Weve eaten here multiple times before they were sold. Due to the confusion during the sale and subsequent new owners figuring out the restaurant we stopped coming in. Today we tried them again, grabbing 2 orders of their bulgogi to-go, only to discover that their version of bulgogi is really expensive peppered beef with velveted meat. Very disappointed

This used to be my go to for Korean wings and bibimbap and loved it when it first opened. However I m not sure if there s been a change in ownership or management. My friend and I came here on a Thursday night and we ordered bibimbap. We got our food and the stones didn t seem like they were sizzling like they used to. We didn t pay much attention to it and dug in the food which tasted rather bland. I tried adding soy sauce and homemade sauce but something was still off in the flavor. Our waitress didn t even bother to check up on us after serving the food nor to refill drinks. Sad because my friends and I would bring a lot of business to this place almost every weekend.

Walking in, we were greeted with a friendly voice that took us to our table. And took our drink orders. Brought out a snack of kimchi, pickled radish, seaweed and bean sprouts- yum!!! We absolutely love Korean food. My favorite thing I constantly crave is kimchi. So I get excited when it actually tastes amazing! Seriously I could eat just a big plate of theirs and nothing else - it was that good! But of course we ordered more. The Tokoyaki was a nice crisp ball that melted in your mouth- careful they are hot!! But not spicy. They are a crisp on the outside creamy slightly sweet gooey inside. My daughter was mad I ate two of the five without sharing. we had some seaweed soup- yum!!! For the main, My husband had Golden fried rice with pineapple. Chicken. Which he loved! I had spicy pork hot stone bowl, and my daughter had bulgogi hot stone bowl. Y all I ve always taken pictures of our food, but it was so delicious and we were having fun chatting that I didn t even think of pictures until we were done! The owner is a very nice man. We enjoyed chatting with him for a bit. Vegetarian options: Definitely getting tofu hot stone next time and kimchi pancakes. :) there are plenty of options for me to bring my sister when she comes out. :)

This place claims to be Korean, but the dishes are not Korean at all. They try to imitate the Korean dishes to varying degrees of success. Some are pretty close to the actual Korean dishes, while others are far, far away and doesnt taste even remotely close to the actual dish. The main reason this gets a 1 star is because they substitute the premium ingredients that actual Korean restaurants use with very cheap ingredients, but still charge premium prices for their dishes. This is just straight up awful. If youre going to run a bootleg restaurant, the price should reflect that, not charge as much, or in some cases even more than the actual restaurant.

Really enjoyed this place. We can to celebrate my cousin birthday and the atmosphere was really pleasant. Loved the service here to, that is pretty important to me. We order appetizers of Gyoza, Egg Rolls, and Soy Garlic Chicken Wings. Let me just say first of all, the chicken wings are a must try. I really want to come back and try the other favors. The crispness of the crust and seasoning together was perfection. I ordered the fried rice with chicken and beef. Everyone else ordered different dishes of the hot stone bowls. One was the Bulgogi, one order the shrimp, another ordered the Bibimbap, and a spicy pork. We enjoyed them all. Just a little warning, the hot stone bowls are really hot. So handle with caution but enjoy!!!

Is the food completely authentic traditional Korean? No. Is it bad? No! I lived in Korea for three years and can say that, no the food isnt quite the same, but it is still good! If you have never had Korean this is a great stepping stone in Midland as we do not have many places like this. Personally, I think they need to work on the gochu for the Bibimbap and the Soondubu Jigae (tofu stew). Both very tasty! But not quite right and could prolly be easily fixed. The tofu stew tasted like they are using soybean base from the other stew, which isnt the right flavor (instead should be more Gochugaru focused). That being said, I really enjoyed eating here as I really miss Korean food, they satisfied that for me. The dolsot bibimbap is really good and gimbap very tasty! As far as price, it is to be expected. They have to import all the ingrediants, so of course it will be more. I also had no problem with the service they were all very nice and food came out quick. Def go and check it out!!!

Went here for the first time today. The entire experience was great. The starter vegetables were so good; pickled radishes, broccoli, cucumbers with a spicy sauce and some soybean sprouts. Pickled radishes were the absolute best tasting. I got the pot stickers to start off with and they were good. Then got the bibimpap with spicy pork which was extraordinary. Ill definitely recommend this new restaurant to all of my friends!

I went to Oppa Korean Restaurant. Three people asked me for my drink order. The last person didn t know the beer I was talking about, Asahi beer on their menu. I ordered Fire Wings, after 15 minutes they said they couldn t make it, they were out of sauce. I then went with the garlic soy wings, again they couldn t make it. What a rotten birthday experience.

Great food and great service. The bibimbap bowls had a really good flavor but I would ve been fine if it didn t come in the stone bowl because it never cooled down enough to eat. I liked they re hot sauce though.

We come in here at least once every 2 weeks. I m sure they know us by now. Whether it s to-go or dine in, they re always really sweet and the food fresh and delicious. Even if it isn t authentic according to other reviews, the food is good and I appreciate their kind service. Remember that this IS Midland...it s hard to get good restaurants here to stay. So, we should appreciate the good places that we DO get. We re here to support.

I m from Korea and I love to cook Korean food. I am impressed with this restaurant. Food overall is great and well curated menu to cater to non-Korean and Korean clientele. Price may seem little high, but their generous portion offset the cost. In reality, if you go to Houston or Dallas, you can expect to may 20% more. Staff was very friendly. And while mask restrictions is off, staff was wearing masks. Seafood pancake was crispy, and had generous portion of ingredients. They should add bit more green onions. Sweet spicy chicken was great. Hot pot rice bowl was on point. They also served traditional seaweed soup, which was a great touch and authentic. Galbi (beef ribs) were generous portion, I think it could use more seasoning or longer time marinating. It was still good enough. Don t forget to get Hite beer, a light beer from korea. Very refreshing. Decor is nice, bright and lively, and exudes Korean vibe with kpop music. Keep up the good work!

This restaurant is a breath of fresh air for West Texas! We had this to go the first time and it was super yummy. We couldn t wait to eat inside and experience the food super fresh. We finally had it yesterday! We ordered a smorgasbord of delicious dishes. My favorite was the combo pineapple fried rice. Great flavor and plenty of meat! I love the pork belly wraps and anything bulgogi has been delectable. The staff is super hospitable and very attentive. We will definitely have this as a regular place for Korean food.

This is, hands down, my favorite restaurant in Midland! I love the bulgogi bibimbap - comes out sizzling in a hot stone bowl. My sister and friend enjoyed the pineapple fried rice, served out of an entire pineapple delivered on your plate. Fun bubbling fish display for the kiddos. Music is authentic. And the staff are so hospitable. Can t wait to try the kimbap!

If your wanting authentic Korean this is not the place. I did 2 tours in South Korea and this food is not close. The pork belly is completely unseasoned even with the sauces its pretty bland. My wifes bulgogi was so bland it wasnt worth eating. The appetizer fried sausage was 2 cheap hotdogs rolled in some spice and served almost to greasy to eat.

Finally a place in Midland to indulge in Korean fare, menu is limited and they dont come anywhere close to the selection other spots have that Ive been to. They have great banchan and the bulgolgi was delicious. It seems that they can prepare other things off menu because they got me kimbap which wasnt on the menu. Will go back to see if they can make yuk gae jang.

This place left an amazing first impression on a door dash order alone. The food was amazing. Even in to-go bowls they made an effort to artistically lay out the food. The egg rolls were cut in half which was a nice touch to complement dipping them in sauce. Everything was neatly packaged. They gave me two teas when I ordered one maybe because the cups were small. Everything oozed attention to detail and consideration for the customer. I might have to get of my rear and go visit in person.
