Had a fantastic dining experience at a charming restaurant/bar on the Riverwalk. Tried the Rueben Egg Rolls and Fish & Chips - both were delicious and cooked to perfection. My face hurt from laughing so much. I don t know how the piano player could be so hilarious and his ability to improvise jokes non stop as he asked customers questions. He at the same time took song request from the crowd and usually knew all the words and was able to play on the piano and joke etc. Truly amazing.

Didn t try any food, but the fish and chips looked (and smelled) good! The bartenders were very knowledgeable. They weren t the friendliest, but it is an older and very popular bar I imagine they put up with a lot of bad behavior and have just developed a tough mentality. The piano player was @TheKeithJames and he was amazing! The Guinness pour was perfect, as expected!

Favorite selection: Fish and Chips Order consisted of: Irish Tea Sprite Non alcoholic Beer-Guiness Reuben Eggrolls Fish & Chips Coddfish Sandwich Black and Bleu Burger (without Bleu cheese) 3 Margaritas Total meal cost: $132.41 Went with my family. The guy playing g the piano was great. Alot of fun, knew how to sing and play well. My dad ordered the irish tea and said it wasnt bad, but that it was not his thing (an acquired taste). The non alcoholic Guinness tasted like a Malta, but without the sugar. Fun alternative for people who cant drink alcohol. My younger brother said he enjoyed his Black and Bleu burger and cooked it the way he wanted. Everyone enjoyed the Reuben Eggrolls, I thought they were very cool and creative. My codfish sandwich tasted great along with the crispy fries, but the whole thing kinda fell apart after a few bites. The fish and chips were also very nice and paired well with the sauce (tarter, maybe?). The price was kind of expensive, though. I might return just for the guy playing the piano. Thats what made it worth it. Vegetarian options: Its not an ideal place for vegans. Only vegan item on the menu is beer Kid-friendliness: After 7 p.m., patrons under 21 are not allowed. On certain days, they do family-friendly entertainment. I would recommend parents check in advance.

We stopped by on a visit to the Riverwalk. We heard it was a fun piano bar and we had five people in our party. The waitress came by twice to ask us what we wanted and we were not ready to order. The bar tender came over to our table and started YELLING at us about how we were in a place of business and the next time the waitress comes by we need to order drinks. He YELLED at us in front of everyone and there were two or three other tables that had not ordered, and there were MANY empty seats and tables. It was a Tuesday night. He went back to the bar and glared at us. We felt attacked and unsafe. The waitress never came back by, so we left. I have never seen anyone yell at a customer like that before and it made me feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. We were all afraid for our safety.. Kid-friendliness: The piano player was cussing and making sexual jokes so it is not appropriate for children.

I walked in thinking that your GMB listing time for closing at 2am was accurate and mentioned this and a girl spoke up saying well that s wrong and I said I can get it changed on your listing mind you it s 1:25am. The significance is that I was bringing my gf to check out your place for the first time and due to the fact we came to the place claiming to be open online for the last stop of the night we were rudely turned down for a drink after I asked her for the proper time so I can report it on Google. She treated me like I was drunk and spoke to me EXTREMELY RUDELY. I am not drunk and she treated me like I was trash. She s toxic and bad for business. If you fire her like she deserves I ll take off this review and be happy to come back. We are kind professionals My gf is a brain Dr. and I m a 9 company business owner and if this person worked for me I d fire them instantly for talking to a client this way. Absolutely appalling.

Over all 3.8 stars. Atmosphere is a lot of fun. A guy was playing piano and he was good. Food was pretty solid (we had wings and dirty fries). Service was just ok but ONLY because there wasn t enough help. The two people I saw working the tables were hustling but there was just too many people to be served. Over all a good time can be had hanging out here.

Been to many Irish pubs all around the world. This is the first time that I sat down and after 30 minutes still couldn t get a drink. Had menus and wanted to order food and dinner could not get any service. It was only about 7:30 on a Thursday night, so I can t understand how this could happen. Ended up walking down to Waxy s Irish pub. They have great bangers and mash and got served food (20 minutes) and drink (5 minutes).

Not a bad experience overall, and I liked the classic pub feel of the entire place. I wasnt there for the pianos or the live singing, but it was nice to stop by and rest for a minute after a long trek along the riverwalk. And the drinks were great, too! Its a walk-in type bar where I found a seat and was delightfully catered to. With it being a pub, I figured that Id stop for a drink. I really enjoyed the Lost Gold, it tasted great. But for the most part, the pub was a little barren. Thats 2pm drinks for you. Not a bad place to stop by, and it does its best to stand out from the other dozen bars in the area as well.

Small, authentic, unassuming Irish pub smack dab on the heart of the riverwalk. We were a group of Chicago South side Irish folks in for a wedding and needed a place to watch the Notre Dame FB game. I admit they need to add more tvs. However, the woman that jumped on the keys to play live music was so entertaining and engaging. She had so much energy and talent. By the time the game was over, she had the entire bar singing and dancing their hearts out. It was an amazing atmosphere. The reueben egg rolls with thousand island sauce were dynamite.

They seated my family with children under the age of seven, but when we were looking over the menu, they told us we had to leave. They told us to go as soon as we sat down, and I asked why. They said, no children under the age of 7, to which we replied that we had TWO CHILDREN with us, and they stated it was fine. The service was horrible; we were stuck there for 45 minutes as the waiters went by, staring at us. This is incredible; every location we went refused to seat us and would not let children under the age of seven.

I ve visited a few times over the years and I think like much of the rover walk it has begun to lose its draw to me. It has the look and feel at times of being the Irish pub, the musicians do great to involve the crowd, making the night enjoyable. Making your way to the bar to order is relatively easy even if it looks crowded. Prices are comparable to the area you re in so expect the $8 pints. Ordering food at the bar is easy but stay ontop of your own order as the bartenders can be overwhelmed and forget to give it to you once it comes out from the kitchen.

This place has a great Irish pub interior; it was a perfect place to relax. The food was phenomenal. I highly recommend the guinniess beef pie, reuben eggrolls, and fish n chips. The guy playing the piano was super talented and personable. We will definitely be back.

Service during the daytime was a little slower than usual, and it can get REALLY loud when they have live music, but the food was good, they have a few different types of Irish Coffees that you can order hot or frozen, and the pricing was fair.

Dirty Nellys Pub Everything was Great! However and Im wasnt toooo worried about myself because they were so packed the entire time. One couple/party left and the table was immediately filled again. The live Music was awesome Amazing environment for social people

We didnt order any food, we had just eaten lunch. We walked by to and were immediately drawn in by the piano playing singer. We had a few rounds of drinks. The server made sure we were taken care of. The singer interacted with us. It was my sons 25th birthday weekend. We had a blast the small amount of time we were there escaping the heat! Next time we go to San Antonio, we will make it a point to stop in again!
