Walked into this location today and as a employee ask me if I needed help I politely asked if they had any eagle rare witch his response was I know we have some buffalo trace products in the back but my manager would have to answer for you so he gets his manager Mark and I ask him before he even answers me he looks me up and down then says NO! Blew my mind away like he profiled me before he even gave me an honest answer I won t be returning to this location.

I love the specs on I 35 north at New Braunfels! So customer oriented and friendly unlike the specs at Creekside and New Braunfels. Went to the Creekside specs today and they did not have what I wanted so I asked the girl at the checkout counter if she could check in the back. Her excuse to not go check was there was only two of us at the register, it was 10 AM and it was me and one other person in the store, and when she finally went back to check for what I needed, she said she was too short to reach it. 35 north behind the Walmart is absolutely amazing and the best customer service ever! Especially Mathew who s been there forever, and I can say there s not a high turnover rate at all which speaks a lot for management I will keep going to behind Walmart on I 35 North Frontage Rd. new Braunfels, thank you Mathew!

This is the best Specs in the area. They always have what Im looking for which after multiple trips to both I avoid the other one in New Braunfels. Just like all the other Specs though the customer service is top notch! Every time Im in one I always have a customer service rep ask me if there is anything I can be helped with. Between their cash/Debit price and the military discount Specs is cheaper or the same then the class six/package store on base.

They were super helpful. Guess I expected more since online reviews were rave. Less variety (of everything) than I expected. Especially for tequila. Almost September and only 1 variety of Fall seasonal beer. Prices would have been great except I chose the convenience of my credit card, and had to pay higher prices for everything. Havent cracked open my tequila purchase yet. And the hubs like the Texas Lone Star beer.

I was in these store to buy some alcohol for my sister birthday so when I got to the cashier I was greeted by Pat and she was very rude first of all she didn t want to sell me my alcohol because my 19 yr old daughter was with me and she said there are signs in the front entrance that states no miners which I didn t see when I came in but I do understand the rules but what got me mad is when I was about to walk out she said I didn t look like I was 40 yrs old anyways which she had no business saying that to me I am 48 yr old women and I can do with out her snarky comments Specs you should really train your employees to be more professional never going to shop here again thanks to Pat.

I used to frequent this Spec s because it is extremely close to my home and being a beer aficionado it made it easy for me to swing by and see what new stock they had. The last 2 times I ve visited I ve seen beer on the shelf past it s best by date, the most recent was today and I found a 6 pack with a best by date of 5/22. As an avid beer drinker that is completely unacceptable, that s means that beer is at least 9-10 months old. If you want fresh non-stale beer look elsewhere.

Great store and customer service. Andrea was the best. Went in for help with an alcohol order for my upcoming wedding and was extremely satisfied with the prices and how easy it was. Worst specs Ive been to. Shelves are devoid of most everything that isnt jack Daniels. If you can find staff to talk to, they seem to hide from customers, they will not offer to help you and just tell you theyre out of everything. I had 5 options of whiskey I was looking for, out of all of them. The food moniker in their name indicates they have cheddar cheese and just about nothing else. I asked for a keg of Miller lite, the staff just said we dont have it and walked away without offering to order, or telling me what they did have. Ive been to this location about ten times as it close to home, but Im done trying to give them business. Unless you want an 18 pack of bud light and a bottle of wild turkey this place probably cant help you
