I have been trying to find a place that makes Shrimp Egg Foo Young gravy like Im used to from Colorado for the past 8 years since moving here. All other places its made with molasses. Not Chis Wok. FINALLY I found a gravy with the soy-based flavor I grew up on and I am so excited. It was sooooo good. Please dont ever change it!!!!! The cream puffs & egg roll were also super good. Will definitely be back & will pass the word on to family who have also been trying to find a restaurant that makes it right. :)

It s definitely a whole in the wall, but the food was like home. Chinese Wok s back in Florida was a favorite of mine. If I lived in the area I would be here often, but was in the area and stopped before heading home. Can t remember what I ordered, but everything was great.

Nice people, you dont last this long with bad business. I remember getting takeout with my family when I was 5, 18 years later they still have great food. Adding a window for a view of the kitchen would go a long way. I wish they delivered :-) 2024 update: Still great food and friendly service.

05/09/2024: Chi s Wok has been around for at least 30 years in the same location in Mesquite. There aren t many Asian food choices in the area and it s not too bad for Chinese/American food. The place is only to go or delivery. You can place an order online, phone, or in person. Service is fast. Food is consistently okay. Prices are reasonable. I enjoy the food for what it is. A lot of times when I crave authentic Chinese/Asian food and not have to drive 30+ minutes to Garland, Richardson, North Dallas, Chi s Wok will do.

Picked up 4 trays of food for a wedding this last Friday. It was pouring down rain and I had to park far from the restaurant, the staff did not hesitate to offer assistance in helping me bring the food to the car in the pouring down rain. We were all completely soaked afterwards. I really appreciated the service.

I called this place and placed an order for pickup. The lady on the phone was amazing and gave quality customer service which I think is hard to find nowadays. She was clear and concise which made ordering very easy. The food was hot, the quality of the food was good, and the flavors were interesting, but in a good way. I ordered a regular Hawaiian Combination Fried Rice and a spicy Combination Fried Rice. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for good customer service and some good Chinese food!

Ive been looking for good Chinese after moving here from Houston. The food overall tasted wonderful. The fried rice is a little bland but the sesame chicken and Kung pao chicken is good. My absolute favorite was the combination lo mein. I will be back.

I always get my Chinese food from Chis Wok. Ive been eating here since early 90s. Their shrimp egg rolls are so good. I ate their shrimp fried rice Spicy along with their beef lo mein Spicy and it was all so delicious. The attendant was very nice. The only thing I dont like is there is no place to sit down and eat, Other than that Its My number 1 Chinese take out. I live 30 minutes away and always make that drive because it is worth it.

I m a delivery food driver and I drove to this store for 10 minutes and then they took like another 15 or 20 mins to complete a simple order when I got there! I had to tell my customer I was sitting here twiddling my thumbs waiting for them to make fried rice and a few egg rolls . Not a good look guys . Plz do better

We ordered the moo shu beef. According to the DoorDash menu it was a large so I figured we could split it between two people. There was definitely plenty of cabbage but hardly any beef. Otherwise the flavor was really good. But for $15 I expected more meat.

I tried the Mongolian Shrimp and the shrimp were so little I knew for sure they got it out of the freezer section at Walmart. No doubt about it. I took a couple of bites and it just had a weird aftertaste like it had just been sitting. I ate enough to get full with plenty left. I woke up the next day with stomach pains out of this world. I ended up throwing up . Thats how bad the food was. I had the type of stomachache thatll make you never wanna eat Chinese again. I know there are better and more quality places out there but I was just tryna be cheap. All and all I will never eat from this place again. And if youre reading this, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

This is a takeout only spot, got it via UberEATS today and Im really happy with my order! My only complaint would be that the fried rice needed maybe a bit more flavor as is, but when you add soy sauce.. its really yummy! The chicken egg roll was ASTOUNDING I dont think Ive ever had a better egg roll tbh, it was warm when it got here and stayed warm till I got around to eating it. If you like tiny egg rolls it might not be for you because this one is FAT and full of delicious flavor! I got the big meal with orange chicken and garlic shrimp. There actually wasnt a lot of shrimp, but I got enough food that it didnt matter and I enjoyed the veggies! I was able to split one meal between 3 people :) & Im happy with that, it wasnt crazy expensive for the quality. If youre looking for quick, easy, filling, and tasty.. Id recommend this spot! Is it some kind of upper class 5 star restaurant? No. It is worth a shot if youre broke and hungry.

I ordered the crab ragoon, but when I got home and tried one, it was just cream cheese in a bread roll.. I called and they say they dont put CRAB in the CRAB ragoon because some people are allergic to crab. Why on earth would someone order a dish that has a meat they are allergic to in it??? As if my intelligence wasnt already insulted enough. Its false advertisement and they charge way more for it than my regular Chinese place (that was closed for the holiday) which has REAL crab meat in it. They offered no refund or anything. Crooks..

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I really wanted some Chinese food because I haven t had it in awhile. I m a truck driver so finding anything that tastes good doesn t happen everyday but you guys were kind enough to make me tasteless food that wasn t even good. Having the Shrimp Fried Rice, Combination Lo Mein, Hot and Sour Soup & Veggie Egg Rolls, I can thoroughly say each item was over cooked/greasy. The combination lo mein was absolutely appalling, the chicken was good, the beef...lets just say, Ive never had beef flavored chalk before, until now. The noodles overall were WAY overcooked, and terrifyingly greasy. The Fried Rice on the other hand was decent. Way too much onion in it and the eggs need to be better prepared, it was basically minced. The rice was also horrifically mushy. If it was firm Id say it was a good bite, but lacks flavor. You actually have to add soy sauce yourself. The egg rolls were also old and drenched with oil. Maybe on a good day its better, but considering its a Friday, Im not so sure. Ill have to try it again.

Read the reviews and still decided to give it a try. The customer service was a 7/10 . But the food was honestly terrible as you can see I barely have any egg or onion in the dish and the rice taste VERY old I ve ate at a lot of places this is definitely at the bottom of my list. I didn t even finish it because it tasted so off and I hate wasting food. I won t come here and again and don t recommend it!

I ordered pork, and extra egg, all I got was 99%noodles!!! Three containers, one with rice and some small/very small pieces of ham? I ordered pork and the pictures are very deceiving. That is not what I got. For $32 and change. Noodles, noodles and one tray of rice. All rice, the order that would suppose to have vegetables, and or broccoli three small slices of broccoli. All noodles. I now remember why I did not buy again, for almost two years. The food is not the one in the pictures. They just sell noddles and rice. For $30/40 dollars!! Outrageous! Never again.

1st time ordering from here. There is 1 spot I like in Oak Cliff so its hard to find others who taste good. We got teriyaki sticks, beef broccoli and orange chicken plus some spring rolls. Really impressed and I am very picky. I dont leave good reviews unless it is good. I think their food is better than China Imperial here in Mesquite. I will definitely order from here more often when wanting Chinese food!

Love their food. I always get their combo lo mein. I miss living in Mesquite and being able to order them when i can. It may be a little pricey, but with the taste and huge portions, it makes up for it. Maybe they use less MSG or something, but they are the only Chinese food that doesnt aggravate my wifes migraines.

Just wanna warn every one my girlfriend an I order from here first there cost on food is over price..charge me 34 dollars for two plates an an one appetizer I get alot more for 34 bucks with great food quality..they gave us re-fried chicken an the lady from the restaurant had the nervous to tell us its fresh it was never fresh or juicy as she described to us the chicken had dark parts an light breaded parts my girlfriend got food poisoning from there chicken. She only ate one pieces of the chicken an we gave the food away to other an not knowing it was that bad few hours later my girlfriend had pain an sweat an vomiting all over like that not safe at all Im upset big time Im calling the health department on them. Little disappointed honestly. Was still real good food but it seems like the quality of some of there items have slipped recently the egg rolls in particular have drastically gone down hill I used to love there rolls and now there undesirable. And the portions have definitely seemed to have gone down as well. But all in all still great food just need to tighten up a few looses items and itll be back to 100%

The staff was friendly and cream cheese puffs were good, but everything else was below average and bland. The lo mein tasted like plain noodles, the Kung pao and sesame chicken didnt satisfy my taste buds either. The only reason for the three stars are because of the things stated in the first sentence. Delicious fresh vegetables/meats, soups and rice dishes. Lots of entrees to choose from! Made to order, right on the spot. Fantastic chef cooked my meal to perfection! Can modify according to spiciness. This is a well-established restaurant that has been in business at this exact location for many years. The food and service is always great quality! The only thing is, today I was charged for the dinner portion (instead of lunch - it was before 4pm) and also because of that, did not receive a spring roll with my entree. Oh well, the cashier waitress was so caring, made up for that by kindness! Was shakey because hadnt eaten all day, except a cracker earlier. She (Sandra) voluntarily brought me some shrimp veggie rice and a glass of nice, cold ice water while waiting for my order. I was having such tremor shakes in my right hand, I was so hungry! My blood sugar must have been adjusting, but began feeling a bit better upon eating. I appreciated the exceptional kindness and prayers here. Thank you so much! Food is DELICIOUS! My kids are snobs when it comes to chicken fried rice and they LOVED IT!! My 6 year old is also very picky with Sesame chicken and he said it was the best ever. The ladies in the front were also very nice and welcoming . Definitely my new favorite Chinese spot!!

I ordered my food at 4:25. The lady said my order would be here at 5. At 5:46 I decided to call back to see what was going on and the lady put me off and on hold to help other people for a couple of mins. Then when she got back on the line all she said was that they were busy and the food was put for delivery 15 mins ago and start up hung up on me. I then received a call from the driver at 6:01 saying she couldn t find my apartment, that is literally 4 mins away from their restaurant. I refused to pay for food that I ordered almost 2 hours ago and told her to not even bother bringing it now. Waste of my time and I m so glad I didn t pay over the phone. Worst customer service and delivery I ve ever had. Do not waste your time with this place!!!

Wonderful little restaurant! Ive been coming here off and on for 10 years, and never had a problem with my order or the quality of my food. Food is ready promptly, and always hot! One of my favorite take-out places.

When ever I am in the area or even faintly nearby this is the Chinese place I go to. Do not let the serving container fool you. I have eaten Chinese all around the world and this is by far one of the best. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking. On a side note you have to walk through the kitchen to use their restroom and every time I have the kitchen is always clean.

My family loves Chi Wok. The food is fantastic and the people are so friendly. We try to find something weve never tried each visit. Turns out I like Mi Fun. Who knew? We like to just order a bunch of different things and have our own buffet at home.

I was a dedicated customer of this restaurant for about 4 years UNTIL one day it became America vs Chis Wok. I would always tip $5+ even when I picked up my order. They were friendly and would chat with me quite often. One night I got off late from work, placed my order from the road and when I got home, I expected my food to be delivered within 10-15 minutes. I eagerly opened my container and was not pleased. I understand it may have been about 3 hours from closing but the rice was clumped up and everything was lukewarm. I called and told them this is not your typical service, can I get a refund or a new order?. She asked whats wrong with your order? Mind you, this is the lady I had almost always dealt with and called me honey when I walked in. I said I know you guys can do better. My rice is clumpy and its cold. I even tipped the driver. I tip all the time. She loudly said You Americans are so picky! You complain -- I immediately cut her off and said 1st even if I was in China, I would demand better quality. I KNOW YOU know that better than I do. 2nd Im always bringing you business and have never had an issue. 3rd since youre in America and have issues maybe you have a problem. I welcome any and everyone of all backgrounds BUT you cannot relocate to a place and talk about the very people who provide you income. THIS has nothing to do with your ideas of complaining Americans. Your appropriate response shouldve been to try and correct an unhappy customer. Anyhow - she didnt say anything after that and I asked for a return. I didnt even trust a new order after that discussion. It was refunded to my account in 5 days.

Not great. Order was wrong. Delivered to a hotel but they didnt bother putting forks ..or any utensils in the bag. What they did bring had little flavor. Just not good.

Nice little spot. Very friendly and good size portions. They also have sweet cream cheese wontons, my favorite. Very hard to find this delicious treat. Also, their iced tea is served in quart food containers. Very good tea!!

I ordered the combination fried rice, 7 pc fried chicken wings and chicken egg rolls. The lady who took my order and handed me my food when I arrived wasn t friendly at all. The food was at least hot, but extremely bland. The biggest disappointment was the combination fried rice. It was a plate of rice w/ hardly any meat and only included 4 pieces of shrimp, yes I counted. This was my 1st and last time eating here
