I ordered fisher tacos and brisket tacos and crispy Texan by phone to take home. None of the food was good at all. And the plate was way too small , only two tacos and teaspoon rice and a little bit vegetable inside. I totally paid $62 . Not worth it at all. I am not recommending this restaurant.

Walked in with pretty high standards because we love Mexican food. But OMG did they surpass our expectations. Angel our server was AMAZING. So sweet. Made sure we had everything we needed. None of the food was good at all. Chicken enchilada with 0 flavor. Queso was just melted Velveeta that s it. We sent it back. Beans and rice had an odd flavor I couldn t pin point but it wasn t good my friends quesadillas looked dry and she said they were alright. No music playing in there and no other guests even at lunch time so it was oddly quiet.

First of all Im only giving the service four stars because the language barrier was a little difficult but the server was very sweet attentive and professional but I almost feel guilty because she was so extremely kind. But it was Taco Tuesday and I had the chicken fajita tacos and we also had the queso. They were excellent along with the chips and salsa also. I mean a Mexican restaurant has to come on with the chips and salsa right? The chips were light and crispy and served in a neat stainless steel cylinder. But the other thing is this is the first time in going to any restaurant ever the my sweet tea came with a lime instead of a lemon. Really surprised me but again it was a pleasant surprise and it was a delicious twist for my sweet tea so I was not disappointed there. On top of all that Mexican food being my favorite it was the first time ever that 80s music which is my genre because Im 53 was playing in the background. I mean honestly to me thats marketing genius. At least for the Gen X crowd. Journey Bryan Adams guns n roses and whitesnake! My girlfriend kept telling me to quiet down because I kept catching myself singing all the songs. And when is this love by whitesnake came on which is mine and my girlfriends song it sealed the deal for me. I just thought to myself man there was too many right things going on here for us not to make this our new spot. So dont be afraid to try this place for some good Mexican grub because I dont think youll be disappointed. I know me and my girlfriend werent. Happy dining everyone! Would have sat outside on the patio tables with the umbrellas but I couldnt talk my girlfriend into it because it was sprinkling. Maybe next time! And you can hear the music outside too so no worries!

Loved this restaurant. The salsa and chips were delicious, and the food was just incredible. Loved it. The second time we visited we ordered the queso and that also was delicious. The atmosphere is laid back with excellent bar service. Tables are open and room to navigate. Will definitely revisit again and again.

I tried this place after a craving for enchiladas and decided to do take-out. It receives a solid 3-stars from me. I REALLY like the flavor of the salsa, like other reviews. Chicken enchilada was good. I got the tomatillo sauce on top. Cheese enchilada needs a little work (onion? White melty cheese?). Ill definitely go back and try other things. I could easily see dining here with friends.

Not traditional Mexican food. We ordered Enchiladas and got 2 little rolled up Enchiladas with thick layer of sour cream and two Olives as decoration. A tiny side cup of rice and very little chicken in the Enchiladas. It took over an hour for our party of 10 to get served. However their drinks were awesome and patron shots were a generous pour.

The only reason I m not giving the food five stars is due to the menu being a little smaller than I remember, other than that everything is tasty, but what stood out to us the most was the ambiance, this place is amazing at setting an inviting atmosphere there isn t much pressure or super loud music, the restaurant is quite beautiful, we had an amazing service and we will be coming back. Thought they may be closed on a Saturday night when we arrived, then we heard the music. We were the only two diners and it it felt like a high end private dinner. Everything was excellent from the chips (warmed) and salsa, sangria to the Americano plate and steak quesadillas. It s a CRIME that this establishment isn t flush with business! Not too authentic. Would not recommend their chicken fajitas , it was just a normal plate with chicken breast and some sides. Was not sizzling. Pechuga de Pollo - was very average. Not too different from fajitas , yet few dollars expensive. Maybe for the cabbage slaw ? Lol. The food was not stale and tasted fine. So you really can t waste it. They can improve their presentation for their price points. You are better off at Chuy s or Salsa Tex Mex. Will I be back ? Not really for a while. Their tortilla chips were good

Went up to Frisco for an appointment and then looked for a Mexican food place for lunch. Picked Lalo s out per chance and it did not disappoint! My wife and daughters loved the salsa and their food. Short Weekend trip to Dallas/Plano left us a little hungry after exploring and shopping! Stumbled on this place and legit only went off Google and Yelp reviews because Im a stickler for vibes and pictures! The photos make it look very lively and fun so imagine our surprise at happy hour on a Friday walking into an entirely empty restaurant! Two couples inside and a couple guys drinking on the patio. We still decided to stay because we were hungry and the place itself is super duper nice and cute! We opted to sit at the bar where we were kindly greeted and two TVs playing football with no volume (which I love)! The barstools were very comfortable as well. Ordered two of the BEST margaritas Ive ever had with the gran marnier! I now want all my margs made this way. No need for a second! For food, the enchilada verde and the taco lunch plates were pretty dang good. No complaints there and the servings were reasonable and not too much from the lunch menu. No leftovers. Really enjoyed the verde. Chips and salsa were something to write home about! Amazingly toasted and crunchy, I should have asked for a bag to go with just those chips! Very good! All in all, the staff was too kind and it happened to be my friends birthday so I snuck away to the restroom and told our waiter and he surprised us with a perfect tres leches slice that was absolutely delicious! For lunch and margs I spent $65 and he treated us with that dessert and I felt like that was so sweet! Thank you team at Lalo! You guys were great and I now actually like that the restaurant was slower at the time but I do hope they pick up because it was a great place for us! Enjoyed very much and if we are ever back in the area we will stop through.

The salsa was the bomb. It had a good amount of heat and was fresh. I had the Americano dinner. The chicken enchilada had a great flavor and was by far the favorite on the plate followed by the brisket taco. The brisket meat had good texture and meat flavor. The sope oaxaca was my least favorite, I have had greats sopes in the past but there was no flavor in this one. The staff here was great you will be taken care of when you are here.

Great food and service. Owner Lalo waited on us and you could tell he runs a top notch operation. The combo fajitas for two were juicy and delicious and the portion was huge. Grilled onions and fajita sides were spot on. Guacamole made fresh for every table. Delicious margarita and didnt skimp on the alcohol. Solid Mexican place. I got the Americano Dinner so that I could try a few different things on the menu. Brisket taco: excellent. So juicy and flavorful! Chicken enchilada: very good. I went light on the sour cream sauce and had them add green tomatillo sauce. Yummy. Sope Oaxaca: lots of fun things going on with this little guy, but lacking in flavor. The actual sope it itself had a great texture, though soft in the middle and crispy on the outside. Rice and beans: who rates the rice and beans? Well, I am from Phoenix, where everyone thinks they re half Mexican, so I m a little bit of a snob about this, but both were excellent. For some reason I have a hard time finding good refried beans in Texas oftentimes. Service was amazing, and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Price was average for what you get.

I arrived first (before my friend) and was able to choose a seat. It was close to 6:00 pm and I quickly ordered a Margarita on happy hour pricing. Eduardo, the bartender brought me my drink (along with one menu and one set of cutlery wrapped in a cloth napkin), and was like a high-pressure car salesman trying to get me to order appetizers. He then switched to pitching the cheese enchilada dinner special. I advised I was waiting my my friend to arrive before I would order. One of the waiters brought chips and salsa to the table. My friend arrived around 6:05 pm. I could not get Eduardo s attention. He and another server started moving tables for a large group. Still could not get his attention. Finally around 6:25 pm, Eduardo was taking the food order for the table of three women who were already seated and enjoying cocktails when I arrived. I was waving at him, so he finally came to our table and took my friend s drink order. Fast forward another 30 minutes and I grabbed the attention of a female server and asked if we could order. She obliged. The food was good, and our female server was attentive. Fast forward to getting the check. I saw Eduardo s name on the checks and asked our server to change the order to her. I advised Eduardo would not get a tip, but she would. When my friend put her credit card down for her check, Eduardo was the most attentive he had been all night. He grabbed the tray and headed to the POS. Our female server took over for him. As I was leaving, one family of four from the big group was also leaving. The dad ad said he left more tip for the singer that was performing than for the waiter. Hopefully this will be a learning lesson for Eduardo. I will go back for the food, but will choose my server upon arrival.

We came in after shopping at IKEA and this place has fresh everything. Ordered the fajita for 2 and upgraded to Ribeye for 6.00 more in which it came on a bed of queso and fried onions. It s not on the menu but was mentioned by our waiter and glad we went with his recommendation. The beans were definitely fresh, the guac was on point, the Spanish rice was superb, and don t let me start with the chips and FRESH salsa. The manager/ owner was graciously enough to ask us how our food was an observing even the outside surroundings. Very good place.

We love this new find for Frisco. This is their second location and we are happy we found it. The margarita flights are awesome. Chips and salsa just the right heat. Tacos, enchiladas, the salsa - even the salad was incredible! You are crazy if you live in FRISCO area and don t come here - don t sleep on this place. Super nice people, the decor is upscale, service is great, chefs kiss to the whole experience! See you there!

We tried this new Frisco spot on a Tuesday night. We ll definitely come back to try more on this menu. We experienced attentive service, and a fast kitchen. I had the Cancun salad with steak for a delightful and low-carb meal. Ambiance is very nice. Fully stocked bar makes this a great date spot.

Lalos Cocina Mexicans restaurant serves outstanding Mexican cuisine. The vibrant atmosphere, friendly staff, and bright decor create an inviting and enjoyable dining experience. The menu offers a diverse selection of Mexican classics and traditional dishes with a modern twist. The chips and salsa are a great start to any meal, and the guacamole is some of the best around. The Entrees are beautifully presented and delicious, with generous portions. The carne asada is cooked to perfection, and the enchiladas suizas are nothing less than heavenly. The dessert options are also perfect, and I highly recommend the Tres Leches cake or Churros. Lalos Cocina Mexicans restaurant is undoubtedly one of the best Mexican restaurants in town, and its great for family gatherings, casual dining, or date night. I will definitely come back for more delicious food and fun ambiance.

Never got to eat. High price doesn t match service. We sit down and order our drinks and the server immediately ask us what we want to eat. We haven t even looked at the menu yet and feel like we are just being rushed. We order our drinks and also for chips and salsa. Drinks come chips while chips and salsa never do. I attempted to flag down the waiter to ask what all comes with the taco meal, seeing that is like $23 for tacos, which seems insane for a restaurant environment such as this one . We continued to wait and still get no chips and salsa and just decide to leave. I m not going to give a bad star review just for pricing and because it s a new place but if you re going to charge $23 for some taco s I d suggest providing $23 taco service alongside with it or you won t last very long. Can t provide a review on the food since we never got to eat.

I don t even know how to begin, so extremely impressed and excited about this place!! tonight was our first time, it was such a great experience, food was fantastic first of all, service was out of this world, all I can say is restaurant and business in Frisco need to follow Lalo s Cocina ways! So personable, so friendly everyone was helping everyone. So many employees, management came to the table introduced themselves, shook our hands. I am so impressed defiantly will make this one of our routine staples for great Mexican food.

1st time here. It was lunch. I had their chicken enchiladas. They. Are. Amazing. Very delicious. Chicken was tender. Rice was also very very good. I ll have to try a couple more plates next time before giving a 5 star rating.

We were glad to see that a Lalo s opened up in Frisco. We used to frequent the one in far north Dallas and have gotten take out from the one in Plano. We have always loved Lalo s and had a great meal, but we were a little disappointed in a couple of our tried and true favorites. First, they ve got great black bean dip which used to be free. Now they charge $5.95 for a cup. We opted for the queso which was a little gritty and floury (if that s a word). Second, my wife always gets the Americano Dinner and one of the items on that is a sope. Now, even though the menu s still says it comes with a sope, the waitress told us it comes with a tamale instead. Luckily they were able to get us the sope instead, so we re glad for that. All in all it was still a great meal, but wish they d go back to their old ways.

Great place for a family dinner. I had the Rib eye, and it was excellent. Jucy and full of flavor. Cooked to perfection. Margaritas were amazing the perfect balance of sweet and sour. Staff was friendly and attentive. Will come back again!!!

Ill start with the pros: attentive service, drinks were strong and spot on... Cons: the THINNESST (is that a word) carne asada ever! Paper thin..see pic., EVERY maragarita should have a lime slice- we had 3 and ZERO w lime slice...queso no flavor and watered-down....oh and $1.75 for aide of jalapeños... huh ?...and .75 for flour tortillas w carne asada (2nd most expensive thing on menu)....LIMITED menu...sadly, we will not be back ...oh and PALLLEASE, do not serve a shot of patron in a regular glass....no

Great new place in Frisco texas! Came in with the family and everything tasted delicious, from the margaritas to the steak I had. Chips and salsa were on the spot, staff very attentive and friendly. You have check this place out you will definitely love it.
