UPDATE Aug 2024: WOW! Its been forever since we ate here. A birthday discount on meal by being a loyalty club member is another motivation. We got seated right away as not many patrons inside for Sat lunch. Carlos was our waiter and did a great job. Especially when the Abuelos app wasnt working so he took a paper copy of email with discount price and fixed it. Also when he learned of birthday girl present we got Flan as dessert for free. Shush dont tell anyone. We got two different combo meals and had plenty for leftovers. Meals come with refried beans but they have others if you want something different. 2022: I think the last time here was so long ago I wasnt a Yelp contributor. So much competition in Collin county for ones food $$$. Great meal and better conversation with in-laws. They had a note of front door about their labor shortage so I understand the longer than usual wait for food. Order taking and so forth and bowl of chips were done right away.

The food was pretty good but the prices are way out of line . I remember when this place was full for lunch and dinner but with the economy and inflation, shrink-flation and the overpriced food, and beer at 8.25 for a small glass it is easy to see why the place had so few people in it. Quit being greedy and trying to soak everyone for all you can, and maybe the place will be full of people again, but you wont be seeing me again!!!.. SAFE TRAVELS TO ALL!!

Ive eaten at the Abuelos in Bedford but this one didnt seem to hold to the same food quality standard as that one. I ordered the Steak & Enchiladas and the whole experience was just ho-hum. The steak was practically tasteless. Even the enchiladas lacked in flavor. The chips & salsa were the only things that seemed just as good. This probably wont be my last visit to Abuelos but it may be my last visit to this location.

We had lunch at Abuelo s on a hot summer day and were pretty impressed by the ambience, food and quality. We tried veggies enchiladas, Australian sea bass, trio fajita sampler and sides. Each dish comes with lots of sides. They give you complementary tortilla chips and three different salsas, the green one was my favorite. The inside gives somewhat Vegas vibes. They have a separate vegetarian/vegan menu as well.

Last visit will be my last for a while. Food was tepid on a hot plate. Server was inattentive to the point of empty glasses even after refills requested. I asked for no lettuce or tomato, nothing green or red, on my plate but there it was (I have baggage that goes with my picky eating) but the waitress comment was I dont think thats really lettuce its some other kind of garnish. I will give them a couple of years to regain their food quality as well as go back to putting customers first.

The staff was AWESOME from the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the two friendly hostesses. (they even provided me with extra crayon colors for our daughter) Our server, Christian was great. Super attentive to our table, always with a smile. He even recommend our dish that we had and it was delicious. Towards the end of our visit, we were greeted by a supervisor on duty, a lady to check in with how everything was, and was the final touch that sold us over. Wow! The atmosphere of this restaurant is so beautiful. The service was great and the food was amazing. Starting with the atmosphere, there is a beautiful mural on the back wall, statues throughout the restaurant, ambient lighting and large beautiful plants. The service was friendly and professional with great recommendations when we asked. The food was so delicious!! We got the Avocado Enchiladas and the Steak Quesadilla. For dessert, we got the Flan and the Tres Leches cheesecake. The whole experience was amazing and memorable. We will be visiting again!

They offer you a 20% off the ENTIRE CHECK (no fine print nowhere) as an appreciation for teachers, again, the ENTIRE CHECK (see the pictures attached). When I reviewed the charge the numbers didn t match, so I demanded an explanation. They said they do not apply such a 20% off over the margaritas, despite the offer, as I ve said above, is 20% off the ENTIRE CHECK. Never again. Love coming here. Their regular queso is ok but their Diablo Queso is delicious (contrary to the name its not very spicy)! Wife always tries something different and always enjoys her food. I always get the chimi, sometimes they dont put enough queso ontop but they usually dont have an issue to bring a little bit more so that its covered. (They did try to charge me extra for it once but the mgr took it off). For a $22 chimi it shouldnt be a hassle.

First thing you are blown away by is the atmosphere inside Abuelos. They have a bright sky canopy that makes you feel like you are sitting in an open area, kinda like the great hall in Hogwarts. The person who served us (I hate myself tor not being able to recall his name) was very nice too. He offered us a good choice for the price and quantity we wanted. The Pechuga com Calabaza is a must have. The chicken Tampiquena was also presented well. The quantities were decent and when we had a bit of sauce and gravy left the waiter offered us a set of 3 tortillas for 0.99$ to scoop it up. Felt good to not waste any good. Only flip side was a lack of choice for house cerveza. But I wasnt there for beer that so I let it pass. Will go again and again as I need to try the fish and shrimp next.

Nice restaurant serving good Mexican food. Tried enchilada, chimichanga and a prawn appetizer. Everything was good came with ample of sides. Enchilada with those steamed veggie were delicious . For the food quality the price matched perfectly . They have a good vegetarian options to choose from .

The restaurant was nearly empty for a weekday lunch yet the waiter was alway preoccupied, indicating a need for more staffing. Other than that, the dip sampler and Durango burrito were ok.

Typically, I like Abuelos. This one was kinda meh. The regular nachos had more than 2,000 calories, so I got the veggie ones as they were like 1/3 the calories. The veggies were lettuce and pico de gallo. It was corn chips with cheese. Not very good. I was with a big group. However, the service was lackluster. One in my group had gluten allergies & even the chicken had breading on it. She looked for something to eat for a good half hour. The manager came over and was no help either. Kept having to ask for water refills. The skinny margarita was good. There was a parking space right up front when I got there. It was a weeknight and there were plenty of tables available as well.

Horrible service!! hostess was rude when we first walked in. I called ahead of time and was told there was no wait time!! When I got there you could tell they wanted us to leave.The hostess said it was more then an hr wait due to having a big party and even then it had to be approved by the manager . I ve never heard a restaurant that didn t take big parties lol.We waited over an hr and the whole time there was 2 empty big table, we ended up leaving before getting seated Guess they didn t want our business

We have been here NUMEROUS times over the last 15+ years and have never had such an absolutely HORRIBLE experience as tonight. First, I would like to note that our waitress was commendable and kind in dealing with the ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE of an experience we had due to the kitchen losing our order and taking an HOUR to remake it and get it out to us. And then, (again not due to our waitress s fault) the food looked like it had been just slapped on the plate- missing parts and as if the kitchen didn t care at all that we had patiently waited a WHOLE HOUR for this food. RIDICULOUS!

I always enjoy the ambience at Abuelos! I dined here with a group from work. I ordered the Fajita Salad with steak and it was delicious! I will definitely visit again sometime!

We had lunch here and were very impressed by the ambience, service, and food quantity! The waiter Mike was very polite and attentive! The price was reasonable and portion size was huge! We will definitely be going again. We bought a $50 gift card but they charged me $3 as packaging fee !! This was outrageous! They did not do any packing !! I felt cheated - that s why I am not giving 5 stars! I am charging them one star for writing a review! Edit: I went there again today for lunch. The vegetables in their quesadilla and fajitas were straight out of the California blend frozen bag - cauliflower, zucchini, carrots, and broccoli. Nothing Mexican about this. With the chips/salsa, our waiter Jordan asked if we d like queso and we said ok. But was surprised to see an additional $10 on our bill for this! I wish we had been told it would be charged! I also do not like the packaging charge for a to-go order!

The food is really great here. But what I love the most is there, El jefe margarita it is my favorite item that I must get every time I go here. The service was a little slow which is strange because there is no one else in the restaurant. if you re looking for a place that s quicken and Quick out I would not go here. However, if you have a few hours to kill and this is the place to eat.
