Service and atmosphere are good, but food is low quality yet expensive, which is always so disappointing. They have live music, which I love, but its a very small space. If you dont get there at just the right time, you end up sitting in the back where you cant see the stage/dont hear the music very well, which isnt necessarily the restaurants fault, just an observation. They have a mixture of couches and tables, plus a bar, but the whole setup is slightly weird. If you have a party larger than 3, youre kind of SOL when it comes to seating (unless youre able to snag one of the couches). All in all, its cozy and uncomfortable, slightly over priced for what you get, and sways between hit and miss. If youre in McKinney and are just looking for a fun spot to drink cheap wine and spend some money, youre in the right place.

This is one of my my favorite spots in Adriatica in Mckinney! Their food is INCREDIBLE!! I have been there for brunch where they have $3 mimosas their brunch Flatbread was to die for. Ive been there for dinner as well and gir their beet and goat cheese salad which was delicious as well! They have many great options for wine on the weekdays. They have live music during the week and some weekends. I highly recommend :)

Good live music on weekends. Good beer and wine menu. They do have a full bar and nice bistro menu of you get hungry. Attentive staff. Various seating options. Chairs, couches, regular tables. Not too loud in there. Cool little place. Drink specials during the week. Starting with the good-darling venue, sweet staff, nice & varied wine selections. Really enjoyed the shrimp flat bread, the Roscato Dulce, potato/bacon soup and spinach artichoke dip. I wasn t crazy about trying to call the restaurant and getting only numerical menu options and text or call back by leaving a message (they did text) The chips for the dip were undeniably stale which upon asking they replaced with pita bread (better). All in all-my recommendation would be to go check it out and see for yourself!!

Ive been wanting to try this place for years! We went for a girls night and it was great! Monday is all day Happy Hour, so we tried a lot of the appetizers on that menu. They were good and very easy to share. The drinks were also delicious.

Decided to come in for a peaceful lunch by myself today. There were 2 ladies that helped me. One took my order and the other one brought me my food. Both ladies were very sweet. They both had genuine smiles and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in the door. I ordered the BLT croissant and the chicken tortilla soup per the server s recommendation. We went to this restaurant at 6:50 the sign in front said please seat yourself we sat at table the server took our order for drinks appetizers food and dessert and at 7:30 they asked us to leave the table they had reservations at 7pm so they want us finish all our food in rush and leave that is rude and ridiculous they should not have seated us or taken our order if they were full. Nice alternative to Crue wine bar. More casual and lots of 40-60 year old patrons that might be resident the Village. Service was extremely accomodating. Saturday evening is PACKED! And we learned you should definitely reserve your spot a few days ahead. You cant call or reserve seating at the online schedule the day of. Live music is popular in the evenings here. It isnt our thing due to sensitive hearing. Its a concrete floor, and you cant converse during that time unless you sit in the area by the wine lockers. Those are reserved quickly. Nice flights of wine, and we discovered a terrific new chardonnay. The menu was varied and tasty. Enjoyed the maple bourbon breadpudding . Next time, well order the create your own charcuterie board. I understand those are great for take out and far less expensive than other renowned charcuterie restaurants. Kid-friendliness: Definitely saw kids as young as 4 years from 7 to 9 pm. Looked like they were there to celebrate adult relative birthday.

If you live in McKinney and you ve never visited Zin Zen Wine Bistro you re missing out on experiencing one of its best kept secrets. Food: I don t eat pizza but can easily enjoy their margarita flatbread. Drinks: I m a wino so can t go wrong with their selections of Malbec or Red Zin. Music: Over the years I ve enjoyed many bands and will even be among the first to get the crowd dancing. My favorites include Acoustically Speaking (with Alex) and Zack King! But, last night I enjoyed rocking out with a band called Love Handle!! Zin Zen is located in the beautiful Adriatica area of McKinney. Some nights it s a full house and others not so much. Either way, it s worth a visit!

Good small wine bar. Prices are more on the costly side. Staff is very friendly. Good service. Indoor is very cozy, there are some couches and lounge type of chairs that seem relaxing to sit and sip on wine. They also have a bar area and formal tables for sitting. Food looked good as well. Brushatta toast was delicious, chunks of cheese and the balsamic was delicious. They have great beer options as well, local. The Spanish Caesars Salad with grilled chicken ($4 extra, $16 total for salad) is super tasty. The hummus plate was great. They mix feta cheese, olives, etc on the hummus. Makes every bite unique, not boring. To go food is packaged well. Clean bathrooms. They have live music at 8pm inside the restaurant. The heaters werent working outside which sucked cus we were there on a chilly night.

The Monday happy hour brought us in and we do plan to come back but a couple things I will mention are how uncomfortable the seats are both the lounge and sitting chairs and there was no music playing over the speakers which would have helped the ambiance as well as drown out the loud talking from the neighboring table. The service was ok but in the end he did not come back for a while and I eventually got up to find him for our check. I hope our next experience will be a bit better.

3 of us had a lunch at Zin Zen. Jeni S was our server. We ordered soup, salad and flat bread and 3 glasses of white wine. Chardonnay was $ 31 per glass. Very expensive but we wanted to try it anyways. Later we learned that the bottle of the same Chardonnay was on a special price of $62. The server Jeni S didn t bother to mention it when we were ordering and we ended up paying over $90 for 3 glasses instead of the special price. When we saw on the chalkboard above our heads the special we asked if she could adjust the price for us to pay for a bottle price and she can still keep the remaining bottle. Jeni S refused. When we insisted she gave us a business card of the Regina Reed who is the owner. Told us she will have to call Regina and see if she can make the adjustment. 1 minute later she came back and said we have to pay over $ 90 as the owner refused to adjust to a bottle price. So disappointing! As they completely took advantage of us. Jeni S should have mentioned that there is a special deal on the wine when we ordered 3 glasses. But she didn t. The owner had a chance to correct the situation and meantime teach the server the right way of handling the incident but she chose the $$$ over the customer service.

I went to Zin Zen on a Saturday evening to celebrate a friends birthday. Zin Zen had live music that evening. The ambiance of the restaurant was great. The restaurants physical setup allowed for flexibility even when a band was playing. There were areas that allowed you to immerse yourself in the music and others where you could still have a conversation. The staff was polite and attentive. The menu had dishes that sounded great and the drink menu had a good selection of wine and some alternatives for those who are looking for other options. I look forward to going to Zin Zen again soon.

Went in for a Thursday night open mic featuring Grace Ann and Kade Miller, both students from The Guitar Sanctuary. The entertainment was fantastic but I might have a familiar bias for Kade. The food was also really good. I had The Shanewich which was a BLT with a fried egg... sooo very good...

Ive been going to Zin Zen frequently since I moved to Adriatica a couple of years ago. Its really nice to be able to walk over, have a glass of wine and something to eat and walk home. Daniel is my server most of the time and hes always super friendly. Ill really miss this place when I move this summer!... Love this place!

A little hidden jewel, tucked away in the neo-suburban Adriatica area. Nice selection of wines and some pretty tasty menu too. On nicer weather days, the patio is the best spot to sit.

The food was great, and the drinks were fun. We got the build your own meat and cheese board, which was very enjoyable! There was live music which I hoped would be fun, but it was so loud in such a small roomj that we couldnt have a conversation at our table. We will definitely come back, just probably not on a weekend in order to avoid the noise.

What a lovely place to spend some time sipping great wines and tasting flavorful bites. The spinach artichoke dip was delicious along with crispy and perfectly salted chips and pita points. The chicken sandwich was bursting with flavor accompanied by a spinach salad that was perfect. Cant wait to bring my husband to Zin Zen to experience this delightful spot! This is an outstanding neighborhood wine bar and eatery. Best flatbed pizza around, my wife loves the cheese and meat Charcuterie boards, and the atmosphere and music is very good. The owners are present, care and take care of the customers. Excellent in every way!

Went today for brunch. One server and one cook for the whole place. Waited over 1 hour for our food to come. Drinks were flat and not good and the food was just ok. Sad to see a place like this takes for granted their costumers.

Really cute place. Sat in the back in the cozy area with couches and chairs. Flatbread pizza was delish. Service was a little slow and everyone else in my group, their glasses of wine were generously poured except for mine. I let it go but if it happens next time Im there, I will mention it.

It was ok. I am expecting so much more from a luxury location like that. Its clearly run by one family without any precious experience in the industry. No imagination. Decoration zero. Furnitures from the 70s. Food ok, but I do not want to see the kitchen from the guest area. Wine selection is ok to fool the bored rich Carons, but you can do so much better. I know you make so much money, so use it to keep up with the industry and give back to the community, teach them about new wines. I will be back to see the growth.

Live music was on point! The drinks were a bit pricey. I appreciate the fact that they allow for non-reserveable tablets to accommodate walk ins. I will be back but not as I would have been due to the prices of the drinks. I can afford the drinks I just dont like being ripped off.
