This is NOT true Mexican food. VERY OVERPRICED & not authentic. Mexican food trucks have better food. No one was at the front to seat us. I almost walked out. Idk how this restaurant hasnt gone out of business. Not coming back & would never recommend this restaurant.

It is a family own restaurant. Every customer is a Sergio s friend. They are only open on Friday and Saturday nights. That s the only disappointment! Otherwise, they have THE BEST seafood dishes ever. You just need to trust Sergio and ask him to make you a dish. He surprises you every time! These are three of his dishes plus THE salsa. My husband and I try to make it every Saturday! I have to say that I am a seafood lover, grew up by the coast, so if I say a seafood dish is good and fresh I know what I am talking about. The funny thing is that my husband does not like seafood and this is the only place that I see him eating seafood with pleasure.

Waited over 30 minutes for the food when the restaurant was empty. When it arrived the shrimp were not cleaned properly so it was very gross. The waitress also did not apologize.

Fresh and prepared as you prefer. The crew that made Siete Mares a favorite of President Bushs Secret Service detail have hit another one out of the park. If you go there for anything other than the Baja-style seafood, youre missing the point. Delicious and affordable, but only open Fri and Sat, so call first.

If you are looking for the standard fare Mexican Restaurant, this is not it. It is better described as serving Central or South American seafood, and it is amazing! The chips and salsa were so good that I could have made a meal out of them. The salsa was different than any other I ve tried and was served like I like it: warm. I had the Taco s Bistek for an appetizer. It was a smoky tender bite of pure beef bliss, wrapped in a corn tortilla. As far as the main course goes, I was almost full before it came. Huge portion sizes made a to go box mandatory. My wife said her shrimp dish was good, and she enjoyed the house baked bread to dip in the soup the shrimp was flavored with. My grilled red snapper was as good as any I have tasted and will try it blackened next time. This will become one of my regular once or twice a month stop-ins. And it is BYOB, so grab you a bottle of wine, or some good beer to bring with you.

Amazing as always!! You should walk in this establishment knowing you will leave full and happy. Sergio himself is one of the friendliest people and the food is extremely flavorful!! This coming from someone who is not the biggest fan of fish, tonight Sergio talked me into it and im glad he did. Lets not forget his chips and Salsa also amazing.

Went to Sergios on February 27th, service was horrible, took 45 minutes to get our order and sat there for another 20 minutes after we were done eating waiting on refills and to get our check. They had 1 large group of about 20 in there when we arrived that had already been served and from what we could see were almost done eating. The food was amazing as always but it will be a while before we go back.

Sergio is the MAN!! His blackened fish is the BEST! I ve had blackened fish at seaside restaurants in Cabo & I ve had blackened fish at very high end restaurants in New Orleans, and while those were very good, NOBODY does it better than Sergio! His seafood soup is outstanding as well. I ate at Sergio s last nite, I m having leftovers for lunch, and I ve already called him and placed an order to go for dinner tonite....

Food was good. It was too quiet. The menus dont do the food justice. I think with a little background music it would increase the ambiance. The menus are vague at best, maybe with some pictures of the meal and a better description it would sway my attention. All and all the food was outstanding. I have enjoyed food from the food truck but as a sit down meal it was lacking luster of a great restaurant.

The food at this place is definitely worth the wait. Our party of four got a variety of different type of plates. Everyone enjoyed their entree and the chips and dip they give before the meal was very good. This place is really expensive though so you should be aware of that.

This was the most disappointing food Ive had in a long time. The ceviche was watery, poorly executed, and gray colored, as if it had been sitting out for a while. We ordered the platter of fish for 2, which consisted of a bunch of borderline unrecognizable different types of seafood that were all seemingly cooked in the same pan. Thus, so many different elements were over-cooked, it was like chewing on pieces of rubber in a pile of mush. The rice was extremely over-cooked as well. Seeing as its advertised as a seafood Mexican restaurant, Im not sure how you completely fail at cooking both seafood and Mexican rice. I had high hopes, but I will definitely not be returning.

Owner chef: authentic recipes by Sergio. The pulpo was amazing - tender - the best weve ever had, seasoned just right. We also had the Plato Pacifico with Atlantic Salmon and that was also very good. Tender, moist and not over cooked. It was nice to see that the Salmon had the skin on and the skin was crispy and fatty the way it should be. This place is a hidden gem in Waco if you like Mexican seafood.
