My family was dealing with custody issues regarding my teenage stepson, and my husband and I had concerns about him going to live with his mother. We felt overwhelmed and had no real legal knowledge and did not fully understand if our concerns were valid enough to influence the courts decision on the matter. I contacted my employee assistance program through my employer, and they connected me with Scott M. Brown and Associates. They were able to get us scheduled for the next day for a 30 minute consultation with Lindsey at the Pearland office. She was amazing! We sat down with her and explained our concerns and within the short time period she understood everything about the dynamics of our situation, even things we didnt expressly tell her. She was so adept at grasping our particular situation and giving us the valuable advice that we needed. She brought up valid points to support our stance that we hadnt even thought of. She laid out what our options would be so that we could clearly understand what our next steps should be. She did all this while not making us feel rushed at all. Fortunately for us, things resolved in our favor outside of court, but it was largely because we received the legal advice from Lindsey and were able to feel more confident in our situation. I 100% recommend this law office based on our experience. If you are in a similar situation and need some help understanding your legal rights, you should set up a consultation to gain more knowledge on the matter. If you do have an employee assistance program, I highly recommend using that resource as well.

Not sure where to begin. I called the office last week, and they happily scheduled my consultation for four days later. I was given the name of the attorney who would get in touch with me along with a time that was convenient for me. When I try to speak with the gentleman, he gets agitated, and nothing seems to be right. The last time I looked, I was the one requesting help. Then, having promised me an hour of conversation, he talked for nineteen minutes, uttering a lot of ums, like, and you might do this or maybe, as though that were his favorite words. I swear that I will upload a photo of the call log. I will say that I passed. The only thing he clear was how much his boss wants on a retainer and how much he charges per hour. I felt like I was taken advantage of and wasted both money and time.

Very bad experience with ms Williams , she was very rude and took forever 6 months nothing happen she would only say it s the courts they are slow right now and she would talk back very bad no manners . She yelled at me for going to the court to find out what s going on. 8 months and I never seen my kids went else where I seen them within a month. 5,500$ in retainer down the drain. They have so many cases you ll just be another in stack.

I strongly recommend the Scott Brown attorneys of Pearland if you are in a need of an attorney. I went through an incredibly painful divorce in 2018 (which in hindsight turned out to be a green card marriage scam marriage I was duped into). I can not say enough good about Ms Lowance, Susan and Linda(?). They reassured and guided me through it and got me out of it with a fair resolution. If there was a problem in it all, it was that I did not go to Scott Brown attorneys before marrying the foreign woman. But I learned the hard way. Any way, Scott Brown and associates are top notch, and I can not say enough good things about them.

Very disappointed with this law firm. You hear about attorneys who are out to do nothing but rip you off and some who are in it for the right reasons. Unfortunately, I think this is a rip you off law firm. I hired this law firm 12 years ago when I went through my divorce. I used them because the overall ratings were not bad and they were local and I like to keep my money in my community if possible. I was not 100% satisfied 12 years ago, but thats old news so I wont get into that, but know that I paid them roughly $10,000 for my divorce that ended in my ex-wife and I both being broke and so we finally worked it out ourselves and they just finalized what she and I agreed on. Fast forward 12 years.... 12 years later my oldest son has turned 18, graduated and joined the military so I need a modification to my child support to stop paying for only him but continue on the other two. This step down amount is already decided upon in my decree. I went to them again to see what it would cost me to have them file the paperwork and the attorney I spoke with said he spoke with their managing partner who said it will cost $2,500 for them to do this modification. I was blown away and left the office. I called the court house and asked if I had to have an attorney file the paperwork and was told no that it is only one form that need to be filled out and submitted. I drove to the court house, filled out one 4 page form that was fill in the blank and paid $9 for a certified copy. Yes, you read that correctly, only paid $9 and that was so I could have a certified copy of the approved form. The clerk took it to the judge that afternoon who signed off on it and approved the modification. And I received the certified copy the following day. So in closing this law firm tried to charge me $2,500 for a form that took me with zero experience about 15 minutes to fill out and was able to file for $9 which included a certified copy of the approved form. So as you can see, this law firm is not in it for you at all. In my book, they are crooks. Everyones time is worth something and I am not saying they should had done this for free, in fact I was prepared to pay up to about $500 for this service, but no, they once again attempted to take me to the cleaners for something one of their administrative assistants would had done in 5-10 minutes. Highly disappointed and you guys came off like crooks.

They charged me 4,900 and they didnt work for so long They didnt answer and they wanted more than 3,500 plus only children support is the only thing they did, they were cheaters and they wanted more money, I found another lawyer Terry Hard, he charged me a thousand dollars because they didnt want to give me back my childrens passports, and supposedly he made a document where these Lawyers signed so that neither I would claim anything nor Scott would charge me more money, and today after years I realize that they have sent me to Collection, damaging my credit, what helplessness, going through a divorce domestic violence Without money, without work and with 4 children to support, these things are not fair, but God will take care of these lawyers, the more they have, the more they want, bothering the poor.

As soon as you walk through the door you get a warm, friendly welcome. I really appreciated them getting me right into the conference room at my appointed time and the attorney, Peggy Bittick, made sure we were comfortable. I contacted several other law firms regarding my pending divorce. No one else replied to me. Scott M. Brown & Associates contacted me the same day that I requested info from their website. I scheduled a consultation and met with Chelsea. She actively listened to all of my questions and concerns. She took clear notes and carefully looked over the decree to answer everything. She laid out my options, quoted me her fee, and told me that she s there for me if I decide to hire her. Chelsea didn t pressure me at all. In fact, she urged me to try to reach an agreement with my wife through her attorney. If this approach doesn t work out, I will gladly hire her. Chelsea was very professional, matter-of-fact, and personable. I would gladly recommend her to anyone in my situation.

I was definitely not satisfied with the service that I received from this firm. There was a major lack of communication and excuses made for everything that wasnt completed in a timely manner or not done at all. I had an appointment set up on a Thursday to review my case and was never contacted. After I reached out multiple times I finally got a response two weeks later. Simple requests were not addressed or followed up on and Id never want anyone else to go through the same devestation, especially with precious children being involved. After $10,000 they had to be fired and a new counsel obtained. To date my divorce is still not final due to inefficient and ineffective counsel.

I retained Blair Parker with Scott M. Brown & associates for a family law case. She was unable to adequately service my needs and failed to work on my behalf despite a very large retainer ($5,000), and high hourly rate ($350). I had to dismiss her and retain another lawyer who was able to do everything that she said she was not able/ or willing to do.

My husband and I were seeking out an attorney to help us assess what could be done about readjusting the custody of my husbands children. We were recommended by a family member who had used this law firm, so we took a chance and stopped in this summer. We met Erinn Brown that day, and she was very clear and direct about our chances, and went over the pros and cons with us about moving forward. During this meeting, her and her associate became very concerned about the childrens living conditions, and wanted to act immediately before they were sent back to their Mom. We agreed, and in August my husband was awarded temporary primary custody of the younger kids. A few weeks later, something dramatic happened when the Mom assaulted the oldest daughter. While she didnt press charges, Ms Brown went to bat for the young ones and we met with the judge about changing the terms of the temporary orders. All visitation and access to the children were removed because of the victims testimony, and the Mom still denies her actions to this day. She has proceeded to bring us back to court almost monthly to try to gain access back to the children, and Ms Brown has been there every step of the way for us and the kids. While this is still ongoing, Ms Brown has continued to stand up and fight for the un-justices weve had to face along the way. The Mom has threatened my husband by saying shell make sure he is in jail by the time shes done with him, no matter what it takes. Shes also threatened myself by saying shell sue me for every penny I have. Ms Brown has defended us amazingly through all this, and we wouldnt want anyone else on our side but her. I would highly recommend her if youre looking for someone to fight for you or your children.
