I dont like making reviews, but man, this place all the hype for nothing. It was my husband and daughter, and me got the breakfast buffet. Payed $64, and they never came back to my table to see how we were doing. For the hour and 30 minutes, I was there, and never did they once change the buffet. Worst experience ever.

23$ for one buffet per person? 58$ for two people to eat...I dont think so. Buffet food was good, not great, our server was great, prices are unacceptable. I grew up with Taco Ole, but Im not sure what happened. Perhaps their specials are the way to go. We will probably not be stopping by again solely due to prices. There are plenty of other places that have much more reasonably-priced buffets. Save your money.

I drive 20 miles for their buffet. This was literally the worst Mexican food I have ever had. The food on the buffet was dried out, the cheese enchiladas seemed to be made out of fake processed cheese, the enchilada sauce add no flavor, the video was the only thing that was ok, but not great. The chicken was over cooked and dried out, the ribs were also over cooked and dried out. The food was really bad! On a good not the wait staff was pleasant, kind, attentive and always came to the table with a smile.

Came back to eat brought my mother from this last time it adds up the total was for 3 people 2 buffets and one regular platter With 2 drinks and 1 reg water total was $78.00 it is preposterous but thats what it is. Come and think of it it is very pricey because some food you can get at a cafeteria all u can eat and you wont spend that much so yeah I know it it is a bit different but come on now. Think about it. Anyways I ordered the nachos, and wow, they were so stale they werent even crunchy yea they were bad. So they took them back and replaced them with another item. That was my only thing. There was no issue replacing just the dish it was not up to par as if chips were left open and just got staled. This is a pretty good restraunt if you have never been. I recommend that you go. BUT, for the buffet, its a bit pricey, but I feel it is a fair price because of all the meat choices you get. We all know ribs, sausage, moiejas, etc. Its pricey, but for $22.50, its well worth it. Now, they do have other choices off their menu. You dont have to have a buffet. Now, if youre a carnivore and a big appetite, then by all means, get the buffet. You will get your moneys worth, and the food is quite tasty. I have yet to go back and just order from the menu.

We take our 2 yr old gk because she loves the pasta shells (sopa) that they serve as a principio. On our last visit we apparently got a server that was not generous on her servings; she served mostly liquid and about 4 shells. I asked if she could serve more shells, she said I would have to charge you. I never had this experience before by other servers because they served the usual amount. I like their botanas and hamburger baskets. Will probably go again, hope I dont get the ungenerous server. Recently, their dine in is almost empty at supper time; during week days. It may be their high prices that are more expensive than other similar restaurants.

Ordered 2 fajita deluxe and the fajita had a bad oder and tasted raw on both orders. Didnt make a big deal and didnt eat the tacos. On the way out to pay I got charged a 15% gratuity for just 2 people. After calling to talk to them juan didnt wana make things right. Disappointed in the customer service. Had 2 bad experiences already. I went for breakfast. Wanted some barbacoa went to the buffet to serve myself as soon I got to where the barbacoa was at automatically a faul smell came from the barbacoa I didnt think anything of it I want and sat down and that smell was bad that I didnt want to eat anymore. Spoke to the server and and it was confirmed it was yesterdays food and was left out. Also, one time, for lunch, I took a bite into a beef Rib, and as soon as I took that Bite a bad smell came out that rib. I let the server know, and I was told that the smell was bbq sauce. Yeah, I dont think so. Mr Bazan, things need to get better

I just ordered the deluxe Mexican plates for takeout. I don t usually eat out but it s my 41st birthday and I didn t want to cook. The food is disgusting. Was in town after moving out the valley years ago, and wanted to experience that home good cooking from before. However, that was not the case. The botany ordered (well done) was the chewiest ever. I had to spit a few pieces out. The chips were tasteless and the salsa was so watered down , I gave up trying to spruce it up. When I asked for a cup to go for my drink I had NOT had a refill on, they charged me for the cup (LOL) and then to top it off, they charged me for using my debit card but did leave a note on my receipt saying I could have saved $2.72 for using cash it s 2023. Cash is not the primary option. I wanted to remember a great spot of my hometown but I left there disappointed. Maybe the charges wouldn t have been an issue had the food not been less than mediocre food.

Where to start.. this used to be my favorite place back when I was a kid. I went to the one on Conway and to say the food looked and tasted like yesterday s is an understatement. Dry meats, no sauce to save them. Crunchy tacos were soggy of hard, and the food quality only got better once more people got there. The location on old 83 before Bryan Rd was way better. To top everything off, for 3 people it was for an eye watering $84! For $84 I sure was expecting hot food at least. Maybe I should ve ordered off the menu. Lastly, the only redeemable item was the arroz on leche, at least it was nice and hot and tasty. Still, the $84 soured any chance of going back in a good while.

The food wasnt that great and there was a cook (I think) just standing behind the buffet with a mad look on his face) I like to smile too everyone and so I did to this man and he just liked at me with a mean expression on his face! The server would barely acknowledge we were there. We had to continuously call on other servers to attend to us. My 10 yr old grandson got 2 enchiladas from the buffet, thinking they tasted like the ones at the other Taco Ole in Sharyland. He treated a piece and didnt like them. We told our server that he didnt like them after one bite and i told her my daughter would eat them since she was having the buffet and my grandson would not be getting anything else from the buffet. She said he still needed to be charged a buffet price! We paid without leaving a tip, which no one there deserved! I prefer Taco Ole in Sharyland on Business 83. $21.99 for a lunch buffet! Well, that explains why all the waitresses are wearing iphone watches. Most of the food sits above steam and dries out fast. Saturday I call to order cheese enchiladas, the employee who took the order told me 5 to 10 min top. I drove there and decided to walk in since it was my first time and wanted to see for myself the inside, thinking maybe one day Ill bring the fam and dine in. The excuse was that its fried straight out of the freezer and the cook was busy and the owner could not talk to us because he was too busy with other orders. Went to pay and the cashier said she wasnt told, waitress said she told the manager and not sure why the cashier was not told. Classic case of he said she said with no one caring or owning up to it. All in all I got $10 off my $35 dish. No sincere apology or good greetings hoping my child does not end up with food poisoning. I will never return here again. Also the food is extremely over salted, all of it. If I could rate it lower than 1 star I certainly would!

This had been my favorite restaurant for over 10 years. Would get a botana for 4 for $40, then increased to $50 & now the price is $75 in such a short span. The meat & chicken lacked flavor. The meat was dry & chewy. It just isn t made the way it was before. Disappointed.

Great Mexican food! Breakfast is delicious and they have the best fajita botanas! They also give you this conchitas soup for each person before your meal and its so good that my kids fight for it!! Even the sweet tea is good that I always get a cup to go. All my family love their fajita botanas! Great for family get togethers or for parties!! Enjoy the homemade flour and corn tortillas!!

If I could give this place negative stars I WOULD. WORST PLACE TO ORDER BOTANA. And thats because I called and complained on Friday morning because I order I 8:32pm on Thursday night and by the time I got my order the restaurant was already closed. Got home found a long hair in the rice. Ugh gross and the BOTANA cheese super dry and old and meat was BURNED. Spoke with Patty the next day she gave my number to Juan which is a manager I suppose he didnt really specify spoke with him and he said he needed to wait for the owner to come in. Which never happened! Called him back today and he said owner can only give me 10% discount. And he hung up on me as well WHILE I WAS ALKING. I asked for the owners name and he couldnt even give me that. TAKE YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE.
