I want to congratulate the chefs, the food is amazing, any dish is exquisite, my recommendation would be the king pow chicken combined with fried rice, spare ribs and of course the fabulous combination lomein but without a doubt the egg roll cheesesteak. Its the best Chinese food Ive ever tried. Thank you very much.

THE BEST CHINESE FOOD IN THE AREA! The guy at the front is my favorite. Hes super friendly. We come from the New York/New Jersey area and its always hard to find the GOOD Chinese food. Look no further! Our go to is the spicy shrimp and broccoli & always the veggie Lo Mein. Im a pescatarian and they have a ton of options for me. Thank you all for great food! Average Asian American restaurant. The flavor were decent. Some dishes were too salty and over sauced. We ordered it to-go so the service was just based on the cashier taking our order. The restaurant seems dated in its appearance. Clean. I wouldn t say, you have to go there. I wouldn t be back as I d look for a better tasting Chinese restaurant in the area.

Been going to this place for years nothing bad to say about their food but today I tried ordering delivery and turns out they don t accept cash. To many this might not mean a lot but there s people that can t always use their card (service industry employees) it seems a bit discriminatory and straight up rude that they refuse to do cash. Mr. Teriyaki on the other hand had no problem delivering with cash payment and had really fast service.

One of my dishes was too spicy. The manager was very very kind and they re-made my order perfectly. Everything tasted great. Veggies were very fresh! Big portions. Definitely recommend. Be prepared if you ask for spicy its SPICY!! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and vegetarian.

Love this place! Very cute and clean inside. So far everything Ive tried has been delicious. My favorites are Kung Pao, Sesame and Orange chicken; sauces are so flavorful. This past week I tried the Shrimp fried rice and OMG, it was some of the best Ive ever had. Also, great hot and sour soup. The gentleman at the front is always so kind and friendly to everyone too. Updated: Recently also tried chicken egg rolls and cheesesteak egg rolls; both were delicious! I never thought I would like a cheesesteak egg roll, but they were great I really love this place The food is cooked fresh and worth the wait on a busy night. Vegetarian options: Vegetable egg foo young is excellent! Ordered it tonight and Im adding it to my list of favorites. So fresh and delicious. Portions are very generous.

Not what it used to be. This was once my go to for shrimp fried rice it was literally the best but that was a very long time ago. I tried it again recently and it was straight garbage. I ate about half of my shrimp fried rice and started throwing up. The past two times ive went, the food has been awful and I wont be coming here ever again.

Placed my order around 3:50 so not lunch or dinner rush. It was ready within 15 mins. Got it home and opened it up just to see it was broccoli beef not broccoli chicken. I did try a piece of the beef just to see what it tastes like and maybe I would have kept the meal instead of returning but the beef was very very chewy and flavorless. I wasn t going to eat that so I called and they said they would remake it and could I come back to pick it up. I said unfortunately I couldn t go back and after asking if I would just keep the food and a few more time s if I would come get the food I said just refund my money then and then I was told they could bring the food. Took an extra 20 mins to revive after the call and they wanted the old food back. I would have thought they d just let me keep it for the inconvenience not that we would have eaten it but they said no they needed it back. Driver came and I gave it back to them minus a scoop of rice I had already out in the plate before I saw the entree. I would also say about the rice it was little mushy and stuck together. Probably won t be ordering from them again but my corrected chicken broccoli was ok. Kinda salty, lots and lots of oil. I ate it but as I said i will probably order from somewhere else next time.

I have gotten good from here 4 times in 3 weeks. First of all the food is on point. Ive had the General Tsos chicken twice, the human beef, and chicken lo mein. The same gentleman has taken my order and he is very kind and patient. I believe he is the brother of the owner. The food is quick and very well priced. I love being recognized and remembered even to the fact that they know I like my food extra spicy so I always get chili oil even if I forget to ask. One think I would say however is I wish the spring rolls were better. But this is my go to place in my neighborhood.

We called to ask for a refund so that we could just order elsewhere & the MANAGER told us he doesn t have time and to call back later???? Im in the area weekly for work. Today I decided I wanted chinese for lunch. I googled places near me and this place was close. I drove there, parked and walked in. I began looking at the menu. I really didnt see anything that l wanted. One item did stick out. It was a cheesesteak eggroll. Immediately I started to think of meat and cheese all gooey and fried in an egg roll. So I ordered two of them. It took about 10 minutes. The cashier gave me my order and I left. Im all excited while driving to taste the cheesesteak egg roll. I took one out of the bag, bit into it and immediately became upset. This was a regular eggroll. No cheese, no steak found anywhere. It was literally full of cabbage and carrots. There were tiny dots of some kind of meat sparingly with all the cabbage and carrots. Totally false advertisement. Very misleading. Its very evident by the attached pictures.

I had high hopes for this place when we came in the guy at the register was so polite and had great customer service however I m pregnant and both me and my boyfriend got food poisoning/ sick from the food. The worst Chinese food I have ever tried. One bite and I couldnt even finish chewing it. Ordered the General Taos chicken and it tasted like slime, the chicken tasted like it came from a can. Ordered Mongolian Beef and the beef was the same, tasted like it came out of a can. The sauce tasted horrible. Ordered sweet and sour chicken and that was at least ok but they gave the smallest dish of sauce to go with it. Ordered a couple of their appetisers and same quality ( BAD). We got sesame chicken, orange and kung pao chicken along with steamed and fried rice and veggie rolls with sweet and sour sauce. This was our first time and when we got there it was a Friday evening and there were 2-3 pole ahead of us. After ordering, they had our food ready within 15 mins. The person taking our order was super nice and friendly. Sesame Chicken: Delicious!!! The sauce was so good and it was FRESH! The broccoli and chicken were tender and chicken was crispy. Orange chicken: same as sesame chicken. DELICIOUS!! What I like most about this was I could taste the orange in it. Veggie rolls/sweet and sour sauce: they were great! Sweet and sour sauce was warm and just the right amount of sweet and sour. Veggie rolls were crispy golden. Steamed/fried rice: can t really mess these two up. Both tasted good and went well with the chicken. Kung pao chicken: this was good. I have had different Kung pao chickens from 2 other places and each time it s made differently. This one had more celery than I normally like but it was still good.

I love trying new Chinese places, as all of the old great establishments have moved on. But this establishment overall was horrid. We ordered General Tao, Pineapple chicken and orange chicken. Upon arriving home with our dinner, everything did have a rather pleasant smell, that was a plus, but thats where it ended. The chicken itself was not chicken, it had to have been some kind of tofu mixed with maybe a bit of chicken? For example the pineapple chicken, when placing it in your hands you could squish it down and mold it like play doe.. the taste was absolutely absurd. To make sure I was not just having a bad food day I called my family in the each get one piece of either pineapple chicken, some got orange, some got a piece of general Tao,-ALL had the exact same reaction without even hearing my opinion first. At that point I called the establishment to advise of my concern with the dinner, the young man that works there answered and advised he was not the manager and put a lady on the phone, I advised her of the situation and asked if I could return the meal as everything was still in tact minus a piece of chicken from each container, she said yes, come back, we will refund you or replace, which ever was best for us. Upon arriving with my husband, the young man, had a sudden change of heart and spoke horribly to us, I did video record the situation as it was getting escalated rather quickly, and he was then refusing to honor what the manager had previously advised. He advised they have an answering service and they do not take their own calls and the manager was lying as they do not honor refunds. I then, while he was getting hostile with my husband used my phone and called the phone number on the menu, the same number we called while home, and their phone rang, and he answered. He looked rather foolish when I put the phone to my ear and asked for the answering service... at that point he just kept demanding that we leave and that he was going to call the police on us, I advised him to please go ahead and call as it would be in everyones best interest since he was getting visibly upset and starting to hit the counter. That was the point he realized I was not leaving without my $65 refund and really got infuriated. To shorten this long episode, he did refund our money- with great hesitation and this without a doubt is NOT an establishment I would recommend, and definitely would not take my family to. So buyer beware, go else where.

I hate to have to give this slow rating and even leave this review. We just got three egg rolls and a combination fried rice. We are very disappointed in the portion size and the size that we actually got. We were ordering the large or largest size of the combination rice and what we got was a portion size that would normally fit the two people. And they charge $9.24 for what really equates to a medium right rice not a large family size fried rice the portion was disappointing very disappointing and the price was even more disappointing. I can go to cheese watch on Town East and Galloway and get the same thing and the portion sizes of their fried rice over there are a ton or you get a ton more and the size is bigger. And you paid less then $9.24 its just very disappointing the only thing that is saving this from a rating of one star below is the fact that he is very nice and hes very clean his restaurant is very clean hes very nice and it dont take them long to get your order out to you.

I went in with my daughter the other day the guy (possibly owner) was behind counter. I didn t receive an acknowledgement or anything he looked like he received call in orders on papers and looked stressed. I asked him questions about getting shrimp instead of chicken since I don t eat meat. He said it s not on menu. Asked that I can pay the difference for getting Orange Shrimp instead of Orange Chicken. He was not friendly at all. I was going to get something else - but decided to leave. I m always nice and never rude but rather spend my money else where. I won t be back nor will anyone I know not go there. I stay up street and could of been good for business since my business caters from different near by business. No thanks . We have to start spending our money we here we are appreciated not just tolerated

Love this place! I was a customer for a different restaurant that recently closed, and I find Riyen Chinese Restaurant and the food it s amazing!! Fresh well cooked, and great value for the money, the staff it s always clean and friendly, specially Joseph, he s always very friendly! Went to try this restaurant on my dads recommendation, and it really lived up to his glowing review. I had the pepper shrimp and it was the right amount of spiciness and flavor. If you enjoy spicy food, ask the front cashier named Joseph for his recommendations. They know how to do spice. The front helper Joseph was so kind and helpful! He provided recommendations for us and made sure that what we got was tasty!

I typically do not do reviews but recently ate here while in Mesquite and was really impressed by the food and service. The service was prompt, the food was hot and the veggies not over-cooked like in some of the larger chain Chinese food restaurants. Excellent Chinese Restaurant. The new owner is a great guy, warm and friendly, down to earth. The food is a little more than usual Chinese; there is a flare of authenticity to it. Great service! New owner/manager says he took over not too long ago, and I can feel the level of commitment through the great service and tasty food. It is my 2nd time visiting Riyen and this time I chose the Sweet & Sour Chicken, with a side of the Tempura Shrimp. Everything was fresh, my food was prepared in time and it was an overall great experience. Theres another local spot I frequent (Chis Wok) on Town East, but Riyen is my new favorite!

First time here at Riyen Chinese, it was great. I got the shrimp fried rice @$9.99 it was a good deal for the amount they served me. The place doesnt have much decoration but the facility and tables is super clean. I also loved todays order taker, he was very friendly and even asked if we were watching the super bowl as well as mentioned that he likes soccer. He didnt know us but was very nice and friendly to talk to. When we are in the area we are coming back.

The main guy gave me attitude the second I walked in i brushed it off maybe just having a bad day. My first time being here and hes mad because Im taking long on what I want to eat (no other customers in the restaurant so no need to rush me) I place my order the lady in the back brings my food and i thank her and ask for a hot sauce he puts the phone down and says next time ask for hot sauce when placing order you are making my job harder and by then I lost it on him he took the food away and put my money back on the counter and told me to leave. Ordered LARGE pepper steak and 16 oz coke for delivery at lunchtime. When the food arrived, 80% were green bell peppers and only 20% beef that is thinly slice. The size is not be even large enough for 2 people. The taste is bland and instead of coke, the lady gave me Dr. Peppers. Very disappointing! No delivery limit but they will charge you $5 for delivery excluding the tip. No more repeat orders!

The fries I ordered were small, but they tasted ordinary and I believe were just seasoned with salt. The House Special fried rice came with corn, it seemed like cabbage, and onions in the rice. I had asked for them to remove peas and carrots and they did remove what I asked. The problem was that I didnt know the fried rice came with corn and what I believe to be cabbage. They should have a description on Doordash of what the rice comes with. Overall the rice was almost tasteless.
