I use to get my pizza from a national chain headquartered in Plano but the pizzas quality were inconsistent . I finally called it quit when corporate told me my expectations were too high. I tried Marinara and kicked myself for waiting so long. Ingredients are much higher quality, taste is great and service was outstanding. They have many unique combinations that I never would have thought of using on a pizza. I will definitely order from them again.

Not even close to best in plano paid 78$ for 3 pizzas. Id say we hate about 3 slices each before throwing it away, quite literally I was throwing my money away after this horrible experience I wont be back. I highly advise this place to start serving adequate portions and better quality for the crazy amount being charged.

A typical pizzeria. Apparently owners have Portuguese background but Italian(?). Pizza slice was not exciting. I had made them to make custom. Spinach and Mushroom. So they put spinach and mushroom on top of both slices. They were running out of slices and told me they can not give me two slices but just one, unless I order three. I also ordered Garlic knots. Now they were a steal for $3 and some change for 6 knots. Those knots were big. For anyone looking for Portuguese drink/soda Guarana, they have it. The serving boys at the counter were very helpful. 06/22/24 - Went again and ordered a chicken Parmesan on a sub. Good. Fresh. Lotsa cheese and special sauce. Tasty. Somewhat reminded me of NYC. Parking: Lots of parking outside Kid-friendliness: Anyone welcome to eat food in any attire. Wheelchair accessibility: Enough room inside to bring a wheel chair.

This pizza was awesome! I went in just knowing I wanted some good pizza but unsure of which to get. And I wanted to try a Brazilian for the first time. This beautiful young lady, Petra, helped ease my indecision. She told me all the best recommendations based on what I liked. I ended up getting a half Brazilian (chicken w/a cheese sauce) and half Magherita. It was perfect and so glad she helped. Definitely will be going back. Well worth it.

I grew up in Brooklyn, NY and when I moved to Texas one of the things I missed was good tasting pizza in fact whenever I visited NY I always ate pizza and if I had room in my bag I would bring back couple of slices.. I don t have to bring back pizza from NY ANYMORE.. this pizzeria has definitely captured the local pizza taste of Brooklyn especially when it s extra crispy/well done! Try it if you like authentic Brooklyn pizza.

We happened upon Marinara one day and have never looked back. They have the best pizza I have ever eaten and their prices are amazing. The drivers are extremely friendly and polite. HOW in the world have I not reviewed this place yet? We order delivery from here 2-3 times a month at least (hey dont judge me - their pizza is really that good). Their food is always high quality, delicious and consistent, and their delivery driver is so nice. Our favorite dish is - you guessed it - their pizza (thin crust, zesty, garlicky marinara, tons of melted cheesy goodness, and ultra fresh toppings), but dont sleep on their pasta dishes either. Amazing portions and quality for the price and ALWAYS so good!

Placed delivery order at 6:25pm. Contacted the store at 7:30pm to inquire where the delivery was as we had not received our food yet. Was told that our order was out the door and on the way. Placed another call at 8:00pm to the store as food was still not delivered and was told the food was now coming out of the oven and would be there soon. If they were honest on the first call and explained they were busy we wouldve understood. Alas, we will not order from this place again.

Placed an order around 650 pm on a Friday night. The guy who took my order over the phone wasn t patient. This is my first time and didn t know what was good or if they had specials. He kept putting me on hold if I asked about a certain thing on the menu. I get it. It s probably busy but customer service can take me a long way. He never got my apt number so an hour later my driver calls for my info. She was pleasant. Delivery was smooth. She was kind. Food was hot. The garlic knots are so tasteless. I was very disappointed in them. Pizza was a medium pepperoni. I was basic. But it was a huge pizza to be medium. Still wondering if he charged me for a large. I had the breaded chicken parm and that was 9\10. It was so good. Juicy not dry at all not soggy. It was great. The sauce was a bit runny but I liked the dish. Strawberry cheesecake could tell it was previously frozen. The middle was like a frozen yogurt but it was good. My total for everything including delivery was 38.XX. Not bad at all. We still have plenty of leftover from a family of 4. Idk if I d get pizza from here again. Maybe the pasta only. And I ll def order online next time.

We got a large half Margherita and Half Chicken Parm Pizza with Light cheese on one half that we requested. For once, It was actually light cheese, perfect blend of veggies or meat. Marinara Pizza has a very good pizza, toppings are generous, especially Brazilian style ones. But I always pick up and eat home. Atmosphere is not good, its dark and dusty. Table service takes a bit long even when theres like 2 tables being served only. I very much like the flavor though, it reminds me home.

I tried a half/half pizza with both the NY and Brazilian styles and was thoroughly impressed. The cheese is good quality and the Brazilian pizza had a ton of chicken on it. The price is pretty typical, its more affordable than an artisanal pizza joint, but more expensive than one of the pizza chains like dominos/pizza hut/etc. Given the variety of flavor and the impressive quality, Id say its worth the extra few bucks. Bonus points for that nostalgic old-pizza smell when walking in to pickup my order.

I ordered a gluten free deluxe pizza with ricotta. I was shock in how big the pizza was. Most places that do gluten free, its a baby pizza (small). This was 14. I ve now came to Marinaras since I ve relocated in Richardson Tx and have stayed loyal to them since. From a fellow yankee to another including local Texans this is exactly what NY pizza taste like from home each bite is a hit of deja vu. I m giving at least one star because the pizza is actually amazing. When we first moved to Plano, we discovered this gem and it was where we ordered often. The past six months it s gone downhill for delivery. The arrival ETA will say about 45min, but it will actually lean more toward an hour and a half recently. I understand everyone is understaffed. Believe me, I m in an industry where we feel it too. However, customer service at Marinara has dropped significantly. We ordered two pizzas at 6:27pm to be delivered around 7:12p. Once 7:35p rolled around we gave the store a call to see what was going on. No answer. Called back. Store asked us to go on hold (after ringing awhile again) and we were on hold over five minutes. Called back and when he picked up and asked if I could hold, I responded I ve been on hold and I m trying to find out if you guys have sent my pizza out for delivery. He asked our address, seemed confused, then mentioned being swamped, and I was told give me one minute. Six more minutes on hold. At this point it was nearing 8p and we were hungry. I hung up, called again, and he did not know where our pizza was (from what I could sense, it had not even been made yet). I asked him to refund me and he did apologize and said he d send my cell a screenshot of the almost $50 refund receipt for our food. That was sent at 9:43pm. If the store cannot handle demand, please stop taking orders and creating an expectation. We would understand, this economy is tough . Also, just be honest and if you haven t yet made the pizza or you know it will be hours, tell us instead of putting us on hold and wasting our time when we are just trying to eat dinner. We loved your product, but we will no longer be purchasing from you based on this experience. Your service has continued to lose quality and I hope in the future it improves again.

We ve ordered pizza here several times and it s always been very good. Nothing lasts forever ! Management needs to talk to this pizza maker of ours. Marinara sauce: almost invisible and smeared on so light, it disappeared from sight. The Supreme Pizza was more like a go light on everything but the black olives and green peppers . Small width onions that were hardly visible - maybe a 4 strands. It was just a huge disappointment from past experiences.

So I decided to take my family here. It was completely dead. We place our order and ordered fountain drinks. My daughter kept saying all the drinks tasted weird. As I went forth coca cola I see film hanging from the spout. I removed it and let the guy know. I wish I took a picture bit it was disappointing. I asked for can drinks and he allowed it. We ordered knots, pep. Pizza, baked ziti, and chix parm with meat sauce. The knots were drowned in herbs. The pizza was fresh and was actually pretty good. Baked ziti was rigatoni pasta,also decent, but for a place called marinara it seems a bit underwhelming. Also the pizza boxes were store on the floor...

I would give them 10 stars. I ve only found 2 places that actually have NY pizza. One is Mimi s in Dallas and the other is Marinara in Plano. After trying ever NY pizza place all others fail to actually deliver NY pizza. My first trip to marinara I got the eggplant parm. I ve had almost every one in the area and reviewed most but the only place that actually tastes like Italian eggplant is Marinara. The others are decent imitations but Marinara is the real deal. The people are nice the place is nice. The delivery is excellent. I can t recommend this place enough. The only thing I recommend is that they add an eggplant parm sub to the menu. That would make the place absolutely perfect I d probably order it every day.

Holy smokes! This is really a hidden gem and soooo worth the hour drive it took to get here. We ordered from the Brazilian menu, chicken with catupiry and the Portuguesa... DELICIOUS!!! Do not eat here. We ordered 2 calzone a meatball sub and some pasta and pick up was 717pm. Got there and was waiting in the parking lot. 5 minutes before pick up was called told they didnt have sub bread. Said thats fine change the sub to spaghetti and meatballs. My husband went in to wait since they said it would be another 5 minute. He waited another 10 to watch the guy drop our calzone on the floor and put it bake in the oven like nothing happened. When confronted the girl there got an attitude and said whatever. Asked for money back and order to be canceled. She said she took that calzone off and that we could get the rest of or food. When we said no cancel the whole order she started cussing and then said well your not gonna get the order. We said thats fine i would like a receipt showing the order was canceled she started throwing paper and cussing again.

Been meaning to try this place for a while and finally decided to give it a go. Its good, but not great. We ordered a cheese pizza and a supreme-type pizza. The flavor and cheese were good, but the crust seemed a little too hard. Not sure if it was just cooked a little too long or its just the dough they use. Toppings didnt seem to be overcooked, so maybe its just the dough. Also, they left a lot of crust/edge. Normally, I wouldnt complain about that because I like the crust, but since it was not so soft, eh. Almost makes me think theyre just saving money by putting less stuff on. The price is not cheap, which is to be expected, this is not your typically chain pizza joint. But for the price, Im not sure I liked it enough to go again. Maybe Ill give it another try, not sure. I ordered to go, but its not big inside, several tables, but I imagine it could get crowded if theyre busy. I went a little late so only one table of folks.

For years and years we been going here for high quality Italian food. This place never disappoints, even late at night. Pizza is true NY style and folds well. Stromboli and lasagna delicious favorites too. If I were to suggest changing anything about this place, it would be the old fashioned drink machine with just 6 options. Chicken parmesan is insanely good and large enough to share. They also have my favorite garlic knots/bread of any place in the area. Its a quality meal at a good price and Ive found over the last few years theyre very consistent in the quality. Its also one of the few Italian restaurants that I like the food to go almost as much as I like it in the restaurant. Italian food tends to suffer the most from the time it takes to transport it home but this one seems to travel the best for some reason.

Pizza delivery was over a half hour late we called go no explanation. Delivery person of course spoke little english seems always the case with mexicans. They pretend not to understand but they do. Salad had a weird smell we threw it out! All for $27.00.

Is an 8hr drive too much for dinner? Stop in for dinner while driving through from Galveston to Kansas City. Ordered pizza for the kids and pasta dishes for the adults. All very reasonably priced for a family dinner. Once the food arrived we would have gladly paid twice the price, better food than many high end Italian restaurants for a fraction of the cost.

competitive prices, great pizza. Owner is super nice and the whole shop feels cozy and classic. My dad and I got a white pizza and a margarita pizza which was $40 for two 18 pizzas with a 20% tip. The New York style crust is authentic and very even which created a great balance of toppings and crust. The only change I would make would be to add a small 5 or 8 flavor soda machines to really complete the experience. Wish I got any photos but we dug right in.
