I came into smokin moon for the first time in my birthday. I had a wonderful dining experience, our server Desiree was exceptionally friendly and fast, making sure we were well taken care of throughout our meal. She was also very knowledgeable about the menu, providing great recommendations and answering all our questions with ease. Highly recommend this place for both the excellent service and delicious food!

Came just for dessert ordered the bread pudding waited 30 min got it and then waited for the ice cream that comes with it then 5 min later waiter comes back says they dont have ice cream! I ask for refund and waiter asks if i would like it to go!? My wife told him no we would like our money back! Just gonna say if you dont have items available on the menu just say so!! Today I took my family out for lunch , it was immaculate was their first time there so of course I had to show them what the Dino ribs were all about!!!! To include the friendly and always attentive server Frida not once did we have to ask for drinks at all , I highly recommend going it always hits the spot every time. Great way to start our Sunday . Parking: Has handicap parking right in front which was a plus.

I am sitting at the drive thru as we speak typing this. I have been here for 22 minutes without anyone coming to the window. I have pressed the button 2x. After the 10 min mark I called and some girl answered and I politely stated that I m in the drive thru and maybe the button does not work so I m calling just to let them know. She says someone will be with me shortly. Well 30 min later and no one. Is this the type of service that is given here? Is it to much to ask for for someone to come to the window and say we will be rite with you. Very unacceptable for a place of business. I do not recommend this place.

Cold beans, not enough choices for toppings besides pickles, onions, & jalapeños as additions for the side flavor enhancirs, kids are running around wildy, loud music inside and even worse type of songs outside. Lady at front was trying her best not to lose it when taking order or when asked for something, not very helpful and forgetting to mention most basic details about needs but you can tell she tried somewhat b- effort, no waitresses attending for anything except when waving down one of the two girls we only saw. Some of the food made up for a bit of it but will probably go back only once in a blue moon, since it was really one part of the portion was worth tasting

We have been here before and have had way better service, but tonight was definitely a waste of time. Only nice people were the inside front counter people, but the servers outside were rude and were too focused on one large party. Even the bartender didnt want to help out. Drinks took forever, overcharged for food we didnt receive. I like the place, we will be back, but we do hope service isnt non existent like it was tonight. Kid-friendliness: Lots for kids to do! I visited The Smokin Moon on a Tuesday evening with high hopes for a pleasant dining experience, but unfortunately, it fell short in several aspects. Upon arrival, my party and I opted to sit outside and waited patiently for about 10 minutes without any acknowledgment or assistance from the staff. Despite seeing a waitress pass by, we werent attended to. It seemed evident that the waitress was overwhelmed by the number of tables; there were approximately 5-7 other occupied tables. Feeling neglected, I decided to go inside to place our order myself. We ordered tacos and a loaded potato. We got the potato quick, but disappointingly, it was served cold. The tacos, on the other hand, took a long time approximately 20-30 minutes to arrive, and they werent served warm either. Despite these service mishaps, I must commend the kitchen on the taste of the tacos; they were flavorful and enjoyable. However, the overall experience was marred by the lack of attentive service and improperly served food. As someone who has dined at The Smokin Moon before, I can attest that this visit was an anomaly in terms of service quality and food temperature. It seems that management may have overlooked the need for sufficient staffing and proper service planning, particularly for outdoor seating. Overall while the food quality remains commendable, the disappointing service and temperature of the dishes leave much to be desired. I hope that The Smokin Moon addresses these issues promptly to ensure consistently positive dining experiences for its patrons.

I visited for the first time. The brisket tacos that I had were very good. Not bad for 50 Cent taco Tuesday. I will return. The music was a little loud for my taste. You have to raise your voice over the music to have a conversation. It was clean. The service was ok, but not great. They could use some more servers on Taco Tuesday. Frida was a delightful waitress who never seemed flustered or frustrated with all of us converging all at once. I believe there were 31 of us from Tropic Star. This was our first time there and definitely plan to return. My suggestion would be to seat us at tables of 6- for ease of ordering, much easier on the wait staff and much easier to visit with the folks at your table, We happened to be seated where the sun was beating in the windows of the garage door. If I had to give zero stars I would. My dad works for a band and the manager is never there. The manager is extremely rude. Service is terrible but the food is OK. It takes forever to get your food. Do not come here one time. My dad has a gig and the manager obviously wasn t there and by the time he was getting ready to play his final set people left because it was raining and, my dad decided to leave and told the manager if he can get his paid the manager often refused and was gonna pay less than when my dad was gonna get paid for if I had to give zero stars I would so management is horrible horrible but the food is OK. Weve tried a few different brunch items, theyre all delicious! Service could be a bit better. There were 4 of us on the latest visit and it started off wrong when the waiter said they were completely out of any/all red wine, so we just asked for waters... we ultimately had to request a menu because we never got b one... maybe it was our fault because thats exactly what we got, one single menu..... for all 4 of us!! We then asked a couple of general questions about some menu items, but the waiter didnt seem have an answer for much of anything. To his credit, though, he did say that he didnt usually work during brunch hours...... ummmm, ok...??!! Nonetheless, we will be back simply because the food is actually quite good and with a different twist to your typical local bbq restaurants. Disclaimer, weve only ordered from the brunch menu, but pretty sure their lunch and dinner items are just as good. Kid-friendliness: This is a family restaurant BUT from what weve experienced (and this is not a complaint by any means), theres a nice bar area that opens up to an outdoor garden style area with garage glass doors that, when weather permits, are opened up and they typically have a DJ during brunch. It feels more like a lets hang out here, have a couple of drinks, some good food and relax for a while kind of atmosphere, not so much for kids.

I called and the 1st lady hung up on me as I was placing a pick up order. I called a 2nd time after 5 minutes and a guy placed me on a brief hold but hung up on me after a few minutes.

I ordered through uber eats, ordered over 100 dollars of food, and specifically asked for the fixing for the brisket we ordered and they didnt give us any. We then called and asked what had happened and all they said was theres nothing we can do about it.

I was disappointed at the service. We came in with our kids and sat down. We were never approached by any staff to order. We waited 30 minutes. Another couple came in several minutes after and were attended to beside our table. They appeared to know the waitress. Even after the staff were made aware we were there, still no one approached us. We were forced to order inside. The food was brought out quickly by the inside staff and made up for a disappointing first impression of the service outside on the patio.

Ordered take out through 3rd party. Brisket tacos very good small portion. Offer extra Brisket and charge up. Also they added 20% extra for take out. So they would rather I not order at all. So I wont. Forcing me to tip for you to wrap my take out is very California of you. I did tip my delivery driver 50%.

Ordered the simplest item, A Slice Brisket Sandwich and cup of Beef Chili. The Brisket had no flavor of it being Smoked, tasted like it made in the Oven. The Chili was like taking spots full of ground meat and no flavor at all. Been at this place several times before, but not recently.

Service was terrible at best. Had to ask for another round of drinks. One guy didnt get his so he ask again. It sat on the bar as 3 waitresses stood and talked. He finally got up and got it off the bar himself. 3 men got their orders after a long wait ( only one other set of customers in there). The other man and the ladies waited another 20 minutes to get there food EXCEPT for one lady. She was told, when the rest finally got theirs, that they didnt have what she ordered and did she want to order something else. Never once did the waitress come and ask us if everything was OK. Then they had the nerve to add a 20% gratuity to the bills. We ended up giving about 12% and that was to much for the service we got. The food was mediocre and again the service was TERRIBLE. Makes me sad as 2 years ago it was a great place to eat and we recommended it to all our friends. Will NEVER eat there again .

Very very disappointed at this place. I went because it was highly rated, and their 2019 poster made me believe it. Man, was I wrong. The brisket was nice and cold . I got one warm piece, and the rest was dry. Also, the baby back ribs let me down. Dry and luke warm at best. Patotoe Salad felt very generic, and the street corn did not convince me. I paid around $55 for everything, thinking it was worth it. I will go back and try it again just to see if maybe I caught them in a bad day. Will see.

Came here on a whim and I wasnt really too pleased. The brisket I ordered had way too much fat on it ND the bread pudding had raisins in it which wasnt in the description. The ribs werent awful, the Mac & Cheese was decent and the Spanish rice was nothing but colored rice no real authentic flavor to it.

Server was very courteous, once large party showed up, it was hard to distinguish our server. Brisket bowl had about a half r teaspoon brisket rest was rice n beans. Corn dish was delicious but 1/4 tsp brisket!

What food Ive had here had been pretty good. It has the worst happy hour in south Texas!! Was told a few weeks ago that micro brew handles were 5$ for hh, was told today that only Bud and Bud light and some other domestic swill was the only things for happy hour. I was charged $6.50 a piece for,2 Pacificos. The bar, which has a nice setting, was empty. Now I know why. Maybe a good place for lunch, but definitely skip it for happy hour.

excellent cuisine. What we had the brisket and the steaks were all very good as well as the chicken wings. somewhat regular snack bar atmosphere. you can even use the drive-through service. Parking: like most places in Texas, several places to park an adapted car. Even minibuses. Kid-friendliness: friendly table. Wheelchair accessibility: excellent parking, coffee table and high table, chairs can be removed. They even come and serve you at the table, that s what s required.

It was early and quiet when we stopped by for take out. The lean brisket and BBQ beans were top notch. Took a quick look at the venue while the meat was sliced. There was a section for kids/families, a bar, and an outdoor seating area. It was recommended by my BIL and hes my new favourite relative.

I was really looking forward to the $12 Sloppy Jude Sandwich. They gave me a sandwich with pulled pork and sausage. They didnt add the coleslaw or brisket. I went back and asked for the coleslaw and forgot about brisket. The street corn and sandwhich were cold. Yeah, not coming back anytime soon.

I tried this place several years ago and thought it was tasty. This trip was very disappointing and seemed very expensive for the food quality. The Burnt ends werent burnt at all, they seemed mushy and had just ok flavor. Honestly the burnt ends Ive microwaved from Costco tasted better and had better barky texture. The pulled pork didnt taste particularly smoky either. I did enjoy the street corn, potato salad and BBQ sauce. The staff was helpful and courteous but I really dont see myself going back considering the prices I paid for the mediocre main attraction meats.

I was excited to try this place out but was dissapointed. The cheese on the brisket nachos was the canned nacho cheese, to me that is not quality. The BBQ sauce needs an overhaul. I also tried their Cajun chicken sandwich and it was average. I did like their fries. I love BBQ and have been to several, I rank this one at the lower end based on the two items I tried.
