I went to try finally after new ownership and I can report that it is still holds up. One of the only places in town, if not the only place u can get gluten free and vegan baked goods. I had a plum scone today and I ll have one tomorrow too. It s one of those places you need to order 3 things from. Vegetarian options: A lot of the items are vegetarian on their own with an option to add meat, and there are also meat substitutes. They also have vegan mozzarella, etc. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, dairy free and vegan options readily available and easy to order. The tofu scramble is my fave.

The first time my boyfriend and I went, we absolutely loved it and couldn t wait to be back. Well the second time was extremely disappointing. The staff members seemed miserable and didn t even greet us. We placed an order and after a long time we realized that the order was taking too long so I asked about our food, and the staff couldnt even find our ticket. It seemed like they forgot about it or lost the ticket. There was no apology from the cashier, just told me that they would get our order ready. When our food finally arrived, my sweet potato hash was extremely cold and so was the egg on my boyfriend s avocado toast. The food was clearly out for too long. One staff member did apologize when he served our pancakes which were warm, but overall, the service was lacking. I urge management to train their staff to pay better attention and provide better customer service.

The service was good. The people were great. The food on the otherhand was the opposite. The bacon was cold and had no flavor while the pancakes tasted burnt...better off going to cafe cappuccino and paying about the same for more superior food. I just wanted to be honest in this review.

If you re looking for fresh, healthy and delicious, this is the place. It s one of my favorite Waco restaurants because it s obvious they put love and passion into what they create. The Kale Walnut Ceaser Salad is so yummy. I got it with chicken which is flavorful and juicy with a crispy exterior. It s hard not to order it every time.

We had stopped by here on our trip to Waco previously, then the experience was great. But this time when we decided to come back my mother with bad allergies to gluten dairy and egg, was given a flour tortilla even after expressing multiple times that she had really bad allergies. When given her food she has asked again and they said it was four after she had already eaten some of it. They offered to fix it but by then it was too late. She is now extremely sick. And the waitress who caused the issue was not as apologetic as expected the response was yeah that was probably my fault . It was expected that she would be fine eating here as she had before, but after this experience we will not be returning.

My husband and I have come to eat here a few times since Harvest on 25th opened but it was always busy and we re impatient. We finally made it today and wow, everything was so good! First I planned to give the potatoes to my husband but they were delicious, caramelized and seasoned perfectly. And who knew I needed a Carrot Aioli in my life. Now I have to learn how to make it to pour over everything. The Zucchini /Mushroom omelet, my husband s Blueberry pancakes and eggs were all amazing too. Sorry no pics but we were hungry. I ve shared their instagram stories with my Airbnb guests for years but now we ll be regulars. An absolute Waco gem!

For a healthy restaurant they re not very accommodating. I asked them if I could have anything made without salt and they basically told me no, that everything was pre-made. UPDATE JAN 2024: 5*! In a town that has a taco truck and cookie shop on every corner, harvest on 25th is a much needed establishment. The best part about this place is the prioritization of making healthy, nutritious, AND delicious food. The server could not bother to make ice tea for us when we tried to order it. No other customers in the place. She seemed bothered when we asked to order. Food was brought out, but we had to retrieve our flatware and napkins. None of that was explained to us. Eggs were cold and barely visible under all the sauce. Sausage had to be saw cut. I paid $1.50 for a side of avocado. I got 2.5 slivers with grey spots. Workers didnt speak to one another. Way too many employees more concerned with cleaning than the product or service. We wont be back.

I have been plant based for five years and have tried a lot of different vegan restaurants. This has got to be one of my favorite restaurants I have been to! I was traveling from Dallas to San Antonio and wanted to venture outside my usual Chipotle lunch run in Waco. We got a walnut kale salad with a delicious cashew ranch dressing as well as a late summer sandwich with beets, pickled carrots, and hummus. The service was amazing! The lady at the counter was so cheerful, genuinely happy, and informative of where all the food came from (all local Texas farmers). Everything was delicious and I will definately be making this my new spot to return to when I go through Waco!

I ordered the breakfast sandwich with sausage. It sounded very unique with the caramelized onion and the smoked collard greens. I was very underwhelmed. The sandwich comes out looking like a slider. The collard greens smokiness really overpowered the sandwich. I initially thought they had forgotten the sausage on the sandwich, but it was actually ground sausage, not a patty. $2 sausage equated to about a spoonful. This isnt an item that I would order again. My bf ordered pancakes that were good, they had a little different texture. He also ordered the migas which he really liked. I like the farm to table concept, but what I ordered didnt really suit me. The restaurant is kind of boho minimalist and is clean, nice atmosphere. Parking: There is a handful of parking in front of the restaurant, and if there arent any open spaces, there isnt much available parking nearby

You walk in, order at the counter, pay a tip, then seat yourself. This should have been my first clue. Pancakes were palm sized, you have to get your own water/salt/pepper etc. , but there are only a few so be preparedto share with other tables. The only thing the staff does is bring your food to your table which is about 20 feet from the kitchen. I ordered migas with a side of potatoes and a kombucha, total was $21 pre tip. After a few bites, we left the rest and headed for one of our old standbys we knew served good breakfast tacos. Sorry! Sweet potatoes dont belong in breakfast tacos! Our French toast was completely black as well as the bottom of our pancake. Plus everything just tasted weird. Unfortunately we leave town before the restaurant opens again but hopefully if we come back we will get to try the food this time. The reason I updated from 1 star to 4 stars is the customer service from the owner went above and beyond and I appreciate that. First Review: We waited outside in 40 degree weather for 45 minutes because we put our name on the waitlist. At 50 minutes I asked how much longer and she said I had to get in the very long line in the store. The waitlist only guarantees you have a table when you get to the front of the line. No one told us that when we put our name on the list. We could have easily made it to the front of the line if we had known it. The waitlist text actually says they will text when our table is ready. Food might be great. Ill never know. The waitlist should be more clear how it works.

NO NEED TO PUT YOURSELF ON THE WAITLIST -- youll have to wait in line regardless. The savory food was fresh, and genuinely delicious. The pancakes, however, were lacking.

Went to Harvest on 25th specifically for their Gluten Free pancakes. Everything was great. Menu is a bit limited but that seems to be the expectation for GF/Vegan restaurants. I would go again. Only thing that concerned me was the table behind me was served Gluten toast on accident and the mistake wasn t picked up until the guest had eaten some. I didn t have any issues and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the food!

Coffee was good. Kinda reminds me of Busy Brew Masonic Coffee but with a dull taste at the end. SAVORY APRICOT + CHILI TOAST That toast is spicy hot! I think Im sweating. I think they use chili oil on this. Taste like eating toast with egg, drizzled with chili oil and garnished with basil. The apricot didnt quite come through with the sweetness. All I cna get from it is the spiciness. ZUCCHINI & WILD MUSHROOM OMELET Omelette is overcooked. Its not the soft omelette, but more like fried egg. Maybe thats how they do it here. I did like the basil oil (if my taste buds serves me right) on the potatoes. I think they call it salsa verde on the website. Seasoned well. Pretty tasty and unique as expected.

This is more of a younger generation place to eat. Vegan foods and recipes that push the boundaries on what is normal food. Extremely strong coffee. Good orange juice and the sausage was good. The eggs were good. The potatoes with some kinda sauce on top was good but to much sauce. Otherwise good place.

Harvest on 25th is for sure at the top of my restaurant lists in Waco. Every meal has been delicious and fresh. This breakfast tostada is a delight! A crispy corn tortilla with a bean purée and an egg on top. The sauces Harvest makes have depth and balance out the flavors. I can t say enough about the QUALITY of food here. Order anything. Order everything!

I went to harvest with a couple friends, one friend got the yoghurt which looked awesome and the other friend and I split the plum toast and pepper toast which we added egg to. The plum toast was really good, not too sweet, it paired well with the Thai basil and chili oil. The pepper toast mightve been even better. It had pan seared shishitos and we added an egg to it. I was a little unsure about the cashew cheese spread but it was wonderful. We also got the breakfast sandwich and each had a third of it. It too was great. That was our last breakfast together since I was moving and I am really happy we chose this restaurant. Only issue was I intended to get a scone on the way out and forgot. I was sad

I have to say, I had some trouble finding their current location after they burnt down (they still serve to-go out of a nearby commissary kitchen) I had the Moroccan Rice Bowl and it was the best vegan dish I have ever eaten. Everything was perfect about it. I will definitely Arely order this again!

We placed a to-go order through their website on a Saturday around noon, which I m sure is one of their busiest times. The order was correct no missing items or mistakes. Most importantly, the food was excellent! We ordered for my husband and I and another couple. The other couple is vegan and was impressed by all the vegan options. My husband and I are not vegan but we actually ordered vegan dishes, as well, because they sounded so good and were very impressed. I got the falafel wrap and loved it. The combination of ingredients was innovative and went well together. My husband got one of the pizzas and it was also excellent and had a healthy amount of toppings. We also love their kombucha and appreciate the fact that it s an authentic, raw kombucha.

My wife and I looooove this spot. I got the chicken tacos (x4) and my wife got the vegan tacos with the tempeh chorizo and avocado (x3). The chicken tacos were absolutely epic. They were braised in some tomato sauce thats really good. The vegan tacos were epic and had a charred flavor to them that hit the spot. We also got the pancakes . People working there were also very friendly and got our food ready quick.

Great tasting food and nice atmosphere. But as others have mentioned it is annoying to be told that they are out of many (6 or more) items first thing in the morning including eggs! You might want to just list the items that you have available on a blackboard daily, and not continue to pass out menus with multiple items listed that arent available.

I am a Waco local and have come to Harvest on 25th many times. I enjoy coming with friends mostly because of ambiance and knowing where my food is coming from. As much as I do enjoy it, I have had some issues getting what I want on the menu at every visit. I am gluten free and have other allergies so I have to be extremely careful- Harvest has many options for people like me, but they havent had gluten free bread a single time I have been there. I have tried going right as they open, early morning, mid morning, afternoon...and each time they dont have bread. I dont know if they dont have a lot of GF bread on hand due to the cost, but I dont think items items on the menu should be advertised saying they can be made GF. At my last visit, I had to sub the toast because they didnt have any (again) with the GF pancake. Instead of taking off the price of the toast and replacing that with the pancake, I had to pay the price of the FULL meal AND the gluten free pancake- I thought the employee was replacing the items but when I was paying, I realized I was paying $3 for one pancake that would sub for the toast I wasnt getting...but still paying for. I was told that because the pancake costs more, I have to pay for the pancake. I adore and love that this place is local but I was disappointed that I still didnt get any bread and had to pay extra for it.
