My Mom, daughter and I ate at this location for the first time. We went not only to eat but to play Bunco. We tried the frito pie, which has a twist. They serve it with Fritos, pinto beans, chopped beef and top it with cheese. I really enjoyed it and would recommend it, however my mom didn t appreciate the twist, she really missed the chili and said she would not get it again. There you have it, we all like different things and that is why they offer such a variety of BBQ items. My daughter wasn t very hungry so she ate a grilled cheese sandwich, really for kids because it was just a simple sandwich. We have eaten at other locations and really like the turkey, chicken and beef options. Next, they stayed to play Bunko which was offered on Wednesday night. They said they had a lot of fun but it is only there every once in a while. Try the great BBQ! Parking: Strip center parking lot, therefore plenty of parking.

There is no way this surpasses 3 stars in the rest of the country but it gets 4 to 5 in New Braunfels Texas ... The nerve to sell bag of Doritos chips as part of your menu along with Wonder Bread.... No pulled Pork? ...you should not even show up to work with this kind of effort. The Sausage taste just like the ones you would buy at Walmart... The Brisket and BBQ sauce were Mid at best... The best thing was the Pork Belly but the taste got redundant after the fourth piece. If you enjoy Taco Bell you might enjoy this kind of place.

Place was clean. Condiment bar was clean. Average BBQ. Meat was a little on the dry side. Choice of sauces were excellent and condiments fresh. All in all food was good but on the pricey side especially for the Key Lime Pie, which was frozen. Was not a busy time and wait staff acted like we were putting them out to take our order. Two wait staff appeared to be taking extended breaks behind the front counter drinking beverages while one young lady was cleaning and restocking. At the end of our meal we asked for to go boxes. Instead of handing them to us we were directed to get them ourselves from an area clearly for wait staff. Observed kitchen prep or cook not wearing a hair net. We haven t been back and unlikely we will. 2 for poor customer service.

The atmosphere and service were fine. I stopped by for brisket and some breakfast tacos. The brisket was okay/good.and the breakfast tacos were good. Overall they used more salt than flavor. My favorite thing to get is the chopped BBQ baked potato. The potatoes are very large and full of BBQ plus butter, sour cream and chives. I also like the bananna pudding for dessert. The employees are very nice and helpful. I dine in on weekends but go through the drive thru durring the week on my way home from work. I highly recommend eating here.

Ive heard great things about this place, so I finally decided to give it a try. Pros: Staff is super friendly. The meat is great. I tried the chicken, turkey, sausage, brisket, and pork ribs. All of them were delicious. The bbq sauce was really good, too. Cons: The sides need serious work. The potatoes and cream corn were very bland. The mac and cheese was really bad. My 7 year old who loves mac and cheese wouldnt eat it. The potato salad wasnt horrible, but it tasted store bought. Overall, I would return but only to purchase the meats.

Ordered a pound of brisket and 1/2 pound of turkey, the turkey was OK, but next time I ll pay for quality rather than convenience. My sister and BIL live in New Braunfels and this Smokey Moe s has been our go to for good eats. Always friendly staff and nice casual atmosphere, clean and great food at reasonable prices. Today they added burnt pork belly ends to the menu and the gal at the counter told us about them. So I added it to a plate and it was ridiculously good! Even tho I really like their barbecue sauce, I didn t use any on the pork belly. Awesome texture, and flavor like wow. I forgot to take a pic cause I was too busy gettin it in my belly. Highly recommended. We will def be back on my next visit to TX.

Ok, as I get older, it s harder for me to eat BBQ because of heartburn! Yes, I said it! I tried the small family meal with ribs, sausage, potato salad, and creamed corn. Smoky Moe s is dang good BBQ yall! We usually swing by for breakfast. Because their breakfast menu selection is great. You can even order up a keto/carnivore type bowl w/eggs n brisket that will knock your socks off! I truly can t remember a BBQ restaurant that has that many breakfast options to choose from! The brisket is tender and smoked perfectly. Their jalapeño sausage is delicious, with its own unique flavor that tastes better (and no greasy, grainy texture here!) than the other high priced BBQ restaurants around. Manager Paul even let us taste test the delicious pork loin to order on our next visit! Keep up the delicious work y all. Everything about Smokey MO s BBQ was delicious. The restaurant was quiet for a Sunday night, and we ordered and had our food in less than 5 minutes. We had the ribs, sloppy mo sandwich, creamed corn, mac and cheese, green beans, and the coleslaw. I m not usually a huge coleslaw person, but I was feeling like eating it this time and I m SO GLAD I did. It was some of THE BEST coleslaw I have had in a very long time. We ended our visit with banana pudding that tasted just like my grandmother s recipe, it didn t have the artificial banana flavoring, but more of a vanilla flavor with real bananas in the bottom and vanilla wafers . DELICIOUS! My family and I are kind of picky about our BBQ, but we absolutely HIGHLY recommend eating here the next time you re in the area!

One of the best places for some brisket sandwiches, green beans, sausage, and buttered potatoes for a very good price. The servings are small (so you dont fall over on the way out), and leave room for your dessert! I heard wonderful things about their banana pudding and pecan pie, but I have not tried them out yet. I will review those at a later date. With the unexpected notice of the remodel of my usual place, I needed somewhere close by, inexpensive, and efficient before heading to work. I did not expect the friendly service of the workers and the wonderful atmosphere that has left me walking out with a smile on my face TWICE. Not just the first time, EVERY TIME. I would give this place 10 stars if I could for their wonderful attitude and food quantity. Parking: The Oak Run parking lot is spacious and not hard to find a close spot. Kid-friendliness: The music is kid friendly rock and country and the food is good portions for a kid.

I haven t been to a Texas BBQ since 1978 and this place is worth the wait. Great staff, tasty food and a busy room. I had the chopped plate. The meat was stellar and the cream corn was sublime. Recommended dishes

Quick stop on a road trip with the family. We got BBQ and half a chicken with Mac and Cheese and green beans as sides and split it. Food was good, service was friendly, place was clean. No issues, solid meal.

5 all around. First time we went in the owner or manager was very friendly but the female cashier they had was a bit rude I didnt let that affect my decision though the food was so good it didnt matter. Everytime I have been back in the guy who works there owns or manages it he apologized with a coupon and apologized to me personally. He is very friendly to my kids as well. I really dont have any complaints after the one time and I have not seen her in There again. I like this place a lot think its best bbq in new braunfels. Definitely will continue to keep going in. Kid-friendliness: They are great with kids very nice to them.

Olivia, is so friendly, kind, and sweet. can always put a smile on your face. i always love going to smokey mo s because the whole staff is friendly, but tonight my experience was amazing. when i went to order the cashier Olivia actually greeted me by my name. it s nice to be remembered, and definitely makes me want to come back!!

I wish I could give 10 stars for the service I received. The store owner Nathan is a rare gem. Our family ordered for delivery and the driver forget part of our order at the store. The owner asked our location and came out of his own way to hand deliver the rest of our order. I have never received exceptional customer such as this. Dear sir, I pray and wish you more growth in your business and many thank yous.

Kid-friendliness: They offer options kids live and many great adult food options also! The delivery was made on time and still warm! So, even though I couldn t be there & I ordered it online from a location 6 hours away, they provided me a way to purchase a great, delicious birthday dinner surprise for my brother and his family!!

So, I awkwardly walked in waving to pick up my order while it was calm and was greeted and picked up my food. Which hit the jackpot in my tum tum; the most magical part?? The burnt edges of the brisket-which honestly is what I was craving. No, I m not pregnant just looking for some decent brisket that I didn t have to cook at home. I consumed it with great vigor.

We are new to area and we had one opportunity to get some bbq and we chose Smokey MO s and thank goodness we did. The Brisket and Sausage sandwich was really good. The sausage had just the right amount of spice, the brisket was juicy, tender and had a great flavor. The bbq sauce had a good kick to it and the potato salad had a more eggy taste to it but was really good. We will definitely be making Mo s part of our ongoing dining experience, great job!!!

This place is an embarrassment to Texas BBQ. We were here. from AZ, with other family from OH, and they chose this disaster. Smokey, had nothing to do with the ribs, brisket, sausage or chicken. Not even a hint of smoked flavor, as bland as BBQ I have ever tasted. The ribs were obviously old, as opposed to having a meaty texture, they were more of a mush consistency. I should have been more insistent on Rudys!

All of the staff are super nice and welcoming. The food is amazing especially the jalapeño sausage. The brisket could use a little more smoked house flavor but it is still good. The cookies are also good, I would recommend getting some.

My wife and I were on vacation, from Fort Collins, CO, visiting my daughter and grandkids in New Braunfels. My daughter recommended this place and IT WAS PERFECT!! The brisket, the pork ribs, and turkey were just amazing! And the creamed corn is to die for!! The whole meal was perfect. The staff was attentive and kind. I highly recommend this place.
