I had a couple of beers with appetizers watching a game and waiting for the food my family ordered. I ordered a third beer and they cut me off claiming some two drink maximum policy they have. Understand, they had already served my wife het third mixed drink. I am 62 290 lbs. I can handlebars than two beers with ease. I will never go back to Gringos.

We all work hard for our money and this is the restaurant to spend it at! Ive been here twice this week. Brandi was my server for lunch - she is bubbly, very attentive, has wonderful suggestions and makes it a great experience. I loved this place so much that I had to bring my husband back on a busy Saturday night and they did not disappoint. The hostess staff handled multiple large parties with ease and the wait was not very long at all. Our server Elmer was excellent. We wanted for nothing. The food was exceptional, our table was continuously cleared off (important as I am a former server myself) and our drinks were refilled in a timely manner Elmer made this an experience worth returning for! We will be back!

The food at this location is really good, but the curb side service is terrible, probably the worst I ve ever experienced. I have placed several orders over the past few weeks and it seems to be getting worse every visit. There is no reason I should be told that they prioritize dine-in, over take out when it comes to preparing the orders. Waiting 20 minutes longer than promised for my curb side order is unacceptable and then to get the order wrong come on.

11:08 and it was packed on all sides. Even the bar was full. Female bartender made me a lemon drop did a decent job too much lemon for my taste but its OK bc thats subjective. Overall did an amazing job. As always. Food came out quickly and did not expect that. Hands down one of my favorite places to eat. Baby loved it too and thats what matters to me most. I ordered the Pollo El Dorado. It was horrible! The picture in menu looked great with the cheddar cheese on top and cojita white cheese on top of that. My plate did not look like that at all! Little to no cheese and a brown looking gravy. I was with a group of ten so I did not want to make a scene. I had the Queso Loco with chicharrones for appetizer. It was great as usual but the Pollo El Dorado was awful. The sausage chunks appeared to be reheated as well the chicken.

Gringo s is one of my favorite restaurants. However, I placed an order for curbside pickup and it was supposed to be ready in about 30 minutes. When, I arrived at 3:06 P.M. my order was not ready. I called the restaurant at 3:24 P.M. I did speak with someone and they apologized and said it ll be out soon. I placed my order at 2:29 PM and I didn t get my order until 3:26 PM. Also, the tortillas that came with my order weren t in the bag neither were the extra chips I asked for. Food was good as always but waiting on my order for almost a hour is horrible!

So its like all these restaurants dont want to give food thats actually going to sustain life they want to give you high cholesterol, diabetes, high blood pressure, salt grease fat and sugar but I wanted some something with some vegetables so I was giving like a half a handful of shredded lettuce and then told I would be charged extra if I wanted some more vegetables on a plate that was fixing to cost me $20! We made the reservation through the app and 49 people were ahead of us. When it was our turn after waiting for over 2 hours, we approached the hostess just to find out we were not in their system and our waiting time was still over an hour. The manager was not helpful and managed the awful experience very poorly. We were able to have a very good time with family and friends at Buffalo Wild Wings next door.

As far as Tex-Mex goes, this is my favorite! They have the best salsa by far. Their chicken enchiladas with tomatillo sauce, AKA enchiladas verdes con pollo, is so incredibly flavorful and juicy! They use seasoned pulled chicken instead of fajita chicken which makes it delicious! The rice is also very good. The charro beans are good for restaurant charro beans but they dont beat homemade. My one negative is the new watermelon margarita is not it at all. It is mostly all artificial flavor with some chunks of watermelon soaked in tequila. When I think watermelon anything, I think refreshing. This was just gross.

Crowded. They refused to seat any of our party of 10 until all 10 had arrived. Once seated, the space they gave us was for 8, not 10 as they seemed to expect 6 people to squeeze into a bench where there was only room for four. Drinks took over 30 minutes to be delivered. I just have to leave a review for the waitress we had last night, Mackenzie!! We came in with a huge party (for a friends birthday) of 5 adults, 2 teenagers and 7 kids. Ive been here several times now when in town visiting my girlfriend, and here are my notes: The pastor was surprisingly good, but bring your own salsa if you really want to enjoy it. The table salsas are not adequate to flavor this dish, and it does not come with another salsa. The fish tacos are good, but can be inconsistent. The first time we had them, they were excellent. The second time, the batter was oversalted. The third time, my fish was soaked in some kind of liquid and the batter was soggy. The cucumber slaw they serve it with is really tasty though. As sides, Weve tried the charro beans and black beans and both are way oversalted. Other notes: the drinks are good, the service is friendly, and they have a cute and nostalgic self service, complimentary frozen yogurt machine that reminds me of family restaurants I went to when I was a kid in East Texas.

6-23-24 We are from out of town and decided we wanted to try something new that we didn t have back at home. So we decided to try Gringos, from the moment we stepped into the door we were greeted by the hostess and she was nice. We didn t catch her name. But anyways we got to our table and our waitress named India came and her energy and the vibes she gave us was matching our vibes and energies. We did have rewards to use and after telling her we would use them she charged for the whole bill. I think she realized because then she came back and we got another receipt that said a less amount. Ive been a regular customer at Gringos Mexican Kitchen in New Caney, Texas, and typically, their food is nothing short of exceptional. Their dishes are flavorful, well-prepared, and consistently satisfying. However, my most recent experience was unfortunately quite disappointing. I ordered a chicken quesadilla for takeout, and upon returning home and taking a bite, I discovered that the chicken inside was cold and seemed undercooked. This was a significant letdown, especially considering my past experience with food poisoning from chicken at another establishment. Although I didnt get sick this time, the undercooked chicken made me quite uneasy. I could only manage to eat half of one piece of the quesadilla. Given my positive experiences in the past, I am giving Gringos a 3-star rating. I hope this was an isolated incident, as I have always enjoyed their food before this. Nonetheless, this experience has left a lasting impression, and I hope to see improvement in their quality control for takeout orders in the future.

The server, India, needs to change her approach when conveying to customers about the rewards program, start off with the cost, not when asked. And dont get an attitude when a customer decides they dont want it. The attitude went from bad to worse. We had to get our own silverware w/napkin and plate for chips. It was the worst experience ever. And because we felt the service didnt warrant a reward for a tip, she tried to say we didnt square away our bill, do the math, we did. Cynthia was our waitress and she is outstanding. In all honesty it s not the food that brings us back it s the service she provides. We now ask for her every time we come in, she s always worth the wait.

The food was great and the service was really good. They were super busy a very good indication that the food was good. Stopped in again tonight. The food was good as always . I had theneef fajita nachos and she had 3 beef enchiladas. We cleaned our plates. The waiter was very courteous and polite. Great combination.

Review Update: Gringos corporate reached out and offered to try and make this right for us. They gave us a $50 comp card. So, we went back and gave them a second chance. It was a very different experience this time. The wait was kind of long, but it was a Saturday Night, so I expected a good wait. we were greeted within 2 minutes of being sat. Drinks were on the table within 5. Food was great and came out quickly. The server was very attentive. The restaurant was clean, and the ice cream machine was closed up properly this time. I was beyond satisfied and would be happy to visit again. Thank you, Gringos for making the effort and showing us that our first visit was an anomaly. Original review - Never again! Im able to take my family out to dinner 3 maybe 4 times a year. This place was terrible. Waited 40 minutes for a table. Ordered drinks and appetizers, then waited 20 minutes for the beer to get there. They brought one of our appetizers and never brought the other. The manager delivered the beer and didnt say a single word to us. Then they brought out half of my food and none of my families. We waited another 20 minutes for our food which finally arrived. Then within 10 minutes of getting our food they are bringing my check and boxes already trying to rush us out. My kids wanted ice cream but we couldnt even enjoy that because the top of the machine was open and the soft serve was exposed to the open air. It had all sorts of chunky crud floating in the ice cream mix. At least the food was decent but not worth putting up with the rest. Dont waste your money. So disappointed.

The best plan to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. The delicious food, the delicious drinks and the atmosphere I loved it! The only BIG drawback was that the waitress when serving us ONLY addressed my husband, which was more than uncomfortable, super disrespectful on her part! From start to finish his attention was solely and exclusively for him! Super disrespectful!

Update 5/2024: Weve been back at least 20 times since this review and have always had great food and greag service. The restaurant is constantly upgrading their amenities and making the menu better. The food is fair priced, thr queso is always on point and the ranch water always perfect. Giving it two stars because thats what they truly earned. Weve been there 5 times and they got the order correct twice. To be fair, their food is actually pretty good and priced fair but the service and management is subpar to say the least. Tonight we gave them another chance and our waitress started off good but after ordering our food we saw her two times after that. My wife got her cold plate and then we waited 20 min and nothing. I had to flag down a manager and he had to tell the kitchen to make our plates....and he still forgot something I asked for on the side. It is what it is I guess. Its really too bad because the food and drinks are good. Guess well continue to make the drive to Chachis in Kingwood or even Pueblo Veijo in Porter. They both have better service. ***EDIT*** Big thanks to Lindi from Gringos corporate for reaching out to help make our dining experience better and help coach your staff to be the best service providers they can be.

We ve been going to this gringo a lot and never had a bad experience. Today was something else. Our server Kaylie was unattended to us and we noticed that the food was taking longer than usual but it wasn t a big deal to us until Kaylie came up and said that our food was ready and then proceeded to turn around and start having a 15 minute conversation with her table while we still waited for our food. And we notice she was being more attentive to the table across and we also noticed that she had took our orders first before the other table and somehow they received their food before us. Once we got our food, it felt like it was under a heater. We lost our appetite and when she came back to us we asked for the check and to-go boxes. Then she took another 15 minutes just to get 2 things. It didn t appear to be busy this evening

I m a 100% disabled veteran and this restaurant does not honor a military discount if you get to go food. It only honors the military discount if you dine in. Being disabled and with copd I do not care to be around a large group.And they also have a soldiers plate
