I had an extremely disappointing experience at Landa Park Aquatic Complex. The ticketing staff was incredibly rude and unprofessional. We were charged $30 as a deposit for two life vests, with the promise that it would be refunded when we returned them. However, when we went to return the vests at 7 PM, they refused to refund our money, claiming that the vests needed to be returned by 6:45 PM. The ticketing person never mentioned this return time, and when we confronted her, she argued that she had informed us. If she had, how did the other two families behind us, who faced the same issue, miss this information as well? There were no disclaimers, no information notices, and we didn t even receive a receipt for the deposit. They took back the vests but kept our deposit, which felt like a scam. I think that money went straight into their pockets. When we tried to address this issue, the manager called a ranger who was rude and dismissive. The ranger didnt bother listening to our side of the story and instead threatened to call the cops. The situation escalated unnecessarily, and we were treated with racial prejudice. I will be taking this matter to the City of New Braunfels Parks and Recreation Department to report this fraudulent and discriminatory behavior. This place is nothing but a scam, with staff who are not only unprofessional but also discriminatory. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and go elsewhere!

Worst experience when I visited yesterday. While purchasing entry tickets we were charged 15$ per life vest as the staff mentioned it would be refunded upon returning the vests. While returning at the closure time, we were said the cut off time to return life vest was at 6.45 and the charges won t be refunded. Myself and my friend family have got 2 life vests each (30$ + 30$) was not refunded. When asked Atleast if we could have the vests with us as they won t return our money , it was also denied and they took the vests back. 60$ is a huge money, requesting city to help us on this to get our refunds as the policies were not mentioned clearly by staff while purchasing and we were first timers for this place.

**Update, still 5 stars! Water cold, awesome rope swing. Plenty of space for a picnic under the shade. We stayed from open to close. Only downside was the slide was closed** First time visiting, and we are ready to go back. Fantastic place, clear COLD crisp water, and fun activities like the rope swing and huge slides. Lots of lifeguards. We went on a Friday and it was very busy but still room for everyone to swim. I recommend bringing life jackets for young swimmers. The kids area has 2 fun slides, just not a huge area. Theres just enough shade for everyone to have a small shady spot to enjoy lunch. I did notice 3 different people smoking cigarettes, even though its stated on the rules its not allowed. Also, please make sure your trash ends up IN the trash can.

Absolutely horrible experience!!!! If you have children 3 or under then this is NOT the place to go!! No signs were posted that anything was closed so when the manager (John) saw us he came over and yelled at us like me and my wife were children. I have an autistic daughter that after I finally got out of the pool after a huge melt down John made her then wait the 5 extra minutes until the ride was open. Mind you my child is having a melt down due to her disability and John went to get his co workers so they can mock her while we waited until the pool was open 12:05pm

I love it here! The place is affordable, safe, and unique to the town. I love bringing my family and setting up a picnic nearby because you can truly spend all day there. As far as admission goes, you can get a day pass or a season pass. A 2.75% service fee will apply to all credit/debit card transactions. The area is well kept and there are plenty of lifeguards around. This especially important since of the water can get pretty deep. Make sure you check the operating hours before going and that you park in a legal spot. They have a large parking lot in front of the facility that is FREE. There are also FREE parking areas all throughout Landa Park.

Specifically went on a Wednesday because online it said both spring fed and Olympic pool were open on said day needless to say they weren t. Not only was the Olympic pool closed but the wet Willie slide was also closed. And of course since the Olympic pool was closed that led to the other being much more crowded. I also watched a child go under the pool float rope multiple times back and forth but the life guard was paying no attention to what the people in the water were doing but instead spent the entire time she was standing there talking to 4 boys. I remember coming here when I was a kid and was so excited to take my son but was super disappointed. Do better yall.

The lessons were fun, the coach Ania (sp) was professional. I am a grandmother writing this review, so I hope my grandson s parents get a refund for the missed days.

Upon entering the swimming area you do have to pay which the prices can be different from the weekday prices to the weekend prices. No alcohol, speakers, or styrofoam. They do check coolers, in line. You get a band to have in and out access. The pool area is big goes up to 6ft starts from 4ft. They have a kiddie pool area. Minimal seating around the pool so bringing outdoor foldable chairs, you can bring coolers with food. No food court, but they have a vendor on site that sells ice cold snacks. On the river side the water is deeper, colder, has a swing to jump from, a slide, plenty of space to set up. They have a playground and even shallow areas for the little ones to swim. You can bring floats, life jackets, and swimming tubes to the river side. They close at 7pm but I highly recommend that you take the littles one to get refreshed!!!

CALL FIRST - Springfed pool schedule is unreliable - Love this place but whoever schedules the springfed pool is confusing. The springfed pool is closed on Tuesdays for maintenance, but I have been going the entirety of this week and the springfed pool has not been completely open once. The only time it had a swimming portion open was this past Monday (still about half of the pool was closed). Since, its only been the rope swing open wed/ thurs, and today (Friday) the Springfed isnt open at all. Meaning it was only open once this week (you cant swim by rope swing). Maybe alternate staff locations.. I heard staffing was an issue but the springfed is the main attraction and it was clear the rope swing wasnt being used much after the first two hours on both days (people kinda stood confused by the springfed pool for awhile). Despite not having enough staff for the springfed for basically the whole week, the zero pool always remained staffed. Same with the Olympic pool (except on their Maintenace day Monday of course) Figured New Braunfels would do a better job at maintaining consistency of this place, especially during Summer. Maybe add to your website that the scheduling of the Springfed is choppy and that calling ahead is a MUST.

Negative review incoming: It took years of complaining for Das Rec to finally open up their lane swimming to the public with suitable hours. Thank you for that Well now we have Landa pool. Great pool, great prices BUT THEY HATE SWIMMERS!!!! This is nothing but a glorified kiddie pool filled with two-year-olds with water wings on. NOT EVEN ONE LAP SWIMMING LANE OPEN! DO BETTER CITY OF NEW BRAUNFELS I CAN T EXPRESS HOW MUCH OF A CONSTANT DISAPPOINTMENT THIS IS CITY IS. You re creating a city designed for disabled and obese. I m close to either applying for your head city planning job or in the least showing up to every city council meeting to make sure you pull your heads out of your butts.

Water is always crispy. Take your tubes/floaties or pool noodle, adult area is deep. Childrens area has has a play area and some slides. Tube shoot is wild lol nice shaded area for a picnic. Can take in snacks/coolers/chairs. My only negative is the algae. Wear water shoes. Its very slippery. I would think since theyre charging an entrance fee theyd maybe scrape some of the algae off the floor or maintenance it a little. Other then that, its a great place to take your family.

Ice chests are allowed in so you can bring your own food. There s plenty of stuff for the kids to do from a rope swing, swimming pools, treehouse & a 10 foot water slide! We went on a holiday so it was packed, but there was still room to relax & enjoy yourself without it feeling overwhelming. Our only regret is we didn t ride the train that s on property. Maybe next time! This place is reasonable in price & we had no problem finding parking Highly recommend visiting this place!

Went and the river is beautiful. Access is a little tricky because theres an abundance of algae in the spring fed pool. The problem is both of the upper pools (the olympic style swimming pool and the kids one just behind the entrance) were closed. They claimed not to have enough life guards to open them up. Youre still required to pay full price even if you cant access the full facility. Also judging by how many life guards were aimlessly wondering around not actively being utilized it was a matter of poor management of resources and not a labor shortage. I was a life guard for many years, I know what Im talking about. Great place but very poorly run/managed.

I almost gave this four stars instead of five but then realized that any minor complaints I had were far outweighed by how cheap it is to get in. The place is great. They let you bring in your own food and drinks (as long as there is no glass or alcohol) and chairs which I highly recommend because my only real complaint is that there arent enough tables or benches. The spring fed lake is nice and cool and clean enough for a lake type experience accompanied by a rope swing, slide, and flotilla. And if you get too cold there you can hop over to the heated swimming pool which was practicality spotless when we went. The bathrooms have changing areas complete with showers and there are even vending machines and a kiddie area all included in one entrance fee. A great bargain and day out for the whole family!

Fun but water is very dirty in some places. Life jackets are 15 dollars and they said we get our money back when we return it, so when my family returned 2 of them along with other people they said we are not alowed to get the money back since they informed everybody and said on the speakers return at 6:45pm but not a single person heard, when we said can we keep the jackets since we paid they said no.

VERY family friendly! If youre visiting new Braunfels with little ones its a great way to experience the spring fed water. Located in Landa Park which is one of the most beautiful parks in the area. This place is so much fun. Spring fed pool area with kiddie water slides, a water tree house with slide, and a huge mushrooms water fall. Has a large pool area with an adult parachute slide. Lots of grassy area for families. Also has a regular pool including bathrooms and changing area. There is a kiddie train right next to the pools that goes around a portion of the park. Its fun little scenic ride after spending the day at the pool. Both pool and train are inexpensive family fun in beautiful New Braunfels.
