So yummy, every single time. Husband ordered a beautiful plate of chicken fried steak which was cooked perfectly. I got the western skillet, which was delicious with the smoked ham, peppers and onions on a bed of hashbrowns. Excellent service my coffee was refilled often and they have a great selection of brunch items to choose from. Adding on some photos on our most recent visit. Which includes pancakes, and nuevo ranchero and chicken fried steak. Another amazing visit.

Clean place, but some servers and hosts aren t the best. Expect to get charged $16 for orange juice full of pulp when you ask for no pulp. Careful ordering the pulled pork, as it was sopping wet with grease. Hashbrowns on my plate were cooked very well but had no flavor, my wife s hashbrowns were lacking any brown. Almost raw, but warm somehow. Very likely frozen.

Food was great and arrived quickly. Otherwise, service was a little slow, but we were our server s only table outside, and they picked it up after noticing our food had landed (We had to ask another server for syrup, etc). The patio is really great by McKinney standards. Honestly I would have given it 5 stars, except the Mexican restaurant whose patio is right next door was playing different music, so we had to listen to two songs at once the whole meal. Maybe both of your restaurants could agree on a radio station?

Everyone is very nice. The atmosphere is very nice,very southern, family oriented, and one of the few restaurants with that vibe left. Also, I noticed they have a lot of regulars that confirm the southern family type of environment that made us enjoy our food even more. Outstanding food they take care of every single dish they serve, and it shows on the presentation and taste. We are very happy with our visit there and the price is not bad at all, I will definitely recommend this place Kid-friendliness: Good kids menu and high chairs available also our kids wasnt the only kid there wich made us feel at ease

I was actually on my way to a restaurant in the block, when I saw Starwood. I was intrigued...it was noon time and they serve Breakfast and Lunch!...It was like a magnet...I was pulled off the sidewalk...and SO HAPPY I WAS TOO! The breakfast was delicious...and my server was amazing...it was such a wonderful experience, I decided I was going to make it a celebration...I found my new go to breakfast cafe! 1000 Stars! We found this place by chance and we were not disappointed. It can get busy in the morning on the weekend but it is worth the wait and the food comes out fast. The food here is always excellent (been mutliple times) and the service is on point. The corn beef hash is delicious. The pancakes are fluffy and soft. Everything was amazing. Definitely recommend this spot if you want some good breakfast food.

This is our go to place for bfast. Was seated and was approached by waitstaff, Armando T at table 11, I picked up attitude when I ordered coffee but brushed it off. We got our food, which was tasty and asked for another cup of coffee. Once again I get the attitude and this time wife picks up on it. We get our bill and slides it practically into my lap. I move it off to the side and enjoy the meal. 10 minutes later he comes back asking if theres anything we needed and pushes the bill back in front of me as if weve overstayed our welcome. We were there no longer than those around us. I left a 20 percent tip for all the people who were involved in making this meal, not for our waiter. Typically I let things slide but do that to many times and you get walked on. Time to call out bad service experience when it happens.

This place comes highly recommended! We visit about three times a month, and the gentleman at the door is always so friendly and welcoming. The service is wonderful, and the food is great for our whole family, which includes four kids ranging from elementary to college age. The wait time for the restaurant is always surprisingly short. Truly a hidden gem. 10/10 do recommend.

I m proud to say this is our place. We go here very often and everyone has always been friendly, welcoming, and respectful. Our whole family loves this place. Their food always hit the spot and their great service makes it even better!! I cannot express how well we re treated and served. We often get our same server and he seems happy all the time. Nonetheless, it feels like everyone is always willing to go above and beyond. The manager remembers our conversations and is great to hear that he cares about following up. Honestly the food and coffee were just bad. I got some pig or hog skillet, whatever it was called, but had I known it was going to be mainly eggs instead of the hash brown skillet the description made it out to be, I would not have gotten it. 2-3 bites, it was cold and just gross. I m not a big fan of eggs but I ll eat them I just don t want the whole meal to be that. If that s what I wanted I would ve ordered an omelette. There was no hot sauce to make it any better either. Thankfully I got pancakes with my meal, that ended up being the only thing I ate. To make matters worse the both was so cramped up to the table, like give me some space, geez. All around horrible experience. Do not plan to return. Waffle House is better than here by far.

We went to the McKinney location by El Dorado Pkwy. Food and atmosphere were good. We got seated pretty fast on a busy Saturday morning. My only complaint is that we ordered one omelette to share since they are so big. We were charged a $2 sharing fee just for them to bring out an extra plate. Seemed pretty nitpicky and unwelcoming. Probably won t go into the normal rotation of restaurants for this reason.

The food is flavorless. It s the 2nd time that my husband and I ordered from there, this time to go. The amount of food is great, the service is friendly, but the food just doesn t cut it. They put the tiny butter packs in with the pancakes, which completely melted it. I don t want melted butter with my pancakes, softened, sure, but melted? No. My pancakes came in a tiny container to where they were going up on the sides. There was no way I would have been able to eat them out of the container if that s the only plate I had. Thankfully I came home with the food and not to work, so I could put it on a real plate. The pancakes are not fluffy or soft, they re thick and dense, I only took a few bites and put them to the side because who wants to eat dense pancakes? I asked for salsa with my western skillet and didn t get any. By looking at the skillet, it s visually pleasing but when eating it, it just tastes like oiled potatoes. I m someone who never adds extra salt to my food, I eat it as it comes but this I had to salt twice. My husband got the bacon, eggs, hash browns and pancakes and had to salt his food 3 times. For the amount of food, the price makes sense. But it just isn t tasteful and we won t be returning. There s another cafe down the street that s a similar price point and the food is super flavorful.

It was pretty busy and we were seated and served food within 20 mins. The Reuben sandwich was ok. If youve ever had Wexlers Deli Reuben, this wont compare, not even close. It was mediocre. Their bacon isnt that great. Service was decent. Check your silverware, I had two different sets and they both had remnants of old food. No bueno. Not a place I would regularly visit but it will suffice for an occasional visit.

Me and my family went to have breakfast today around 2pm . The waiter was very rude . They pressured us to leave tip and we didn t have any cash with us . The waiter came back with my husbands tip of $4 because it was all the cash he had and said take your tip back because it doesn t even give for the lady washing dishes . We felt very disrespected in many ways ! I immediately felt as if i was about to cry . I have never been treated this way . We would ve tipped more if we had more cash with us . Ive been to Mi cocina , olive garden , Red lobster , and many more restaurants that has never pressured me to leave tip . My husband works moving and he works hard under the sun and they don t ever pressure any customers for tip. After leaving that restaurant my heart was broken for the amount of rudeness and bad customer service . Even the manager pressures you to leave tip . So this restaurant is not made for middle class people , be prepared to leave tip or they will treat you rude !!!

Arrived at the cafe on May 28th, 2023. We were the only two sitting on the patio, and were seated around 8:55. We ordered our food and sat patiently waiting for it to arrive. Another table of six arrived 15 minutes after we were seated, and they ordered their food. 10 minutes later they had their food, and we were still waiting on ours. I ordered steak and eggs, and my wife ordered the American breakfast. My eggs were undercooked, my steak was overcooked, the coffee was lukewarm, and my wifes plate was cold. The service was below average, and they were not super busy. I was advised previously to go to the other Starwood Cafe down the street in Adriatica due to the poor service, but I figured I would give this one a shot. I should have gone to the other one.

Not impressed with this place. Eggs were burnt on the outside and runny on the inside, not how I ordered them. Asked for sausage gravy and received cream gravy, waitress said you can go ahead and keep it since you used it. I used 1 tiny spoonful to taste it. Walked in 30 min prior to closing on a Monday. I wasnt rushed to make a decision and was given helpful recommendations by Jennifer. The food was good, fresh and nice sized portions. As a small business owner and having previously owned full service restaurants, I really appreciated what Starwood Cafe offers. The employees all seemed to be upbeat and led by a great manager Carlos.

Delicious food, my fav has to be the avocado bacon burger it s to die for! And their ranch, omg is the best ranch I ve ever had. Friendly staff and Carlos very friendly and up-going! This has been our fav brunch place for weeks now Kid-friendliness: Excelente place with friendly staff and delicious food !

Food was good, manager was very disrespectful! He did not like the amount of our tip and chased after me and my family and asked us to change the tip amount. This was once we came inside he followed by saying it out loud in front a big gathering of customers waiting to be seated. response to owner: yes this is the correct location, I double checked the map and this incident did occur at that location.

The atmosphere is POWERFUL. It feels like if a club mixed with a cafe. When I walked in, it felt so alive, it uplifted me emotionally, the workers are happy, enjoying themselves, joking and having fun while being blown away with all the orders, this place is PACKED. The manager is super friendly, checked up on me, was very sweet to the people who are always coming in, he smiled to the man next to me, shook his hand, asked how we was doing like they were real friends. It was so sweet, everyone working here acknowledged him like family. I ordered the hot chai tea with biscuits and sausage gravy that came with hash browns and the strawberry pancakes. I had to ask the waitress if she could open the honey packets for me and she did, she got a little frustrated because of how difficult it was to open them, but she still did it, it was very kind of her. The biscuits and gravy werent anything worth writing home about, the hash browns were nice and crunchy, but the pancakes were OUT OF THIS WORLD. Its amazing how the pancakes are exactly as described, super fluffy and sweet. Now the strawberries arent mixed in the batter, theyre fresh and put on top. The prices are perfect, nothing over $20, not even reaching up there even during a recession with inflation where everyone is struggling. Its an absolutely perfect place to forget about negativities and enjoy yourself with some amazing pancakes, I 100% suggest this place for pancakes, again theyre SO GOOD!

Starwood lost our business and that of our friends this morning - because apparently they dont want or value it. My wife and several girlfriends meet every Saturday morning for breakfast. They know, from previous visits, that Starwood wont seat them until every single person has arrived. When my wife arrived this morning she was the second (of 4)to arrive. Her friend was standing waiting with a cup of coffee that she had ordered while they waited. My wife got a servers attention and asked to order a cup of hot tea since shes not a coffee drinker. She was curtly asked if she had a table, and said not yet since they were waiting for 2 more to arrive. At that point she was rudely refused service and told she couldnt order her tea until they were seated. Not sure why they were willing to take an order and serve a cup of coffee to her friend while flat out refusing her request for tea, but theyve definitely lost all of the girls and their families business in the future. There are too many other places to choose from who actually treat their customers like they appreciate them being there!

We went to dine and my son was crying. The OWNER came over and asked for us to get him under control. He was very rude!! When I called once we left he said he said it with a smile so it wouldn t come across rude! Kids will cry! If you have kids don t go here!! You will get put out if your child cries!!

The host was grumpy/annoyed when sitting us down because we requested (In a nearly empty room) to sit in a booth further away from the door because it was cold outside. She was annoyed at taking our drink order and her communication skills on this particular morning were non existent... I dont understand how this can happen at a business to the point where people just walk out...its not worth doing business with someone that acts like this... Very disappointed in this experience.

Updated Dec 2022:. Still a favorite brunch spot for us. When weather is great dogs are welcome on the patio. Prices up a bit with inflation -understandable. Great food and service This is a favorite brunch spot for us. Live musician (saxophone) on our last visit. Whole Hog skillet, avocado toast, French toast are a few of our favorites.

The food was ABSOLUTELY delicious! The staff was so friendly, professional and welcoming. The atmosphere was pretty diverse, which I loved. I havent had restaurant breakfast food this good in a VERY LONG TIME! I regret not taking pictures. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros and, oh my gosh, it was so yummy. I was afraid it was going to be too spicy or too heavy, but it was absolutely perfect. My daughter had chicken and waffles ... those waffles, though. They were super fluffy with crispy edges...very dangerous! My husband had over medium eggs, bacon and pancakes Again, the pancakes were so fluffy with crispy edges! And FINALLY, we found a diner that serves one of the most delicious coffees Im telling yall, if you havent done so already, you should definitely try this place out...I dont believe youll regret it! We are definitely going back.

walked in at 2pm 30 minutes before closing first thing the waitress said to me was we are closing soon so the faster you order the better not once have i ever came to a place that close 30 minutes early and especially rushes their guests very unprofessional and i will definitely never be coming back here again eggsquisite is a much better option than starwood
