First time trying food from here. We got chicken, brisket, brisket tacos, mashed potatoes, macaroni, rice and everything, absolutely everything was DELICIOUS. The chicken was soft, moist and full of flavor. I dont know what the use to season it, but it was good. The brisket was juicy and with good flavor too. Unfortunately, I didnt get to take pictures of our plates because we devoured them. Thats how good the food was. Definitely coming back. Keep up the good work!

My wife and I ordered a brisket burger with the tater tot casserole it was delicious. The brisket was tender and moist. My wife loved the casserole, she said it took to a warm comfort place. This place absolutely fills your graving for BBQ. The atmosphere is relaxing as if eating in a blue grass rock joint. Very welcoming and friendly place. Let s not forget to praise that sweet tea and lemonade very refreshing. Will definitely be coming back more often!

Everything here was delicious! I tried 3 different tacos: chicken, sausage and brisket. Each one was great in its own way! Their BBQ sauce had the perfect spiciness to compliment each of the tacos. The sides were on point too! Creamed corn tasted amazing with fresh roasted corn and the tater tot salad was a perfect blend of flavors! Saved a banana pudding for desert later and was not disappointed by that either!

I was not given a receipt or asked if I wanted one, my total was 19.99 for a brisket sandwich two sides a drink and a Texas Twinkie, everything is charged correct from the help of them on fb messenger, so I appreciate that, but the rice was salty and the tater tots were soggy and didn t finish either of them, it s not worth paying 19.99. Didnt take pictures because we inhaled the food lol anyways, this place has the best sides I have tried, compared to Aces BBQ, Smokin Moon, LoneStar BBQ, and two other smaller places. The potato casserole was AMAZING! The rice was FULL of flavor as well as the cream of corn. The beans were also great! The chicken was also full of flavor, juicy, and seasoned to perfection as well as the Texas Twinkie. The only thing was the brisket was a little dry, but the sides made up for it. Whoever on here say that the sides lack flavor dont know what theyre talking about, the sides are full of flavor, idk how much more flavor one may add without it getting overwhelming. We will be coming back. Glad we stopped by to try it! P.S- they were also generous with the brisket portion

I ordered the 3 meats 2 sides as a to go order. For the amount it cost, I expected a bit more on the plate. I had ordered mac and cheese and mashed potatoes for the sides. I ordered brisket, chicken, and sausage for the meats. Although the brisket and chicken were soft and tender, they had absolutely zero flavor. The small cup of barbecue sauce that was provided to me was not enough to make up for this lack of flavor. Similarly, the Mac and cheese did not even appear to have any taste of cheese. The only appetizing thing on my plate was the sausage.

Maybe I caught them on a bad evening? Seen this place on a few other foodie reviews. They had all high praises for The Drunk Chicken. That is why I made it a priority to try. I cannot remember the name of the tacos I ordered, but they are basically a chicken birria taco. They originally told me they were out of chicken, so I ordered brisket instead. When they brought it out, they said they found more chicken. Wanted rice and beans as my sides, but they were out of beans. So I got potato casserole instead. They have five gallon jugs with teas, lemonade, and kool-aid. There also is a salsa bar you can use. Honestly, everything was bland. Except the potato casserole was awesome. Everything else though was completely flavorless. Not sure why this place is popular. All the tables were dirty.

Homey local bbq place. 3 meat plate was about $20 with drink with good portions. The ratones ( jalapeño poppers) are good but they have no heat; they are halves with no seed/stem and coated in bbq sauce. When I make my own I leave the seed/stem inside, add cream cheese and wrap in bacon, as it should be IMO. Lunch is busy so get there early; daily special is quarter chicken and 2 sides for about $10, which is also very reasonable. Have been several times and go back often.

Brisket was solid. I had the most brisket. They did a good job with smoke and texture. I was just disappointed with the flavor profile. Could not taste the seasoning. Very disappointed with the experience I had. First, the food was underwhelming; the brisket had too much fat on it and chicken was a little burnt. Additionally, the food is a bit pricey. Second, they seemed inconvenience to be helping my family with my order. Third, the dining area smelled like dirty mop. Not sure if they are replacing the mop water for cleaning, but it smelled rough. I feel bad leaving a review like this, however I dont think it was fair to me and my kids to pay that much and get a dining experience like that.

Really cool bbq spot! With the name I initially assumed it was just chicken. They have a full bbq menu and a very nice place! I got the smash burger special and the burger was juicy, bun was a little greasy but its a burger its expected. Fries were solid and well seasoned! The lemonade has a nice tang with amazing sweetness. Would definitely come back whenever I am in the area! Staff was constantly walking around to each table asking if anything was needed. Went there during my lunch hour. A fellow coworker was saying how he loved it so me and a couple other coworkers tagged along to try it out. He kept saying how the chicken was juicy and really good so we thought wed try it for ourselves. They ran out of chicken and it wouldnt be ready until another hour and a half. We were bummed but I settled for the 2 meats. Brisket and pulled pork with sides of rice and fries. It was good and would be definitely trying it out again and hopefully trying the chicken this time. It was an inviting atmosphere and staff were very friendly even if they werent the ones attending to us so that was nice.

A few sound dampening panels or something may help the dining room not feel so loud, but other than that its a great spot. This place is great! The brisket and chicken were delicious. The brownies are amazing as well. Good portions. Prices are good. Friendly people. Cant wait to try the rest on the menu. Keep up the good work.

I really liked the The Drunken Chicken. Located on Mulberry between expressway 83 and old 83 in Mission. The Drunken Chicken is literally a hole in the wall, due to the size of the dining area. But what it lacks in size it makes it up in character. The decor definitely speaks Texas BBQ. I ordered the rib plate with two sides, and for my friend the half chicken plate. We wanted to share everything so we ordered, the beans, potato salad, green beans and corn, mac and cheese as our sides. The plates come with Thick sliced bread and a side of BBQ..The beans were a tad undercooked, canned corn,, but overall we enjoyed our meals. I give the Drunken Chicken a thumbs up and worthy of a second visit.

This is a BBQ place. Even though I ordered to go there is a dine in option. I ordered a two meat option which was brisket and chicken my sides were potato salad and rice. The brisket was so good it was falling apart. The chicken was also good not dry very moist. My sides were also good. Service was prompt I recommend this place if your looking to get a bite to eat from local BBQ place. Prices are reasonable and the servings dont disappoint.
