I took my wife here for a dine-in meal (non-hibachi). I had a combo chicken and steak dinner. She had the shaggy dog rolls, which were so great since shes pregnant and misses sushi-- at least she can have cooked sushi. I want to really compliment our waiter, Tom. He said hes only been there a couple of weeks, but he was really personable, nice, and willing to provide good service. We had no idea he had not been there very long. He excelled! We were playing Pokémon Go, and he played too and asked us about how we liked it and showed off his Pokémon. That was really cool. Also, we got the mango fruit dessert, and it was way better then we ever expected. It was like a pureed, sorbet mango in the shell of the mango. We loved it! We will definitely be back and hope Tom is our server again, or at least someone as good if not. We highly recommend this place.

Food- Never again Service - understaffed & under trained Atmosphere- dirty restaurant , I dont think it s ever been deep cleaned and probably nothing more than a wipe down since it opened. The walls were disgusting. Food- no flavor, hands down worst sushi rolls we have ever had. We won t be coming back. We wouldn t t come here again if it was the only thing open. I m extremely perplexed how they are averaging 4 stars. This is not a 10 star scale. ***we ordered*** Shaggy dog roll Spicy crawfish roll Marilyn Monroll Shogun meal (filet, chicken, lobster & sautéed veggies 1 whiskey sour which never showed up. All this horribleness and I still tipped 10%. That was being generous.

Used to be our favorite place but was throughly disappointed today. The food was not seasoned and the shrimp was not cooked enough. Everything was cooked in about 5 minutes. The bathroom smelled like the ones at a club just awful. We won t be going back. Shogun has gone down hill in a bid way.

Giving one star is me being generous. We was with someone that is seafood allergic. We said it to the waiter. He repeated to the chef. He repeated back to us. We thought we had an understanding. He then got upset because he (for whatever reason was confused about who got what order) everyone including the people not with us has to correct him. Our person allergic repeated she is seafood allergic. He confirmed for now maybe the 5th time. He then put the shrimp on the grill cooking and using the same utensils cook all food. We asked him and our server what he was doing he said making her food first..SHE IS ALLERGIC and what he is doing is cross contamination. Needless to say he had an attitude for duration. He still messed up orders. No hibachi experience at all. He became argumentative we she told him she can t eat that plus he messed up people orders. The manager tried to make it right by having the kitchen cook but it was too late I WILL NEVERRRRRR EAT THERE NOR WILL I EVERRRRR recommend it

The food was good. However, grease was leaking from the ceiling. It ruined my friends shirt, got in her hair, on the chair and floor. The floor was so slippery that my friend nearly fell! The employees were spreading salt all over the floor for traction. The bathrooms were also very nasty and ac ducts were filthy. I wont be back until they clean this place from top to bottom.

This place has the worst sushi Ive ever had. It was so bland and hard to finish, but we had to because, if not, we were going to be charged for what we didnt finish??? I wish I was making this up. The floors were so slippery, and while I appreciate their sign saying so, it felt gross and dirty to walk on. You couldnt pay me to come back here again.

Be warned. That sign at the entrance that says ALL YOU CAN IT is a scam. I was told the manager needed us to eat all of the sushi on our plate, or we would get charged EXTRA! Plus, the sushi wasnt better than H.E.B.

Used to be my favorite restaurant of all hibachis and I know I shouldn t base it off one experience but they ve gone down hill. My last experience wasn t the best but after yesterday experience..I will NEVER go back. Went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon My food didn t look appealing, I even had to ask him to cook my shrimp a tad bit longer. When I started to eat , my food had absolutely NO FLAVOR! I mentioned this to the waiter and host passing by. There was an awkward blank stare of them looking at me like what did I want them to do about it, then they shrugged as if they didn t understand. I asked them to ask the guy if he used seasoning. 2 min later they both walked by me with NO UPDATE. Then the waiter comes back 5 min after that to ask how the check will be split. We stated separately. He came back with the checks and walked off. Still no updates. Comes back and ask are we ready to check out. We said no. (Still no update) 5 min later he comes back interrupting our conversation again and I blurted out we aren t ready . My thing is how are you coming back trying to get us to pay when you haven t even updated us in regards to my experience. So I had to ASK myself the next time passing by when I actually was ready to pay and ask him for an update. He says he said he used the regular amount of seasoning I said oh ok. The thing is!!!!!! I know what the blank stare was the look that we were given was as if we wanted free food or a discount and that wasn t what the situation was I drive from CYPRESS to this location because it s the only one I like so I expect it to taste good! This has been one of my favorite restaurants since theyve opened and they didnt let me down today!! Visited the restaurant for lunch today and we did the hibachi experience! It seems like theyve gotten even better than they were before! I ordered the Shrimp and Salmon, which was cooked to perfection! I wish I had gotten pictures of it but I demolished the food before I thought about it. I LOVE their yum-yum sauce, which I also prefer on both my salad and my meal; but you have to ask for it instead of the regular dressing that they use (which is similar but not as great to me). The service was exceptional today!! He was very attentive and quickly realized when we needed things (like refills and extra napkins, etc.). In my opinion, this is the BEST Hibachi restaurant in the Houston area!! For lunch, you get great portions and good pricing but lunch is only served from Mon-Fri from 11-3, I believe. Dinner prices are more but the portions are also even larger. Also, as an aside, for this who may have visited in the past when they used to have a wet mop water smell that is also gone now!! Parking: Parking can be competitive directly in front of the restaurant. I traditionally prefer to park in the back of the restaurant and walk over, which allows me to get more steps in too!

Very comfortable atmosphere and friendly employees. I usually get the steak and chicken with veggies and rice. The salad is deliciously fresh and the onion soup is very good and I don t even like onions so that says a lot! It s definitely become a staple when in need of a filling yet healthy meal.

Service is very bad. Ridiculous tip request. The customer gave a 10% tip but the staff asked for 18%/bill - This is not a restaurant with good service and you should not visit! I arrived the restaurant around 7pm on Saturday - December 16 - the store wasnt really that busy (didnt cover all the tables outside), and i seen customers had to queue for a long time (before and after i come). Regarding the food, there is a lot but lacks variety. And I didnt expect to receive so much. However, when I sat on the table and wait for their menu, it took more than 10 minutes for a staff member to come and give me the menu (so weird). And had to wait nearly 30 minutes to get the first dish. The female waitress almost forgot about my table and my hight raised hands to looking for her help. My request was for hot sake while she brought cold sake. I think the restaurant is understaffed. So I decided to let it go. But after calculating the bill and paying, this female employee brought the bill and after I left a tip (10% for the meal), the female employee asked for 18% of the total bill. This is ridiculous. Obviously slow service, wrong food delivery, even having to ask for help from another employee, this waiter still has the right to ask for a tip ACCORDING TO THEIR REQUEST. Tipping is cultural, but how much to tip is the diners right. There can be no such brazen way of asking for money publicly. If you do well, you will be rewarded, there can be no unreasonable demands for money like robbery.

Incredible!! Showed up for Hibachi, ending up getting the AYCE Sushi and sat at the bar. This is just what my appetite needed! Hurricane drink, 4 specialty sushi rolls, and 2 apps all for under $45. Atmosphere was fun and relaxing. Staff was warm, welcoming, and friendly. Paige was the best waitress ever and even the owner would make rounds to check on the guests. 10/10 Stars. Great family place and great for after business gatherings. The only thing missing tonight was my wife. I guess we will be back the next time in Houston! Highly recommend. #Memphis

There was one waitress doing everything so we tried to be patient, but as a person who s worked in the restaurant business for years it s important to always maintain the order of service. I ordered the Boston roll, crab puffs, and my friend ordered the fried rice and chicken skewers (obviously as a main entree). A minute later she stopped by & repeated our order. She later brought out everything but the skewers so we asked about them after several minutes (did she forget? She did ask us to repeat our order afterall). She replied We re very busy right now, someone will bring them . We knew they were busy, no need to mention it, the question could have been avoided by bringing everything out at the same time. The waitress needs to learn how to manage guests expectations as soon as they walk in and should save that tone for the person who makes the schedule there. It s not the customers fault that y all are understaffed. Besides that the food was mediocre for the price. Never going back.

I paid $85 for Hibachi grill chef only cooked our food no entrainment no Choo Choo trian no interaction with us at all! Food was good but super slow service and no excitement. We learned about the restaurants ayce sushi and decided to check it out. We walked in and were seated. For the price they were charging (which is on par with other ayce locations), the menu option were a third of the size of their competitors and included no rice, soup, or such options. We waited several minutes to get those menus, several minutes more to order and receive water, and then we were just... left alone. So, we walked out and went to another restaurant. I got the impression that ayce is a newer feature, and once they figure themselves out, I would be willing to give it another try, but they didnt feel ready for prime time for ayce. Parking: Theres limited parking in front but access from a lot behind the building.

First time dining here on 12/9/22 with a party of 8. Surprisingly they dont take reservations for the Teppanyaki tables, but wait time was less that 15 minutes. The food options and portion sizes were great for the price. The sushi on the other hand did seem freshly rolled, so I would not recommend. The restaurant is nice, but I wish it were cleaner. The floors and walls in the dining areas were sticky and the restrooms were gross. I hope in the future they place more focus on cleanliness.

Dear lort, this place is always dirty. The food is fresh, its entertaining and the workers try hard. The only reason I go is for the 6 year old. They are so understaffed that the show is rushed. Finally decided to go after wanting to go for a while. And I have to say, I was not disappointed. It was a bit crowded when I went, but got sat down very quickly by the very friendly hostess. The waiter apologized for the wait, which I think was very kind, but not really necessary. The food was delicious, very tasty, and simply amazing. Everything was freshly made with fresh ingredients. I will definitely be going back!

We went for Father s Day. I called 2 weeks in advance to make reservations, and was told there was no need. I called again 5 days ahead of time to confirm that we needed no reservations, because we had a large group (16 adults and 5 kids). I was told, no problem, just come in . I arrived 45 minutes ahead of my party to request a table with the hibachi show. I let them know that my family would be there at 2:15. We were seated at 2:50pm . We had only 1 waitress and I feel that for a party of that size, we should have had 2. The waitress was nice and did her best, but it was a lot to handle. We never got water, and drinks that we ordered took about 15 minutes to get for some, and 30 minutes for others. Once everyone got their drinks, we were allowed to order appetizers. The kids were so hungry we were allowing them to consume them as a meal. By the time we actually got the chef to our table, it was 4:15. We only had 1 chef. There should have been 2, because by the time we all got our complete meal, the rice was cold. The chef was nice enough to warm it for my husband, but everyone else ate it as is, because we were starving, it was 5:30. The chef was overwhelmed and didn t do any of the show. He cooked our food and served it. My grandson asked if he could please do the volcano and he said no, not today. I am not doing that . When he left, he didn t even say goodbye or enjoy your meal, or something??? I still gave the restaurant a 3, because the staff was nice and tried, but they were overwhelmed. Management needs to review the policy for larger groups so that they can accommodate. We still were charged 20% gratuity, about $200.00. We should have been offered at least a round of appetizers for the table or something. Management dropped the ball here.

I visited this restaurant at 6:30. It was fairly empty and was told my to-go order would take 15 minutes. I watched several customers get seated after me AND receive their meals. I didnt receive my order until 7:30. I could have dined in and received my order sooner. After expressing my frustration with the service, the only thing the manager offered was a cup of lemonade as an apology. My gyoza order was cold.
