First time here, and definitely not my last. Food here is so yummy. The Cuban sandwich served with potato salad is great, thick slice of ham and the shredded pork go so well with the pickled red onions and pickles, the brown mustard and kraut give it just the right lean into the German food that s oh so popular in new braunfels. The grits I got just as a side and I got more than I bargained for. Everything about them was delicious, the texture was phenomenal and the Parmesan flavor was just the right touch. My server was also just on top of it today, it looked like she was the only server for the patio but she was hustling and bustling and I never had to wait on a thing. I m so happy I took her recommendation for the Cuban, and I will definitely be back to try more. The whole menu is so impressive, and there s a free parking lot about a block behind the roundabout so parking is no trouble if you re up for the small walk lol.

Terrible service. Waited 20 minutes for our drink order then left. Waitress seemed very overwhelmed and miserable. Table next to ours had been waiting for their food for 40 minutes. They re located in a prime location so I m sure they ll never have a shortage of customers but they most definitely don t that their poop together.

We had a rough morning and we came in here and every one was so kind and sweet! Stephanie made some kick-ass coffees and our server, Mitchel , was so awesome! Not only was the vibe amazing, but the food was to die for. The sweet potato hash was the best breakfast I ve had in Texas so far. We will be coming back!!

Stopped in for their mimosa bar and spilt a pulled pork sandwich. The food & drinks were amazing! David and Mitchell were working and they took exceptional care of us. Their breakfast sandwiches and so good too and all their baked good are wonderful! Love the sidewalk seating - great place to people watch. Highly recommend giving it a try.

Went there for Father s Day. It wasn t very busy but we were told to wait and we patiently did. Then the hostess to go to another door entrance and didn t bother to walk us there and seat us. We were given a room where only another minority family was sat and then it took forever for anyone to even offer us water. The waitress was not very friendly and would say the service was bare minimum! Our food was just okay. My food was cold and I couldn t get the waitress fast enough to say anything and so I just ate my food cold. For the price you pay for food, the service and quality of food could have been much better. Wouldn t recommend and won t go back. I felt bad for my man because this was supposed to be a surprise treat for him to enjoy on Father s Day.

Had to beg for silverware ;which I never received , I had to go get it myself . The food was very mediocre for the price of the meals . I had four shrimp total in my sandwich , I can understand with today s food surges but that was absolutely ridiculous. Absolutely hated my experience 0/5 .

While the food was very delicious my experience wasn t perfect. First I want to give a huge shout out to Mitchell our server, after being a little confused about seating because we weren t helped as others immediately were, he made us feel very welcome as soon as we sat. Mitchell honestly saved my experience here, he was very attentive, very welcoming, and caring to any of our needs. As none of the other staff bothered to speak to us, which felt off because there was someone who might ve been the manager spoke to everyone but us. Overall I would go here again if Mitchell were to be my server, he truly did an amazing job and the food was delicious. I m not sure if it was just busy but I think this place could do a better job of making everyone feel welcomed.

Food was average at best but it might as well be a self serve buffet for the lack service from the wait staff. They drop off your food after you wait forever to order & pray its right because no one comes by to see. They arent even quick to drop a check but the machine is pre-loaded to leave a 20% tip! maybe a muffin outside on the patio is the safest choice here, no follow up necessary. We wont be back

Such a great impromptu stop! We wanted breakfast and although the we site said breakfast was on the weekends we decided to try it anyway. So glad we did! Breakfast is daily and it s delicious! The mimosas and coffee were also wonderful. The lunch menu looks fantastic too! The service is wonderful. Parking was easy. We will definitely be back. We sat on the front porch and enjoyed the birds and the breeze.

Had high hopes for this local spot, but it didn t hit the mark. Not clear where to check in for a table, staff seemed unorganized - not much communication between them. Tried to deliver food the the wrong tables multiple times. Grits were undercooked and crunchy, asked for crispy bacon and wasn t even close. Eggs and biscuit were average.

My wife and I came to New B for a kid free weekend. We chose The mess around for brunch. It DID NOT disappoint!! Amazing food, great fun servers. Mitchell in the Harvard sweater was on his second day and did a fantastic job!!!! David our server was a complete bad a**!!! The owner greeted us and checked on us. It was an amazing experience, and worth the short wait to get in!!!

Tried to go on a Friday at 5:30 for happy hour. Sign states happy hour from 3-6 EVERDAY!! Lights were on and open sign was illuminated. Doors were locked and nobody was inside. Then the bartender came up and completely ignored me as I tried to open the door. I had to knock on the glass for him to acknowledge me. Then he uses his hand across his neck. I asked what that meant and he said we re closed. So much for happy hour from 3 to 6 every day and closing time at 9 PM.

I m not sure why the good reviews! The food was nothing special and the service was horrible! They bring the food from the next door coffee shop so it s pretty cold by the time you get it. Had a big group so that might have been the problem but the server was very overwhelmed. We got Coffee no cream or sugar, no silverware after asking multiple times. Everyone was served and we had to ask multiple times for missed items. They brought my son s bacon out right before we went to leave. Over was ok food but I wouldn t recommend for a large group in the am.

Good Lord! This was SUCH a hidden gem! My GOODNESS the food was amazing! We started with the deviled eggs which were the BOMB .... not sure what the between sauce was, but it elevated these to a level Ive never experienced with deviled eggs. The jalapeno cornbread was phenomenal! We had the Cajun meatloaf and fried chicken. Chicken cooked to perfection and so crispy! The mashed potatoes were crazy good, the black eyed peas were stellar! Yall know you need to be in here on New Years Day to get those black eyed peas! The collard greens look good but I dont eat those. Even with only two people working, the service was amazing and fast. Do. Not. Sleep. On. This. Place. The hot chocolate looked amazing, the kolaches were something of perfection Ive never seen before. I was going to get one to take home for breakfast, but I was just too stuffed. But Ill be back for that! If I had one critique, it would be that fried chicken had a little more flavor. It does come with mushroom gravy, but I dont eat gravy so I left that off.

We booked The Mess Around s private room for a bridal brunch and not only was the venue spacious, comfortable and beautiful but the food was absolutely delicious. Pimento cheese deviled eggs and shrimp and grits were a crowd favorite!! Jennifer was incredibly accommodating, despite working around a busy holiday season. Overall great atmosphere! I can honestly say I have never left a review for anything, but this place surprised me. I went on two separate occasions, once during the week and once during the weekend. Each time they did not have biscuits and gravy. The second time I observed another customer ask for them after me so we got to share our sadness together. The service was slow and managed to get my order incorrect twice. My eggs were served cold but other than that the food was good. The coffee I ordered extra hot came out room temperature. The staff is friendly and I wanted to like this place but it s incredibly expensive and to be this incompetent consistently is a shame. I don t recommend.
