Great stop while in town! Live music (that was excellent). The Texas wines are great, the Shady Ladys Chenin Blanc was especially refreshing on a hot, muggy day. Service was top notch (thank you, Mary Beth), and atmosphere was delightful. Make this a stop!

Cannot say enough great things about this winery. Love the wines, delicious bites and great live entertainment. But what sets them apart from the rest is the family atmosphere. You will make some great friends here. It is truly like walking into the Cheers bar - where everyone knows your name. :)

*Update from 5 stars to 3* The most recent pairing I went to with my husband was a far different experience than last time. I booked a chocolate and wine tasting for Valentine s Day. The table was set up beautifully as usual and this time we were greeted with a glass of bubbly which was very nice. However sitting through 10-15 minutes of promotional information about the winery I ve already booked an event with and am currently sitting in on left me with a very odd mixed feeling of annoyance, boredom and impatience. It felt like being sold on a time share while renting the actual time share. Drone videos of the ranch? Not even the winery itself or where the wine is manufactured but just the exterior ranch buildings & some deer running If I wanted to sit through an advertising video of the winery, I could have simply visited the Instagram. It was all just a bit much and very uncomfortable way to start what was supposed to be a romantic evening. Now to the tasting itself, the wine selection was nice enough but the pairings? It was juvenile at best. Every single chocolate was a lindor truffle and the majority of the ones chosen were white chocolate which if you don t know, is extremely sweet and far too sugary. In some instances the chocolate over powered the wine itself or did not really balance well at all. They even mentioned in the class as a little joke that they just googled what chocolate went well with what kind of wine seriously? Not even going to play it off that the tasting was curated specifically off of knowledge & experience? What I loved about the cheese and wine class was the unique cheeses they picked and the little bits of interesting information that were given throughout. This chocolate class could have had far more variety - chili infused chocolate, dark chocolate, fruit filled truffles, French truffles, commercial candy bar chocolates, or even a mousse? The chocolate world is as vast as the wine world and it was a total miss on their part. The host was reading directly from the slide show & even had us clap like a class of 4th graders when she wanted to address the group. If it were not for the wonderfully friendly and fun couple we were seated with, the evening would ve been a complete bust. I booked a cheese & wine tasting for a date night with my husband & we absolutely had the best time! This is a family owned winery & the hospitality shown during our event was top notch. Our host Bianca did such a fabulous job setting up a beautiful table for the tasting - I tried to take as many photos as I could before wanting to dig into the feast. All together there were 5 pairings with generous pours and unique cheeses. She did an incredible job educating about the pairings without making the evening seem like a lecture but we still walked away feeling like we ve learned something new. It s a delicate balance and she guided the group with such passion and care. I ve been to quite a few tasting events & this one definitely is right to the top of my favorites. The atmosphere of the room was perfectly cozy - I didn t feel like it was a stuff as many people in as you fit kind of place - gave more of the visiting friend s you ve known forever kind of vibe. The event flowed well, wasn t rushed at all, the host was open to all questions and opinions on the pairings. Definitely highly recommend for all date nights, friendly outings, girls night, and all things in between!

This tasting room is super cozy, and the staff treat you like family! We tried all different types of wine; rosé, sauvignon blanc, merlot, symphony, red blend, and my favorite the Reminisence (sparkling blanc de noirs)! The food was phenomenal, too.

Always a great time to mix and mingle in the community and others that come to visit. Love hearing all the laughter and genuine good time. Great way to determine what you like in wines and from who and feeling tye holiday spirit. As a matter of fact finiahed most of my chrostmas shopping from the locals. BOOM! Downtown Mckinney gets better every year. All sponsored are quality wines. I had 2 issues this year. First, there were more wine stops (24) than check boxes on the map (16) you are given. The only place that gave me a bit of a stink eye was Landons. Maybe I missed the Rule that you can only visit 16 or 24 stops. We simply did a counter clockwise rotation on stops around the square. This leads me to my 2nd issue.... Parking sucks, so get there before noon on this event. Well done McKinney. Merry Christmas.

I came here Wednesday evening with a couple of friends and had such a great time! I don t recall the lady s name who initially waited on our table, but her & Elizabeth were so much fun and personable. They were very helpful with recommendations and just great service overall. The establishment has a very nice & quaint ambience. The other patrons were pleasant and it just made for a great experience. I opted for the Trust Us Wine Tasting Flights & received a customized selection of wines. I think this is great because you can really hone in on what you like or don t like in a wine. The recommendations were good. I also paired it with a slice of cheesecake drizzled I m caramel. It was absolutely delicious ! I learned from staff & patrons :) about the entertainment that comes here. I m really excited my friend recommended this. I definitely recommend & would return for the experience.

Went here for brunch. Arrived right when they were opening at noon on a Sunday. We received excellent service and they went the extra mile. I brought a cake and they sliced it for us and provided a lighter. We shared a bunch of appetizers and everything was delicious

What an awesome place. A gem in McKinney! Great staff, super knowledgeable, welcoming, friendly and respectful. Adorable place inside and outside on their patio. Wonderful! Reasonable wine prices and the food looked delicious, even though we didn t have any, but definitely next time. This will be one of our new places to frequent during the week and weekends. Also, they were playing 80 s music followed by live music! Great night!

This has been one of the best places I ve ever experienced in my life. The atmosphere and the friendships that you make here remind you of the TV program, Cheers. As for the wine, many are connoisseurs, but I just say this really tastes good or it doesn t. The wine I drink tastes good and the best part is the atmosphere and the friendships that you make. Disappointed that they mostly represent wines drom California. Not so much the lonestar state. stars because the venue was very inviting. Easy cosy environment with great views. The wine was not the worst though would have wanted more body to it. The biggest boldest cavernet Sauv they had fell short and so did the service. The flight of wine was brought to us with no explanation of the wine like a proper tasting should be. Next we saw the waiter was for the check. If you like hanging solo uninterrupted with sweeter light bodied wines then this is the place for you.

It was our first visit here and the greeting at the door was great. Ryder our server recommended a great red wine that it was glass after glass after that. I have never visited downtown McKinney before visiting Lone Star Wine. The place is cozy and a part of a collection of different shops. They have a pretty good selection of wines that includes Texas wines as well as California wines. Our server was awesome. We ordered the garlic parmesan and Aunt Karens Bordelaise Wings. Both were delicious. We also got the margarita flatbread and I thought that was good as well. Definitely a good place to visit if you are in the mood for wine.

This evening I had the wonderful opportunity to try a couple of the new menu items. I am a consummate wing lover and Lone Star s new family recipe wings are absolutely delicious! Just the right amount of crispness and flavor! I also tried the new pork sliders. Just wow! They come with a beautiful and delicious olive on top and filled with mouthwatering pulled pork and just the right amount of cole slaw. Wu wu wuht?! Mmm mmm. Must try the new menu!! Of course the line up of wines are incredible as well, which pair very nicely with the food menu.

Friendly staff with thorough explanation of menu and flights offered. The flights come with individual menus and labels on each wine being tasted including prices of each wine by the glass and bottle. Very user friendly strategy and I think it is easy to navigate even for casual wine fans. Some of the wines are a little expensive but if you become a member it offsets that a bit.

My wife and I came here for the first time. We started off with a flight of reds that were all Lonestar wines. Every one that we tried tasted good. My wife is big fan of prisoner wine and was surprised to see that mark up was minimal. The lady working there, Mo, was super nice and even introduced us to some of the regulars. We enjoyed it so much we decide to become wine club members.

This is my favorite place in downtown McKinney! Its small and cozy but its one of the friendliest atmospheres Ive ever been in. The staff are incredibly warm and hospitable, and very knowledgeable on the wines they carry. Im also a member of their wine club which is another great feature. There are member benefits beyond the subscription which make it well worth it. They encourage you to taste the wines before you take them home and if you dont love one they are more than happy to exchange it out for another bottle of similar value. The live music adds to the atmosphere and the other patrons are just as friendly and inviting as the staff. Also, do yourself a favor and try the sangria!
