Apparently when you place on order on the Las Palapas app you HAVE to pick it up inside. Because they are incapable of walking from one side of the restaurant to the other to hand you the food???? That makes no sense and is lazy and inconvenient. I come to this restaurant weekly. Not anymore.

Drive Thru- Best breakfast tacos, Thank you cook Fernando. The tacos were delicious, we had to call to let you know. We spoke to supervisor Jose who informed us of who the morning cook/supervisor. Thank you for the delicious food. Its been a while since weve eaten a taco this good!

We have been here a few times. For me, the staff has always been very attentive from the moment we walked in. Super friendly. I love their guisado plate, which is hard to find at other Mexican restaurants. It really tasty. The meat is super tender. The mole or sauce is delicious. The beans are perfect as it the rice. The homemade flour tortillas are so good. Super delicious. I have been here a few times. And will continue.

Las Palapas offered a decent experience, but it left much to be desired. The food was just okay lacked seasoning, and the chicken was watery. Given the quality, it felt a bit overpriced. It might be worth exploring other options if you re looking for more flavorful and reasonably priced meals. Pros: Quick service. Clean environment. Cons: Food lacked seasoning. Watery chicken. Overpriced for the quality.

Went through the drive thru order the 2 taco and med drink combo. 2 potato and egg tacos. Get to the window and they put cheese on the tacos even though I didn t ask for it(lactose intolerant and I have plans today). So they remade the tacos. Got charged over $2 extra because she rang in everything separate and not in the combo. Got that fixed inside with a nice manager. But got home to eat the tacos and the potatoes werent cooked through. Still hard and with the raw potato taste. Waste of my time and money

This has been our favorite location but kind of disappointed that serve wasn t good this time. We have been regular customers for while and several of the waiters know us well. Don t know if it was new staff or what but we were pretty ignored to set our order the waiter never brought us chip and salsa like they usually do while waiting for our order. She would just pass by our table to help other customers and it seen we were ignore. We hope next time we will be serve much better. Food was good like always though

I eat here 2-3 times a week and today they decided for the first time ever they are going to upcharge my plate an additional $3.99. When I questioned this, they said it has always been like this. I replied no it hasn t or I wouldn t order the plate that specific way. The waiter came back and said he would check and come back and told me the same thing. The manager didn t find it necessary to come and speak with me as requested. We paid for our drinks and left. We will not be back to this location.

Nice little sit down restaurant inside with a server. My server was excellent. That took me by surprise, since there is a drive through. Anyways, had a carne asada burrito. I had to take a star away because of the food. Actually, the food and the price. I realize the recent poor economy has affected a lot of places, but when you raise prices and lower portions at the same time, you cant expect much return business. Two breakfast tacos at $3.50 each and there was more tortilla than filling. And they werent even filling. Glad I didnt opt to spend an extra buck each for ten cents worth of cheese. The place was clean, but the seat cushions could use new covers. The service was excellent, but lets be honest, people go to a restaurant for food, and this was sub par.

I ordered food through Uber eats here last night, and everything was made and arrived in a timely fashion. This morning at 6:30, and for the last 9 hours since, Ive constantly been vomiting and diarrhea. I called the store to complain last night that the food was cold, so I asked him about their handling practices. They told me that they make everything fresh to order. I was concerned because the food was really cold, and I didnt want to get sick. They assured me that everything was handled safely. Today, Ive been vomiting gallons and gallons of yellow bile, and firing diarrhea constantly, and the only thing that Ive eaten in the last 24 hours was Las palapas. Literally cant be anything else besides the food that caused this. I contacted the store to let them know what happened. They told me that theyll call me back later, and when they did, they just said that theyd give me a coupon for more food, more of the same food that lost me a $600 work day today, and who knows how long Im going to be out of work as a result of this. The manager just started crying that I was threatening him when I said Id leave bad reviews, and said he doesnt care because they will just make it look good for the health department when they come as a response to this. So of course I said, this is a sleaz ball operation then. Thats when they hung up.

We love Las Palapas in New Braunfels. We always have a great time here. The service is always very good and very friendly. The margaritas are huge and they have a large variety. I really like the fajitas and nachos here. The food is affordable and not so outrageous. The waitresses are so very nice and always very helpful. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to family and friends.

I would try them again. The food (puffy taco & breakfast taco) was good. The menu wasnt very exciting but they do have a few things that I would return to try, in particular the chicken soups. They looked really good. The service was efficient but not particularly welcoming. The atmosphere was very slow but I was there for lunch on the Monday after Thanksgiving so that may have had something to do with how slow it was. Definitely worth a follow-up visit.

Where do I start! Entering a restaurant you never know what to expect with everything that comes with it- BUT ALEXIO greeted us quick and immediately took care of us. My experience was very bad, I have visited Las palapas in several locations and I never had bad service but the opposite happened to me at this place My husband and I placed two orders for breakfast and unfortunately the food was completely cold, not very pleasant to eat. My husband communicated with the waitress explaining what happened and asked her to please warm up his plate, so the waitress rose with a very bad attitude takes the plate out of her hands and heats up the food but she automatically has a terrible attitude we go to pay the bill and this Miss Rose throws away the ticket and leaves the register it was a very bad experience I understand that sometimes there are difficulties with the kitchen staff and that the waitresses are not to blame but in this case this waitress was too rude and that unfortunately leaves a bad score for the place. I hope they manage to improve this serious problem because a bad meal and Bad service is the combination for not returning and recommending a restaurant poorly, thank you.

We have ate here many times and gotten take out as well. Last night was our first bad experience. Our food took 40 minutes for an order of enchiladas and soup!!! The soup had obviously been setting unheated and warmed in the bowl in the microwave. I refused to eat it since I had no idea how long it was sitting out. Very little workers in the kitchen and only a few English speakers on the service side. Parking: Handicap spots are taken by people without handicap marked vehicles or placards. Difficult for mobility impaired to maneuver the tight parking spots in the regular parking.

My dad suggested this place to us since it was our last day in town. The waitress was very attentive. Anything we asked for or didnt was brought to us quickly. My husband and I shared a nacho plate. We were a bit surprised to see the nachos werent a pile of chips and loaded toppings. Because of that I dont think a full plate can be split between two people. However the food was good! My son loved the beans and rice and my niece shared some of the fries with him. If I lived in Texas, Id go again. THEY HAVE HIGHCHAIRS! Horrible experience. Memorial Weekend, we are out of town, I went through the drive-thru and ordered a beef plate. Had to turn all the way around because I tasted the beef, and it had an unbelievable burnt charred taste. They replaced it with chicken. I ate a few pieces of the chicken and had the runs. My sister smelled it, and she was like, Dont eat any more of this it has a funny smell. Im calling corporate. Not only that, the employees are stealing. This is hands down the WORST las palapas ever. The staff is friendly but something is with the communication. The multiple times I ve ordered enchiladas verdes WITHOUT chicken they always give it to me WITH chicken. I dropped in here to get one last civilized meal before leaving town. I was a bit tired and uncoordinated and I managed to turn my table into a swimming pool. I spilled nearly all of my glass of water and sheepishly requested a towel to clean up with. The staff very cheerfully cleaned it up for me and relocated me and treated me as though nothing had happened. I love their authetic flavors, specially the fact that they dont cook everything spicy, something very hard to find in Texas. If you are sensitive to spices, this is the perfect place to go. Your spicy loving friends can enjoy plenty of hot sauces and jalapeños, while we, the flimsy, can also have a good, flavorful, non spicy meal. The restaurant is very tidy and comfortable. So the drive thru cashier today (1/2/23) is deciding to take it upon himself to keep the change. I got my food, gave him cash, and waited for my change. He never open the window. 60 cents isnt a lot however let me decide whether or not I mind you keeping the change. My co-worker and I went here for lunch and had only an hour to eat. The server was only 1 and he was Amazing! He moved quickly and made sure everyone had what they needed from drinks to receipts. Will go here again for lunch it was great!

Hadnt been in a long while,had a good experience for breakfast this morning, I had the barbacoa taco and cup of menudo combo. Perfect portion for a breakfast food was good onion cilantro and Serranos were fresh thank you so much to all the staff that made it happen from the cook all the way to the waitress awesome job thank you

Lunch today was delicious!! Food was hot, plentiful and really delicious. I had a combo plate with cheese enchiladas and 2oz s of beef fajitas, rice and beans; my husband had the flauta plate and he said his was good too. The best food I ve had eating out in a while.

I stopped by with a friend for lunch. I had cheese enchiladas. They were very tasty and filling. The server was friendly and took care of our needs. Las Palapas rarely disappoints. Ill be back.

Had LP cater the food for a family reunion. Excellent food. Fajitas, charro beans, rice, salsa, pico de gallo, queso, chips, and tortillas. Everything was great. Will certainly use them again for future reunions.

This is the first time EVER that I have had to write this sort of review, but like they say: There is a first time for everything and it seems that time is now. It did not however come easily for me as I needed to take a day to think about how I was going to approach this issue. Plus I felt like I was beat by a band of psychotic people so I waited to have the time to think about my words. My decision has been made so here we go I had finished my grocery shopping at the HEB and for quite a few weeks I have been wanting to try Las Palapas so that I could understand why there were so many locations. Well, I had only non-perishable goods in my trunk, so I elected to stop. I found the location to be quite clean upon my entrance and waited for well over a minute to get seated only to be told to seat myself. So, the sign is there why then? The person who came out from the kitchen door did not impress me much on the hospitality scale, so I rate that a zero on the scale of how to acknowledge a customer. I was an inconvenience. Moving along to the dining experience, the table was clean, well-organized, and I was introduced to a nice young lady named Genesis, who was my server. From the start she was professional and I feel someone made a very good hire here and from service to completion of the sale, she was spot on. Even watched her diligently clean tables when no one was looking. Well done, Genesis. This is where the positive part of the review ends. In general, I like to have a good mix in my reviews, but I feel in this case, the burden is too much to bear. I left the restaurant prior to 10 in the morning to give a remotely accurate time frame. I dropped off my groceries from HEB and returned home to unload and walked the dog. After that, I went back out and by the time I was checking out at Walmart my body was starting to flush with heat. I made it back home and by 11:30 A.M. I felt that it was time to lay down and that lasted for less than an hour as I knew something was not right. Long story short the games began and I had constant vomiting for over two hours and it was more than six times. I did not leave my house sick but came home that way and the dog didn t move for over four hours until I made him (he is a Pit Bull so if you know the breed, they are usually wanting to go anywhere you do). I got sick and my dog got sick so yeah I am not quite sure which ingredient was the culprit, but the potatoes were not fully cooked and should have been fork tender even if on the flat top. The eggs were loosely cooked to my request of over medium, but I don t complain about yolk. The refried beans had a great taste, but that does not mean that they were not stored in a hot box properly and dated. The final possibility could be the salsa, as I requested Chips and Salsa at the start of the order. Final Thoughts: I am giving an extra star to this location simply because of my server as this was not her fault, but she is the best part of the whole dining experience. While I love the format of the restaurant, I find myself extremely disappointed as the dog and I got sick. I included some photos and the food tasted great, but no way to detect cross contamination, which I think is the most likely culprit here. It seems to be the most logical explanation if normal kitchen procedures for dating and storage are followed. *The eggs did not come with pepper. I slipped up and added out of habit.

Food & service was average, what you would expect at a sit down casual Mexican restaurant. You have to spell out exactly what you want if you have dietary restrictions. The servers are not very experienced. Loved sitting in a booth by the window. Margaritas are loaded.
