We catered from Mehfil for one of our pre-wedding events and the food was AMAZING! It was a pleasure working with Kamal who worked with us to create the perfect menu for our event. He was very kind, patient, and accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious and authentic. Our guests couldnt stop raving about the variety and flavors. We ordered papri chaat, mixed vegetable pakoras, samosas, and mango lassi - all which were a hit! Plus, they make their samosas fresh daily! My wife and I have visited Mehfil. Prior to visiting we had always seen the restaurant in the area. We just never found the time to stop, as it is 30-45 minutes from our house depending on traffic. But one night my wife and I had a night out on our own. We decided to go to Mehfil after looking at the menu online. Everything sounded so good. After that first initial visit, we have been back about four times. We are not really drinkers, but decided to try a beer that they have there from India called Taj Mahal. Taj Mahal beer is a pretty popular beer and I can see why. Time for our starter. Of course we try one of our favorites, the Samosa Chaat. We ve had samosa chaat at other restaurants, but this is our favorite. As soon as you get that first bite and the chole is warm and it mixes with the dahi and the chutney and it s just delicious. We have to force ourselves to stop eating it. Otherwise we won t be hungry for the main course. When it comes to the main course, I usually like to try different things. My wife really likes the Chicken Tikka Masala and the butter chicken. I ve tried the Kadai with lamb, lamb vindaloo, and lamb korma. I also like goat korma, but they don t have it on the menu here. But the chef took the goat that would normally go into the goat curry and put in the korma sauce for me. And it was wonderful. And don t get me started on the garlic naan and papadum. OMG. Let s not forget about the staff. Just so nice and accommodating. Can t wait for the next visit.

We recently moved to the area from the west side of Plano. As we had a door dash coupon and credit, we ended up opting for this place. The whole family enjoyed it! And nothing was forgotten in the delivery. I know, doesnt sound important but its amazing how often that happens. No small portions either. Highlights were Lamb Korma, Veg Pakora, Samosa, Chicken Tikka Masala and Bullet Naan. Well definitely be back. Keep up the great quality.

First time trying this restaurant. The Gobi Manchurian tasted burnt and had hard sticky inedible pieces. The Tikka Masala s sauce was broken and had more of a tomato flavor. The samosas were very large but dry on the inside. The sauce that came with the samosas was extremely tart.

Well, it was my first time trying food at this place, and last. I have a big family, and I buy food every weekend. I try different places, and i know what the medium size of chicken biyrani is and how many ppl can be served in that quantity. Quality of food was good and salad serving was very good but biyrani serving is very poor. It seems like there is no management at this place as the chef is the one who dictates everything. Well, it makes no difference to me how they run their business as Im not looking for free food. A lady i spoke with over the phone did offer me two orders of biyrani. The whole point is that they should acknowledge what the customer is saying instead of denying them.

Third time the charm I don t think so! The food is great but the female waitress is not. The first time I went was with my aunt and uncle the female waitress told them not to the a tip on the card but in cash which is crazy to be told how to tip. Second time was decent she was still very cold and unpleasant but it was alittle better because the owner was there. Third time I go in there on my lunch break food was great but here comes the waitress again! I gave her my card to pay and she comes back and says as loud as she can that it s declined which is absurd because I check my accounts before I went in then I show her and she said she inserted the card mind you my card doesn t have a chip you have to manually slide it then when I show her my account balance she say oh it declined because I didn t slide it i inserted it and gives me a half unpleasant sorry then walks away! I love the food but after that I don t want to go back how embarrassing!

Pretty expensive. Went for dine in lunch. Quantities are pretty small, but prices are expensive. Service is good and the server is very detail and efficient. Only appetizers tasted good. Both veg and chicken biriyanis, chicken Tikka masala curry is not at all tasty. Finally, paid more than 100$ with low level satisfaction.

I took my family there for dinner last night (6/7). We ordered butter chicken, beef curry, chicken tandoori, gobi manchurian, a side of bhatura, and mango lassi. All the food was delicious. We also really liked the new table arrangement they have, very comfortable. Something that I would really like to highlight is the service. Mi kids were having a bad day and made a total mess (so sorry!). The waitress was very nice, polite, understanding, and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place and definitely will go back.

I don t know why we haven t seen this restaurant until now. It was wonderful. I came in to have dinner eating in. I was the only customer today before 7pm. I ordered spicy fish, which was really good. However, the service was cold and impersonal. Additionally, nobody told me I have to order rice separately for extra cost. Service was not fast either. This restaurant gets three stars from me only because of the food, the rest was seriously lacking. I probably wont go again unless customer service improves.

Excellent and authentic Punjabi restaurant in the town. I was very glad to have the food without onion and garlic as requested. The owner was able to provide some other options for the large menu without onions and garlic even there were so busy. Definitely will come again and again. Paneer biryani was too good which was also the star dish for us from the menu which we tried. One personal recommendation would be if they have some more kids options.

(Note - Ive amended my original review below) ---- Original ------ We will be going back. The food is excellent on par with the food weve had in Englands best restaurants and among the best Indian Food weve found in the Dallas Metroplex. I had the Tikka Marsala and my wife had the Korma and they both were excellent. Service leaves a bit to be desired and the atmosphere is not the best, but it worked well enough for us. It will be hard to resist such great food just a few blocks away from home (and they do take out too). ----- Amendment ---- While I still like this place, the food is getting iffy. Seems that the recipes have been changing, or the cooks on duty are not following the recipes. Im withdrawing my Everything is great and revising it, it is not always as good as it was. In fact our last dine in experience was exceptionally below expectations on both of the dishes mentioned above. On a positive note: We have discovered a new favorite dish, the Papri Chat appetizer. We order this a lot, with plain nan and make a meal out of it. We will keep trying, but as of now, its getting disappointing. I sure hope things can go back to the way they were 3 years ago. Please.... We loved it back then. Parking: This is a normal strip mall - plenty of parking is available and usually up next to the building. Food was delicious as always. However, I was appalled to see that the salad and 8 oz. Raita, that normally comes with the biryani, now comes in tiny condiment cups. So the salad is now some diced onions and tomatoes that fit in the palm of your hand and the raita is not enough for 1/4 of the meal. Stop being so cheap Mehfil! We has a party of 5 today. We ordered 2 appetizers, each our own entrees, and 1 of each dessert!! Everything was AMAZING!! Our favorites from each category: Appetizer sampler tray. It had a huge samosa, a huge potato dumpling and fried broccoli! Everything in this was bomb. We all tried a little of each entree! We have been customers for years. This is the best Indian restaurant in the area in my opinion. The proteins are all good quality vs. grizzly pieces we would encounter at some other restaurants. My son even brought his Indian friends to this restaurant and they gave nod of approval for all food ordered. One of the best Indian places I have ever been to! And I love Indian food. Did not expect to find this place in Murphy Service is great, lots of seating, and clean. The spice level is real and you can make it mild or level 5 or Indian hot as the waiter said! The naan is fresh. The chicken tikka masala is so solid The desserts are all excellent as well. Better quality than any Indian buffet! Gulab jamun came out hot and fresh. The kheer was full of cardamom flavor. The real star is that they can customize their dishes to make them nut free and a lot of places don t do this. My husband loves chicken tikka masala but is allergic to cashews! Thankful this place lets you order without nuts. Huge perk in our opinion! Also they re making it all fresh that means! I am always looking for a clean friendly place in various locations to take clients for a lunch or snack break, to regroup in between house showings and share local amenities around their future home! This may be the place! I had the pleasure of tasting their catering menu at a recent family event, and it was enjoyed by all. Tikki appetizers with following entrees, Butter chicken, Saag Paneer (spinach), vegetable entre (eggplant and potatoes), with naan and pilau rice, and pickle condiments, were all delicious and spice level was just right for a diverse group palette. You can ramp up the spice to suit. I will certainly pop in for a sit down soon, as I hear the management is focused on customer service and cleanliness. Yaay!

Was looking for a good Indian restaurant in the area and my friend suggested this place! The service was great and everyone was so friendly here. I got the chicken tikka masala, and it was so good. The garlic naan is solid, and the three desserts we got (in the pictures) were amazing. Had to get another one to go to share with my husband at home. I m so excited there s such good Indian food so close to home. I will definitely be back very soon! Highly recommend.

We searched for Indian food and chose this place based on the reviews. We re drove over 25 min to get here and will be coming back. There were 5 people at our table and everyone ordered something different. In the end, I d rank the lamb curry THE BEST! The chicken tikka masala was ranked second best. Everything else was very good but I can t recall the names. The owner was incredibly kind and made sure we experienced flavors we hadn t had before. Great food, great experience and worth the drive. Oh and lots of vegetarian options!

The portion size is sufficient (enough for a leftover) and great for students who want to save money but also get quality Indian food. I usually get the paneer makhni, malai kofta, and chicken tikka masala with garlic naan. The gulab jamun and rasmalai are my favorite desserts from there. I can assure you this is the best restaurant transformation I have ever witnessed! I receive welcoming vibes whenever I go there. If I ever win the lottery, I won t tell anyone - but there will be signs. I will most likely stop cooking and come to Mehfil at least 3 times a week. A great atmosphere and the nicest people are only topped by amazing food. I have enjoyed every visit so far and every time I had enough leftovers to enjoy another lunch the next day. Not only my wife and I are happy with our food, our teenagers love that they can choose the level of spice for theirs so they can enjoy it too.

This is some of the best Indian Ive had in a long time. I went with a group from work and the service was prompt and the food was amazing.
