Let me just start off by saying for me to go through the hassle of leaveing a review the food was either incredible or absolutely terrible and it s not the first option. The service was horrendous there is a older short haired lady who simply has no manners or decency to try to be a good waiter she would consistently toss the straws on the table and border line slam the plates hard enough to startle you and overall had a terrible attitude. When we asked for simple things such as more orange juice or asking about an item she acted as if it was a burden, the food itself took well over 45 minutes to be served despite only haveing a moderate amount of people in the diner. The food itself was decent but my goodness the price was ridiculous for a hamburger patty sized chicken fried chicken, eggs whith bacon and sausage and biscuits and gravy It totaled $63!!! You can eat at a quality restaurant whith good service for that same price the whole experience as a whole was utterly disappointing and I don t not recommend.

This is one of my absolute favorite places to eat breakfast at in odessa. The atmosphere is so peaceful and calming. The waiters are so nice and the food is absolutely comforting and delicious. Perfect place to bring your family to breakfast. Lots of lovely memories in this place.

The avocado was like rubber and after when I got home like it s just weird because like some of the food was overcooked like the avocado that I have was like kind of like rubber and it was just so disgusting I couldn t even buy the avocado.

This is a great little place for good country cooking. I especially like the breakfast here. My favorite meal is the Steak and eggs with a biscuit and sausage gravy. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because I dont always get my steak as ordered, a med-rare and there is at least one server who is not very personable. Its almost as if she is being forced, against her will, to work there! I always try to sit in the section where my favorite server is, Ill even wait for a table if his section is full!

Edit. Turned out i personally knew owner and he addressed all my concerns with a heartfelt apology. Amending review from 1star to 5star Walked in and sat myself down. Was patient because although not full could be construed as busy. Sat myself. No one acknowledged me. Waited over five minutes. Couple who entered after me had order taken. Father and son who entered seconds ahead of me, were approached by server and began placing their order. I assumed I must be in section of server who was cashing out customers. Another couple enters and sits at table next to me. Server cashing out customers finished, grabbed two menus and walked past me to a couple who had just entered and sat at table next to me. assumed I was not in her section either. Waitress finished up taking father and son. Walked up to couple who had just received menus and began to take their order. At that point I decided I was invisible and walked out. If John still owns this establishment, he would be horrified at this level of non customer service. If it is under different ownership now, your staff has made a poor impression.

We came in for the first time and were greeted by some delicious pastries and friendly staff. The menu was easy to read with sooo many yummy choices it was hard to pick what to order... meatloaf, chicken fried chicken, robust salads, or sandwiches. We selected the chicken and turkey sandwiches with our choice of fries or chips. Service was slow but friendly. The food tasted amazing. The decor was fresh and not cluttered and everything was clean. We both decided that we could eat here again and again on this trip. I highly recommend eating here if youre not in a hurry but save room for dessert!

So excited to have found this little gem!! Called in my order for pick up chicken fried steak, hash browns, two eggs over Medium and a cute little Texas shaped blueberry waffle all for $16.87 after taxes!! Excellent service! Food is on point! And very reasonable! Where are you going to find that these days The Copper Kettle that s where! Definitely recommend my new go to for breakfast. Can t wait to try the pastries beautiful setup as you walk in!!

I absolutely love this place!!! The service is always great and even though they are really busy you always get in and get plenty of attention! The deserts are so good that they sell up front! I love the big boy omelet here, I usually share that with my wife along with hashbrowns, a biscuit and gravy with a blueberry waffle with pecans!!! I also love getting the chicken fried steak and eggs too! Come grub down if you get a chance!

Really cute little Diner-style restaurant. Went there for breakfast with the family. I had some chicken fried steak and eggs which was delicious. Ordered the special, Chicken Speghetti. There was very little if any chicken in the meal. It was more like chicken noodle soup, but, but, drier and chicken less. It did have a good flavor, which the side dish of corn lacked. The waitress was friendly, but, not very attentive. The meals were $12.99 and the drinks, $2.99. Very overpriced.

We Ordered two omelettes, both came out runny and undercooked. We let the waitstaff know. Thinking they would be remade since we already had salsa and seasoning on them, however they were just microwaved and brought back to us with the same toast, jellied, and sides on the plate. I have been coming to this rstaraunt for months. I always have my service dog with me and theres been no issue. Someone bought out the restaurant and its under new management. I came in today and the new owner tried to tell me that I couldnt have my service dog with me. My service dog is diabetic alert. The employee proceeded to ask me how she does her job and all kinds of questions that shes not allowed to ask about my service dog. They really need training in how to deal with service dogs.

First time. I showed up for breakfast. Food was good, overall, and arrived at a fair time. Service was great! The waiter that served me was conscientious and joyful. He was doing more than one thing at once and it showed that he really cared working there. Atmosphere was slightly confusing. The interior and exterior are fine, but the background music does not match the setting very well. One last note: The same individual that greeted me and walked me to my table was the one that was preparing silverware in front of the front door. I thought that was interesting as I have never seen that before. Aside from the last bit, this homey environment, that is Copper Kettle Cafe, is more than good enough for me to come back.

I have been here with my wife many times before, and by myself a few times. Today was way different from those times. My wife got there early to order coffee for her and water for me until i could arrive. the male waiter did not even ask how many would be seated so when i arrived my water was the smallest glass. when asking what we would like to order, we told him that we knew what we wanted. He proceeded to interact with all other tables of people that he already knew and continued to ignore us. He is the worst waiter in all of west texas never checked on us,and we had to wave him down to come to the table, i dont care if i dont know you, just when i say thank you for pouring my drink, at least say your welcome. The 1.00 dollar tip could have been spent on better people.

1,000% worth the drive from Midland! My pick up order was done in almost 10 minutes instead of the almost 30 I was given as an estimate and it was still perfectly warm despite me being a bit late since it was ready early. Despite getting in line behind 4 people for pick up I had my order in my hand in only a few minutes and the cashier was genuinely pleasant and smiling while also very efficient! I picked up the order to go before working a shift here in Odessa with my work but I can t wait to come back and dine in with friends and family. I ordered a sausage, egg and cheese croissant and a waffle and they were both some of the best I have ever had of those breakfast items . And I have had a lot of sausage breakfast croissants as they are one of my favorite breakfast foods! Super glad I discovered this wonderful place!

I ordered a grilled cheese and my husband ordered a patty melt, they took almost 45 mins to bring these two dishes out. The grilled cheese was super dry and small and just sad. The patty melt felt like it was microwaved and lacked seasoning. We had to eat our food with ketchup on every bite to make it even slightly less bad.

I have eaten here several times. The food is delicious and the hamburgers are great. I would rather make a takeout for hanburgers than get anything through a drive through. They are 100 percent better! The people are so nice and helpful and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. They have a bakery and a little shop with really neat things to buy. It is an all around favorite place to go. Everything is made from scratch and everything I have gotten is very good. The friends and my grandchildren, from little to grown, that I have taken there have liked the food. They are only open for breakfast and lunch and close at 2:00 pm. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. 5 stars for sure.

The people are the greatest!!!! All food is made from scratch. Not very many places can say that. Its like doing the cooking at home but I give them a for great taste. They also bake their own desserts from scratch and their delicious and definitely have appeal.

OMG!!! Some of the best breakfast we have had in a while. My hubby made the mistake of ordering an omelet and adding a short stack of pancakes. He was hungry but was not aware of the size of things. He tried to finish the pancakes tried.

6/12/21: I had the chicken fried steak with mash potatoes and bread. I chose the salad for my appetizer and it was fresh and good. I also ordered the fried mozzarella sticks and they were good. The chicken fried steak was pretty good with the gravy.

The biscuits tasted home-made and the sausage gravy was wonderful. Their serving sizes are great! Definitely Texas-sized portions. The atmosphere was comfortable, quiet, and small but not cramped.
