The fried chicken is the best I ve had since moving to Dallas in 2020. This will be my go to spot. I had wings with fried and a side of fried okra. Everything tasted great. It smelled so good I took a bite before I can get a picture of the plate. I ll get pic next trip.

The wings are to die for and the gizzards are the best YET in the metroplex! I just heard about this place Saturday tried it out and me and ny hubby woke up Sunday morning wanting more! We were checking to see what time they open but dad to say they are closed on Sunday! Make sure you order a large freckle juice! It is really not a dine in place but 3 or 4 tables if you choose to eat there! All food is fresh! Oh yea! Fries and pickles good too! :) always order the fried corm! Yummmm!

Finally made it came like a hour after opening yesterday and all they had was wings the food was hot and fresh but lack seasoning all you taste is oil, fries was undercooked and tasted oil couldnt get past the first bite most ended up in the trash I guess if you not mr.chimetime your business not welcomed

Aye, they got something good going on here. Food was hot and fresh and made to order. The wings were nice and juicy inside and full of flavor. Turn around and they sprinkled a Lil of that magic dust on top. I couldnt be a happier customer. Fried corn was hitting and my daughter loved the okra. When I came in I was instantly greeted by the owner and was told that hes sorry but there may be a wait, I said no problem. I AM GLAD I WAITED! This is the best fried chicken Ive had in my life, it says better than mamas and its TRUE! I implore any customers coming in to be patient, as this is a small business that has had an influx of customers since they went viral on Tik-Tok. The food is wonderful. Id never tasted fried corn on the cob before, but I will be getting it every time I come back, which I promise will be often. I was referred br Mr Rashad to check this place out. I live in Mansfield area but when I have an early day we often frequent several restaurants. Great table talk when I cater for my clinics. Drs, patients and out of town guests always want a good place to eat. Well I was highly disappointed. Checked hours and 8pm closing time gave me plenty of time leaving my location @ 520 like I did. Its a gas station there is a Boba tea stand next to freckles glass window..I noticed a brown board up over glass, but there was the little speaker box..so as we proceed to walk up man said, now were closed Im like buis hours say 8pm dayung we drove over an hour. Guy outside said he does that alot, so call before you go out there. I will never know the best or worst of the taste, but I wont make a special trip to experience it. Make sure you call before you go and FYI I was advised to request fries be cooked a lil longer.

This is by far the best fried chicken in all of Texas! I give Freckles Chicken a straight 10 out of 10. Every time I ve had their fried chicken, it s been amazing. The French fries were a solid five-star experience, and the fried okra was delicious. The fried corn on the cob was also fantastic. I wish this company and its owner much success. I absolutely love their fried chicken and only wish they were closer to Lancaster, Texas. However, I ll definitely be making the trip back soon. I wish I could give them even more than five stars! The customer service was exceptional. I noticed how the staff went above and beyond to help customers, even those who arrived just before or even after closing time. Ordered fried chicken, fries, and deep-fried corn. The chicken was very good, nice and crispy. The fries were cooked well with a good tasting seasoning. The fried corn was not great. It was too mushy and didnt care for the breading on it. Customer service could be better. They had the music so loud we had to repeat our order several times. Its also very hot and I was very uncomfortable waiting for my food. Plus, the tables were kinda dirty, too. The food is made to order, so theres a bit of a wait. Just fyi, there are 2 food establishments in this gas station, and they share the tables.

I don t normally do reviews but do to the inconvenience i just have to. So online it states they open at 11am so i drive about 20 minutes and got there at about 11:22 and they weren t open yet. I asked the young lady at the boba stand and she stated that you all were opening a little later. I leave take care of business and instead of coming back i called TWICE which was a little after 12. Im super disappointed and i plan my off days from beginning to end and this inconvenience messed me up. I m thinking about giving it another shot but who knows. The ladies have a smile .As for food, it s a bit overpriced, a 4 piece, small okra and large kool aid $22 .. if I got the quality then $22 wouldn t be bad but considering what s served, I don t feel it s worth it.the Grease needed to be changed real bad!! , honestly it s like another Henderson chicken but with a different name. The fried okra was really good but all of the food is mounted by seasoning. The seasoning isn t super salty which is great but it gives smoky paprika and I personally would enjoy the experience of well seasoned batter and chicken without a bunch of garnishing. The kool aid was my favorite part, it was bomb!!!!!! Haven t had kool aid like that in forever!!!

So originally i tried a piece from a family member and just had to have my own. So I arrived at the location after 8, a gentleman that worked there politely informed me they closed at 8 , but they would be happy to still serve me. I felt bad and passed but he insisted and said we will gladly take care of you! That alone customer service won me! He didnt have to! The chicken is sooo flavorful and amazing ! So I was googling for some chicken strips yesterday, because I was tired of canes. And this was the 3rd place popped up on google. So I gps and it said it was in a gas station, so then I got skeptical. So I went anyways. Got there lady that took my order gave me that momma vibe, she was very nice. Wow, our first visit to this place was truly one-of-a-kind! We didnt check the business hours and showed up at 8 pm, only to find out they were closed. The owner was having some issues with his fridge going out during the weekend. I was the first one in when he was opening so he had to try to work through some technical issues getting opened. He ran the whole show by himself and still had a second to come outside and tell me he had everything set up. I told him when I left that I was mad I hadnt already stopped by and I mean that yall. Great customer service, reasonable wait time and great chicken. The gas station is a little run down, but certainly didnt seem dangerous. My picky kids were impressed. We live in Fate, this is by far the best chicken within a decent driving distance. Will be back for more of those wings!

Stopped by for lunch with my mom and was not disappointed. The chicken breast were seasoned so nicely. Some places have a tendency to serve dry breasts, these were cooked perfectly. I liked that the size of the breast were not chicken on steroids big lol. We also ordered small fries and small okra, the portions are huge. You can share a side with 2/3 people. That okra is bomb. To drink we got Freckle juice, which is red koolaid, taste just like childhood! The pricing is very affordable! We will be back. Be aware this location is inside the Exon gas station, not a stand alone building.

I enjoyed my 1st order from this establishment. Liz was an awesome front of the house employee. She definitely has the right personality. The food was delish. Im not a big French fry person..but the fried corn hit the spot. Now this Freckle juice is super duper sweet AND ANNOITED. I mixed it with the sweet tea. Its nice having a chicken spot close to my neck of the woods. I wish you much success

I didn t know about this place until my granddaughter took me there, OMG, I can even explain the freshness and how good this Chicken is, but the fried corn is the bomb. The fact that they only cook it when your order let me know it going to be fresh and HOT. Oh yea the Freckle Juice, it s very very good, and very sweet. Ive been there a couple of times, and both times Ive gone, the food was excellent. I tried the chicken sandwhich and the chicken tenders. The chicken was hot and crispy yet still juicy flavorful. The fries were hot and well seasoned. Ill definitely come back in the future.

Really nice staff helped with my order. The fries were a little under cooked, but really close to that good zone youd want. The seasoning was light and did well be them. The chicken was well cooked and seasoned well and the batter wasnt too much. The fried corn was, only in my opinion, not great. It achieved what they set out for, but I did not enjoy the amount of batter. The location was set inside a run down gas station but was serviceable.

The chicken is always on point however the last few time i came my fries were super soggy and I always pick up my order on time so maybe they should hold on dripping fries until the customer get there . That s the only complaint I have though . Keep up the great work .

First let me say I decided about 7:45 last night I wanted chicken. My son said do you think they may have stop taking orders since it s about time for them to close and most places shut their kitchen down early. I said just go ahead and go. And the story goes like this. The chicken was cooked fresh and was still hot when he made it home. So, Yes he ordered! It was seasoned to perfection. Normally I never eat fries from anywhere unless I eat them right then for fear of being cold by the time I get home. The fries were even still hot and fresh by the time he made it home. Don t let me leave off I had to have the Freckles juice. This place doesn t disappoint!!! Sorry we ate our food and didn t get to take pics.

My husband and I had two 4 piece dark meals with a side of Freckles Corn and two Freckle Juices. I havent had Koolaid in years and theres did not disappoint. The corn was good especially with the special sauce. The chicken was DELIGHTFUL with a juicy crunch. The fries were mid, but everything else makes up for that. Elizabeth is super friendly and knowledgeable. Well definitely be back... sooner rather than later!

I was referred to try this spot and absolutely love the chicken I have tried. I ordered 4-piece wings, gizzards/livers, okra with extra pickles & pepper on side. Please check pickle count before leaving so you are not disappointed later. I taste before leaving and ended up order a 10- piece to take back to coworkers. The pepper is no doubt a must have. It is a season/smothered pepper of some type to me lol. The food is fresh to order (I LOVE THIS) so HOT & FRESH just how I like it. The chicken is seasoned and topped with seasoning mmmhm. Finally I had the Koolaid/Sweet Tea mixed (also must have). Definitely recommend.

I waited at the window for 10 mins to order and the guy never came from the back to take the order. I then asked is the chicken already cooked so I can know if I should continue to wait and he refused to answer. Very unprofessional and a waste of time. Update: So I received a call from a friend regarding a google review I left yesterday and a screenshot of what the owner of the company had to say on his fb page. To start,sir I DO NOT know you. I have never met you and to my knowledge we did not go to school together. So either you are a liar or you have me confused with someone else. Please don t make this about black people bringing other black people down. I didn t even know this place was a black owned business. I simply googled chicken near me and ended up at your location. What I do know is, I sat at the window for a long period of time, which was actually longer than 10 minutes. When I arrived I waited a few mins and there was a nice man that finally said we will be with you in a moment and then after that another 10 minutes passed. At this point I simply asked, was the chicken already cooked so I would know if I should just come back later being that I knew I had somewhere to be at a specific time. The nice guy said let me ask for you and that s when he mentioned it to you and you said I ll be with you in a minute. I then politely said oh I just need to know if it s already cooked so I will know if I will be able to wait and you just repeated I said I ll be there in a minute. It was a simple question that a guest behind me decided to answer for you. He advised y all cook it when you order it and he didn t understand why you wouldn t just let us know that. So at that point, I did leave because you were rude and unprofessional. If you would have answered the question I would have came back a little later. I understand it s not a fast food restaurant and have no problem waiting for my food to be cooked. The problem was I sat at a window waiting for someone to walk up and take my order and it never happened. Now, what you need to understand is how to run a professional business. Training someone or not, when a customer walks in , you should acknowledge them and take their order within a reasonable amount of time. You should have walked your trainee up to the window with you and took my order or answered my simple question. Instead you are teaching your trainee to go to the window when they feel like it. Which will cause more bad reviews in the future. I leave honest reviews and you don t get a pass because you re black or a new business. I came to spend my money and expect the workers/owners to be friendly and somewhat professional. And honestly if I had time I would have asked to speak with your manager because at that time I didn t know you were the owner, but I didn t have time , so I left a review so just maybe the owner would speak with his employee to let him know the correct way things should go. So to find out you are the man in charge is disheartening. You going to Facebook lying and trying to be funny shows just how immature and unprofessional you are. Grow up and take accountability.
