July 17, 2024 BEWARE My mothers credit card AND checking account were robbed. AND ... There are two people who charged my mother thousands for foot massages and care. THEY ARE ANA G. AND DAVID G. I filed a police report. UPDATE July 18, 2024 I spoke with the business manager at Rio Terra and she said corporate lawyers were now involved. I was relieved to hear that. The parties in question are no longer allowed on the premises.

I checked your website for pricing on independent living. How do you expect anyone at retirement age to be able to afford these prices. It is absolutely shameful, you are not the only ones of course but it is shameful that you charge over $3000 a month for anyone 55 and over. No wonder so many of our retired Americans are homeless..

We looked at many places before choosing Rio Terra for my parents. No place compared to the full complement of services available and the Staff in each area of our need. We needed independent living and memory care. Our family is completely satisfied with the environment and care our family member gets in independent living. And as the saying goes...If momma is happy, everybody is happy.

The facilities are disgusting and the way they treat elderly people is sickening. Gina the director pretends to care for friends and family but only cares for the money they have. I will not be bringing my grandpa back here again.

Rio Terra and the wonderful staff are a blessing to those associated with the organization. Residents enjoy a stress free lifestyle as do their families. The facilities are beautiful. There is something going on every day that is fun and engaging. Best of all, the people make Rio what it is: a 24/7, 365 day resort with delightful employees that genuinely care about others.

I ultimately had to surrender to the idea that I could not longer take care of my husband at home (as I had always thought that I would). I had heard countless horror stories of Assisted Living and Memory Care facilities. After a year at Rio Terra I can say that I have not experienced any of those issues. Once you get past the impeccable and beautiful facilities there is the management and staff. They are always attentive and caring. I am not sure what kind of training or employment criteria can teach this but all the staff are ...well...just plain and simple.....compassionate and caring. Management is always available and supportive. When my husband ultimately needed Memory Care, the management even helped me to understand the disease and how to deal with it. I am now able to just go and be a loving wife and support my husband during this phase of life. Thank you is not enough for the peace of mind I have at Rio Terra!

I came to put an application back in 2017 and I really got to know the residents. I started as an RA and has since moved up the ladder. I love what I do and I would not have it any other way. I really enjoy the fact that Rio Terras staff works as a team to get things done. It is a fun and exciting place to work and everyone makes you feel like you are a part of their family. I always say there is always room for family.

My mother lived in Rio Terras memory care for over a year, and it was the greatest caregiving experience we had for her. The caregivers were kind and efficient, and the management encouraged me to partner in planning for her care. Beautiful setting, great people, good food, great care.

What a pleasure to work in such a peaceful environment! It does take a lot of work to keep our community running at top marks, but I am lucky enough to have a strong team to share the load. And our residents make everything worth it! With such amazing lives and legacies that we have to honor of engaging with, I am always excited to see what will come next!

Having a loved one in assisted living and ultimately in memory care is never easy. However, Rio Terra does an exceptional job helping families like ours deal with these trying situations. From Kelly at the front desk to Ilysa, Dan and all their staff, they provide the very finest care we could hope for. Our family thanks them from the bottom of our hearts during this trying time. We don t feel like we are the exception, we hear it all the time from other families here as well. We also would like to mention all the independent living staff for their wonderful work. From beginning to end, we have been so pleased. Great job!

My dad lived in the the independent living section for about six years and loved it. Due to health issues, he relocated to San Antonio briefly but is doing better and is eager to return to Rio Terra in Assisted living. The people who work at Rio Terra are absolutely fantastic and I highly recommend this facility!

Three living style options are available at Rio Terra: independent living, assisted living, and memory care. In August 2015 I moved into a 2 bedroom/2 bath independent living apartment. I couldnt be more pleased. The facility is beautifully maintained, staff enjoy working with our generation, and a varied program of daily activities is offered for our enjoyment (if we decide to participate). I investigated six different senior facilities in the area near my house in Wimberley. Rio Terra met my expectations.
