It s a really great park for the entire family. Great for dogs and great for lots of outside activity. The walking trails are very nice and the playground is wonderful. I really love coming here with my family. Playground: It s really great and it shaded Toilets: Kept up pretty well for a park. Dog-friendliness: Great for walking and letting dogs run free Picnic area: Has lots of options.

ETA: there is actually a button you can press to turn the water on. Picture of button attached. I love this park, the splash pad is perfect for the summer and I like that the playground is covered. For those going for the first time - the splash pad runs on a timer, so once it turns off it usually turns back on after 10 minutes. However - the bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. There was no toilet paper at all in the womens restrooms, and no light either.

Spacious park.. has a splash pad, and a relatively small playground, and outdoor open theatre for plays. everything looks pretty new and functions properly. Facility looks well maintained. First time visiting but will be back. Parking is a small walk from the actual park, like 50 feet. Handicap accessible. Shaded seating for picnics. Restroom is conveniently next to playground

Its better to come very early or later in the evening as parking spots fill up quickly! Awesome place to bring kids to the park, go for a walk, play in the fields, go fishing, to do celebrations or play at the splash pad!!! There once was concession stand but its no longer functioning the bathrooms are accessible but it would be better if they had a diaper changing station in both women and men restrooms. (My only reason for not being 5 stars)

Love this place. Always clean and our kids love the splash pad. Less stagnant water and well recycled. Playground is small but good enough. Huge Green space and PSA is unique. Great for kids and families for an evening stroll

First time weve visited this par and my girls were so excited, with all the sprinkles and the small water park, as well the play ground right next to it. Playground: It was clean and well take care of Toilets: They where clean and well keep, the only thing they need to add is a trash can. Picnic area: It was small but in my opinion big enough to get some carne asada!! And have a wonderful day with family and friends

The grown ups arent really friendly, but we are for the kids so, I guess. I did encounter this man tell this teenage girl that only kids can play on them. She is a kid, so that was very disheartening. Overall the area was clean and nice and I could watch all three of my children at the same time, rather on the playground or at the splash pad. Playground: The playground is covered, which allows for the equipment to be cool. Toilets: The city of Murphy came while we were here and cleaned the restrooms. I dont know if they are on a schedule but it was clean. Picnic area: There is a shaded picnic area and extra tables by the playground area. A potential place to have a birthday party or bring your kids for some hours and have room to sit.

Murphy Park had a surprising amount of shade - the playground adjacent to the splash pad area was covered by an awning, and the picnic table pavilion was also covered. The splash pad itself was a refreshing design - right in the middle of the two covered areas, making it easy to get out the sun when needed. The water also did not exclusively come from the ground - it also came from long poles that went high into the sky. This splash park would be suitable for the differently abled in terms of access to pavilions and ability to enjoy the water at different heights. I did not check out the bathrooms, but they looked well maintained from the exterior.
