Visited here from out of town. Very interesting place with gators in the small lake beside it. One order was for Fireball Chicken but someone forgot the fire! Another order was flounder with crawfish etouffee for $27.00 The Flounder was luke warm and the size of your palm with a spoonful of etouffee. The other two orders of fried shrimp and fries seemed to be the best so perhaps this restaurant should stick to that type of menu. Our waitress was excellent.

Went with a cousin in a wheelchair and they made great effort to accommodate us a table (most available tables were bar height). Food was excellent and service was good. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp to get onto the outdoor dining porch and an elevator to get up to the main dining room. They were very helpful.

Brianna was our waitress & she BEYOND AMAZING. She was extremely happy and attentive aside from her being busy. Our food was exactly what we asked for. She had a smile on her face at all times, even when she was away from tables. Definitely ask for her by name from here on out!!

Great place but server really struggled. Im still rating it a 5 because its a great place to eat and enjoy yourself. I was shocked to learn you cant order from the bar if youre seated at a table. It took the server 30 minutes to realize if forgot my drink. He continued to struggle thru the night. I hope he was just having a bad night.

Havent been in a few years due to extenuating circumstances. Although it was very hot, there were large fans and ceiling fans working to keep us comfortable. Had a long wait time but, it was Sunday at 2 so, it was expected. We chose to sit outside on the deck. Once we were seated, our waiter greeted us promptly and took our drink orders and they arrived quickly. After he took our food orders, it seemed like mere seconds before he was back with our food!! The catfish was very flavorful and delicious! You cant go wrong with the catfish, ever! The sides were good. The side salad was very fresh and crisp, cole slaw was not drenched in dressing, potato salad was creamy and seasoned perfectly and the hushpuppies were so good. Nothing was over/under cooked. And if you need a drink to cool off with, try the Bayou Sunset!! It was so good I had 2!! Parking: Parking lot fills up quickly and then you have to use the second lot or the street.

This was our second time and we really enjoyed the atmosphere here. It is so peaceful and by the water. We love the fried green tomatoes, catfish bites, hush puppies, and firecracker chicken. The food was amazing, our first visit, but it could have been better on Sunday evening. The fried food tasted like the grease was old. We know sometimes there is off days and we definitely plan on returning.

Ive heard a lot of good things about it and have been wanting to try it for a few years and we finally made it!!! I have to start with the ambience and views! I cant say enough about the Pine Tree Lodge! Its nestled in a bend in a little bayou with old Cypress trees and Cypress knees. There are Lilly Pads floating in front of the Cypress and along the banks and bend in the nation and I can hear CCRs Green River playing in my head!!! Also the Alligators, Soft Shell Turtles, along with Red Eared Turtles and the occasional Alligator Gar swimming by! The restaurant is bullheaded on the edge of the bayou along with decking and tables at the waterside where you can watch the aquatic life while you dine!!! Our 8 year old was adamant we had a waterside table although it was a little breezy, the weather was overcast and the temps were just right!!! Our waitress whose name was Brayley was on top of her game and was promptly at the table once we were seated for our drink orders!! I started with a margarita and an ice water with lemon. My wife just had water, and our 8 year old had a Coke. She came back with our drinks and took our appetizer order of the Gator Bites with Hush puppies and an order of Onion Strings. It wasnt long when she returned with our orders while we were enjoying the scenery. The Gator Bites came with a Roumalade sauce that was very good! The Onion Strings came with a plain Ranch dip and also a spicy ranch! Both were very tasty!!! Our 8 year old really enjoyed the Gator Bites and we enjoyed both!!! Our waitress gave us time to work toward the end of our appetizers before she came back to take our dinner orders. Our 8 year old ordered the childs plate of catfish and fries. My wife ordered a combo of Grilled Shrimp and Fried Oysters and a side salad. I will say here that I didnt know where they got their pickled okra for the salads, but they were some of the best Ive ever tasted! My wife offered me one to try and Im glad I did!!! I also ordered the Combo with Fried shrimp and Fried Oysters with two sides of potato salad and Red Beans and rice. Everything we had was absolutely delicious!!! The red beans and rice were excellent as was the potato salad! I think I make a very good potato salad, but there was something about theirs that was just unique and it had a very good taste!!! My wife found out they had Oyster Shooters and we remembered the days when her dad would come down to where we used to live by Galveston Bay and we would make around of hitting all the good seafood places that had oysters on the half shell. One of the places we took him that looked out over the Bay had Oyster Shooters and we tried them. They are basically a raw oyster in a shot glass with a Bloody Mary poured over it! We loved them and would always hit that place on our rounds. We havent done them since he passed 4 years ago so she ordered us a couple of their Oyster Shooters from here!!! Youll have to ask them to add the vodka here though and it is extra, but worth it! All in all we just had a really great experience here at the Pine Tree Lodge and we Loved our Waitress Brayley, I hope I spelled her name right! We went during the day. My wife got off at noon today and our 8 year old had a field trip day at school and we were able to check him out afterwards right after noon. So this is where we voted to go since he thought watching the Alligators would be a great topping for the day, he was right!!! Also it really starts to liven up around 5pm when people and their families start showing up after work. They have live bands and a dance floor where you can cut a rug if your in the mood! There is plenty of parking and plenty of seating area inside and outside as well as an upstairs dining area.

Came out to the Pine Tree Lodge to celebrate the anniversary of some great friends. We had reservations for a group of 10 on a Sunday for 12:30 in the indoor section. When we arrived, it was so nice outdoors, we requested that we move outside. They promptly switched us and got us seated--fortunately there was plenty of space available since there was no band playing at that time. Mason, our server, was wonderful! He was so attentive and polite, and was quite the server--it wasnt his fault that there was no alligator available that day! (He hadnt been informed by the kitchen.) I had the shrimp kisses and lettuce wedge for my main meal. Bacon-wrapped shrimp with jalapeno slice were large and served with a tasty dip. Salad was super fresh--the best part of my meal! Hubby had the chicken fried steak, and he said it was very good. However, unfortunately, many others at our table, who had various fried foods, said that their food was not very well seasoned. The beer is served on tap from the bottom. When your cup is empty, you can remove the magnet and attempt to add it to their metal wall... not an easy task unless you have the proper aim. Save your leftover food to feed the alligators, turtles and fish that hang out in Taylor bayou.

My first time here and unfortunately I wont be back. Very great atmosphere. The food decent. They asked to move to a different table in the back away from the front of the stage. I went to the bathroom and they cleaned my table. Then gave me half off the order that they messed up twice. The manager did not care. Just a bad experience all around for me. Man oh man where do I start. Well to begin the place was packed and it wasn t a bad thing because we were able to sit down as soon as we walked up. The food was immaculate they have these shrimp that are wrapped in bacon OMG it was like your soul getting snatched from your body through your mouth. Our server was very polite and attentive to our needs. I also had got the steak burger and it was awesome as well. You know how you get some burgers and it sits for too long and the bottom bun gets soggy. Well let s just say that wasn t the case the burger was fresh the buns were fresh lettuce pickles even the onions and I don t eat unions were fresh. If you are in the area I highly recommend this place.

My wife and I came this beautiful Sunday afternoon to enjoy the weather and my friends Moreau play. They are certainly busbut poorly managed. Even though there were open tables, they werent being cleared for the patrons waiting to be seated. If a table was cleared, the young lady at the front seating people told us they were being saved for people. I was very impressed with staff at this place. They have handicap elevator but were not working right when we first got to the place. They were able to get my father inlaw up to the restaurant. What a great gem. I met some relatives from LA and TX here, and the atmosphere and lake view are great. The food was so delicious and big portions. Great desserts, too. We will definitely be back. Food is amazing and plenty of it. Came in a hug party of 20 something. Fast, friendly, accurate. Even refills I didnt even have to ask. It came with a smile. The atmosphere is perfection. Huge gravel parking lot. Kids will love this place. A lot of customers were already there. So I just knew it would take us forever. I was wrong! We all left with tummy full and had a great time. We just left and we were very disappointed. There were hardly any people there, and our waitress did not serve us but twice. Our food was awful. Some of the shrimp were under cooked and did not have any seasoning others had been over cooked and did not have any seasoning. The fish had no seasoning and had too much breading. The gumbo was the worst I have ever had. The crab cakes were grilled on too high of heat which cause the inside to be undercooked. The mushrooms were greasy unseasoned and not cooked properly. We tried the appetizer sampler once we realize it was all awful we had hoped maybe it was someone training and our food (entrees) would have been better we were wrong. When we asked for the check the waitress stood and stared at us waiting for us to hand her our card instead of giving us a couple of minutes to get our payment out and coming back when we were ready. At the time when there is hardly anyone in your establishment I would hope to have a better experience as well as not have 5 different people bring us our drinks and food. While I understood if it is busy everyone works together however this was far from that. We had spoke with the bartender due to no manager and our waitress leaving as soon as she received our payment before we could tell her and the bartender informed us that this was definitely not the first time this had been issue. Unfortunately we will not be going back. We hope no one else has this awful service and experience. When spending over $130.00 you should expect more than what was given meaning quality and quantity of food and service especially in this situation.

The server was horrible. Brought our drinks and once she brought appetizers she brought no plates nor did you check to see if it was good. It was far from good. The chicken wings were so small that the bones were already showing, the fried mushrooms was huge but tasted horrible. I let it go as being a off day. Them the next time we see our waiter was to deliver our food. She sat it on the table and after walking off did not once come back to check on us. My chicken fried steak arrived at the table hot but the sides were very cold that I could not eat. Once she finally come back and I brought up my issue she just shrugged it off. Once I spoke with manager and made her aware of everything starting with the wings, she looked at me and ask was I sure? I wasn t asking for nothing just making her aware he waitress needed to be retrained on how to attend to customer. Needless to say that was money wasted that day. I was sad because the service and food has always been excellent but that day it was disappointing.

First time here and I believe it will be my last. If you re going here to celebrate DON T bring balloons they are NOT allowed!!! Update to the response-have you never heard of anyone tying them to a chair? No need to be rude either. It wasn t not having the balloons it was the way we were told and your reason wasn t stated.

Food was OK, drinks OK, pricing OK, what i loved was the atmosphere; sat outside and fed the gators taters (and the turtles and the fish -no judgement pls - this is standard practice). fun games and live music on certain nights - fun for the whole family. would go back.

While my filet was the most tender and flavorful I have found locally my wifes catfish and shrimp were inedible due to very poor taste. Our waitress checked on us a few minutes after our food arrived and we informed her of the problem. My chose to not order anything else. We were only charged for my meal. When we want to eat steak again we will go back here. Parking: Plenty of handicap parking. Wheelchair accessibility: There is an open air elevator like found at some beach cabins.

Amazing food and atmosphere. Not far from my house but even so itd be well worth the drive! Taylor and Caitlyn are THE BEST waiter and waitress they have! They definitely know us by name and go above and beyond to make your time enjoyable! HIGHLY reccomend asking for one of these two when you go! *EDIT* Shes not always there but, if you can catch Daniella she makes the best drinks! And is as sweet as she can be!

We came with a large group for a family anniversary. It was a mix of good and bad with food. Kids loved the outside with the alligators and turtles. The area was cool outside in spite of being a hot day. The food: the shrimp kisses were really good. The grilled shrimp were small but tasted fine. The alligator bites were really tough and my daughter couldn t finish her food. The street tacos looked really good. The hushpuppies were way over cooked and it seemed like everyone used them to feed the animals. The dessert was ok. The banana pudding didn t have any bananas and seemed only to have banana flavoring so that was disappointing. The cobbler was fine. Overall the food was ok, good things and bad things on the menu. Price is a little high for the quality. We will probably be back again for this get together but hopefully things get better.

Waited close to two hours to be seated, couldnt hear anyone talk at the table because the band playing was so loud it actually hurt my ears, then received the saddest little, overcooked, beef patty that was completely black on one side. Thankfully they refunded my meal, but waiting that long for food that should not have even been sent out felt like a slap in the face when the rest of the experience was so negative as well.
