The staff is kind and supportive to each other and to the residents. The facility is top notch, clean and accessible. This was the only place for my mom.

I can t believe a place like this his exists, it is immaculate, I don t know where they find they many caring, attentive and professional people and have gathered them all up to make what must be one of the best rehab facilities in Texas at least. They immediately started working with my mom, yesterday she couldn t lift her are, early am up for bath/ clean bedding and clothes, pt, oc its like eating at your favorite diner, I took a bite. 24 hours and I believe my mother has a good chance of enjoying her great grand children. Do not hesitate to allow Mesquite rehabilitation Institute care and repair your loved ones. Amazing. I am so grateful for this diamond in the rough. Trust God

My grandma was admitted into the rehab center and they treated her very well . The food was great and visitors can buy a meal ticket for 5$ and eat with your loved one . The only negative thing I have to say is one of the physical therapy techs(male) was very adamant about giving my grandmother a shower after she refuses to be bathed by a male. He proceeded to try and remove her shirt and I guess he realized she wasn t going to allow him to bath her . It took 4 days for her bathed after that.

I went to pick up someone and was very impressed by the cleanliness of this establishment. You can see how shiny those floors are. While I was there, and in the second floor, the floor guy came through with his waxing machine. The machine was very efficient. He swept through the corridor seamlessly and his machine worked great; as he passed me, there was absolutely no water, wetness or dampness left behind. I was impressed! Then as I needed help to move the patient, they were helpful in getting the resident ready. They were great and friendly.

I can t say enough good things about the staff here, they are wonderful. My dad had such a great experience from the nursing staff and rehabilitation team, and the kitchen. The meals mean so much when you re in a hospital and they did not disappoint.

Beware when considering this facility. For the most part the rehab is good but a couple on the nursing staff sucks. There are a couple that come in in a bad mood and make sure it is passed around. Mom would call for pain meds and over 30 minutes later still nothing heard from anyone. Then they come in and want to scream at the patient and family that has been here Day and night doing their job for them. Not happy

Mesquite Specialty Hospital is a place to be for good quality of care for short and long term hospitalization. The staffs are well trained and highly professional. During my stay at MSH, I received a VIP treatment and I felt like going home no more. My appreciation goes to God almighty for great healing. Also my gratitude goes to the Nursing manager Mrs Sherrie B. Dr Reddy, Dr Amipara and Dr Achaya for all the great work that was done. Kudos to the nurses, PCT, housekeeping, pharmacy dept, dietary department and the case mgrs. You all are great. I am blessed and honored to be part of your family during my stay at MSH. I will not forget the OT and PT for making me stronger in my ADL. If I would recommend any hospital, five stars is an under statement. I will highly recommend MSH to family, friends and nursinghomefacilities. I say a big thank you and I feel so honored to be part of your Family. With much love from, Christina Oshogbe.

My mother has stayed at this facility before and it went well. This time it has been miserable. They allowed her incision to get infected because Kenny didnt change her. We asked for days for her to have the catheter removed because they have purewick which she successfully used in the hospital. They said she needed bladder training. She didnt because she asked us to take her to the bathroom. Now they say she is retaining and needs the catheter back. Today they told me they were taking her to the ER and I needed to go and sign papers. She was brought to the hospital but not the ER. so I sat there an hour and took off work, at my expense, for no reason. I believe Rachael did this on purpose to cause me problems because I didnt believe them about the catheter. I think this place is run by monsters.

Today was my first visit. Troy my PT was very thorough in explaining what I needed. He was patient, kind and caring. AlTosha helped me with my paperwork and she was kind. There was another young man at the desk and he heard me say how much I like an ink pen and before I left he gave it to me. I m grateful that I have a schedule that will meet my needs. I m excited to understand what I need to do to get better.

My brother was there for 2 weeks and he had a great experience with all the staff and he said the food was good also. The bed wasnt too comfortable, but that was his only problem. When he was leaving, the nurses, techs and other staff used clappers to say goodbye. It was really nice.

I was transferred here from Lancaster hospital after my total knee replacement surgery. I stayed here for 22 days. The physical therapy I received was excellent Cory help me get my knee and leg strong enough to be able to go home. She is very knowledgeable about every part that needed to worked on. Sholandra, was my occupational therapy. I was so happy the first day she came into my room to introduce herself. Once I found out that she could help me get a shower she had won my affection. She also help me with my upper body strength, since I couldnt hold my weight on the walker. Kindell, was one of my techs for physical or occupational therapy. He used to go get me or take me back to my room for therapy. I enjoyed hes patience and understanding of my pain. I enjoyed our conversations which was very interesting. Alex, was my other tech, very kindly he let me borrowed his gloves so I could used them every time I needed to get up from my wheelchair, do my weights, or walk with my walker. As i explained to him that since I didnt have strength in my hands, the equipment was hurting my hands. Precious was one of my nurses, she was awesome, full of life. You can tell that she was happy to come to work. I used to look forward when I knew she was coming to work. They were two techs that help the nurses in the morning. María, and a black lady that were really nice to me. I will always be grateful for getting all the things I needed. . They were two other people that I want to mentioned. I cant recall their names at this point. These 2, a man and a woman check me in when I arrived from the hospital in an ambulance. I was running a fever ( I dont know why). But they hook me up with my meds, made me feel at home even though it was another hospital set up. .

Worst place ever. Do not trust this place to care for your family members. They leave them unattended and let them fall. Nurses do not care about the patients, they are so unprofessional.

I dont know how they do it but Mesquite Rehabilitation Institute is a great place to recover. They are rated in the top 10% in the nation. I do not know how there could be a friendlier or more helpful staff. The Doctors were on top of any problems. One I didnt know I had. Occupational therapy and physical therapy were great at.pushing me a bit farther that I wanted to go to help me recover.I could actually get a hot cup of coffee (PRN). I thought the kitchen did an adequate job considering all the different diets of the patients. They were willing to cook off menu items for you. If you have a choice, go here.

This is the worst Rehab. I have ever seen it heard of. My Mom went in for rehab and 17 days later walked worse than she did when she got out of the hospital with her broken hip. Then they let her fall and broke it again. Ridiculously poor care. Did not even xray it just to check. Discharged her the next day.

My dad has stayed there 3 times and never wants to leave. He claims hes treated like a king! The physicians are attentive to detail and the staff is friendly and go out of their way to help. Now we appreciate it even more after he went to another facility where the care (or lack of) has been horrible. Would highly recommend MRI!
