Been eating at Dans all over town for years. Never understood why they make a burger upside-down. Tastes good. Gets messy with mustard and veggies on the bottom of the meat. Still, great taste. Breakfast always incredible. Wish I didnt have to build my own huevos Ranchero now. Yall got all the stuff. And bring the chicken fried steak back please. That being said, Dans is marvelous and I pray yall never go away. Thanks! Hey, a guy named Ru takes care of business like Elvis if you know what I mean. I was contemplating between 3 and 4 and decided on 4 considering the price of lunch here. If I were to rate the burger flavour I d give 3. The meat patty is super thin, I wish the person taking the order would have noted that, taken I was asking about the difference between single and double meat and size anyhow- the meat is very thin, I prefer thicker patties. The burger is mostly bun and veggies. Not a fan, but tastes alright. The curly fries were great. I was also hoping they would have some special sauce but no. Why 4 stars? The burger and fries were under 10$, the fries were great and the burger was ok. The place was clean service was pleasant and quick. If I m around I may give it a second chance but with a ruble meat

Visited Dans today 1 / 3 / 22 , quality of the beef and taste of the burgers has gone down hill drastically over the past few years , if Dan was alive he would have a fit and heads would roll . Shame on you upper management for ruining the best burger around . Today is 9/24 /2024 8 pm , this was my very last trip to Dans , burger tasted like it was cooked with some rancid oil . Hey Dans you do not have to fix it because I will never be back , from now on its WHATA BURGER .

Well, Im glad I tried it and marked it off the list. I dont think it was anything special for the price. I sat at the bar cause the tables that were empty were dirty. The bar itself was sticky and the chair was broken. This place could use a little tlc as the vent were nasty and things were sticky.

Waited 30 minutes in a line for 2 cheeseburgers, I asked for no onions 3 times and still got onions. The person working the drive thru was petting the dogs in the cars in front of me with his gloves on. This place used to give great service but it really has gone down hill. Today was pretty bad. Even thought the menu is simple the cashier with the blue hair couldn t even take my order right, then right before paying I repeated what I wanted and she said yes that s what she had. After I got my receipt I noticed I was missing items so I went back to tell that same cashier and she said oh ok and placed my missing items just to find out it was the 8th order after my original one. Yes food was hot and fresh but was lacking seasoning on the beef patties, even the fries had no salt. Very disappointing with food and services, maybe is just this location that s bad. Not worth it anymore!

Stopped here on our way to San Antonio from Waxahachie at 9:15 and it was CLOSED. We called cause there was a long line at the drive thru, and asked if we can go in to use the bathroom and I eat real quick the workers response was no we re trying to get out of here too . My husband loves the burgers here so we go in the drive thru line anyway. We waited for over 30 minutes to order and when we were finally able to order they weren t serving shakes cause their shake machine was closed for the night they couldn t give us onion rings either for whatever reason. The food was nasty after we finally got it , the curly fries weren t curly or fresh they were burnt. This place is not what it used to be. The standards need to be held higher on employees.

The morning really does look like a place that caters for people outside of my age range. Burger was pretty good curly fries, way more than you need. I did happen to have an air conditioning vent that had condensation dripping down on top of me while I was eating. I never once in a while to mess up like a ticket that says no tomatoes but a burger with tomatoes. Chalked up to just that day probably was a little off. Definitely dont mind going back.

Omg was looking for and old burger place called steak&shake ran across this place in Buddha Texas before you get to Austin,it has got to be the best burger place that Ive been to called Dans burgers the place is small and quaint burger very clean and well staffed the dining room area is plenty big for families and if your on your own.the burger and onion rings were both well cooked I ordered a double meat which brought tears to my eyes remembering how good and juicy a burger should be both items were brought out nice and hot freshly cooked and not cold like other places that I wont mention but we all know where these places are, trust me whenever Im on my way to Austin or coming back from this will definitely be my burger place from now on the food is so good Id even be willing to make a special trip on my days off just to partake of another great meal like todays yum yum !!! Parking: There is plenty of parking on the side and back and towards rear of building just an FYI during the breakfast rush and lunch hours it does get full. Kid-friendliness: There are a number of families that do take thier children to eat there never have seen staff get after or complain if children make noise or get after children for accidentally dropping food on the floor. Wheelchair accessibility: There are a few spots for handicapped parking in front and do have van accessible also .

You CANNOT go wrong ordering anything on the menu at Dans. My dad used to take me & my brothers to the Dans on S. Congress when we were little kids (before it was Frans, and now Torchys). We would always get the same thing- Hickory Cheese Burgers, and a Large Fries, to share. He would dump the fries out onto the tray at the middle of the table, and squeeze some ketchup by the side. Although it may not be the same original location- Im proud to report that Ive been carrying on this tradition with my own kids for many years now. Thank you Dans, for being one of the only consistent businesses in this ever-shifting landscape called Austin! P.S.- The breakfast is excellent, too!
