Its pretty good food. I would probably order take out though because they arent very friendly and charged for every little thing including a tiny cup of pico thats usually free at every other establishment... so.. its decent but Id prefer to be somewhere where the staff is nicer especially when its slow and they arent even over run.. lol..

Zero stars! Stood there for over 10 mins no one behind me to order and was ignored. Employee walked over and answered the phone in front of me and placed their order on the computer while I was still standing there. Not cool. Happy that I walked out and went down the street and got amazing tacos someplace else and free salsa bar. You did me a favor! I found my new taco spot and it s NOT Taqueria Monterrey!

Loved ambiance. Employees receive in such a loving way. Food is good. Tried some Gorditas and tacos. I am like a beginner for the Mexican food. They will explain you every dish in the menu. Just go and try guyzz. Per person around $10minimum. Worth it. Parking: Don t worry about parking. Cool. Free parking.

We came here to have dinner first of all it has nothing authentic about it. 2nd food was horrible my husband ordered shrimp cocktail and it still had ice I guess it frozen idk had a pieces of ice our food was flavorless nothing no taste felt like we were chewing on plastic I didn t wanna tell my husband or kids just because I didn t want ruin there food but when they said it themselves I felt a huge relief because I knew it wasn t just me .. we love Mexican food and decided to come by because of the star ratings, but definitely not coming back. I forgot to take pictures, food just looked so old I m not sure how it has 5 stars it has to be a lie

I came in there and asked for a bean burrito. Which is the same price as their fajita steak burrito the number five. On my bean burrito I didn t know they were going to put lettuce sour cream, rice, tomatoes, and a sprinkle of beans. I took one bite and asked the lady if I could only have a beans and cheese only. cheese is a dollar extra, I said if you re gonna charge me for the steak burrito I might as well get a steak and bean burrito only. She turned around and started speaking to the Cook in Spanish and you can tell they were getting mad. They reuse the same tortilla with the sour cream on it, and all the lettuce. Way to save 30 cent.

UPDATE: I had to revise my rating. When I went another time, the food wasnt all that hot and the entire restaurant was dirty. Every table and the floors had various bits of food on them and there were dried mud clumps on the floor that should have been swept up immediately but they sat there through my entire meal. I watched a passive aggressive old man worker clock out, not help the female worker at the counter when he was still clocked in. He also didnt sweep the obviously dirty floors before leaving. Just shameful! What else am I supposed to do? Oh, and I took care of them but they didnt take care of me. If tipping doesnt get hot food to my table, I just wont go. I havent been back since. An excellent sunday evening meal: taco plate, asada, barbacoa, onions, cilantro, beans, rice, and salsa verde. Lime, roasted onions, roated jalapeno, half a roasted mini potatoe on the side. Hot and flavorful. One of the best salsa verdes. Pineapple drink to balance the spicy roasted jalapeno. Be sure to appreciate the staff and theyll take care of you!

Food was alright, i was expecting so much more.. i got the enchiladas it had like no meat and so many potatoes i ve never heard of beef enchiladas having potatoes in them before they also rolled the enchiladas like 3 times with 3 corn tortillas to make them look bigger but honestly it wasn t worth it, the girl at the register said they are good, sadly she lied to me. i was still hungry after just eating the meat also the potatoes where the size of a penny.. so unnecessary in enchiladas very very disappointing.

Extremely overpriced. They tried to charge me $30 for eight breakfast tacos. Theres another place that only charges $2 per breakfast taco and their way better Just a little further away so I will gladly spend more money in gas to get a better price for a better quality of food

I just finished the best plate of Mexican food in my native Texan life, and Im almost 70. They make. Their own. Tortillas. Just call it taqueria y tortilleria The white corn tortillas were like something your grandmother would make for you. Honestly, if God himself made tortillas you would not be able to tell the difference.

A good find in Denton where you can get authentic Mexican food. And take care of your Mexican food cravings. From tacos to platters;we tried the taco plate and the torta plate they were both really good and very filling; however I would definitely recommend a bit more flavor in your meats;and I would definitely try it again in the future and hope a better experience. Parking: The parking was a bit confusing because it was late at night and we missed the nearest parking to the actual restaurant. Kid-friendliness: Seemed like a great place to take kids with the family as we witnessed several families in there.

It was alright. I ve had better! I came here and got 2 Barbacoa & 2 chicken street tacos with rice and beans and let me tell you the chicken tacos were SO DRY! The barbacoa was alright, the beans rice were decent but definitely on the bland side. I don t think I ll come here again. The other location in Denton is much better!

Ordered the three tacos with rice and beans and 2 breakfast tacos. My first time to this one in awhile since I was picking up packages. And of course I was missing an item. I tried calling them before going and no one answered. Voicemail was full. Went back and told them the error. The guy was going to help me but he just answered the phone. Then the girl that was working there asked me what I needed. I told her I was just there and my order. I thought for sure it was the same girl that handed me my food. Asked me if I had my receipt, my fault I left it in my car seat. Started to go out and they were able to find my order from the cash register. They apologized but Ill probably stick with the other one. Its inconvenient having to go to that location because of the traffic and almost got hit by a car for a taco.

Good Tacos al Pastor and good service from the cashier but from the cashier EVERYTHING IS THE OPPOSITE . Because when I asked him if they could wrap my take-out order, he only said flatly, No, your order is already ready. Fortunately the cashier did help us pack our order and I thank her for it.

This used to be one of my favorite places until today. I ordered the lengua torta and after taking a bite, I noticed that there is ham in it. As a Muslim, I cannot eat pork. I asked the cashier if it was indeed ham and she confirmed. I asked her do all tortas come with ham, she said yes but when I ordered, I wasn t told that.
