The experience here is absolutely abhorrent. They took out physical cashiers, and its all about self checkout. Theres only 1 queue for checkout, and it is atrociously long. They are trying to push their subscription of walmart+ for their scan and go feature. They are now an inconvenience to the public for a couple of bucks on their monthly subscriptions.

HORRIBLE. Went in, shopped for my groceries for an hour, went to checkout only to be told NO CASH TAKEN ANYWHERE. I asked why there were no signs anywhere that indicated this before people start shopping, they said per their company rules theyd get in trouble for posting that anywhere in the store. Walmart already refuses to get integrate Apple Pay systems, and now no cash accepted for the foreseeable future. DISGUSTING, reminded me exactly why that was the first time Ive shopped there in a year. Wont be back!

One of the worst experiences at Walmarts I ve ever had. I came in to purchase a watch one evening and one of the workers refused to get keys to help me unlock the case. I had to wait until the next day and come back for someone to open the watch case for a $12 watch. It took me 10 MINUTES before I was helped in a department with no people in it and no one else waiting to be helped. After I purchase the watch, I try it on and it doesn t fit. They don t even have anybody to help remove the links for the cheap @$$ watch so I have to return it. After returning the watch, I still had several other items to buy. I saw this coffee table that I liked, but one of the associates told me it wasn t for sale just because it was the display . WHY are you even displaying something you can t even sell? Additionally, it took me an HOUR to find 5 items because everything is so spread out and it s difficult to find help. I have plantar fasciitis so my feet were hurting by the time I checked out. I would give this place negative stars if I could. Go to the Super Target nearby instead if you can.

Update: so I called back last time and I pressed number five and I got a lovely young lady named Kenan on the line and she was able to assist with everything that I needed. She did advise that the phone in the automotive area is not working which is why I was having some issues. So Im very appreciative of her effort and she was able to get me availability and price and I think she deserves some kudos. So I have been trying to get somebody to pick up the phone at Walmart now for 30 minutes because I need key information for later on and I have not been able to get anybody but one person who sounded like he didnt want to be at work to pick up the phone I do not understand where all the humans are? Is this Walmart ran by robots? I just dont understand why you cant answer the phone.

09/24/2024 I own a trucking company, and I cant believe that this Walmart doesnt accept cash. I have credit cards, etc. But what will happen to the other people who only have cash? I consider it discrimination against low-income people. Thats my opinion. I hope this gets better for low-income people. Thanks. Im going to say it clearly as they say in my country (which is the American territory of Puerto Rico) and as my dad said, they are racist and discriminate against homeless people who do not have access to a credit or debit card. Employees outright refused to let my 82 year old grandmother check out because she wanted to pay in cash. This happened a bit before 8 pm when this location closes at 11. Walmart did not respect price sign as it was advertised for the cokes. When we spoke to a manager, Ali, team lead came but was rude and just told us that wasn t the price for the cokes and that it was a mistake and left. He didn t even fix the false advertisement price sign. Overall bad customer service and did not respect advertised price sign.

08/15/24 Yesterday, I visited the Auto center for a oil change and to get my tires replaced. Tires that I purchased from Walmart and are under warranty. Rafael deleted my info from the system so I was unable to get them replaced. Its all on the store camera, . Went tonl this Walmart at 7am 8/9/24 and I received the worst customer service from 2 employees. Chris in the automotive section had to price check a few items. School items were marked .50 cents but the ring up showed 3.98. He asked the floor manager about the advertised price and she didnt want to honor the advertisement. She even got upset with me because she believed the price of .50 was incorrect. They reluctantly gave me the items for .50 and removed the labels from the shelf. Customer service is null and void at this store so dont go expecting to for employees greet you or say thank you. Its rare at this location. Best believe the door top flight security will eye ball you down to see your receipt as you leave the store.

Nette or Antoinette is the name she gave me works in customer service after I asked and she flipped her badge over. She has a really nasty attitude and shouldn t be in customer service. My negative experience on Sunday, August 4, 2024 was awful. I would fire her on the spot if I was a manager. She s too old not to have sense enough not to bring her problems or wherever that attitude came from to work. Walmart has invested a lot of money in this location trying to compete with HEB but it won t matter if you continue to tolerate horrible customer service displaying disrespect to customers asking her merely to do her job. I won t go into detail but it has something to do with asking for a employee discount to be keyed in after the clerk who checked me out told me to go to customer service to have them key in my discount card since it wouldn t scan at the register. The issue is how Nette handles the ask. I ll be calling the district manager about this because if no one says anything you know the rest.

Had to wait twenty minutes and ask 4 different people to open the case to the eye drops, no one walked over after asking 4 separate people and waiting over 20 minutes, ridiculous, and they weren t understaffed at all. The worst Walmart and customer service in Pearland. Rodric is the manager per receipts because I ve never seen or heard from him. But Antoinette Perry (coach) and Zeena some type of (mgr) have the worst customer service and attitudes. Their employees have more sense but have to follow what Ms. I said what I said and I m higher up, Antoinette), I feel sorry for anyone under all this management. And Courtney ONeal (front end coach) who just sends out the emails to respond to complaints sent from Walmart online but doesn t solve anything. Besides the bad management, don t shop for food or anything edible if you do check dates and freshness looks, everything. They sell outdated, rotten foods them don t want to refund or replace at the least. This is why I hardly ever will buy any food here and when I do, well you see what happens. Perfect location. Products supply great. However the customer service is awful every time. Make up section takes over 45 mins to receive assistance, employees state manager is the only one with a key to unlock products. Same situation in the spray paint department. It s always more convenient for me to buy products with other stores due to convenience of time. Management needs to organize a better rhythm to supply customers in store waiting for assistance to purchase items.

Poor.. they have stuff locked up and have this button to press to get assistance for them to get what you need. Been standing for 15 minutes seen an employee and asked him but he said he was going to lunch and will tell someone and still no one came. Then pressed it again still no one came. I saw another employee she said she had no key and will ask someone to help me. Finally someone did after 20 min of waiting. This was the pet section trying to get some flea medicine. So sad

I showed up at 710 for an oil change. I finally asked for my vehicle at 840 because my vehicle had not moved and there had inly been one vehicle in front of me in my lane. The employee appologized and said he was the only person there to do oil changes with 2 lanes being used. On tip of that there was Jo employee at the auto counter so I had to walk around the building in the rain to request my car because the door to the shop stays locked.

This Walmart is consistently terrible. The new self checkout is a joke. Plan on spending a long, long time in line. Last week the employee told me the manager for the department didnt show up, so only 4 self check out were open. Today, it was the same long line and complete and total chaos. There were several self check out open and only TWO assisted. The pharmacy techs are rude and dont even answer questions, they just keep tapping on their computer. This Walmart has been terrible for the last couple years, which indicates to me it wont get better, as it seems senior management doesnt get involved. Their is a Target across the street...give it a try and vote against this Walmart with your choice and your feet.

Walmart has been A Staple for Pearland and we have enjoyed the location closest to 288 for almost 30yrs. our demographics have changed since Katrina and our crime rate has definitely increased. The hours have changed and I sure wish you were 24 hours again. I truly understand the problems with security and theft, but I sure wish this Walmart was 24 hours again.
