This place is always on point. I normally order the tacos but I decided to try to chicken special. It was under $7 and was basically a fajita chicken platter without the tortillas. Both cost effective and delicious! I m not sure if the specials change daily so check the website.

Not only the best Mexican restaurant, the actual overall best restaurant in the area. Right when you sit down you get FREE chips and salsa AND queso, no place does that for free anymore. Prices are between 8-12$, HUGE portions but the best part is the service. Nicest people and prompt service. We come at least once a week. They also have an A rating for cleanliness from the city, because of course they do.

UPDATE!! We have really enjoyed this place since we came here 6 months ago. We have been there in the afternoon, later in the evening. We have even been when there was a wait and restaurant was busy. Service has been good, food hs been good. Today was the exception. The restaurant temp was set to 76 and 77. Super hot. Flies landing on our food. We ordered the kids food and everyones drinks as soon as we got there. Drinks came out. My moms margarita was wrong. She told the waitress and the bartender came out and told us thats what it has(orange juice) even though it clearly stated it was tequila, lime juice and agave. No orange juice, she then asked the waiter he told her no it didnt. When they brought back the correct one it tasted like lime juice more than anything. Our food came out pretty fast, even though we ordered after we got the margaritas. My kids food no where to be found. I want to say 10 min later we git their food. I doubt we will be back soon. My moms wedding anniversary was today, though my dad has passed away we still celebrate every year. She wanted to enjoy some good food and enjoy a margarita. Well she says she wont be back. They claim that the fry area was behind. But if we ordered the kids meals first it makes no sence to get it so late. Dosnt take that long to reheat precooked fried food and rice. Place is inviting, looks clean and decorated. Menu options are plenty and prices are not bad. The happy hour margaritas anlre good price and are delicious. The food was delicious. I recomend this place for some good tex mex food. Its pretty steady. We came for dinner and the place is busy no wait.

Delicious food at a great price! I have not yet been disappointed by any dish. Highly recommend it. They also have great deals on Margaritas, dine in and to go. On Fridays they have live music with a good duo. Also, karaoke on Fridays where anyone can go up to sing. Usually, the employees Sing a song or two and its great to see the entertainment the restaurant offers when their employees engage in the ambience.

Weve heard good things about the food and margaritas so we thought wed check it out. So we went in one afternoon and our waitress was Evelyn. She wasnt pleasant at all! When we asked what the special and happy hour items were, she seemed annoyed to even answer and still didnt give us much info. We just asked for tacos and margaritas w/flavor and tajin. The margarita had a lot of syrup and didnt taste too good at all. But, the tacos were delicious as well as the chips and salsa! We had to keep trying to get her attention just to get refills and she seemed reluctant to come over. Well definitely be back for the food and maybe the margaritas...we thought the bartender might just be having an off day. But please talk to Evlelyn about her demeanor, she doesnt need to be a waitress with that attitude. We always tip well, 25-30% because we know the pay isnt great but we only tipped 20% today. Hopefully we get a different waiter or waitress next time so we can give 5 stars.

BAD BAD EXPERIENCE!!!!. I must say that I got carried away by some of the reviews and decided to visit the place. We were a table of six people, to start a mixed grill for two where 70% was only chicken and totally tasteless, the rice in all the dishes was decomposed, smelled bad and tasted worse, I let my waiter know so he could notify his kitchen so that they would not continue selling it like this, my son ordered a large barbecue quesadilla and could not consume it due to the amount of fat that was dripping from it. He immediately began to have stomach pain, my daughter a chicken broth that had evidently been heated several times because it was super salty, we ordered a cake of which half was also left because it was so unpleasant, I must say that we consumed a little of the food because we were really hungry but the food in general was horrible and as if that were not enough they wanted to charge me for things that they didnt even They were even given to me. I paid my bill without any problem but Im posting this review right now because I have a stomach ache basically five hours after eating there. So be careful. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH FOOD!!!!

I got an appetizer of nachos monterrey, and while eating, I felt my stomach start killing me. i went to the restroom thinking I was going to throw up, but i didnt. The whole day, I didnt eat anything else because my appetite never came back, and around 10 p.m., I threw up those nachos i ate in the morning. Came in for menudo and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was! Coming from California I wasn t sure how it was going to be prepared. There is an option to have hominy or not. They have two size options, the small size is a good portion . They were busy but the service was great, no complaints when you re munching on chips and salsa. To the Point Post: Great food, drinks, worth the money, and service is awesome. Great atmosphere and great selection of food and alcohol. Detailed Post: I love this restaurant. It is my my time place. The michaladas here are bomb, and Sammy, the bartender, is amazing. The food is good and I have yet to have anything bad. They have such a variety of Mexican food on their menu. The pozole, a la carte, and nopales are fantastic. They have a menu pertaining to daily specials, and on Tuesday, they have dollar tacos minimum of 5. The tortillas are freshly made as well. I would recommend this place if you are looking for something closer to authentic and not tex mex. Disclaimer-I would not say this real authentic Mexican food but somewhat close. It definitely isnt Gringos by any means so go there or Lupe if that is what you want. Kid-friendliness: This is a family establishment.

Barbacoa was baaaaad. Tasted old and wasn t warm enough. My husband thinks it had gone bad. I now have a stomach ache from it. The chicken guisado in the taco wasn t tender. Very watery. I made better shredded chicken my first try and I m not even Hispanic. The chips were stale and the salsa was bland; had to add salt. Burrito and gordita were dripping with grease. I just found this gem in my own backyard. Very different from the stock Houston area TexMex. Im very cautious about using the word authentic but I can say its more like the family restaurants along the border where I grew up. My favorite is the chile relleno and the sauces are delicious. This is the best Mexican restaurant in town, food is delicious, Tacos are the best! Excellent service, everyone who works there is always in a good mood! Oh and great place to get some drinks and listen to live music on Friday night ;)

Very bad service. We are customers approximately 3 to 4 times a week, normally some of the waitresses are very rude but I dont show much importance about that, but today they exceeded their limits and treated us badly and one of them, justifying herself, yelled at my wife and he treated her badly, after waiting approximately 30 minutes I decided it was better to leave since the waitress was smiling in a mocking way and went back through the refrigerators to talk to the others. Unfortunately the manager did nothing but listen to us. I hope the owners can observe the waitresses in more detail, because otherwise they are going to run away from the customers.

The atmosphere immediately set the tone for a lively evening. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff members who were eager to provide recommendations. Now, lets talk about the star of the show the food. The menu boasts a wide array of Mexican dishes, They were a taste sensation, with fresh, flavorful ingredients that almost transported us to the streets of Mexico. The salsa was a table favorite and perfectly seasoned. As for the drinks, the margaritas were expertly crafted and complemented our meal beautifully. The variety of tequilas and creative cocktail options made it difficult to choose, but each sip was a burst of deliciousness. The ambiance, coupled with the delectable food and impressive drink selection, made our evening truly memorable. Taqueria Mi Pueboilto has earned its place as our go-to spot for Mexican cuisine. We cant wait to return for another fiesta of flavors!

Good food, one thing I hate is how they changed the orange sauce recipe about 3 times this year alone. When I first came in 2022, the orange sauce was my all time favorite as it was spicy and so good. For some reason they changed the recipe, now it tastes bland and sweet. I now prefer the green sauce, but I hope they switch back to the old recipe of the orange sauce and make it spicy again.

The food was ok, I had the shrimp quesadillas... They where frozen boiled shrimp that where thawed it as that what it tasted like no seasoning or flavor from cooking. The rest of our group commented that there food was dry. Lackluster or Mid. The guacamole was good tho.

Great Mexican food. Not the best I ve had but definitely in the top 10%. The place was full upon arrival but we were quickly seated when a party left and the table was cleared. The wait between ordering and receiving our meal was a little longer than I would expect in a Mexican restaurant. The food was good, tortillas are made fresh there so those were excellent. Other than then tortillas the food could have had more seasonings. Overall good experience and would go again if I were in the area.
