We came here because they had a dog friendly patio. I love the location and the space overall. The food was pretty tasty. I couldnt give it 5 starts mostly because I have had twisted root burger before (like 5+ years ago or more) and I can 100% something was different with the meat. It was still tasty but something about it was not fresh and it icked me out a bit. I plan to be back because I love the patio so much but I might get chicken tenders :)

Wow! Great place !! Lots of food no matter what you order. The appetizer sampler is enough for three people. Fully stocked bar. The pickle bar has a great variety. Love the bread and butter pickles. When you order they give you a random star or cartoon character name. I got Wylie E Coyote. Lots of seating inside and out. Went there several times and tried both. Strongly recommend.

Ate lunch here for my first time. Id heard good things but what I should have heard was great things! I had the Aint No Chicken Club with no bacon. I didnt realized it didnt come with fries and I went back up to get a side of fries thinking Id have to wait but they got them to me immediately. This was probably the best chicken sandwich Ive ever had. Fries were fantastic too. Loved the BBQ-y ketchup sauce thats on the table. Staff was super friendly. Great vibe. Neat outdoor space. I had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately, it fell short. The burger tasted only slightly better than something you d get from a vending machine or a gas station. The fries were either overcooked or made with old fryer oil. The worst part was when I saw the bartender lick his fingers, grab a paper towel above the sink, and then fail to wash his hands before handing a customer a straw for their shake.

Great family and friends place. Its pretty loud. They have great service. I forgot to order my beef well done. When I got it, it was done medium rare. When I took my burger back they didnt make a fuss about it. The pickles are of the chain. Especially, the spicy ones. Fathers day was well spent here. Thank you. We were invited for a Surprise 16th Birthday Party for our Grandson. It was a real cool place to have it. They accommodated our needs for a large party. The food was good and the staff was friendly. Venison burger was dry and nearly tasteless. If not for the jam it toppings, I dont think I would have wanted to finish it. They were so busy and had no staff other than behind the counter. 100 tvs, no one to change channel on any. We didnt get wifes pizza for a while because no one was free to run it out to us. The one staff member that finally could be found was a busser that didnt speak English. No one at the bar, so if you wanted another adult beverage, youd have to wait in line behind everyone that was ordering food. Doubtful Id ever go back. Nearly 20 bucks for a burger, no fries included. Honestly, chilis makes a better burger.

This location is the only location of the franchise to serve pizza although I didn t get any i was seeing others be served and it looks really good and worth a shot. This is a typical restaurant I m used you. You start off in line and can read the menu and then you order at 1 window and pick it up at another. They don t give you numbers to call out they give you famous celebrities lmao it was actually kinda cool. But the food was fresh and great there are 4 different types of protein to choose from from beef, elk, chicken, pork and one more I can t remember. Prices were definitely in the 10-20$ range which is the new normal they take American Express so gold card holders you are good to go.

Went to pick up our food and the cashier was cleaning her station and completely ignored us when we told her we were there for pickup And started cleaning. So unprofessional. If you haven t tried the green beans and carrots, DO IT! So good! I went for lunch with family yesterday. The food was fantastic, the restaurant was surprisingly empty for 1:30p.. it should have been packed. The atmosphere was fun with silly decor and great conversation starters if you re into pop culture. The salads and burgers were made fresh and really great. I hadn t been in a while, so I m not sure when TR switched from the compostable plates to washable, but it makes for a much better experience. I disliked when I would add a gloop of ketchup for my fries and the cardboard tray would get soggy as it absorbed the excess liquid.

I ve been here 5-6 times and will change my review to five stars when they ve made the changes that are clearly in motion. I ve always had a soft spot for Twisted Root. The one off of Campbell was in a weekly rotation for me before they closed. Though I think this new Plano location rushed things a bit. Here s the good, bartenders are very funny, courteous, and prompt. Atmosphere is second to none for downtown Plano. Dog friendly, great music, and lots of space A++. Burgers and fries are still tasty and worth it albeit a little pricey. Here are the cons, they are making the same mistakes as Hub Street! My best guess is management happy hour is very poor, draft kegs/pre-mixed cocktails are consistently empty, and on an insanely slow Sunday night it took ~35 minutes for my table to get four burgers. Anywho It appears the second building is now being turned into a game room which is awesome! Dear management, if you re reading this here s my advice. Throw a pool table and dart boards in the game room. Create a better happy hour/specials menu. People barhop in downtown Plano, you should try to KEEP them there with good deals. Make sure your kitchen staff is happy, healthy, and consistent. Fire your marketing guy. Not a single friend in Plano knew you guys opened or where you re located. Get your house in order and you will be the hottest spot in downtown Plano this summer I know it!!

We went in for Burgers and beer. Sat at the bar and the bartender Carson took good care of us. We had a Kids burger and a Classic burger. Both were good, the beef patty was tasty and cooked just right. If I had a choice, I would prefer a classic style bun. Their regular Hamburger bun is yellow in color and taste kinda sweet. Its not bad mind you, just not my favorite. Well go back again, they have plenty of seating, indoors and out, and a good size bar. Twisted looks like a good place to watch a ballgame and have a good time.

Cheese fries were great, not soggy, nor overly dry, just perfect. Kids enjoyed their meal, and all different flavors of pickles. We will be back.

I used to loved this place. Used to have great burgers. Went today and got a cheese burger. Had no flavor but that was not the problem, The meat was way under cooked at least 3/4 was red meat. About 1/4 of it was browned. I did talk to management and they told me oh it was cooked right thats how we cook it. They hadnt even looked at my burger which was way undercooked. Im okay with a thin line of pink thats okay but red no Im not okay with that. I suggested that they should ask people how they want their Burger cooked and the manager I guess she just walked away and didnt say anything else. So if you want to raw hamburger I guess this is your place. I will not be back.

The food is excellent. I had a Shroom burger (no picture, I was starving)it was soooooo delicious! I will definitely return. They have pizza as well and will have to try that upon my return.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Restaurant was hot inside. It is 100 degrees in Texas turn down the air below 80. My burger was good. My wifes chicken salad was very salty she didnt eat hardly any. I like twisted root. This time not so good.

Absolutely loved this environment. The way this location is designed was very appealing. Because of the heatwave, we didnt get a chance to sit in the outdoor area but, it does look very well put together. The food was spot on and delicious. Definitely shows that the staff care what is sent out. And the shakes were delicious!!

Quite the hidden gem. Fantastic burger. Great atmosphere. The whole place is very well done up from the ordering of your food to the person you get to be named for when your food is ready to be picked up. Someone made this establishment worthwhile to spend time at for a meal and drinks in the evening.

I have no idea what happened to this place. Walked in to every table needing bussed, no one at the front to take our order, then when we received our burgers-there was a bug in my food! Used to come here all the time, but we sadly will not be back. Terrible customer service and an overall nasty atmosphere that looked like all the workers had gone on strike. This place needs to get it together.
