I had the gyozas, egg rolls, and chicken teriyaki. I have had really good Japanese food and really bad. With that being said, dont waste your time or money eating here. The Panda Express across the street is more Japanese than this place. Gyozas werent bad, but the sauce they gave with it tasted fermented and not in a good way. Egg rolls were supposed to be hand rolled. Tasted like it came from Sams or Castco freezer section. The chicken in the chicken teriyaki was steamed. The vegetables were 90% raw. The rice was a pathetic attempt lacking any flavor.

Delicious food! Went twice, first time I ordered their fried calamari (delicious!) and had their Skye Stuffed Chicken. It was yummy, had crab stuffed inside it, the sauce was great, I used the sauces they provided me to dip the chicken and rice in. The veggies were perfect as well. Today I had the super yoko roll, I m in heaven I love it! My friend and I went here on a whim, we always heard it was delicious but never had the time. I m so glad we made the time to go.

This is the second time my friends and I have been here the service was mediocre and we were forced for gratuity even though there was less than six people when we asked about the service fee all they said was it was the machine there was 3 separate bills and we all got charged for a forced tip the food was cold and we felt targeted and forced to pay more just for being young adults the waiter added her own tip of 15 dollars and we did not have an option to remove it this is unacceptable and basically stealing I would not recommend going here unless you want to be scammed We were under the impression that we were going to have to only pay 32 for two meals like the first time and now it was 42?? being over charged just for being young adult it s unfair and we had to cut corners to pay all the bills

This place was very cute. The sushi was DELICIOUS!! As was the Nigiri!! I would come here again. I have it 4 stars because the miso soup was like warm and little flavor. And the cocktails were made with strange recipes but nothing that was horrible. Just unusual. I still definitely recommend this place !!!!! The staff was very friendly even if I didn t speak the language. They really tried to accommodate me and excellent customer service !!!

This is one of my go to in the McALLEN/Mission area of RGV. They have both Sake Kama & Hamachi Kama on their menu. Also a variety of appetizers such as coconut shrimp, calamari, etc . Simply more of a healthy choice. Trying to eat healthy aside from regular exercise does boost your energy levels, confidence and conquering the days with ease

I ordered the baby squid, but they brought the grandpa squid which was tough and chewy and really not well done. I also ordered spicy tuna rolls, but the spicy tuna seems to be ground tuna with a ton of Sriracha and it really doesn t taste like tuna, so I sent it back the experience wasn t good and definitely not worth the price.

It was okay! I had it delivered to my house because of a coupon I had from Favor. It was pretty pricey (actually a lot more than advertised on Favor) Everything was a bit average. The rice was a little hard and the eggrolls were not very good. The cucumbers in the squid salad were kind of mushy and it had a slight off smell.. I wouldnt pay to go here again, HEB Sushi is better for much cheaper.

Not sure how this place has 3.9 stars cause it should be a 1.5 thats only because the place was peaceful and clean. The food here needs some serious work; the California and the Philadelphia Roll are a thumbs down and the Combination Rice was horrible, good thing they dont serve you enough of it (maybe invest in a rice scooper like over Asian restaurants) and the beef was nothing but nerves. Sadly the above mentioned food where the only things I ordered. Also cost of food was a bit high, reason being its not a fancy place and the food presentation was also not great.

Ordered for the first time friend recommended. Let s start with the actual sushi itself. The Rainbow roll had very little sushi on top, and the sashimi sorry but quality just was not there. The squid salad was tasty however insufficient wasabi, with very little soy sauce, even though I asked (Luis or whoever answered the phone) for more they said no and if that was a bad enough, they did not even include chopsticks. Lol! I will not be ordering from this restaurant again.

Zero star They were only two employees in the whole restaurant and the service was terrible. We waited 45 minutes for our food! We decided to leave so we get up from the table then the server approached us and said to please wait that the food was ready. We said ok. The server was forgetting to bring the extra stuff we order. At that time we had enough so we were leaving elsewhere but the owner ask us to please give them an opportunity to serve us. So we ended up staying but with all honesty I will not recommend this restaurant. Very bad experience...

Everything is incredibly overpriced. I waited nearly a half hour for the teriyaki chicken, but it didnt taste anything like chicken teriyaki. In an attempt to make a few ounces of chicken look like it belonged on a $16 plate, about a pound of veggies was applied. This plate had very little actual food on it. Definitely not worth the time or money spent there. My wife liked the sushi (hence the second star,) but she said it was much smaller than sushi at other local places (only much more expensive.) Bottom line: Ill NEVER return to this place.

I always order a Mango Sake Roll, but today it looked different (couldnt see any mango). I tried it anyway. The first bite was spicy, which Mango Sake should not be. Had my husband try it, but he didnt notice the spice. It still didnt seem right though, so I sent it back due to lack of mango. To my surprise, instead of making a new roll, the original was returned to me with a few bits of mango added on top. I tried another bite, and my mouth was on FIRE! I then dissected the roll only to discover fresh jalapeños inside. Mango Sake does not have jalapeños. I sent it back and said I wanted the real Mango Sake, but I now wanted it to go since my husband was finished at this point. The new roll had mangos, but still was not as it was supposed to be. I took it anyway. All this was very disappointing, but because of my husband, I didnt discover till after we had left that they charged me for both the roll I ordered AND the jalapeño laced mistake I didnt ask for. This experience soured my opinion of Yokos...maybe for good. Although I like the rice there, Yokos has little else going for it, and after today, Im not likely to return. I can forgive their mistake, but charging me for it, crossed the line. The $10 Yokos got today for a roll I never ordered and had to send back, potentially cost them all my future business. Im off to find a other place to get sushi.

I remember the old Yokos on 10th...so wanted to try this one out and my wife and I loved it. I was actually surprised at how small the place is...the Yokos on 10th was a good size...this one felt small. It was basically just us there so service was great. We started off with coconut shrimp and the cucumber crab salad (forgot the name) and wow....great start! I love cucumber salad with sweet vinegar...this one tasted fresh...the cucumber was crisp and cut just right. My wife had the coconut shrimp...they were fried just right and the sweet chili sauce was perfect. Loved it... My wife ordered a ramen spicy soup with shrimp...I ordered the Neptune and Sexy Lady rolls. The soup was perfect...it had large strips of shrimp. Honestly, I was expecting those small frozen type shrimps but these felt fresh...they felt meaty. The vegetables with the soup didnt feel frozen...and the slow heat with soup definitely creeps up on you. My rolls were quite delicious! They had a good ratio of filling to rice...each flavor was pronounced. Loved their eel sauce and the spicy mayo... It is a little pricey overall but Ill be honest...I didnt feel robbed walking out because the food was delicious. Definitely recommend!

Service was awful. Let me be clear it had nothing to do with the server, but everything to do with the management he was not trained at all whatsoever. The appetiser was served during the main course. About a 20 minute wait to get a Dr Pepper. Giving them the benefit of the doubt I waited for my roles . I tip my hat to the chef... You must truly not take pride in your work to hand over sushi roles that tear on contact with chopsticks, From 1st glance you can see the roles were not ready. This time around was not the same. Sushi we selected was definately delicious. But apparently they had a new chef so the Emperors boat did not come out the same nor did the amount of meat it had was not the same. Even less so this time. Less beef and was given fried chicken instead of grilled as before and more fried shrimp was added and they forgot the cabbage underneath all the meat. Only thing that was hot on the boat was the fried stuff shrimp. Everything else was barely warm. I added a pic of what the Emperors boat looked like the first time we got it. And Hot Damn it was amazing. Wish I could have given 5 stars this time. Sometimes change is not good

Mediocre Sushi, okay prices and absolutely terrible customer service. Not trying to tell you how to decorate or run your business but when you walk into a sushi joint and they re playing tejano, you re gonna be in for a bad time. No door bell to let the staff know that someone walked in. Guy behind the counter didn t alert the staff, just looked at me. Have to Agree with Jorge...Just ate there. Rice tasted like it was cooked yesterday, stored in fridge and warmed back up today when I ordered it. Chicken had tell tale sign of being warmed up in micrwave with cold and warm spots you typically get when you warm food up in microwave. I was the only patron in there eating....that should have been a clue when I first walked in.
